Adding high importance sign to notification emails.

Hi All,
I want to add outlook red exclamation sign for high importance to the notification emails which are sent form SIM.
I am not able to find out the attribute in the email which needs to be set.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Saurabh

Saurabh,
I don't think IDM provides that level of control on the mails that it sends. The urgent (exclamantion mark) is more of an outlook thing than an IDM thing. If you find a way to do then I would be interested to know.

  • Email Alerts and High Importance

    I'm switching to a 8330 BB Curve (Sprint) and need the ability to have High Importance Emails buzz or make a noise. I am on-call overnight and would prefer not to have the phone make a noise for every email. Anyone know how to make this happen?
    I went to LEVEL 1 messages and turned of the PIN setting.
    I created an email filter with High Importance as the filter
    I then went to Porfile (sound) settings and set Level 1 messages to make Noise and vibrate
    When I have someone send me the high importance message, it doesn't even show up in my inbox, let alone make noise and vibrate.
    Any Ideas?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You can't change your Apple ID or primary email address, if it was your primary email address you messed up, you could always create an alias with the correct spelling.

  • Adding a merge field to an email hyperlink in a word 2010 email mailmerge

    I am using word 2010, excel 2010, and outlook 2010 to send out the following email with email mailmerge to 50 + people.
    The highlighted names in the greeting are two merge fields - First_Name and Last_Name.
    The hyperlink is an email hyperlink to the following email message:
    Will you attend?   ___ Yes   ___  No
    The hyperlink is as follows:
    I would like to place the merge First_Name Last_Name in the hyperlink to sign the RSVP email back to me. I have tried many modifications of the hyperlink code and nothing works consistently. It will place one name as the signer but will not pick up

    I would like the final email hyperlink to look like this:
    Will you attend?   ___ Yes   ___  No

    Hi All,
    To help other community members who may have similar problem, I quote Peter Jamieson's answer here:
    (Edited a little...)
    I can get this to work here, but there are some things you need to pay attention to when merging to HTML email (rather than to new documents etc.).
    The Hyperlink field code I start with is as follows:
    { HYPERLINK }
    Insert that using ctrl-F9 to insert the special field brace pair { }, insert the Word HYPERLINK, then select the field and update it using F9.
    View the field code results (press Alt-F9 if necessary). In the English language version of Word you should see
    Error! Hyperlink reference not valid.
    Important point number 1:
    Do not update the result of this HYPERLINK field again (i.e. don't select it and press F9). If you do, every email will always show the same link text. As
    far as I can remember, this behaviour is different when you merge to a document rather than email, or perhaps merge to attachments. This can be a problem if you need to update other fields in your email, or if the email is being used by other people who might
    (for whatever reason) update the HYPERLINK field
    Now modify the display text.
    Use the Arrow keys to move the insertion point so it is between the "E" and the "r" in the Word "Error", and type
    Click here to RSVP!
    Then you can select and delete the "E", and the "rror! Hyperlink reference not valid."
    Select the text and apply the Hyperlink style to it (Home tab of the Ribbon->Styles).
    When you toggle field code display using alt-F9, you should see the original field
    { HYPERLINK }
    Now click after the K of HYPERLINK and insert the following fields and text (or copy them from somewhere else):
     "{ SET x 1 }mailto:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***?subject=July%20Wine%20and%20Spine%20&body=%20Will%20you%20attend?%20%20%20___%20Yes%20%20%20___%20No%0A%20%0a%2{
    MERGEFIELD First_Name%20{MERGEFIELD Last_Name }"
    so that your field now looks like
    { HYPERLINK "{ SET x 1 }mailto:*** Email address is removed for privacy ***?subject=July%20Wine%20and%20Spine%20&body=%20Will%20you%20attend?%20%20%20___%20Yes%20%20%20___%20No%0A%20%0a%2{
    MERGEFIELD First_Name%20{MERGEFIELD Last_Name }" }
    As usual, all the {} need to be the special field code brace pairs that you can enter using ctrl-F9 on WIndows Word.
    At this point, experienced field users will have to resist the temptation to select the fields and update them. Dont do it!
    Save the document.
    Test the email merge. At this point, I would hope to see the results you want.
    If not, I do not know why this works OK on my system but not yours.
    Important point number 2 You may be wondering why
    there is a { SET x 1 } field inside the HYPERLINK code. It's because when you are working with a .docx, if you save, close and reopen your document, you may find that Word has resolved all the merge fields nested inside your HYPERLINK field (i.e. replaced
    the field codes by their results). This behaviour can appear arbitrary, and the reason that (for some reason), Word does not resolve the nested fields if there is a Word bookmark inside the HYPERLINK field. Now if the insertion point or selection ws inside
    the HYPERLINK field when you save/close the document, there will be a bookmark in there, because Word inserts a bookmark called _GoBack, which enables the user to go back to the previous selection. But if you click outside the HYPERLINK field before you save,
    there wil be no such bookmark and Word will resolve your field codes. So we put the { SET x 1 } in there to ensure that there is a bookmark (in this case, called X) to prevent that from happening.
    Alternatively, if you save as .doc format (not recommended these days if you can avoid it) Word does not resolve these fields and you don't need the { SET } field.
    And that's it. Whether that will be enough for your Merge to work as you hope, I cannot be sure, but all I can say is that without doing those 2 things, it almost certainly
    won't.
    [[I originally had a third thing. I actually now think it's incorrect, but I'm going to leave it here just in case.
    Important point number 3: If it does not work, there is
    at least one other thing that could be wrong, although I think it is highly unlikely. There is a Windows registry setting called FieldCalcSecurityLevel, which was introduced about 12 years ago when Microsoft made some security-related changes to the behaviour
    of certain types of field. I'm not going to step through how to look for that, but for example, in my registry, for Word 2010, it is at
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Options
    It may be elsewhere.
    If you cannot find that Option, or it is there and is set to the default value (1), then something else is wrong and I do not know what it is. However, if it is set to 0 (which
    makes Word use its original behaviour, you will have to set it to 1 to get this to work.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • OIM 11g: Adding a new tag to notification template

    Hi:
    OIM 11g comes with some pre-defined notification templates, like 'Generated Password Template', 'Reset Password Template'.
    You can see those thru the admin console, System Management, Notifications.
    I would like to add a new Tag to one of those notifications, like 'Generated Password'. It currently includes the User Login and Password. I would like to include the User Name to the notification Body.
    Can I do this?? How can I accomplish this??
    I try to edit the template, and in the documentation, they mention the Event Name and Available variables. I don't see this 'Available Variables' to select from when I edit the notification template.
    I am using OIM 11g 11.1.1.5.
    Thank you for your help..

    Modify the OOTB notification Template for including a few extra attributes
    -Identify the template and the event type which you want to modify. For example let’s assume we will modify the OOTB ‘Request Creation’, the corresponding xml for this event type is in the following MDS path:
    \metadata\iam-features-request\notification\RequestCreationEvent.xml
    Note: The path as specified in the OIM11G documentation might be incorrect
    -Modify this xml to point to a custom resolver class as follows:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <Events xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="../../../notification/metadata/NotificationEvent.xsd">
    <EventType name="RequestCreation">
    <Resolver class="com.iam.notification.CustomNotificationResolver">
    <Param Name="Request" DataType="X2-Entity" EntityName="Request"/>
    </Resolver>
    </EventType>
    </Events>-Import the xml back to the MDS database
    -Create a jar (custom resolver class) and a plugin.xml, bundle them up as a zip and register the plug-in using ‘ant/API’s’ as you want
    -Modify the OOTB notification templates as required
    -Send email to verify if your changes are being reflected
    You can create your own customized templates based on the OOTB one but the ‘Resolver Class’ would not be able to pick up this new template because the only purpose of the resolver class is to override a couple of methods (‘getAvailableData’ & ‘getReplacedData’), so that you can add some extra attributes to be read in your template, but the ‘Template Name’ remains the same as it is hard-coded.

    public class CustomNotificationResolver implements NotificationEventResolver {
         public List<NotificationAttribute> getAvailableData(String eventType, Map<String, Object> params) throws Exception {
              return null;
         public HashMap<String, Object> getReplacedData(String eventType, Map<String, Object> params) throws Exception {
              HashMap<String, Object> resolvedData = new HashMap<String, Object>();
             resolvedData.put("requestId", params.get("RequestId"));
             resolvedData.put("requestType", params.get("RequestType"));
             resolvedData.put("userId", params.get("UserId"));
             resolvedData.put("userName", params.get("Name"));
             resolvedData.put("baseUrl", params.get("BaseURL"));
             resolvedData.put("myCustomField1", "myCustomField1");
             resolvedData.put("myCustomField2", "myCustomField2");
             resolvedData.put("myCustomField3", "myCustomField3");
              return resolvedData;

  • Setting Importance Level for a email message using javax.mail.* API

    Setting Importance Level for a email message using javax.mail.* API
    From what I understand we can set Flag on Email Message. How can we set Importance Leve: High/Low for an email message?
    Thanks
    Purvi

    Most of the message Flags work only for IMAP mailboxes. POP3 supports only the DELETED flag. It must be understood that Javamail is a framework which provides all the features available in a standard mailing system. But whether or not a particular feature works is a functionality of the particular implementation being used.
    Thus for example POP3 cannot differentiate read from unread messages in a mailbox though Javamail provides that feature.

    The stack trace below the "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small" error suggests that this is being generated by the Wf_Notification.NTF_Table call. Given the way you have described the problem, I would assume that the HTML generated by that call for the data in l_cells is exceeding the length of your l_result variable (32767).
    Have you checked the length of the data generated by this call for a single record and then divided 32767 by that number to work out the maximum number of rows you can support with this call?
    If it is simply that you have too much data for WF_Notification.NTF_Table to produce the table within the 32767 limit, you try generating the HTML in smaller chunks and adding them to the CLOB bit by bit. For example, if 10 records work, then generate the HTML for 10 records, chop off the </table> from the result and add it to the clob. Then do the next 10 records (without the header this time) and chop off the <table> and </table> tags and add that to the clob. When you are done, add the closing </table> tag to the clob and return it.
    I haven't done this with returning a clob, but I have done this with shorter strings to generate a HTML table with the standard look and feel but with headers in different places than could be done by default.

  • Customize Embedded OAF region in WF notification email

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement as below:
    There is a notification email that has an embedded OAF region. All this is oracle seeded. This region has many other regions like
    MainRegion
    -- Region1
    -- Region2
    -- Region3
    Now I would like to not show Region2 in the emails. How do we do this.
    I tried to personlize the region and make the Rendered property to false for region2. This is working fine if I see the notification from the Oracle Applications Self-service login.
    But the email(which comes to say yahoo mail) which has this as embedded region still shows all the regions(including Region2 which I had set not to render through personalization).
    Is there a way to achieve this. If so, any pointers.
    Thanks,
    Anand

    Hi Anand.
    Thank you for replying. We have 2 notification changes that we would like to implement, OIE Expense Report Approval notification and Requisition Approval notification. On both notifications, we would like to display 2 segments of the GL code associated to the line - cost center and business unit. As I mentioned in my previuos email, I was able to add those columns in both notifications by extending the VO (OAF), then doing personalization. However, we can only see those columns displayed when we are viewing the notification from the worklist, that is within Oracle Applications. The notification that comes through the email does not show those columns we've added. What other area should we be changing to make those columns display on the email notification? How come the new columns show on the notifications in the worklist, but not in the email?

  • Bug Notification Emails

    Hello all,
    I was wondering if someone could explain the use case for 'Bug Notification Emails'.  I have signed up for bug notices on all the TelePresence products and I get quite a few emails.  However, pretty much every bug I click on to view more details I get the following error:
    'Bug CSCtr80189 belongs to an excluded project'
    For instance, the bug number above has to do with IE & the VCS webpage.  However, even after opening a ticket with Cisco, I still cannot get any specifics on the bug except for that it exists.  Plus, why would this be 'excluded' from the public; seems like a really basic bug to hide.
    From looking at previous discussions on this forum, it seems like bug details are on a 'need to know' basis.  Which is fine, but why offer the system in the first place then?
    I work on a TelePresence helpdesk for a distributor and being able to quickly discover a bug exists without having to call Cisco everytime would be helpful.
    I have also escalated several tickets only to find out a few days later that it is currently a known bug.  If I had access to 90% of the bugs I could save several days time for myself, Cisco and our customers.
    Is there some kind of email address or system where I can submit a bug number and get the details back within a reasonable amount of time?
    Thanks,
    Justin

    Hi
    Justin & Scott
    I would like to appologize for any inconvenience this might have caused. Some of the bug mapping information in the upstream data sources were modified recently, which has resulted into this condition.
    Currently the issue has been identified and we are working on the resolution, we are hoping that this should be resolved by Monday Feb 6th, 2012.
    Until then one work around is the view the bug details in the old Bug Toolkit system.

    LiveCycle does not handle signed or encrypted emails out of the box.
    You could develop a component to do this, or you could get someone to develop it for you.

  • Cal Notification email sent from wrong user

    Here's a weird one that was just brought to my attention this morning. Our helpdesk manager has a recurring event (weekly staff meeting for the Helpdesk) that she created in January. This morning, she went in and modified the location for this week's instance of the event.
    Here's the weird part: The notification email that the calendar server sent out about the change this morning was from our department's secretary who had nothing to do with the change this morning, and is not the organizer or an invitee of this event. Our secretary has on one occasion that we know of (11 Feb), gone in and modified this event to change the location, but has not touched the event since then.
    It sounds like for some reason, this event is hanging on to the secretary's account for sending the notification email, even though the latest notification email should have been from the helpdesk manager.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,

    If you export the calendar for the helpdesk manager (csexport) and check the event in question, do you see the secretary's email address/user details listed anywhere in the event?The occurrence of the event that the department secretary modified in February has her in the "SENT-BY=" field, but the helpdesk manager is still the organizer, which makes sense.
    The occurrence for today that was modified by the Helpdesk manager yesterday, and had the email from the department secretary also has the secretary as the "SENT-BY=", which doesn't make as much sense, since the occurrence had been modified by the organizer of the event.
    After some quick looking in the export file, it looks like most (if not all) occurrences of this meeting have the department secretary in the "SENT-BY=" field, instead of the helpdesk manager, who created the recurring event, and is the most recent person to modify it.
    Any ideas why this would've happened? I'm guessing the fix for this event would be to replace the department secretary's email address with the helpdesk manager's in the export file, and then import it, but does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent it from happening again?
    Thanks,

    I recently ordered an unlocked iphone 4s from the apple store online on Nov. 24th. However, I have yet to receive a shipment notification email. The status of my order has been on processing items for a week now. Does anyone know how long it generally takes to receive shipment notification?

    I know this email is confusing and really hard to understand...perhaps now you will know how i've been feeling--lost and confused with all the mis-information, with a hit and miss phone, and out of time with all the 1 1/2 hr to 2 hrs EACH wasted on this issue.
    On top of all this, I can't even find out how to file a complaint with anyone higher up than Customer Service.
    I hate to tell you this, but you didn't write an email. You wrote a discussion post on the Verizon Wireless Community forum which is a public peer to peer forum. Unfortunately since you didn't mark your post as a question, the VZW reps that roam this community won't ever see your post. Before you re-post it, don't. Duplicate posts get removed from the community.
    I see there were several missteps both by the reps and yourself in your post. First you should have insisted on returning the phone within the 14 day return policy period. Second which Samsung Galaxy mini model did you purchase? The S3 mini or the S4 mini? Did you do any research prior to deciding on this device. The reps at that time deflected the easiest course of action, by trying to get you to replace the phone under insurance instead of returning the phone. The Early Edge payment option requires the current phone on the line using the early Edge must be returned to Verizon Wireless. Did you once considered going to a third party site like Swappa to purchase a gently used device for your daughter?

  • Notification Email/Alert - Including Job execution details(step output)

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle 10g R2 GRID Control on Windows. I would like to add the execution details to the default notification (Long)emails. Is there any possibility without adding any code in current version or later version to include step output(failed/Passed details)?
    Thaks for your help.

    I am already getting notification email/alert with just status failed/succeded. But I want to include the step output(job execution details) to that default email given by Oracle. I could write PL/SQL block to manipulate this,but looking for default way to include these details in any version?
