Adding new Service Packages

How do I create my custom service packages that will be available in Delegated Administrator.

Hi,
Well there was a discussion here on the forums some time ago where a user wanted to create a special NAT rule.
In that situation the user had only 1 public IP address available that was naturally used for all LAN users when connecting to the Internet. But a remote site still wanted to limit the connections based on some information. The idea was to use the source port. Dynamic PAT naturally poses the problem that users will be always visible from the same public IP address and the source port is random even after the Dynamic PAT translation.
The user wanted to do Dynamic PAT and want the translated port to be from some certain range. We managed to build this special Dynamic PAT configuration and this made it possible for the remote site to allow connections only from this certain public IP address when the source port was from a certain range.
The above is a pretty extreme/special situation which I would imagine not many people would use or would even have to implement. But naturally in that specific case if you were the admin of the remote site firewall you could have created a Service Object with both the known source port range and the destionation port where they need to connect.
Hope this helps and made any sense

  • Adding new Remote System unavailable in Web Service Request

    Hi,
        I created a CRUD Web service from a table using web service generator.I added a new remote system to the repository.When I invoke the create operation (which has key mapping "Yes"),it says "Remote System not found in the repository"
    I am able to view the Remote System via Data Manage though.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Premjit

    Hi Premjit,
    When did you added new remote system?
    Before generating web services.
    Or After generating web services.
    If you have added remote system after generating web services.
    Then try re-generating web services using web service generator.

    I recently bought an iPhone 5s from boost mobile I thought service would be decent but it really *****. I'm wondering if there is any way I can switch carriers maybe to us cellular seeing that they recently added new prepaid plans and have good service in my area.  I do know boost operates with sprint but  not sure what I can do because having an expensive phone with crappy service really *****

    Sorry, but Boost reportedly does not offer unlocking for iPhones, so you're stuck with them unless you can return the iPhone for a refund and cancel the service, or can sell the iPhone to someone who could use it with Boost.
    Regards.

    Any help here would be great as I'm pulling my hair out at this point!
    Thanks

    There's not an actual space in the error, it just looks that way when I pasted the text into the post.
    For some additional information, I've tried going through the tutorial here (http://www.youtube.com/ADEPDevelopers#p/c/DF68F4464D4EF4E0/4/klNspQvfVMc) and here (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/enterpriseplatform/10.0/AEPDeveloperGuide/WS989a722fbb254cbe-6 f13dcd01304cbb1ac4-8000.html), however, neither one goes through the full steps of adding the Service to the axml and cxml files which is where I'm probably having trouble.
    I've also looked at the StockMosaicService sample included with ADEP and tried mimicking it but with no luck. I had expected the ADEP tooling in Flash Builder to handle all this for me but it doesn't appear to be working properly now.

  • Create New Service Session at Solution Manager = Product System missing

    We have installed SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 last year but not really use it.
    We have setup in the system landscape:
    Server (ecc6sbx)
    Databases (MCD)
    Product System (MCD) => SAP ERP
    Assigned them to logical component (eg ZECC6DEV)
    RFC destination for MCD was generated
    SDCCN Administration at solutions manager display MCD with SDCCN status in green color.
    At the satellite system MCD, SDCCN Maintenance job was created and scheduled. Initial single run was also done.
    There were no issue. Connection to SDCC_OSS was fine.
    Back to the SOLUTION_MANAGER transaction, we created a new solution ECC ERP - Development.
    In the Solution Landscape => Solution Settings, we have assigned the Logical Component into the System Group.
    However when we expand the tree, and click on the Servers folder it did not display anything.
    Click on the Product Systems also did not display anything.
    We have another Solution Manager which display information on those Servers and Product Systems folder for satellite system.
    Going back to the Solution Manager for the Solution ECC ERP - Development, I tried to Create New Service Session for EarlyWatch Alert. When  I click on the Create button, I could only see SAP EarlyWatch Alert for Solutions, there is no SAP EarlyWatch Alert for the Reference Object MCD (<installation number). I could not create a session for MCD.
    Does anyone have ideas what I am missing here? I am trying to attached a document which have print screen for reference while creating this message, but there is no such function here.
    Adding to link to the document file contain print screen

    Anyway, in the solution manger  how to we setup earlywatch alert for the SM SID host itself (source system)?
    I have the information on the below from our solution manger
    The data for this session is overdue. Data has not yet been transferred from the associated satellite system.
    Go to the Service Data Control Center (transaction SDCCN) in the satellite system and check why the data has not been sent.
    Typical sources of errors are:
    The RFC connection for the SAP Solution Manager system is not working.
    The 'Task Processor' background job, which collects the session data, has been changed.
    Problems arose while data was being collected (see the detail log for the task that collects the session data).
    A periodic 'SDCC Maintenance Package' task has not been scheduled to check whether your SAP Solution Manager system requests session data.
    I tried to go SDCCN on the solution manager itself and look at the Maintenance Service Definitions:
    I get the information:
    No suitable RFC Destination found in SDCCN settings.
    When I click ok I get the following
    No RFC destionation to source system of service definitions available
    Delete Service Definitions (radio button selected).
    I did not continue and cancel it as I did not want to delete anything.
    I check the Task Processor background job is running at SM host itself.
    I managed to get the Maintenance Package job running. However it failed with the following
    Error refreshing service definitions from destination SM_SSMCLNT001_BACK
    Source and target system may not be identical SSM
    The source and target system is the same ==> SSM, will this be an issue?

  • TableSorter errors when adding new data

    so here is the deal:
    I am using the TableSorter.java helper class with DefaultTableModel
    from: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html
    It works great when the data is static and I get it for the first time. however, occationally, when adding new data I get a NullPointerException error.

    DefaultTableModel.insertRow() methods.

    * TableSorter is a decorator for TableModels; adding sorting
    * functionality to a supplied TableModel. TableSorter does
    * not store or copy the data in its TableModel; instead it maintains
    * a map from the row indexes of the view to the row indexes of the
    * model. As requests are made of the sorter (like getValueAt(row, col))
    * they are passed to the underlying model after the row numbers
    * have been translated via the internal mapping array. This way,
    * the TableSorter appears to hold another copy of the table
    * with the rows in a different order.
    * <p/>
    * TableSorter registers itself as a listener to the underlying model,
    * just as the JTable itself would. Events recieved from the model
    * are examined, sometimes manipulated (typically widened), and then
    * passed on to the TableSorter's listeners (typically the JTable).
    * If a change to the model has invalidated the order of TableSorter's
    * rows, a note of this is made and the sorter will resort the
    * rows the next time a value is requested.
    * <p/>
    * When the tableHeader property is set, either by using the
    * setTableHeader() method or the two argument constructor, the
    * table header may be used as a complete UI for TableSorter.
    * The default renderer of the tableHeader is decorated with a renderer
    * that indicates the sorting status of each column. In addition,
    * a mouse listener is installed with the following behavior:
    * <ul>
    * <li>
    * Mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and advances the sorting status of that column through three
    * values: {NOT_SORTED, ASCENDING, DESCENDING} (then back to
    * NOT_SORTED again).
    * <li>
    * SHIFT-mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and cycles the sorting status of the column through the same
    * three values, in the opposite order: {NOT_SORTED, DESCENDING, ASCENDING}.
    * <li>
    * CONTROL-mouse-click and CONTROL-SHIFT-mouse-click: as above except
    * that the changes to the column do not cancel the statuses of columns
    * that are already sorting - giving a way to initiate a compound
    * sort.
    * </ul>
    * <p/>
    * This is a long overdue rewrite of a class of the same name that
    * first appeared in the swing table demos in 1997.

    The code you posted doesn't help us at all. Its just a duplicate of the code from the tutorial. The custom code is what you have written. For example do you update the TableModel from the Event Thread? Do you update the SortModel or the DefaultTableModel? If you actually provide your test code and somebody has already downloaded the sort classes, then maybe they will test your code against the classes. But I doubt if people will download the sort classes and create a test program just to see if they can duplicate your results (at least I know I'm not about to).

  • How to define tcp wrappers for a new service in Solaris 10?

    Hi all, I need to setup tcp wrappers for a third-party software product with /etc/hosts.allow.
    I installed Trillium software on a new Solaris 10 server. It added this entry to /etc/inetd.conf:
    dscserv0_rel1300 stream tcp nowait tsadmin /usr/bin/env env -i HOME=/home/tsadmin LOGNAME=tsadmin /opt/trilv13/TrilliumSoftware/server/metabase/bin/mtb_server
    After the install, I ran inetconv and this new SMF service was created:
    *# svcs -a|grep dsc*
    online         13:22:57 svc:/network/dscserv0_rel1300/tcp:default
    Here's the problem: After this, all new connections were denied by default. I had to disable tcp wrappers with this command:
    inetadm -m svc:/network/dscserv0_rel1300/tcp:default tcp_wrappers=FALSE
    I would prefer to enable tcp wrappers, and put an entry into /etc/hosts.allow, but I can't figure out what service name to put into /etc/hosts.allow. I've read through the man pages but I can't identify the service name to use for this new service, and it won't accept the FMRI or an abbreviation of it either.
    How do I identify the service name to put into /etc/hosts.allow?

    At OS level, before entering Sql*Plus, do :

    Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup

  • Can I have a blackberry and not pay for the internet service package?

    Hi I am new to this and my t-mobile phone that I have broke and I am looking to upgrade to something that will help me stay a little more organized but do not want to pay for the service package that comes along with buying a blackberry from t-mobile. I know that I could get one from craigslist or ebay or something and was wondering if I could just put in my Sim card and it would have all the basic functions without the internet and emails. All i really want from the phone is the easy navigation, good organizer, easy texting and calling. Thanks for the help! - Sully

    Sully, Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
    Sorry, no. Without the BlackBerry Data Plan, you will get very few of the data functions of the device... voice and SMS, yes. Calendar, contacts, etc., yes. No RIM push email.
    You can use the Opera Mini browser for the internet with the TCP setttings enabled, for a browser for free... just watch your billing and make certain you are not charged.

  • Adding new column to production database

    I have to add a new timestamp column, that defaults to the current date/time, to an existing production database. The table is large - 150M records. I am trying to understand the ramifications of adding a new column to a table this large that gets hit often, mostly with inserts and reads. The column does allow null values and I am not going back and populating existing records with a value. Basically, I am looking for some best practice guidelines - how to prepare, what to expect, what other processes should be followed along with this schema update.

    Thanks, I have not found any %TYPE or %ROWTYPE dependencies on the table I am altering. But at the same time I do not understand how these types of dependencies would invalidate packages. I wouldn't be breaking any %TYPE dependency because I am not dropping columns, only adding a new one. And according to documentation for %ROWTYPE - "If columns are later added to or dropped from the table, your code can keep working without changes." Can you point me to Oracle documentation that describes your concern in detail? Thanks.you can test it yourself
    SQL> CREATE TABLE abc (c1 NUMBER);
    Table created.
    SQL> INSERT INTO abc
      2       VALUES (99);
    1 row created.
    SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE test_proc
      2  AS
      3     v   abc%ROWTYPE;
      4  BEGIN
      5     SELECT c1
      6       INTO v
      7       FROM abc
      8       WHERE ROWNUM = 1;
      9  END;
    10  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL> SELECT object_name, status
      2    FROM user_objects
      3   WHERE object_name = 'TEST_PROC';
    OBJECT_NAME                STATUS
    TEST_PROC                    VALID
    SQL> ALTER TABLE abc ADD (c2 VARCHAR2(10));
    Table altered.
    SQL> SELECT object_name, status
      2    FROM user_objects
      3   WHERE object_name = 'TEST_PROC';
    OBJECT_NAME                 STATUS
    TEST_PROC                     INVALID
    SQL> you should also consider the chance that some where if people are using "select * into" using this table, which will fail since you added new column. i don't see any unusual performance bottlenecks by adding a new column. in case of the backups, yes the earlier backups will not have the column. if you restore it, you will see earlier table structure itself. i have one specific question. why are you not attempting this in development/test environment first? even if it is a simple insert, it's always important to do it in test environments before attempting on production db. one thing for sure i know is, after adding column, you will have to recompile all the invalid dependencies. i think, it's better if you attempt it in test db and come up with any issues you see rather than asking a general question where problematic scenarios are plenty and rarely unknown before hand.

  • Management Studio Fails when added Integration Services step to SQL Server Agent Job

    Hi,
    I have two new servers I've setup with Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 SP1, Visual Studio 2012 SP4. I've previously been on SQL 2008 and VS 2008 so this is new to me.
    I am finding SSMS is throwing an exception on both machines when i do the following:
    1. Go to SQL Server Agent | Jobs
    2. Create a new Job.
    3. Select Steps and click New Step
    4. Change the job type to SQL Server Integration Services Package.
    Following error occurs:
    TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
    The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception. (SqlManagerUI)
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The C++ module failed to load.
     (DTEParseMgd)
    Index was outside the bounds of the array. (DTEParseMgd)
    I also find if I take an existing job with SSIS package steps and attempt to edit those steps the same message appears. This issue happens on both my servers as they have been configured almost identically. This doesn't occur when selecting any other job
    type.
    I've also tried installing cumulative update 8 in a hope that this may fix it but with no success.
    As my entire environment is based around SQL Agents running SSIS i'm a little bit concerned, especially since I have some tight deadlines getting these servers running.
    I have found nothing relating to this issue. Any help greatly appreciated.
    Simon

    Hi,
    I hadn't installed CU3 however as a test i tried installing CU4 and this didn't help. Since my first emails i have more issues that have brought a complete hault to the upgrade project.
    If i double click on a package to run it manually I basically get the same issue. This means i have no way of running any packages except throught VS.
    I've also found that regardless of the order of the software installs it still fails. It's related to SP1 of SQL and SP4 of VS.
    I'm on Server 2012. When install in the following order SQL 2012, SQL SP1, VS2012, BIDS, VS SP4 i have no problem until VS SP4 is installed. If i install VS SP4 then BIDS it also fails at the last step. If i install all the VS and BIDS software first, then
    SQL then SQL SP1 it fails at the SQL SP1 step.
    This means i could actually install everything and either ignore the SQL SP1 or the VS SP4 and i'd be fine however this is not really a solution as i will never be able to patch the software and once live this is very dangerous.
    I am still surprised there is no obvious solution to this. I'm only installing MS software on a fresh box and only installing 5 pieces of software (including the SPs). I would have though if this was an issue others would have come across it too.
    Has anyone else installed all these components and got them working on the same OS. I believe early on in my testing i installed these in Windows Server 2008 and didn't have the issue.
    Regards.
    Simon.
