Adding new field in the table for Output

Hi ,
I need to add a field catalogue as Payment method in the condition table for Output, but the payment method field does not exist in the table. Can this be done?

    Hi ABAPers,
    I added a new field & marked another field as primary key in the table. Then I generated the table maintenance view for the table in SE55 and adjusted Database utility SE14.
    When i saw the table in SM30. The number of fields in the overview screen of SM30 shows less field then existing in table. i.e in my table i have 10 fields(3 primary). in SM30 it shows only 5 fields(3 primary + 2 normal fields)
    In SE51, the overview screen of the table show less fields in the field list..
    I want all the fields in the Table maintenance overview screen. Please suggest me a way forward friends..
    Note: the system is 4.0B.

    You have to re-generate your dialog for SM30 by table maitenance generator.
    - From Se11 go to table maitenance generator
    - Choose update icon
    - Set flags for NEW FIELD
    - Go to expert
    - Set flag to re-generate dynpro

    Cause and prerequisites
    The fields must be located in table GLPCA (for actual) or GLPCP (for plan).
    For Release 3.0F, you should ensure you have applied Note 62511 first.
    Solution
    To include a field in the actual line item report, proceed as follows:
    Call the ABAP/4 Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and display table GLPCA. You can then find in a line the field name and data element for the field you want to include.
    Return to the initial screen of the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Now change the structure RPCA2. If the structure does not yet contain the field, you select Edit -> Insert field; enter the field name and data element. Do not insert the new field at the beginning of the structure but in the rear half of the structure.
    Then save and activate the structure.
    Now call the ABAP Editor (Transaction SE38). Change the source code of program RCOPCA02. Insert the lines set out in the attachment in FORM routine FIELDCAT_FILL. When you do this, replace SGTXT by the field name of the field. If you normally want the field to be displayed when you the access the report, delete the line   afield-no_out      = 'X'.                "<<<< insert Note 92864 .
    You should note that the place where you insert the lines influences the position of the column in the report list.
    To include a field in the Plan-line-item report, carry out the same procedure except with table GLPCP, structure RPCA8 and program RCOPCA08.
    Note: Pls check if these 2 fields are available in any of the layout versions you have available with the transaction.

  • Adding a new field to the table

    Hello friends,
    I have a custom table and is in  use from a long time now.
    Now i need to add a new field to that table.
    1 - can i go directly to the change mode and then add it or is their any other way that needs to be followed.
    2 - once added do i need to go to SE14 and do something thr for the changes done to the table.
    This table also has a table Maintenence generator. Do I need to do something thr.

    Hi,
    Check whether the change in ur custom table is going to impact any Custom program or not.
    If its so then adjust ur ABAP code so as to fit with the new table.
    Decide whether this field is going to be aprt of primary key or simple field.
    Is there any data present in ur custom table already?

  • Need to add a new field to the Schema for MDM Syndicator

    We are running MDM 5.5 SP6.
    We have a requirement to add a new field and syndicate the new field to the our Procurement System.
    I was able to add the new field to the repository and schema in SAP MDM Console.  However, when I went into the Syndicator to map the new field (which I do see) to the new Schema field, I don't see the new field to map in the Schema.
    How can I change the existing syndication jobs (11 of them) to use the new Schema?  Or do I have to recreate all of them?

    I hope you have modify the Syndication XSD(add new field) and then load it in XML Schema table of MDM Console, right ?
    If you have done it, now open MDM Syndicator>Go to File>Open, select the required Remote system and Available map.
    Now your existing map will be loaded which has not the required added field, Now again, go to file-->Export.
    Give file name and save this syndication map on your Desktop. Once you have done this.
    Go to File>New>Select respective remote system and Type as XML Schema if you have loaded this XSD in Console else select Type as XML Schema file and select the modified XSD (added new field XSD) from Desktop. Once it is loaded, import the existing syndication map(which you have exported as said above) which should have all the fields mapped, now in target side you will have here new added field too, map it with required source field in Item Mapping and then go to file>Save as>select the required Remote system and give new map name. Use this map for exporting files for future reference.
    Also, if your are using Port Concept, you need to change the Properties Map and XML Schema in Port of MDM Console.

    Will adding new fields to Info source - Comm. structure affect all the update rules connected to it?
    The info source is connected to multiple DSO.
    (The data source is currently under enhancement for these fields). Once this is done, we have to replicate it to BW.

    yes.
    Once the enhancement is done for data source in r/3 side, you will have to replicate the datasource in BW.
    Adding new fields will deactivate the update rules. You have to map the same in update rule and activate the same.
    This will require activation of  transformations, update rules, etc for related DSOs. Try to find out the where used list for the DSO where you want to add the new objects. Then check each objects whether these are activate after the changes. If these are inactive, you will have to activate all the objects.

    My requirement is  to add a new field in ZPM_QMEL_EXT table numeric field no of  months due (ZZ_CO_MON_DUE) .
    Its value will be calculated as the # of invoices that were paid vs. what has not been paid and then from there, value of this field will be fetched.It has to be populated during the time of notifcation screen entry (iw51). The logic will be similar to this

    For Customizing tables we can use Append structure as well as Include Structure.
    Rules: Append Structure should be in last in Field column but include structure you can insert in any where it means between the fields.
    Delivery class option  and data class will take care automatically while upgrading the sap system one version to Another version.(upgrading).
    For that you should maintain the those properties when data base table creation.

  • Adding new field with constant value for pre-existing records

    I have to introduce in different tables (ztable and standard one) a new field, containing the company code. The problem is that all the records already inserted in these tables should be filled with a particular company code ('DD01').
    I'd like to have this field automatically filled with a constant value without having to develop a program in order to update all the preexisting data. The reason is that cardinality of these tables is aroud 100 Millions of rec....
    Ideal solution should be to have some rule/routine defined in the data dictionary CR, so to get the field value during the import of the related CR.
    I've seen that is possible to define routine, but only for maintainance view (so new records..). If I open the db view, the situation is the following (example):

    If I were you, I will not look for another solution, because it's pretty easy task for ABAP.
    It can be solved within 1 line:
    UPDATE ztable SET zzcompany = 'DD01' WHERE zzcompany = ''.

    Yeah, I know it's a basic question. I'm fairly familiar with CRM 5.0 but 2007 is new to me and there a good few changes.
    If I need to add a new field (probably with some processing to set its value) to the Service ticket what would be the steps I need to take to achieve this in CRM  2007?.

    Are we talking about the EEW Business objects displayed in the EEWB as there is no business object called 'CRM OPPORTUNITY', but there is one called 'OPPORTUNITY'. Just wanted to make sure I was on the right track.
    So, as I need to change the service ticket it would mean that my transaction type will be service request,or whatever the shorted value is, is that correct?.
    I can see the transaction types in table CRMC_PROC_TYPE_T, although it looks like I need to pick SRVO (Service order) at a guess, and if this is right I'm looking for the EEW Business object to match. But it feels like guesswork to me. For example, I could choose EEW Business object 'SERVICE_TRANSACTION' which has an Extension type of 'CUSTOMER_H', or I could choose EEW Business object 'SERVICE_CONTRACT' or 'SERVICE_CONFIRMATION', although the last is unlikely. But, my point is there is so much open to interpreatation, and I'm expecting it to be more exact. Perhaps I'm just missing something.

    Hi gurus,
    I have a requirement in which i need to change the layout of a report v.25 through transaction VOKF. Actually i have added one field VDATU in the table VBMTV and the fields of this table are getting displayed in the output but not all fields. so through the transaction VOKF a variant has been created with some fields and there is also option for additional fields addition. But the field which I have added new through append structure doesnt appear in the possible value fields.
    So do anyone have any solution for this or if anyone has ever encountered this type of issue.

    You should also add the field into the screen through program MP .. 0002.
    I advise you to add it from the P0002 structure which is the red dotted icon on the top part of screen maintenance screen.

    Here is mylogic to find the cost. For a particular order find the Doc. Condition value VBAK-KNUMV and go to table KONV to get the various price condition. The relevant price condition will be VPRS. For Cost per unit we need to use the field KBETR and for item Total Cost we need to use field KWERT.
    Is this possible with this logic?
