Adding new content pane on another

Hi,
I am trying to add a new contnet pane JPanel on the existing one and it shows the new one with some buttons but the previous JPanel dissappears.
frame.setContentPane(checkBox1);
frame.setContentPane(buttons2);
So it shows the buttons2 pane but not the checkBox1.
Any idea what am i missing?

The setContentPane just replaces the pane, not add them.
Add the two panes you want to see to a third pane and make the new pane the content pane
JPanel contentPanel = new JPanel();
contentPanel.add(checkBox1);
contentPanel.add(buttons2);
frame.setContentPane(contentPanel);

Sensitive Data Breach; FF displays content from a previously loaded plugin when displaying new content from within another pugin

Sensitive Data Breach.
When loading content from a plugin, such a pdf or flash, any content from previously viewed content from a plugin is flash before the new content is displayed.
In our app we show sensitive information and this represents a data breach.
This issue present across or between the same or different plugins. Silverlight - > PDF, PDF -> PDF, etc.

In reviewing the steps to re-create the problem, I'm not sure I understand what's happening.
<br>1. Load some flash content
2. Leave the Tab open or Close the tab
3. Load a pdf within the browser in another tab.
<br>Note: Ensure Options -> Tabs -> "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is selected.
<br>Note: Ensure you clear your cache so plugin content is downloaded.
<br>The longer it takes to download the pdf the longer the sensitive data will be displayed. When the plugin fails content may be displayed indefinitely.
(I view PDFs outside the browser, so I haven't attempted to re-create the above scenario.)
Are you saying that Flash content appears where the PDF is supposed to load, or a previous PDF appears?
I assume this previously viewed data doesn't survive a shut-down and restart of Firefox. Is that correct?

Itunes Sync deletes music on my iphone instead of just adding new content.

Whenever I sync my iphone with itunes it starts to delete the music I have on it already and then start to put it all back on including the new content I wanted on my phone. I just want it to sync new content on my iphone when i plug it in. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks.

See if it shows up in > Settings > Sounds > Ringtone
Ringtones are only available from the iTunes Store not the App Store.

ITunes U Public Site Manager and adding new content

Probably just me missing something, but I am in the iTunes U Public Site Manager looking to add content to an existing collection. Since the update, I can't seem to find the "add to collection" button that used to exist. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I am the site administrator, and I want to add content to an existing collection. I have been adding content to existing collections since the site was created several years ago, but since the recent June 1 update to the Public Site Manager things have obviously changed and I cannot seem to find a way to add content. Maybe I am missing something obvious, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this.
As a work around, I created a new apple ID and added it as a "user" and then as a "contributor" to the collection I want to add content to. I then logged out and then in again as this new contributor, and I was able to add the content as before (the update). I was hoping that I would be able to log in as the administrator and upload content without having to use another login.

Resetting JApplet Content Pane

I have an applet which needs to wait on another applet in the page being loaded before the GUI components can be rendered on the screen. My plugin appears to load the applets in the order that the HTML tags appear on the page, which is exactly the wrong order. Therefore, I spawned off a task to check for the other applet and load the component when it is present. According to debug output, all goes well. No exceptions are thrown and no debug output indicates any exceptions or error conditions being triggered. Instead, output indicates the GUI getting built and the content pane getting set to the new Container. Unfortunately, this new content pane never displays. Instead, the applet becomes a never-repainted box. What about JApplet and painting am I missing?

You need to do your modifications to Swing components on the AWT thread after the components have be realized, i.e.

If you've just added an address to your account then it will be an alternate/secondary email address, a rescue email address can only be added by answering 2 of your security questions. If you already had one on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email addressthen you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

What new content has been added this week? I have looked and cannot see any new content.

Content is added on a friday, but we currently have titles missing on the classic platform (old software) which haven't been added yet and I hope they don't try adding these tomorrow as the new content
response from the vision guys and they’ve confirmed that there 10 more assets (movies) which were not listed in the HD Category on Classic, but it does appear as if there are 20 odd titles missing from the Classic platform. Libraries dont update when new content added

I have transferred my media files to the shared user folder so that multiple accounts on my imac can have access to them. When I did this the original connected library was fine but the other users libraries showed none of the content. So I proceeded to "add to library" in the other account and it added the whole content as expected. The problem is now if I add additional content to the files then I seem to need to go into each other accounts library and add to library. The original library is automatic but the other libraries don't update automatically. How do I get the other libraries on the other accounts to also update automatically when new content is added?

You have posted on the iTunes for Windows forum, you might do better on the mac forum.
iTunes does not do folder watching, so only the library you used to add the content will be updated.
There are 3rd party utilities that an deal with this, but I don't have a list for Macs. For Windows there is iTunes Library updater and iTunes folder watch.
TuneRanger would probably do it, but it is not free and may be a bit more than you need.

Problem with content pane

hi,
if I have to add three different toolbars in same content pane.
If I add these, each one of them gets overwrite over another. and only last one toolbar gets visible. please help. Also, I need the toolbar to keep top most when i dock them.

Did either of you bother to take the time to read the tutorial on "Using Layout Managers". A JToolBar is simply a component. Multiple components can be added to a container. By default the content pane uses a BorderLayout which only accepts 5 components (Center, North, South, East, West) which is why when you keep adding components to the same area you can only see the last one.
When you create a JPanel, by default it uses a FlowLayout. When you add components they get added to the right of the previous component, which was why I gave you the sample code.
I thought my previous answer was straight forward so I only included a piece of code. Here is a complete program you can run:

Content Pane: Help getting rid of "Click to activate this control"

I know this came up a long time ago when IE
changed--Flash/swf content needs to be clicked to be activated
first. I thought Robohelp 6 would address it, but not.
The challenge: Cannot use the fixes publised because the html
pages created by Robohelp, like the Content pane, are generated
with Javascript. Ironically posted solutions use Javascript to
change the Embed, object, etc. tags! And I don't know Javascript!
The entire Content pane needs to be clicked first so you can
click an item in the contents. Its html file seems to be
wf_master.htm and when you look at the code, the tags are fed in
like this:

Robohelp seems to ride on Javascript and the 'solutions' are
in Javascript. I can't believe RObohelp developers have not

I have a Ipod touch and recently added new music to my itunes library on my laptop. When I sync with my ipod, the new music does not show up on my ipod even though the sync process seems to be working.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?

Fitting JPanel perfectly inside content pane of JFrame

Say I have a JPanel with size W x H that I want to add to a JFrame such that the JFrame will be sized as small as possible while still fitting the panel inside its content pane. Is there a method in JPanel that I can overwrite or a specific method of adding to a JFrame that I can use to accomplish this, or do I need to calculate the JFrame's size with getInsets()?

frame.setVisible(true);...the resulting content pane is most definitely not 300x300 pixels. What am I doing wrong?

Content Pane

I do not think that a window could have more than one content pane, so how could I use borderlayout for a toolbar and have a button use a different layout. In other words I do no want my button to have to be either south, west, or east because my toolbar uses borderlayout. I want to place the button anywhere I want.

It does not look like the bar or the button is being added to the JPanel or the Content Pane.
Don't you have to call getContentPane() to add JPanel p? And once that has been done, since
seLayout() is set to null, how can NORTH and SOUTH work?

Ggoogle search pages and Blogger's "create new post" pane have teeny tiny font sizes. How do I normalize them?

Google's search results page has a font that is miniscule compared to other pages.
I have tried adjusting the font in the tools>options>content>advanced with no change.
I've also tried resetting the view>zoom feature to no avail.
Blogger's "create new post" pane had an even smaller font, if that's possible.
So far the tiny font phenomenon seems to only affect Google pages, though *'''''not'''''* my iGoogle page.
Any help would appreciated :)
