Adding a note to object (rectangle) in JS

Is it possible to add a note (part of the attributes) to a currently selected object from a JS script?
I need to "tag" a rectangle.
Thanks franK

Full help is available from within the ESTK Editor, under the Help Menu.
To me, it's quite cumbersome to find what you need, so I first re-made it into a HTML version, and from that a compiled Windows Help file. If you're on Windows, you can read (search, index, bookmark et caetera) it right away; on Mac OS X you'll need a Windows Help compatible viewer (and Jongware's personal recommendation is Robin Lu's excellent feature packed iCHM viewer -- a link is in the first "Questions, anyone" remark on the page I'm about to announce).
You can download the Illustrator CS4 and CS5 Help files from my site: http://www.jongware.com/idjshelp.html. You also might want to download the Javascript Core Classes (File, Folder, Math, Date, and more) and ScriptUI Classes (windows, panels, dialogs, dropdowns, textedits, and more) for easy reference. (One of these days I'll integrate these into the Illy CS Help file ...)
Ah -- the "note" property. Well, that's a property of PageItem (and, aside, of TextPath as well) and a PageItem is a superclass of (breaths in) CompoundPathItem, GraphItem, GroupItem, LegacyTextItem, MeshItem, NonNativeItem, PathItem, PlacedItem, PluginItem, RasterItem, SymbolItem, and TextFrameItem (breaths out). So that covers just about all, I guess. Except for TextPath -- I wonder why.

  • Added fields not appearing in the DSO transformations.

    Hi,
    I have added three new info objects into data fields in the DSO then activated and not appearing added fields in the transformations.
    Please suggest me,
    regards,
    Jayapal.

    Hi Jayapal,
    i dont know whether it would help you...you can give a try on it.
    Instead of deleting the Transformation, just delete the mappings if any in the transformation.
    Goto DS->Fields Tab-->In the Column Template info Object. Try mapping corresponding IO with the Source IO.
    Then it will show a pop up give Copy . Activate the DS.
    Goto Info Provider>Select the Transformation> If it is active-->reactivate it by clicking the Pencil Icon with glass and click activate icon.
    If its not active, then reactivate it again by clicking the Pencil Icon with glass.
    Let me know if it Works... Cheers

    Hi,
    Before posting any query/plsql blocks, please ensure that you have written it clean and complete with less syntax errors. ( at least general syntax errors, you can avoid). Then somebody can have an interest to check your logical error.
    About your posting, refer below solution step-by-step. It may help you, about what you are looking for? By the way, you must be knowing, what you are going to to do with. I haven't concentrated about your requirement; as it was not missing in your posting.

  • Error in Java script "undefined is not an object"

    Dear All,
    Im using InDesign CS4. Im trying to remove the anchor frames containing some text. but i got the error msg "undefined is not an object". Here is my part code.
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "AQ\\d+";
    myFoundItems=app.findGrep();
    var myLen=myFoundItems.length;
    for(var i=myLen-1; i>=0;i--){
        alert(myFoundItems[i].contents);
        var a = app.select(myFoundItems[i].parentTextFrames);
        a.remove();
    Please help anyone.
    Thanks
    Selva

    Hi Ariel,
    First, you don't need to select an object to remove it. So you can just use:
    myFoundsItems[i].parentTextFrames.remove()
    Unfortunately, that's not correct, because "parentTextFrames" is an Array of text frames, so this will fail. Maybe something like this:
    myFoundsItems[i].parentTextFrames[0].remove();
    Secondly, if you want to select something you need to write
    myObject.select()
    This is not correct either. App object also have "select" method, and you can pass the object. Example:
    var doc = app.documents.add(),
        rec = doc.rectangles.add({geometricBounds:["0mm", "0mm", "10mm", "10mm"]});
    app.select(rec);
    Hope that helps.

    Hi Ted!
    Thanks for the reply and suggestions.  I don't know if there is a different version of the viewers folder that I should be using but I am using the ones from this folder:
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\4.0\crystalreportviewers12
    That said, I didn't see anything amiss in Fiddler and when I looked in Firebug at the script portion where it was constructing the FlexParameterUI panel, I could see where it was capturing the report parameter names and prompts.  I decided to rip out all the parameters out of my report and voila, it loaded up fine in the viewer.
    I then added a new string parameter giving it a simple short name (Test1) and, initially, I did not use this parameter in the report.  It loaded up in the viewer just fine too.
    I then added the parameter to the report header and I was back to the same problem - it would not load in the viewer and the error was the same as the subject line shows.
    For the record, I am using Crystal Reports 2008 v12.2.0.290
    So is there some other crystalreportviewers12 that I should be using?
    Kind regards,
    Evan

  • Libmtp error: could not send object info

    I have an HTC One m8, and a laptop running Arch Linux. I installed gvfs-mtp, and my computer detects my phone and the files inside of it. I use the GNOME desktop environment, and it's default file manager.
    If I try to transfer files to my phone, I get an error reading:
    There was an error copying the file into mtp://[usb:003,005]/SD%20card.
    "libmtp error: could not send object info".
    I am not sure how to fix this. i tried reinstalling libmtp and gvfs to no avail.
    I want to be able to connect my phone to my computer, and transfer files through my file manager. Any help would be appreciated..

  • 4.0 Calendar link 'length is null or not an object'

    After upgrading to 4.0 earlier this week, we now have a problem with our calendars that were built in 3.1.1. Whenever I click on an event link in IE i get the error "length is null or not an object". When I click the link from Firefox I get the error "b is undefined" from the apex_widget_4_0.js file. After reading the user guide for 4.0, I deleted the region and re-added it with the same SQL, but I get the same error.
    Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi,
    It will be great if you can point to the url where you are facing this issue maybe a url from apex.oracle.com. The comment like clicking on event is throwing an error is confusing, here which event you are talking about.
    I created a calendar in apex.oracle.com of various types SQL Calendar, SQL Calendar with Partial Page Refresh as display type, Easy Calendar , Easy Calendar with partial Page refresh as Display Type and all these calendar provided with day and column link and did not get any issues as specified.
    It will really helpful if you can provide a URL in apex.oracle.com or any other site with the specified issue and also with clear explanation of what "clicking on event" means here
    thanks

  • BPELConsole error message: 0.prettyDate is null or not an object

    We have successfully deployed the sample approval workflow. We modified that workflow and added an email task. The workflow was deployed and it launches and completes successfully. Via the BPELConsole, we can view the "audit" for that instance. However, when we view the "flow" for that instance, we get the error message:
    Error: Internal Bug (# 81)
    '0.prettyDate' is null or not an object
    I can't find any reference to "prettyDate" (i even searched for Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, etc) to no avail. Any ideas on what the heck this means?
    To reiterate - all we changed was to add an Email task and the process otherwise behaves as usual.
    Our BPEL install is in its own Application Server instance. It is version 10.1.3.3.
    thank you,
    iggy.

    This is a bug - I know it happend on 10.1.2.
    You need to apply patch...I don't remember the number sorry.
    Try to find it in metalink.

  • CRVS2010 Beta - 'Sys.Application' is null or not an object

    I have been attempting to create an ASP.NET Web Application in C# which includes Crystal Reports. However, as soon as a CrystalReportViewer is so much as added to a blank project, I begin receiving the following error:
    Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'Sys.Application' is null or not an object
    The error is being called in crv.js. According to the research I've done on the topic, Sys.Application is not initialized until execution reaches the </forms> tag. I've only been able to find one other person complaining of the problem who uses Crystal Reports (although there are quite a few who get it from ComponentArt, which I don't use), and he claims to have fixed it by editing crv.js, but I can't find that file and I'm sure there must be another way if so few people are encountering this error.
    I have to assume I'm missing something obvious. Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much!
    As I mentioned earlier, I cannot figure out how to edit the .js file. Somehow, there are 6 files named crv.js on my hard drive, and I am not sure which of them to edit; there is no copy in the actual project, and I already tried editing the one in C:\Program Files (x86) to no effect.
    I'll try editing them all once I'm finished re-installing CR.
    EDIT: Editing C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\ASP.NETClientFiles\crystalreportviewers14\js\crviewer\crv.js had the effect I was looking for. Unfortunately, a try-catch block somehow caused "'bobj' is undefined" errors, so instead I edited the code to read:
    if(typeof(Sys.Application)!=='undefined') {
        Sys.Application.notifyScriptLoaded();
    That stopped the problem. Thank you for all your help!

  • Please help debug 'this.events[...] is null or not an object

    Hi.
    I'm getting this error : line 3267 this.events[...] is null or not an object.
    How can I debug this? when I click yes to debug, I am not brought to my line of code, so I can't figure it out. has anyone encountered this before?

    Hi. thank you for your response. I actually think i pinpointed the code, but don't know how to resolve it.
    it seemed to be coming from a script. when i attempted to delete the javascript, i got a message that it was in use. i deleted all instances of calling it from my afc, when i click 'afc' tab from the scripts page, it still shows that the script is called. the peculiar thing is that it has the correct form, but when it comes to having the name of the dictionary field, it does NOT have it (usual format is 'dictionaryfieldname: when the item is changed', but instead just has 'when the item is changed'. assuming that there was some hanging pointer, i subsequently added this script to all my fields in the afc, and hoped that when i would delete them , it would pick up the orphan reference. if anyone has any ideas how to get around this sticky issue, i'd be greatful. i do not want to delete the afc, or dictionary.

  • ORA-22806: not an object or REF on the reserved word FROM, how to debug?

    I am honestly confused on this one...
    When I run the following in sqlplus:
    SQL> SELECT a.fname, a.lname
    FROM h_user_m a
    WHERE a.id IN
    (SELECT UNIQUE m.user_id
    FROM h_user_role m
    WHERE m.role_id =
    (SELECT UNIQUE id
    FROM h_role_n
    WHERE LOWER (name) = 'wc-ismp-admin')
    OR m.role_id =
    (SELECT UNIQUE id
    FROM h_role_n
    WHERE LOWER (name) = 'wc-ismp-user'))
    AND a.id NOT IN (SELECT user_id
    FROM ip_user);
    ERROR at line 2:
    ORA-22806: not an object or REF
    I run the same query in Toad for Oracle v9.7.2.5 and it returns the same error, but highlights the reserved word FROM. I googled the error, but I'm not for sure why the reserved word FROM would be causing the error?

    Thank you for the quick response.
    I tried your query and I still receive the same 'ORA-22806: not an object or REF' error & in Toad, it does highlight the reserved word FROM.
    Oddly enough, I went back and ran the first sub-query from both of our SQL statements and no errors returned.
    Only when I added the sub-query back to the main query I receive the error as mentioned.
    So, the following worked:
    select m.user_id
    from h_user_role m
    where m.role_id in
    (select id
    from h_role_n
    where lower (name) = 'wc-ismp-admin'
    or lower (name) = 'wc-ismp-user'
    minus
    select user_id
    from ip_user)
    but added back to:
    select a.fname, a.lname
    from h_user_m a
    where a.id in(...)
    The error returns - the same steps apply to my statement as well...
    Looking at the 10g Release 2 (10.2) documents, I don't see any restrictions to the IN reserved word, in terms of number of sub-queries, etc...

  • Adding an Array of Objects into an external Web-Service

    Hi all,
    I want to populate an Array of Objects into an external Web-Service which I have introspected into BPM. But I am finding it difficult to do so which should be very easy I guess.
    When i use the EXTEND keyword for adding the array of objects, it gives me the following parameters which are not required:-
    testArray.records.extend(name : "", attributes : null, value : "", children : {  }, tagName : "", namespace : "", isNil : false);
    I only need to populate the name and value pairs and do not need to populate others. But there is no way for me to do this.. How do I populate other parameters or skip them especially
    children which is a Fuego.Xml.XMLObject[].. How do I populate that? How do I populate attributes which is an associative array and not required..
    Is there a proper documentation of consuming external Web-Services into BPM?

    Very interesting, I am going to have to really break this down and see if I can make sense out of it with my 300 lines of code LOL.
    I think this may jsut work at first glance and will let you know!
    It works. We all use it all of the time. The old Add-Member was a big pain in the neck.  InPowerShell V2 New-Object -Property ws added to take a hash of name/value pairs and convert them into an object in one step.  It is faster and more reliable.
    $myprops=@{
        Name='joe'
        Birthdate=[datetime]'02-12-1965'
        Weight=[int]130
        Married=$false
        Flags=[byte]0x3F
    # we can change a value on the fly
    $myprops.Weight+=5  # adjust weight for liars
    New-Object PsObject -Property $myprops
    OR get name=value pairs from a file and make into an object
    $fileprops=Get-Content mydata.txt | ConvertFrom-StringData
    New-Object PsObject -Property $fileProps
    There are more than a dozen other variations of how to levcerage this to create objects out of other things like results from old DOS commands.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 undefined in not an object Help Please

    I am so sick and tired of getting this error message when I try to create a pdf contact sheet - undefined is not an object.  Can someone help me?
    What frustrates me the is there is no log file telling me what image has the problem which Bridge does not like.
    This example is of brand new eps files that were created in the last month
    I also have the same undefined object is not an object using AI files but none are shown in this example.
    If there is no solution to tell me what eps or ai file(s) bridge does not like - is there a setting I can change so Bridge skips the file it does not like?  Sorta silly skipping a file for a contact sheet but if that is a workaround to make it bridge work that would be a huge improvement versus the program not working at all, LOL...
    1. I have tried using another program to rename all my files to be sequential numbers too, so that is taking more time and I am losing the ability to find my files by name and I still get the undefined is not an object.
    2. I am to the point of using other programs to create jpeg images of AI and EPS files and then using bridge to make contact sheets and doing that takes a ton more time and is just silly to do so now I am to the point of asking for help.
    3. Operating system is Wondows 7 - I use CS6 - Adobe Bridge for making contact sheets - screen shoot is attached - all CS6 items are up to date with updates.
    4. Yes, I have searched the internet for help and searched adobe for help --- seems like no one has posted a solution.

    I am having this same issue. I'm attempting to make a pdf in Bridge but am getting the error message "undefined is not an object." A log or a report of some kind would be very useful here to find out which object is the offender. Looking at my files they appear to be in order but obviously something is amiss....
