Adding a link to FIM's approval page on email templates - FIM 2010 R2

Hell everyone,
I would like approval notifications to have a link that directs approvers to the approval page on the FIM portal. This is to simplify the approver's process of having to open up the portal, and navigate to the approval page. Is there a way to achieve this?
I tried using the <a href=approval page link> </a> and it is not working.
An clues will be highly appreciated.

What approval page link do you use?
Is it http://fimportal.mydomain.com/IdentityManagement/aspx/requests/MyApprovals.aspx ? This one should work.

Otherwise you can use FIMService's Outlook add-ins. Then users would have "Approve" and "Revoke" buttons inside Outlook without a need to navigate to portal.

Adding web links into FIM pages

Is it possible to add web links or text or even tool tip texts to parts of FIM?
For example, I would like to add a compliance statement for photos in the FIM portal so that when users choose to upload their own photos, they're prompted with a statement about acceptable and professional photos. I haven't seen any customization examples

Adding and linking report region to a page with an existing report region

I have page that has a report region. It is based on a master table.
I want to add another report region to the same page for the detail.
I have added the region of tpye HTML and entered the query in the source section.
How do link this detail region with the master region. That is join the detail to query after the master based on the master row selected.

It shows how to do it using two pages, but putting both reports on one page is pretty much the same.

File not found when adding a link to another site collection on the navigation page

When I am adding a link to another site collection in the navigation page, I got the following error. Is there any limitation for the navigation setting? why can't we add a link to another site collection in the navigation page?

Adding a link to all your pages without doing it one-by-one

Probably a simple thing for those who do it all the time - but I have a site with about 30 pages, and each page has numbered links to all the other pages (1-32 now). Every time I add a new page, I have to make sure it's added to all the other 32 pages. How can I do this without doing it one by one?

This is closing the barn door after all the horses have left...
When you built your site, you should have used Server-side Includes or Dreamweaver Templates. But since you didn't, you'll need to retrofit your site now with server-side include statements or Library Items. It may take you an afternoon to set all this up on 30 pages but, going forward, managing site wide menus will be much easier.

Adding a custom link to an Application OAF page

I need to add a custom link to a standard OAF page, this link should launch an application which requires a log in.
Can I add this link through personalization.
If I add this link through personalization, how do I pass parameters to this application which allows us to implement the Single Sign on. We will have single sign on turned on for the eBusiness suite and the other application.

If your Single Sign On is configured, you should be able to navigate directly to the Page. Adding a link through personalization is not a problem. Parameters could be included in the URL itself(you might need to check on security).
But I am not sure how much would your third party application would integrate with Oracle. Kindly try passing information through URLs and check out the behaviour.

Adding Report link in SRM web page

Hi
We are having SRM 4.0 with R/3 4.7 as backend in classic scenario.
We have created a custom report in EBP and want to put the report link in the menu of SRM web page on LHS.
Can anyone please let me know the procedure and steps how to do it.
Is it something we can do by adding the link in the templates or some coding is to be done in the web page?

A couple things to check:
1. You made the change to the assigned composite role?
2. Did you do a user comparison after making the role change?
3. To be safe - logoff and logon again to pick-up the changes.
4. Logon via the gui - do you see the new menu option in the gui - if not go back are look at your role it must not have saved as expected.
We have add various tcodes to the menus in the same manner w/out issue. Good luck.

Issue while adding Help Link using personalization

Hi... i am adding a help links on all the iRec pages using personalization.
Requirment:-
Need to have a help link on all the pages of iRec at the left corner of the page
So i made the following changes to do this...
1. Created a new Region(This regios is shared by all the pages of iRec)
StackLayout (AM set to deflaut value)
|_
RowLayout (Horz Align set to end)
2. Now i go to the page, click on personalize link at top, and create a new Stack Layout Region below the PageLayoutRN for the Page
and set the extend property of this StackLayout to my above create region.
3. Create a new item under RowLayout, Item Type "Link" and set the destination URI for this link to say "http://google.com"
I do the same steps above on all the pages of iRec and point the destination URI for the link to the one i want to set and all this is done at Site level.
But the issue i am getting is that i am not able to see these personalizations for all the users and at some places the links i created are not clickable. They simply display on the page but cannot be clicked.
Is there something i am doing wrong? so is there any step i did wrongly? Please let me know the solution.

It should not be show this behavior. one test you can do in this reference create Two more item at site level say MessageStyleText and one more link and check this behavior to all the user.

It's not a link, its an icon that indicates the photo cannot be found in the location where PSE expects it. This happens because you either renamed, moved or deleted the photos outside of PSE. To fix the problem, use File->Reconnect (you will have to find the actual file in one of your folders), and in the future, no more moving, renaming or deleting photos outside of PSE; if you MUST rename or move photos, do so from within PSE.

Doco/functionality mismatch: Adding a Bounded Task Flow to a Page

Hi JDev team
With JDev 11g TP4 and the latest published ADF Guide in hand, under section 14.3 "Adding a Bounded Task Flow to a Page", subsection "To add a bounded task flow containing pages to a JSF page:" it notes that when you drag n drop a bounded task flow from the App Navigator into a JSF page you get the choice of creating a button or link. I don't get this option, instead I can create a region or a dynamic region in the drag n drop submenu.

note that it says "containing pages", not "containing page fragments". If your taskflow contains page fragments "jsff" then the choice is a region, if it is pages (jspx) then the choice is button or link to launch the taskflow.

We are working on Iprocurement à Notificaitons à Requisition notification details page.
I have a requirement to add 2 attributes to the Requisition approval page in the : requisition lines table region.
We have identified the region for this : /oracle/apps/icx/por/wf/webui/ReqLinesNotificationsRN
We added the attributes to the above mentioned region, but it is not getting displayed ?
Any suggestions ?

Did you add it to the VO and do a substitution of the VO?

This is Raji. I am doing the below UWl customization in the UWL. did struck some where.
I want to add the " Manage substitution link " in the UWL header page.I have added the" launchSubstitution manger " reference action in the" default view" of the XML configuration file.but not sure the "manage substitution rule " link is not appearing in the UWL table header.
in the same way i have added the "refresh" action . but that refresh link is appearing.
pls find the screen shot and the XML config file.

Firefox is adding advertising links to certain words on my website cornish-surfing.co.uk, and when I open a new tab an additional window opens with unwanted sites.
1. How can I stop these things from happening?
2. Why is it happening?
These things only happen when I’m using the Firefox browser. I use Sophos antivirus and firewall and the scans indicate my system is clean. So I’m assuming that it’s built into Firefox or there’s a security flaw with Firefox.
Can you let me know which and how I can stop it from happening?

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your pc (certainly nothing that is shipping with a plain official firefox build).
please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

OTL/HXC - Adding Help Link to Self Service Time Entry (TcActivitiesPG)

Hello folks,
I'm a system analyst newly assigned to handling Oracle HR at my job. One thing I'm looking into is the possibility of adding a link to help documentation on our intranet (i.e. outside of Oracle) to the page where employees enter their time (using Self Service OTL). The problem is that no matter how much I look at personalizations for this page, I can't seem to track down a page element that could be used for that. I know there should be something, but I'm not having any luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? How would you add an arbitrary link at the top (or bottom) of the self service timecards?

We're in the process of upgrading to R12; is it possible to add or custom links through personalization there, or is it still something that can only be done via customization? (We can certainly do the latter, but were hoping for a solution that didn't require it.)

OIM 11g: send direct link to approval tasks in email notification

Hi all!
What do I want to achieve: I want to send email notification to assignee in case if some approval task in OIM has assigned to them and this notification must have a direct link to the page of approval task details from which assignee can approve or reject an approval task.
The default email notification that exists in approval task “DefaultRoleApproval” has a direct link to a request details page:

What is the direct link to task details page for approval with exact ID which I can include in an email to satisfy my requirement?

If at all you cannot get the direct link for approve/reject then try the actionable email from SOA. Once you have that configured the emails gets approver/reject links so that approvers can directly approve/reject the task from email. If that works for you then you can look at the format of those links in the email and deduce what you need the url as.
