Adding Inbuilt OIM fields in User View form OIM 11gR2

I am working on customizing my OIM User View form. I want to include some internal OIM dates like USER create date (USR_CREATE in USR table)
USER update date (USR_UPDATE in usr table) in my USER VIEW FORM.
Below are the steps i am performing:
1. Login into identity console
2. Activate sandbox
3. Go to users link
4. Click on search
5. Click on any user (user login)
6. In view page click on Customize button on the top right
7. click on view-->source-->click on area--> edit
But after here i do not see any option to import the inbuilt OIM dates to form.
Please provide a solution/documentation/referrence material.
This is a bit urgent so quick action will be very helpful..
thanks

If you don't able to see this in the Managed User data component then you can't include those field. As you know these attributes are for OIM internal usage.
So, you can't include these OOTB system attributes.
If realy it is required for your business need. you can try below
1. create an UDF say USR_UDF_UPDATE
2. write a trigger(insert, update) on USR table and copy USR_UPDATE value into USR_UDF_UPDATE if any insert update happen on USR table.(you can specify the trigger based on specific column as well).
3. now add this UDF to the user view page

  • Adding a populated field to an incident form

    Hi,
hopefully someone here can help me out, I'm looking to add a field to the Incidents form in SCSM 2012, specifically a 'Location' dropdown with a few of our sites already in it and a 'room number' text box.
I'm having trouble getting started with this customisation and the more I read TechNet articles and blog posts the more difficult it seems.
Does anyone have any pointers on how to achieve this?
    Thanks.

So there are two things that you need to do to do this. First: add a place to store this information. Second: add controls to the form so those places are exposed for editing.
The first part is more complicated, but not hard. Let's start with some design choices:
i'm assuming these two values are properties of the affected user, rather then the incident? the distinction here is if the location and room number are the location of the user having the issue, or a unique location for this issue. imagine a printer problem,
and bob calls this problem in. should the location field be linked to Bob's office so the analyst can find bob in the building, or should it be blank until bob specifies the room number that the printer is in?
If you want user properties, then the first step would be to
extend the user class (specifically, System.Domain.User) using
the SCSM authoring tool, by adding a ENUM or list property for the location, and a text property for the room number. you'll want to
save and seal this MP, then close the unsealed version and open the sealed version before continuing. If you want the Incident properties, you'll do the same process, only to the incident
class (System.WorkItem.Incident) instead oft he user class.
In regards to the second part, customizing the form: start by creating a second MP to store the form. you'll want to keep the class and form definitions separate, due to some property reference issues if they are in the same MPs. If the location is linked
to the user, then you'll want to follow
this example to create read only fields linked to the user in the new form. If Not, then you'll want to
    customize the incident form, and
    add a text box and
list control to link your form properties. Either way, save and seal the form MPs and import them both into Service Manager.
Open the forms and check your work. you'll note the dropdown has no entries. you'll want to create a third MP, this time inside SCSM (not the authoring tool) to store the List entries. find the list you created in the authoring tool and
    add some entries.
At this point, if you are just storing the information on the incident, then you're done. if you are storing the data on the users, then you'll want to populate this information. you can do this with some automation, like powershell or orchestrator, to get
this data populated from it's original source, say the HR system that assigns offices, or you can customize the user form to expose these properties so your analyst can start populating this data.

  • How to populate read only input field or text view form value help only

    Hi experts,
I have one requirement to populate a read-only field or text view from value help.
User cant put any value there.value comes only from the value help.
    For example,
when we read context using Code Wizard,we cant type any value there.value only comes from value help.
    How to implement that functionality?
    Please reply.
    Thanks in advance,
    Subhasis.

    Yes it is possible.
1.Create a context Attribute and then bind this attribute to the Text view UI element.
    2. read context attribute and then set value to the context attribute like this way.
    DATA:
        elem_context1                        TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
        stru_context1                        TYPE if_first=>element_context ,
        item_potxt                          LIKE stru_context-potxt.
    get element via lead selection
      elem_context1 = wd_context->get_element(  ).
    stru_context1-potxt = 'PO'.
    elem_context1->set_attribute(
        VALUE  = stru_context1
        name   = 'POTXT'

    Hi,
Not sure if this can be achieved. However, you may review the forms personalization documents and see if it helps.

  • Error while adding user after customizing form in 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
I have worked on customizing my User view form. I followed steps as:
Navigated to View user form--> clicked customize (top left) --> view --> source --> selected area --> clicked edit on popup box
I made certain changes on labels names and added certain UDF's.
Then without publishing that sandbox, i simply de-activated it and clicked on user link (identity console) to add a new user.
While clicking on submit new user i got error:

Has anybody faced this issue earlier? Please share your ideas..

When you create a custom attribute (UDF) on an application instance form, it is created only in the backend, and is not available in the page for use on which you want it to be displayed. Try to display this field that is throwing error and regenerate your View.
    You UDF using different steps:
login->identity url->users->go to create user->Include values for mandatory fields->click on customize->left(top)->View->Source->select area->edit->Click on 'Add Content' (on left top)->Data Component catalog->scroll down and select User VO->Refresh dialogue box->select the field and click 'Add'->on dropdown select 'ADF Input test w/label->close that window->Check if it added to create user form->save and close customization
    I hope this helps,

  • LDAP groups from User View

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how I can retrieve the LDAP groups from a User View? When I retrieve a user View I don't see where the LDAP groups are located on the View. Is there an attribute I'm missing or is there an alternative mechanism to retrieve the LDAP groups from a User view?

In the user view, you will have to customize the user view form per documentation. Add a multi-select field if editing, or a list/text area using the ldapGroups from the resource. You can find more on ldapGroups in the documentation for resource adapters. Sample code also helps.

  • OIM 9.1 User data set

    Hi,
In release note of 9.1 it is mentioned that :
Display of all OIM User attributes on the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page
On the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page, the OIM - User data set now shows all the OIM User attributes. In the earlier release, the display of fields was restricted to the ones that were most commonly used.
    and
Attributes of the ID field are editable
On the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page, you can modify some of the attributes of the ID field. The ID field stores the value that uniquely identifies a user in Oracle Identity Manager and in the target system.
Can anyone please guide me how to get both things as I am getting only few fields of user profile in OIM-USer data set and also not able to modify ID field.
I am using OIM 9.1 on Websphere application server 6.1
    Thanks

Unfortunately i do not have experience using the SPML generic connector. Have you read through all the documentation pertaining to the GTC?

  • Extension fields in Advanced Find Form

    Hi, experts,
I have four solutions in which I added one extension field to a standard BO.
Let's say they are S1,S2,S3 and S4 respectively and all are of the same data type.
I added each of them to the Advanced Find Form of the standard BO's OWL.(From Extensibility Explorer)
The strange thing is when I enter some data in one extension field (just say S1), other extension fields (S2,S3,S4) are also filled with the   same data from S1.The deleting also have the same behavior. And when I delete one extension field(just say S2), the data in other extension fields (S1,S3,S4) are deleted too.
    Why is this happening?
    How can I control that?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Fred.

    Hi, Fernando.
        Thanks.
I am sorry I was not quite clear on my question.
         Here is my Use Case.
         Let's say I have 4 solution, sol1, sol2, sol3, sol4.
I have created an xbo of the same standard BO in each solution.
My plan is to add one extension field namely ext1 (same name, same data type but different labels though)  to that standard XBO all in sol1,sol2,sol3 and sol4.
And I have added each extension field to Advanced Find Form of the standard xbo's OWL in all of the four solutions.
Each extension field is bound to a respective element.  (checked)
I think my problem is I have unfortunately  given the same name to all the extension fields.
        Please confirm.
    Regards,
    Fred.

  • User Tables form

    Hi,
Is it possible to Add combo box in the existing field on User table form through UI API? I want to add combo box in UDT for selecting Item code.
    thanks in advance
    Denis

    Hi Denis,
The first approach I would try is a formatted search fired when Shift+F2 is clicked. Cheap and easy.
In a user defined form, you could use datasources to get this. But in the default form I don´t think you could do it using datasources. Perhaps I´m wrong.
If you are in 2005, you could try the ChooseFromList object to get what you need. More elegant, but more work.
    Hope helps,
    Ibai Peñ

  • Adding field to user form

    Hi All,
I am little confused here. I am adding field which is not in User Object. I extended user object with my new field xxxxx. Where Can I find this field when I will create view.
    Thx

If you have properly set up a User Extended Attribute, the view variable will be accounts[Lighthouse].attributeName.
    Check the docs: http://docs.sun.com/source/819-6126/attribute_intro.html
    User Extended Attributes
You can add attributes to the default list of extended attributes for a user object. These attributes, called user extended attributes, are stored on the User Extended Attributes Configuration object in the repository.
This Configuration object defines additional attributes that are stored in the user objects in the repository. The system ignores any attribute value in the accounts[lighthouse] namespace of the User view that is not registered in the configuration object.
See the discussion of the accounts[lighthouse] attribute of the User view in the Views chapter of Identity Manager Workflows, Forms, and Views for more information on user extended attributes.

  • How to create Lookup field in user form in OIM 11g - Urgent

    Hi Experts,
How to create Lookup field in User Form - OIM 11g.
Pls. provide your support on priority.
    Regards
    Karan

    Thanks all for your suggestion.
Our requirement, is we need to have a user defined field similar to how its there in "Organisation".
For example we need to create an user defined field like "Service Holding" which holds different services say like Service 1, Service 2, Service 3 etc.
Under each service there are multiple roles....
    Eg:
    Service 1 - Role 1, Role 2, Role 3
    Service 2 - Role 4, Role 5
    Service 3 - Role 6, Role 7, Role 8
Is there a way to store multi-valued attribute in OIM UDF? If so, pls. guide us
If its not possible we would need to create a Lookup field (something similar to Organization or Manager). User clicks on the button (lens button), which should invoke an API wherein he can select specific Roles and save in User. Eg. like Service 1 - Role 1#Service 2 # Role 5 and store in the backend database.
    Is this possible. Pls. guide.
    Regards,
    Karan

Help- I have added a field in my tabular form and now i get an error in muli update form; Here is the error, how do I go in to change the process, adding the extra field??

    Hi,
I believe the error is due to the checksum process which doesn't have that additinoal field's information. You can try creating the form again with the additional field, or if needed you can go with the Manual tabular form.
    Thanks,

  • Adding custom action to Tabbed User Form

I am trying to view and delete user tasks (such as deferred task) from a user view (tabbed user form). I am able to list the tasks in a separate tab, however, I would like to be able to delete the task using a manual action. I added a button, however, the clicking on the button refreshes the page, and does not get into the Update User workflow.
Wanted to check with the forum members if anyone has added any custom action via the TabbedUserForm where the button (or something) will submit the form for change of user view to the Update User workflow.
Or, if someone has a simpler way - manual action to cancel/delete a deferred task for a user.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

It seems I was initially too focused on the VCS API itself, as I was under the impression that the context menu would be exposed through a manager (similar to the Editor API). But it turns out that the view API provides very nice access to the relevant bits and I was able to achieve the desired result by simple listening to view activation and access the context menu from there. It's not ideal as I have to deal with view ids directly, but it works - good enough.

  • Adding fields in costing view of material master

    Hi gurus,
I need to add 4 fields in costing view of material master. I have followed the steps in SPRO, for configuring customized screen in material master.
    1) Created a function group YMMCO and copied the screen 2904 from program SAPLMGD1.
    2) Added 4 fields in my customized screen.
    3) Created copy of 01 ( Screen reference ) to z1 in OMT3B.
Since 2904 is not there in the sequence . I changed one 0001 sequence at the end to 2904 . I also assigned my program
SAPLYMMCO to it. I can see the changed fields in data screen and subscreen.
    4) Then I assigned the SSq to z1 in transaction OMT3E.
But unfortunately, when I go to MM01 to create a material , I am not able to view the fields I added in costing view.
I have checked the screen for the previous field, it shows 2904 only.
Two days back, I did the same thing in basic data view 1 , it was working properly. As per client's suggestion I put it in
costing view, it is not working . Please give me suitable suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.
