Adding a preloader to an existing movie

If I already have an existing movie, what is the best way to add a preloader to this movie? I have 1 frame with a few layers right now. Then, I have some movie clips on frame 1. Should I just move everything to frame 2? Does that throw anything out of sync? I am using labels in the movie clips that that I can use gotoAndPlay("label");
Is this good practice also to use the labels like that?

the easiest way is to create a new fla what will contain your preloader code and animation and then load your main swf using this new one.

there's no one answer for everyone.
but for an inexperienced coder that's already completed their main project and is adding a preloader as an after-thought, it's usually easiest to create a stand-alone preloader.
and even for experienced coder's, that's usually the easiest way to preceed.

Problem adding a new field to existing BPS planning layout

I am new to BPS and planning
I have a requirement to add a new field which has values maintained as 0 and 1 to an existing planning cube.The user wants this new field in the existing planning layout where in he can enter the values for this field as 0 or 1.I have created a new field and maintained values for this field as 0 and 1.I have added this field to the existing planning area and have created variable with fixed value with range 0 to1.I have added the same in selections in existing planning level and package as well along with other existing selection conditions.
In additional functions of adhoc package they have made setting as set to all possible char combination.
In this planning area all the selections are locked in planning level and package.
Now when i execute the planning layout to enter data,my new field is grayed out,it does not allow me to enter the values.need help with this as to how can i make this field input enabled.This is an independent characteristic.

If you are a Verizon user, try this:
Open the phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating "Settings updated."
Double tap the Home button to bring up the recently used apps list at the bottom. Locate the Phone, Message, and Contacts apps, swiping if necessary, and press and hold until they jiggle then press the red minus sign to stop them.

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.

You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.
You will need a minimum of 10-12 GBs of free space to install Yosemite, however, that is a bare minimum and should be at least twice that amount.

Implications of adding new key fields to existing table

I have searched forum regarding this. But didn't find exact answer.
We are planning to add new key fields to existing Ztable. I want to know the implications of this.
I have checked the where used list of table and found no impact. Only one point is making me to think again and again.
If we add key fields to existing table then we have to adjust the table from SE14 to activate it. But this adjustment doesn't ask for TR.
So if i release my TR, entries in other systems will also be adjusted accordingly??? Business is OK with the new fields values to be blank for existing entries.

Yes the data in transported systems will also be adjusted. If this table contains too much data make transport at late hours because it will take long and table can't be used while it's adjusted. In this adjustment process data is copied to a temporary table and moved back to original table using move-corresponding command after key added. There will data loss if you remove a key or key fields field length but in your case it shouldn't be a problem.

Adding a Preloader

Hello,
I am sort of doing this backwards...I just finished a small site in Flash, but I've realized I probably should have a preloader before it begins. Is it too late to add this? Is there a way of having a preloader in a separate file and when it's finished it loads the actual? If not, how can I move every frame aside?
Any help would be appreciated - I hope it's not too late to add one in!!

Like ol' Granny used to say in the 1860s: "It's never too late to add a preloader, son!".
OK, enough with the jokes...
You can add a preloader after you're done with the site (like I do, sometimes), by simply adding a scene to your project; In the preloader scene you tell Flash to go to the next scene (website) using AS.
Done.

We have configured Charm in our landscape and we use Solution Manager 7.1 SP08.
Requirements:
Add a new system to the existing ChaRM Project.
Edit the logical components for e.g. To replace current SID (QA1) with another SID (QA2)
Add items (Systems or Tasks)to the existing task list
We faced problems (duplicate record dumps), while configuring as per our requirements above. SAP suggested us to
Close the Project and create a new one to include a new system. [This is not feasible for us]
Close the current maintenance cycle and create a new one if you want to edit the logical systems or to add any task or system to the existing task list.
So we have the following questions
What is the impact on closing the current maintenance cycle? We have half of transports in released and half in locked status.What happens to the transports that are not yet released?
Will they automatically get released or
Will they not get impacted or
Will they get assigned to the new maintenance cycle automatically or
Do we need to do it manually or does it not matter
Since we are close to starting our ITC, how do we go about that? How will we bundle our transports for our ITC with different maintenance cycles holding transports
What is the impact on locking a maintenance cycle?
What is the impact on project team members on creating a new maintenance cycle?
How does the maintenance cycle get impacted if we refresh existing systems?
Have you faced a similar problem? Is there an alternate solution?

What happens to the transports that are not yet released?

Added new parm to an existing SQL stored procedure CR 11 doesn't like it

I have added a new parameter to an existing SQL stored procedure (SQL 2000). This stored procedure is currently being called from a Crystal XI report. It prompts for a date which works great. (The report was created with this parameter). I added a new parameter to the stored procedure. When I do a preview in Crystal, it prompts for the new parameter, but is NULL when I look at the SQL query and it brings back no data. If I try to verify the database, it tells me that I am missing parameter @ProcessType (varchar(5))--(name of new parameter). I have physically added this parameter to the crystal report with the select expert and still no luck. I have already tried renaming the procedure but am unable to update datasource location because of this parameter. The report is very detailed and I do NOT want to create a new report.

Unfortunately, I have tried and retried to do this. Nothing changes. I usually would get a message like database has changed, proceeding to fix report. I don't get this. It merely tells me database is up to date and only returns the 1 parameter, yet when I go to the datasouce and try to update it, it tells me that I have not supplied the new parameter.
I have tried everything, from closing Crystal reports and then going so far as to reboot my machine, just in case their was some kind of caching going on.
I have even asked other people I work with to look at it to make sure I am not doing something dumb...

Adding data file to the existing tablespace given wrong format file name

while adding the data file existing tablespace. i given wrong format '/dev/oracle/data/user_data_02' i miss the .dbf extension for this data file.
Alter tablespace ts2 add datafile '/dev/oracle/data/user_data_02' size 200m
the data file was created.
So i want to know. What will happen if the data file is wrong format?

it doesnt matter what you name the file. oracle will be able to use it. if you need to change the name to meet your naming conventions, then you will need to take the db down and rename the file at the OS level and then startup mount to rename the file at the DB level.
why are you puting files in /dev? Thats for devices.

Adding new column in an existing report which was build using Union

While working in OBIEE 11g I encounter an issue.
My existing report was build using UNION at Criteria Tab in Analysis. Now I have a requirement to add a new column into the same report. For each criteria I have added the new column but when I go back to the "Result Columns". I see a new field added but it is not allowing me to open or edit column properties for that new column & at the same time it is not allowing me to navigate to other tabs like Results, Promts, and Advanced.
I don’t want to build this report from scratch. Is there any workaround to get it resolved?

Just check it once the new added column data types are mismatched or not?
and the new added column should be navigated into excluded section, so u should edit the report and dragged into the table column section.

Error when adding a schema to an existing workspace

I am trying to add an existing schema to my workspace, and am getting ORA-20001: Error with: GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_RLS TO BILLING ORA-01031: insufficient privileges. I tried logging in as sys and granting that privilege, and it worked. However, going back to the workspace, I still did not see the new schema listed.
The user and tables have all been created in the database. The BILLING schema showed up in the available schemas to add to the workspace. I have also tried adding a new schema to the workspace. The BILLING2 schema was created, but I received the same error when it tried to add it to the workspace.
Is there a grant or user that could be missing? I am using HTMLDB 2.0.

Adding a folder to an existing disco report adds unnecessary table joins

Hello,
I have recently created a new disco folder and adding it to existing reports is causing the reports to error out after running for ever. When I had a look at the SQL inspector, what is happening is that a table ( which was already on the report prior to my amendments and is the table my new folder joins to) is being queried twice. When i build the query from scratch using exactly the same folders, this issue does not happen. The users are used to the already existing reports and all they want to do is add extra information from this new folder. It would be a big ask to expect them to build new reports from scratch. Kindly get back to me with any ideas. I am going to try to change my registry settings and see if it makes a difference

No, the new folder is made up of only one table. The table that is being replicated is the underlying table of a folder by nre folder joins to and already exists in my report. This is the scenario: My current report has the personal details and address tables. I am now adding a folder that brings in the job details into the report
