Adding dynamic table in static Group UI element

Hi Experts,
I have a Group UI element under Root Ui element. Now in wdDoinit i have crerated a dynamic table. Can some one suggest how can i add my table in that Group UI element?
Regards
Pranav

Hi Pranav,
you can only add dynamic elements in the wdDoModifyView method of your view.
So you best store your table element in the view-context, then use the following in your doModify:
// get the Table from context (may differ)
IWDTable myTable = wdContext.currentContextElement().getMyTable();
// get the group from view
IWDGroup group = view.getElement("<MYGROUP_ID>");
group.addChild(myTable);
hope that helps.

  • Adding dynamic attributes to static context node

    Hi All,
    I have defined a context node LINES with several attributes. This is done staticly during developmenttime.
    During run-time node LINES is extended with several attributes dynamicly. See below:
    10     HEADER_GUID               ->
    11     DETAIL_GUID               ->
    12     EXTERNAL_ID               ->
    13     OBJECT_TYPE               ->
    14     IN_OUT_PLAN               ->
    15     TRAFFIC_LIGHT_1               ->
    16     TRAFFIC_LIGHT_2               ->
    17     TRAFFIC_LIGHT_3               ->
    18     TRAFFIC_LIGHT_4               ->
    19     _LOCATION          \TYPE=STRING     ->
    20     _ZZTOPGROUPING     \TYPE=STRING     ->
    21     _STATUS          \TYPE=STRING     ->
    22     _100000200          \TYPE=STRING     ->
    19..22 are added dynamicly.
    I have an internal table that matches de new context. This <fs_tb_tree_new> I want to bind like:
    *&- bind table
      lr_node->bind_table( new_items =  <fs_tb_tree_new>
                           set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
    In <fs_tb_tree_new> the dynamicly added attrbutes contains values e.g. (the static attributes also have values via <fs_tb_tree_new>):
                         _LOCATION   _ZZTOPGROUPING  _STATUS              _100000200
    5     Africa     0002     Reporting Entity     0.000
    6     Russia, CIS     0003     Identify                          0.000
    An ALV presents the values of the attribute. But.... only the values of the static part are presented, not the dynamic attributes added during runtime.
    Please advise what I forget or do wrong .
    Thanks in advance.
    John

    I solved the issue:
    If you use a combination of static attributes added with dynanic attributes (during runtime) for dynamic ALV, I advise to create a new node and bind the values to this new created node:

    I've never used dynamically changing popup items variable before, and I'm not sure it will work(?)
    But, if it's displaying a long string, it does not sound like 'items' is being assigned a proper table yet.
    I don't know what you mean by a  "chunk" of values. I assume you mean table.
    In any case, if SYPNEventResults[1].title is a string, then SYPNEventResults[1].value can be any legal lua type.
    Likewise for SYPNEventResults[2], SYPNEventResults[3], ...
    If you can index/display the title with this syntax, e.g. LrDialogs.message( SYPNEventResults[1].title ), then the popup should be initialized thusly:
    viewFactory:popup_menu {
           items = SYPNEventResults,
           value = LrView.bind('eventname2'),
           width_in_chars = 40,
    if a function is returning multiple values, then to get it into a table "array", do this:
    local tableArray = { myTableArrayFunc( myTableArrayParameters ) }
    Does this help?

  • How to hide columns that are getting added dynamically to UI Element 'Table

    In SRM 7.0 while displaying a RFx, click on "responses and awards" button.
    In the response comparision tab once the user selects response number and clicks on "compare all responses".
    Item details table is displayed with fields item number,internal number,item description,........,Price etc.
    Requirement is  to hide the price column from the table.
    The UI element type is 'Table'.
    But the catch is there is no column price visible at layout design level.
    This field is getting added dynamically at run time.
    When i right click and see the 'more field help' at the front end i get the field id as 'GRP_1_COL_3_TXTV'.
    lo_table ?= view->get_element( id = 'ITEMS_TABLE' ).
    lo_column = lo_table->get_column( id = 'GRP_1_COL_3_TXTV').
    ASSERT lo_column IS NOT INITIAL.
    lo_column->set_visible( EXPORTING value = '01' ).
    I had written the above code in the pre-exit of WDDOMODIFYVIEW.
    But i am getting dump as assertion failed.it says no column by name 'GRP_1_COL_3_TXTV'.
    Please help me inhow to hide fields or buttons getting generated dynmically.
    Regards,
    Venkat Raghavan.

    Hi Anitha,
    What i understood from your question is,you want to control the table from your inputs.I have a one question for you what do you want to show defaultly i.e when you run the application what you want to show,either no table or table with some values.
    Any how i am giving solution in this way.
    If both inputs are given proper table output is displayed
    Write your below logic in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW )
    Here i am assuming that you already have a table element in the view.
    Get the values entered in the input fields and compare those 2 values ,if the condition is satisfied then bind the values which you want to show in the table to the context node.
    but if only 1 input is given a column is empty in the output table so i want to hide this column dynamically at runtime based on my inputs
    You are telling that you know the empty column.If so get the view element reference and use the REMOVE_COLUMN to remove the column.
    data:lr_table type ref to cl_wd_table,
           lr_column type ref to L_WD_TABLE_COLUMN.
    lr_table ?= view->get_element( 'TABLE1' ).
    CALL METHOD LR_TABLE->REMOVE_COLUMN
        EXPORTING
          ID          = 'TABLE1_color'
         INDEX      =
        RECEIVING
          THE_COLUMN = lr_column.
    i want to hide some empty rows also at runtime based on inputs.
    Removing the rows is very simple.if you know the key fields data of internal table from your input fields then do in this way.
    delete itab from wa where key1= "12" and key2="abd".
    Now bind the internal table to context node.
    LO_ND_hcm->BIND_TABLE(
          NEW_ITEMS            = it_final
          SET_INITIAL_ELEMENTS = ABAP_TRUE ).

  • Adding dynamic size table to Interactive Form

    Hello everyone,
    I have a node with multiple elements that i would like to show in an interactive pdf form.
    I'm using the Adobe LiveCycle Designer to do it, but i'm only managing to bind "solo" variables, not tables.
    How can i associate dynamically a table with several lines to a pdf interactive form ? I tried a list box but i still only get the first element shown in the box. Am i doing anything wrong ?
                 Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    Basically the general way to add a table to INteractive form is by adding a subform elemet to a subform element and(i mean subform in a subform), now map the fields u want to be displayed as a table.
    For the fisrt subform set the LayoutType-Flow Content,Flow DirectionTable.
    Then select the allow page breaks within the content option.
    And the binding should be Normal.
    for the second subform:
    LayoutType-Flow Content,Flow DirectionTable row.
    Now also select the option allow page breaks.
    Then for Binding tab: select the Repeat Subform for each data Item, then min count=1.
    And now if ur table columns contain names like abc, def and xyz.
    Then in the script editor code something like this
    abc[*]; under show: initilaze, language: Formcalc and Run at: client
    Hope this should work out for you.
    let me know if u have any more queries.
    Thanks,
    Lohi

  • Interactive form in WD4A - dynamic table - adding rows

    Hi,
    I have a problem with dynamic table in WD4A. User can add row to table by clicking a button on form, but added rows are not transfered to mapped context node in my web dynpro application. I have made a lot of searches on SDN and I have found a lots of threads, but no answer.
    Maybe this should be a way:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/9121. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] - Read adobe data manually and create context element manualy too.. But I think this should be a part of webdynpro/interactive forms framework.
    Thanks for any answer!

    Hi, many thanks for your answer, so what do you think is the best solution for adding rows by user to interactive form's dynamic table?
    Manually read xml data during submit by this way: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/9121. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] ?
    Or is there better solution for this? (any link to some examples, blogs, etc...)
    Many thanks for any answer!

    Now my problem is, that I need for every ROW of my table UI Element a different cell editor. I know how to change it for the column. But is not my issue. I want to have images (traffic lights red and green) in some rows. The other rows should have numbers. The coding works, so that I have all the data at the right place in my table, only the images are shown as a string, because the cells of these rows have the cell editor Text_View. I tried something with cell variants (with cl_wd_table_standard_cell), but it was not possible for me to get a cell variant "image" in these cells/rows were I need it.
    I hope you understand my problem and now what to do here.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

I definied my table in Layout Tab of the View and create here in thos method dynamicly my columns. lv_table_column = cl_wd_table_column=>new_table_column( ). . . lv_table->add_column( lv_table_column ). In  I have my data that should be shown later in my table. So I create for each row in this fieldsymbol in a loop: lv_element = lv_node->create_element( ). lv_node->bind_element( new_item = lv_element set_initial_elements = abap_false ). Later I fill every cell in my table with a different value with this loop: LOOP AT  ASSIGNING . IF sy-tabix EQ lv_cur_row. CLEAR ls_comp_tab. Best Regards, Ingmar

  • Dynamically change the Priority Group of Logical Table Sources in OBIEE 11g

    Hi All,
    I have 2 Logical Table Sources(LTS 1 and LTS 2 for a Logical Table in BMM Layer).
    Example: Logical Table : Sample
    LTS Source 1 : Sample 1(Priority Group Set to 1)
    LTS Source 2 : Sample 2(Priority Group Set to 0)
    I have set the Priority Group of Sample 1 LTS Source to 1 and Priority Group of Sample 2 LTS Source to 0.
    I need to dynamically change the Priority Group of Sample 1 LTS Source to 0 if my role is DEVELOPER where role is a column in database.
    If my role is not equal to DEVELOPER then the Priority Group of Sample 1 LTS Source will remain same(1).
    Please suggest how can i achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Soukath Ali

    hello Soukath Ali,

    I was trying to create group UI element  dynamically in Webdynpro ABAP. I was getting Error :Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
    I have gone through the following procedure
    Create component with window and view
    In view layout Method: WDDOMODIFYVIEW and done the following code
      Source Code

    endif.
    To get Group ui element dynamically what i have to do rather than the above code
    Thanks in Advance
    Sreenivas P

    Hi Sreenivas,
    Try to debug and find what line the error occurs and return it to us.
    If the error occurs in
    CALL METHOD view->get_root_element
       receiving
         root_view_element = object.
    or in
    lr_container ?= object.
    you will need to check content of object.
    Best regards

    Whilst it's possible to execute dynamic code and therefore create tables dynamically at run time, this is considered poor design and should be avoided in 99.99% of cases... though for some reason some people still think they need to do this, and it's never really justified.
    So what issue are you facing that you need to even bother considering dynamic tables?

  • No values in added dropdownlisy dynamic table

    Hello Guru's.
    I am working with livecycler 7.1 on a NW2004S. I have the following problem,any help is appreciated. I have a dynamic table with a dropdownbox binded to an R/3 table from transaction SFP. When I start the form the first entrie with the initial created dropdown box is correct filled with all the data. But when I extend the row with the addinstancemanager, there are suddenly no values anymore.
    The extra functionality in 7.1 is that you don't have to populate the values by scripting in JAVA, but now I am lost how to deal with this problem, is this a bug?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
    I managed to solve the problem by my self.
    I code the binding in JAVA because the "extra functionality"  does not work.
    Here is my coding, I noticed that it is important to understand the Interactive Forms XFA model. You can find it at the adobe site and it is refered in a blog of Juergen Hauser.
    var oItems = xfa.resolveNode("xfa.record.TABMATNR1");
    var nItemsLength = oItems.nodes.length;
    app.alert(nItemsLength);
    for (var nItemCount = 0; nItemCount < nItemsLength; nItemCount++) {
    Vervolgkeuzelijst2.addItem(oItems.nodes.item(nItemCount).DATA.MATNR.value);
    The main piece in the coding is that you create an object reference to a node in the form via :
    xfa.resolveNode. TABMATNR1 is a table and contains several rows. The underlying structure is data and three fields matnr maktx kwmeng.
    Regards Harrie

    Dear Harrie,
    we are facing serious problems using Adobe IFS and SFP.
    We have problems when saving rows that are dynamically added to the form.
    Seems to be a problem with the xsd schema.
    Furthermore, I cannot link an internal table to a dropdownlist, not even for 1 single item on the form.
    I assume you have a lot of experience using IFS, maybe you have some information on this?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Dynamic tables collide when adding rows

    Hi,
    I created two dynamic tables with buttons to add/remove/move rows. When I add rows, the table collides with the other one and overlays it. How can I manage that the other table (or content) of the PDF is moved automatically further down to avoid a collision?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    first of all thanks for answering that quickly!
    @ Gopal
    Thank you. When I wrap the whole page with a subform and set it to flowed, all elements are in a chaos (but the table is flowed to the next page when reaching the end of it).Putting a subform between the two tables works!
    Space between two tables:
    subform (flowed)
    --> subform (flowed)
    >table
    --> subform (position) = spacer
    --> subform (flowed)
    >table
    @ amita
    unfortunately it is not possible to check that option for allowing page breaks
    Thanks to both of you!

  • What does mean You can include static and dynamic tables into a Smart Form?

    Hi guys,
    If you check the official documentation for Smart forms in the Internet you will read that the initial pharagraphs of the text tell you "Tables - You can include static and dynamic tables into a Smart Form. Dynamic tables enable you to display tables whose size is determined only at the moment of their output by the number of the table items to be displayed". The link is the following: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a5/de6838abce021ae10000009b38f842/frameset.htm
    I was wondering if this means that I can use field symbols with dynamical number of columns to print a smart form. Because it would be great since the customer wanted a dynamical report depending on the week day it was (If Monday, there was only 12 columns, but if Friday, it will be 52 columns (1 column more for every day elapsed in the current week)). I had to create 5 different forms, but I think using field symbols I had spent less effort. Do you know if it is really possible? If not, then what does mean "You can include static and dynamic tables into a Smart Form"?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi ,
    The concept of static and dynamic tables in smartforms, means you can use template- ( static table as no of rows and columns is fixed). Also you can use table- dynamic as the no of rows will depend on your line items.
    Hope this will help you to close this thread.
    Also, try to find this answer in posted forums. Creating a new forum everytime just increases the network traffic. So please try to avoid it.

  • Dynamic Group pull from static group

    We've been restructuring our distribution groups to utilize dynamic groups for some areas.  We're finding this minimizes the amount of confusion and management we have to perform on the groups.
    What I'd like to know is if it is possible to create a dynamic group that pulls from a static group.  An example, we have a static group made up of all members of a specific group.  What I'd like to accomplish, is to create a dynamic group that
    would pull from members from this group based on their Job Title.  Example: Static Group members with Title Partner

    According to this document, MemberOf is a filterable property.  You're welcome to give it a try.

  • Adding a chart for each group in ssrs not below are above the group in group footer or header. but side of the table data

    Hi
    I am currently adding a chart for each group on group footer in a table.
    but i want that charts to be on the right side of the group data.
    regards
    Pratap M:)

    Hi PratapM,
    If I understand correctly, you have already added a chart in group footer, and you want to display the chart on the right side of the cell. If I have misunderstood, please don't hesitate to let me know.
    Based on my research, if we directly add a chart into a cell, the chart will fill all of the space in the cell. So in order to achieve your requirement, we can insert this chart into a rectangle, then add the rectangle to the group footer. If we want to
    display the chart on the right side, we can directly drag the chat to the right of the rectangle.
    If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.
