  • Changing password after adding new employee

    Setup: DB2 z/os database authentication, Propagate Change parameter set to TRUE.
    Created a new employee using sadmin account with the fellowing detail:
    Last Name: empl, First Name: emp1002, User ID: emp1002, Responsibility: CG Retail Sales Representative, Position: Proxy Employee, New Responsibility: CG Retail Sales REpresentative
    Created cooresponding DB user account on DB2 z and password: EMPL.
    Then login to emp1002 using IE.
    The signon screen is Password, and has three fields: Current Password, New Password, Verify New Password. However, when I enter new password and press Save, the new password will not be saved.
    Also, try to change password following Tools -> User Preferences -> User Profile.
    However, the password field is gray out and the Contact information still show as Sadmin.
    Please help.
    Joey

    Hi Joey,
    By default the new password field under user preferences screen remains read only.You can make it editable by following below steps :-
    1) Go to Admin->Server Configuration->Enterprises->Profile Configuration view.
    2) If you are not using any 3rd party security adapter like LDAP or ADSI then query in field "Alias" by "DBSecAdpt",if yes then search for corresponding adapters.
    3) In the 3rd applet "Profile Parameters" under field "Name" search for "Propagate Change".For this particular record change the value under field "Value" to "True".
    4) Bounce siebel server.
    5) Now check under user preferences->profile.

  • Adding new Customer data KNA1

    Hi,
    I'm looking for a function or a Bapi that let you add new Customer data. And I have to specify the new customer number being used ( comes from an import file )
    The tables that seem to be getting populated are
    TABLES: KNA1,
            *KNA1,
            KNVP,
            KNVV,
            KNVK,
            T151T,
            T077X,
            ZPAFDFLT.
    TABLES  KNB1.
    The important bit is also specifying the customer number I want to use and not having SAP give me the number.
    Thanks

    Hi Sims,
    I see that you marked the post as answered, but there was an open ended question in your latest post. Did you find an answer or you still need help?
    Standard SAP's account group for prospect customer is 0005. This is what you should see in your KNA1 record for all the prospective customers. If not, then you must be a using a custom account group. In config, this account group must have been configured to allow external numbering. Here is the path in config for verifying that(tcode SPRO).
    Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
    -->Financial Accounting
       -->Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
          -->Customer Accounts
             -->Master Records
                -->Preparations for Creating Customer Master Records
                   -->Create Number Ranges for Customer Accounts
                   -->Assign Number Ranges to Customer Account Groups
    Next thing is to load them into your system automatically. How are prospective customers registered? Do you get a file or do prospective customers register online? If they are registered online, then you need some kind of connectivity with SAP(so what is it) and a suitable RFC or BAPI. Right now, I don't see any standard BAPI or RFC that will enable you to create customers with external numbering. So you may have to use IDOC functions or a custom RFC function for the purpose.
    If you are getting this information on a file, then you can use LSMW to load the customers. Please let me know your scenario so that we can come up with a solution.

  • Added new field to cube but data not passed from DSO

    Hope someone can help.
    (BI 7.0) We added new fields into a cube. The fields already existed in the DSO. When we ran the process chain in development for the first time after making this change, we notice that the 'historical' data for these fields is populated in the cube. When we do this in our quality system only new data passed to the cube is updated. In development in the sub-chain DTP request we see all previous requests listed under selections. In quality it is only the latest request. The only difference is that the DeltaInit flag in the DTP request in development is ticked (extraction mode) - but not in quality. Does anyone know whyb this is?

    hi peter,
    Adding fields to cube doesn't affect delta status...The delta DTP should be able to handle delta requests automatically.
    I guess in you quality system, the cube already got all requests updated from ODS before you importing the change request. And in develop system none of the requests in ODS were updated before the change.

  • Added new fields in vendor master in xk01 but data is not getting saved

    Hi experts,
    To add new fields in vendor master i have followed the following steps :
    1.) Appended a structure ZRTGS in LFA1 table with required fields and activated
    2.) Added new button in xk01( vendor master ) using spro -> logistics-general -> business partner -> vendors ->
    control ->adoption of customer's owaster data fields -> prepare modification free-enhancement of vendor master record
    Created a screen group ZR and defined label tab pages with function code ZRTGS and saved entries
    3.) Created a implementation for BADIs VENDOR_ADD_DATA and VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS.
    4.) Created a program with my own subscreen for the required fields
    The button is getting displayed in XK01, XK02 and XK03 respectively. Whenever the button is clicked the subscreen with
    the fields is also displayed. But whenever i try to save the data in either XK01 or XK02 it is not getting saved in to the
    database table LFA1.
    Request your help in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
    You may need to check this include .

  • Adding new date field to already loaded data target.

    Hi,
        we have a cube containing date feild such as 0CALMONTH. the data is being loaded to the cube. now they have added new date feild (0FISCYEAR). how to get data to this feild. there is no data coming from source system for this feild. please can any one tell me how to include this feild and load data into it.
    with regards,
    sreekanth.

    Sreekanth,
       If Record creation date is the right field for deriving fiscal year, Why cant you derive the year from the date...by using automatioc time conversion...?? In update rules...??
      For exising data, you can do loop back to populate the data. see the below doc, for more info:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f421c86c-0801-0010-e88c-a07ccdc69601

  • Adding new characteristics to cube with data

    Hi Gurus,
    i need to add some characteristics to a cube already in production, this cube is customized version of material stocks/movements cube (0ic_c03).
    i am looking for a way to add the new characteristics without having to do reinitialisation (opening stock,...), i am thinking about a loopback process but how do i manage to get the new characteristics populated for the historical data?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    If you want to load historial data, you must take ECC down time and re-intialization is required.Becasue you are adding new object in Cube and for that you need to change the Update rules, then need to load historical data, so without down time and reinitialization it is not possible.
    Check like below.
    You have data in PSA, so try to delete data from Cube and then load from PSA. Because you may write code in Update rules on;y I think. So in that case, it may work.
    Thanks

  • Adding new fields to Item Data - PO (ME

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to add new custom fields to PO Item Data in Confirmations tab and these new fields are required only in PO Change (ME22N).
    How can we achieve this!
    Can anybody provide feasible solution for the same!
    can anybody tell me if this is possible!
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Deep.

    Hi All,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Can anybody confirm BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST will acheive desired functionality for above posted issue!
    Functionality: Adding new custom fields to confirmation tab. During Inbound delivery in confirmation tab (Item data) if 'Confirmation category' is selected then the new custom fields should show up below for input & they can be saved.
    if 'Confirmation category' is not selected then new custom fields should be invisible.
    Thanks,

  • Adding new fields to the data flow

    Hi,
    I am currently planning to add some new fields in one DSO and map it (with info source) in the update rules.
    Will adding new fields to Info source - Comm. structure affect all the update rules connected to it?
    The info source is connected to multiple DSO.
    (The data source is currently under enhancement for these fields). Once this is done, we have to replicate it to BW.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

    yes.
    Once the enhancement is done for data source in r/3 side, you will have to replicate the datasource in BW.
    Adding new fields will deactivate the update rules. You have to map the same in update rule and activate the same.
    This will require activation of  transformations, update rules, etc for related DSOs. Try to find out the where used list for the DSO where you want to add the new objects. Then check each objects whether these are activate after the changes. If these are inactive, you will have to activate all the objects.
    Cheers

  • Adding new data to update multiple series in charts - in one action

    I would like to know how to update a data series range in a chart all at once as can be achieved with Excel by
    manually entering row numbers to expand the data series range or
    by dragging a reference frame in a table to include additional data in the range.
    At present, the only way that I have discovered I can update a series is to manually change the cell reference detail for each series individually. This is achieved by selecting a single line and clicking several times on the Data reference cell in the Inspector Chart option by highlighting the cell reference details and then manually changing the cell reference for each series separately. This is tedious, time consuming and more than a little clumsy! What used to take me a few minutes to update my charts in Excel is taking me tens of minutes in Numbers.

    Unless I'm misreading this, similar techniques work in Numbers.
    The original table contained only the sequential labels in column A and the data shown on the upper chart.
    I made two changes, similar to those in your list (but in the opposite order, hence the reversal in my numbering):
    2. Added data to cells B11:B15 (labeled J-N). (The data added is a copy of the first five data from the original series.) Selected the chart, then expanded the data series by dragging the control (small circle) down to include these cell (plus B16) in the charted range. The chart updated to include this data.
    1. Selected B11:B15, then went Table > Add Rows Below (keyboard shortcut: option-down arrow). Numbers added five rows to the table, and updated the chart to include those rows, as shown in the lower version of the chart. Paste the data into these new rows to add it to the chart.
    Although I had selected rows inside the charted range when adding new rows (to keep that "O" label on the x axis and show the 'space' before it), the five rows could as easily have been added to the end of the chart. Select B12:B16, press option-down arrow.

    * TableSorter is a decorator for TableModels; adding sorting
    * functionality to a supplied TableModel. TableSorter does
    * not store or copy the data in its TableModel; instead it maintains
    * a map from the row indexes of the view to the row indexes of the
    * model. As requests are made of the sorter (like getValueAt(row, col))
    * they are passed to the underlying model after the row numbers
    * have been translated via the internal mapping array. This way,
    * the TableSorter appears to hold another copy of the table
    * with the rows in a different order.
    * <p/>
    * TableSorter registers itself as a listener to the underlying model,
    * just as the JTable itself would. Events recieved from the model
    * are examined, sometimes manipulated (typically widened), and then
    * passed on to the TableSorter's listeners (typically the JTable).
    * If a change to the model has invalidated the order of TableSorter's
    * rows, a note of this is made and the sorter will resort the
    * rows the next time a value is requested.
    * <p/>
    * When the tableHeader property is set, either by using the
    * setTableHeader() method or the two argument constructor, the
    * table header may be used as a complete UI for TableSorter.
    * The default renderer of the tableHeader is decorated with a renderer
    * that indicates the sorting status of each column. In addition,
    * a mouse listener is installed with the following behavior:
    * <ul>
    * <li>
    * Mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and advances the sorting status of that column through three
    * values: {NOT_SORTED, ASCENDING, DESCENDING} (then back to
    * NOT_SORTED again).
    * <li>
    * SHIFT-mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and cycles the sorting status of the column through the same
    * three values, in the opposite order: {NOT_SORTED, DESCENDING, ASCENDING}.
    * <li>
    * CONTROL-mouse-click and CONTROL-SHIFT-mouse-click: as above except
    * that the changes to the column do not cancel the statuses of columns
    * that are already sorting - giving a way to initiate a compound
    * sort.
    * </ul>
    * <p/>

    * first appeared in the swing table demos in 1997.

    The code you posted doesn't help us at all. Its just a duplicate of the code from the tutorial. The custom code is what you have written. For example do you update the TableModel from the Event Thread? Do you update the SortModel or the DefaultTableModel? If you actually provide your test code and somebody has already downloaded the sort classes, then maybe they will test your code against the classes. But I doubt if people will download the sort classes and create a test program just to see if they can duplicate your results (at least I know I'm not about to).

  • New employee with wrong hiring date - how to change?

    Hi,
    I've entered a new employee with a wrong hiring date and I don't know how to change it. Some employee date are easily changeable not the hiring date!?

    Hi Marko.
    Go to t-code PA30, enter the personnel number of the employee whom you have hired.
    At the top in the menu bar, select "UTILITIES" - "Change entry/leaving date".
    It will take you to the screen - "Change Actions" - Change " Start date".
    This will correct the hiring date of the employee.
    Reward points, if helpful.

  • New fields added on Bidder data does not appear in Business Partner

    Hi,
    I have added two new fields in Bidder data tab of Maintain Business Partner screen.
    When there are only three tabs viewable i.e Company data , Bidder data , Registration data tabs, the added new fields  does not appear.On approved suppliers (vendors) there will be a also tabs for vendor and supplier classification(customised).   But for companies that are only approved as bidders, there may be only the 3 tabs showing.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    S. K.

    Hi Jay,
    Yes i have used EEWB to add new fields. But i have used badi's  BBP_BUPA_GET_CUF and BBP_CUF_BADI_2 to display those fields on Bidder data tab.
    When business partner is approved bidder that time i am not able to view these new fields, but when business partner is approved vendor that i can view those fields.
    We are using SRM 5.5.

  • E recruiting Data Transfer for New Employee

    Hi all,
              We are implementing E-recruitment 3.0, Ecc 6.0 and E recruitment system are in the same system, we processing internal recruitment currently, here i can receive the internal applications, we can able to view and process the applications in recruiter role. Here i can execute the sequence of activities for application process group for received applications, we not integrated any XI systems for e recruitment process.
             After processing the activity to be hired, the next activity is Data transfer for new employee, this is also executed successfully for data transfer of employee positions, job, org unit details etc.
           1.  whether transferred data of applicant is processed via transaction PA48(Hiring of transferred employees)for internal recruitment in R/3 HR system, after the data transfer activity in E recruitment portal screen ?
           2. is any other roles and application url available for Hiring internal candidate which could be done in portal E recruitment screen itself with out coming to R/3 HR transactions side ? with out going into PA48 for hiring.
          3. any specific roles we have assign for recruiter ?
          4. any process carried out in Managerial self service?(according to me MSS is different instance to process recruitment process for internal and external recruitment for Vacancy filling) please correct me my vision on MSS.
            your answers and suggestions will be highly appreciated!
    Thanks from,
    Venkatesh Mani.

    1. whether transferred data of applicant is processed via transaction PA48(Hiring of transferred employees)for internal recruitment in R/3 HR system, after the data transfer activity in E recruitment portal screen ?
    If you are selecting the internal candidate , you need not hire the employee again using PA48. You can trigger transfer / change in position workflow using PCR form.
    2. is any other roles and application url available for Hiring internal candidate which could be done in portal E recruitment screen itself with out coming to R/3 HR transactions side ? with out going into PA48 for hiring.
    I dont think we have any specific action from eRecruitment side to run the hiring action.This needs to be done from R/3 only.
    3. any specific roles we have assign for recruiter ? Not sure about this.
    4. any process carried out in Managerial self service?(according to me MSS is different instance to process recruitment process for internal and external recruitment for Vacancy filling) please correct me my vision on MSS.
    If its intergrated portal with the Requestor role attached in the manager profile , they will be able to carry out both internal and external candidates selection. I dont think you would require different instance.
    We can also wait for someother inputs from forum gurus.
    Thanks.
    Gautham.

  • Adding new Data Object while migrating from MI 2.5 to NM7.1

    Dear All,
          We have a custom MI 2.5 application which we need to migrate to 7.1. While migration, we want to add a newly created data object also in migrated application. But when I try to import MBO model, it is not letting me import new data object. The import finishes successfully. But changes in merepmeta.xml are not done. It creates a file with back up of existing merepmeta.xml i.e. merepmeta.xml.bak and create new merepmeta.xml but it is blank. Am I missing something???
           When I import MBO only with existing data objects (syncbos), it is allowing me perfectly. It is changing the merepmeta.xml accordingly as well without creating backup.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saptak Kulkarni.

    Dear Arjun,
         To answer your questions, previously all the SyncBOs were downloaded independently taking username as the import parameter in getList. (Default values). Yes we can provide the same with 7.1 but we wanted to have some sorts of associations between all SyncBOs.
         So first of all, we changed all the BAPI wrappers of old SyncBOs to download all the data independent of user. Now we created new Data Object to only download user specific data. We associated all other Data Objects on this DO. Created a rule for this data object to only download the sync user instance. We were expecting that whenever a user syncs, a single instance of new user data object will get downloaded and subsequently all other data objects having relationship on user will get downloaded. I hope this is not much confusing.
          Now while we import the MBO model, if we don't import new user data object, then also other data object instance get downloaded and fortunately properly filtered. We don't receive any kind of error over here.
          The new data object is not used anywhere in the application. The associations are in new data object and not in the older one. New data object is the leading one wherein others follow.
          Not a single instance is getting dropped for other Data Objects.
          The xml is blank only when we try to import the new Data Object and correctly it gives an error as expected when I try to deploy the application.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saptak.
