i am trying to add page numbers to a sheet that im working on and am stuck....

i figured out that the footer hight was too small.
it was set at .25 and i changed it to .5 and it magically showed up....

The "options" button should appear at the bottom of the iPhoto window, when you view your book, then the Book Settings Button should be available and you can activate page numbers.
But remember, that the settings available will depend on the Book Theme you selected. The above shows the settings for one of the "Travel" themes. In a Picture Book Theme, e.g. you cannot add page numbers.
What theme and book size are you using?

I recently upgraded to iWork v9.0.3, but when I access each applications the versions are different (i.e. Pages V.4.1, Numbers V2.6, Keynote V5.1.1) with a install date of 3/18/09 -- which is not the current install date of 2 weeks ago. Why?

Shouldn't Pages, Numbers, and Keynote show version 9.?? My MAC confirned installation of v9.0.3 and even accepted the software code. With this discrepancy, how can I determine if the latest was installed and operational? I even downloading v9.0.4, 9.0.5, and 9.1. When I tried installing these downloads it popped up note stating that a later version of Keynote was already installed.

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Download iWork documents from iCloud to Mac in Pages 5.0 and Numbers 3.0

Does anyone know how to download iWork documents from iCloud to Mac, most specifically from Pages 5.0 and Numbers 3.0. It seems that Apple have taken away the ability to do so, as in the past I believe there was a download button... All I am trying to do is download the document to attach and send via Gmail.
Extremely frustrating as I can't find any discussion surrounding this problem.

Have you tried right-clicking the document to get an option to download it.

Adding events in calendar from numbers or text file

Hey guys,
Ive had a look around and it seems like theres a few similar requests, but I'm not great at scripting and the like.
Essentially we have our shifts in either .txt or .numbers format and am just wanting to import them into ical as events with a start time, end time, location and name.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
I've attached a copy of what i get, hopefully its helpful.

Had to guess about your Numbers table format. You mention start, end, location, and "name" but I can only see start and end.
If you have a source table in Numbers somewhat like this:

Usage notes:
Be sure to click somewhere in the table before running the script. Otherwise it won't know which table you mean.
This assumes you have Numbers 3. Numbers 2 would require some adjustments.
Be sure to edit the calendarName property to match the name of your target calendar in the Calendar app, and the other properties to match your table.

Pages Merging from Multiple Numbers Tables

I'm trying to merge data into a Pages document from a Numbers document.
My Numbers document has 2 tables.
When I select a location in my Pages document where I want some data from Numbers to appear, and then select the Link button in the Pages Inspector, and then select Choose, and then select Numbers Document in the "Select Mail Merge Source" window, only 1 of the 2 Tables inside Numbers is offered as a choice from which to merge data from Numbers.
What do I have to do so that in the "Select Mail Merge Source" window, both Tables appear as choices from which to pull data?

Adding pages to a document

I have been using the following code to add a page to the document.
Utils<ILayoutUIUtils>()->AddNewPage();
It has been working fine in CS3 and CS4. However in CS5 (mac), it is inserting pages. So in a 2-page document, any objects that were on the 2nd page, are now on the 4th page in the document. And the newly added pages become the 2nd and 3rd page.
In previous versions, all the new pages were added at the end of the existing pages, so any objects that were on the 2nd page, stay there, and the new pages are the 3rd and 4th page.
Any ideas?

Insert a Section Break at the beginning of the first line of the document to insert a new page at the top of a document without upsetting the alignment of text and graphics below. The Page numbers will update below, but the design will be intact. Be aware though that this may result in your needing to copy Header and Footer details to the new first Section. If you build a document in the normal order, Section details are inherited by succeeding Sections, but when you work backwards this doesn't happen automaticallly.

ID CS2 Windows XP Pro - How long should adding pages take?

I am using InDesign CS2 in Windows XP Pro. I have an ID book file with 13 sections, approximately 20-25 pages in each section. There are approximately 4,000-5,000 images on the pages (total on all pages). I am using auto page numbering and am trying to add three blank pages to the beginning of the second section. It's been working for about two hours so far to make the change. Is this normal? I'm a Macintosh guy, so I'm not sure how long this process should take on a Windows machine. When I open the task manager, it says that InDesign is using 47-54% CPU (it fluctuates between 47 and 54%). I've quit all other apps (except system-related), even though they weren't using any of the processor, but it hasn't sped things up. In the menu bar at the top of the main ID window, it says "not responding," but I've seen that before and then it's started working again.
Is this normal? How long should I wait? I know adding an odd number of pages means that items on pages in the sections after the one to which I'm adding pages have to be shifted from right-hand pages to left-hand pages, but should it be taking this long?
I appreciate any input or suggestions. Thank you.

Thanks for the replies. I'm actually not sure how these files were set up (before I was here), and I haven't dug into them yet, but I'm trying to fix them (each book file is a 300-page catalog, and we have 10 catalogs...pray for me!). I thought there were 2GB of RAM, so that's one place to start. I'll try to add the pages with all the other sections closed first. I went through each section and they almost all had "sections" beginning on an internal page within the section in addition to the first page of the section. I want "automatic page numbering," so I unchecked "start section" (or whatever it says) on those internal pages.
I'll requisition more RAM and keep plugging away. Thanks for the suggestions.

Binary numbers to decimal numbers

Hello, Im writing a program that changes binary numbers to decimal numbers. I seem to be having a probelm calculating the last number in the binary code and adding it to the total. Also, when I use large binary numbers the output isnt anywhere near correct. help? please? thank you

Email numbers file as numbers uses a .zip

When I am seeking to email a numbers file in numbers format so I can use my email to save it Dropbox, with the new Version 2, it is now either compressing the file or minmally putting a .zip at the end. This is creating a problem with Dropbox as it says the file is not uploadable. The name looks like <filename>.numbers.zip. I am thinking it does not like the two extensions, but I cannot find a way to control what Numbers does with this file. Interestingly, when I look at the attached file on my iOS device I only see <>.numbers, but going outside iOS I see it as represented earlier (also it's how it's named when Numbers is saving the file - with the zip extension). This is ONLY with the new release a few days ago - under 1.x I NEVER had this issue as at least with the files I am using it never invoked compression,
SAME thing with Pages - but I have not tried Keynote.
Note, all is with iOS versions of these iWork apps.....
I did see a post back in 2007 which said that numbers (and it's related) are actually folders hence not really files per se. The solution is to export into MS formats. That said, (a) I never had this issue under 1.x and (b) I never tried to open one of the backup files on Dropbox that I had saved up there as what I thought was a numbers file - so it's unknown if, after all, I really had no effective backups!

Having this problem with the new version of Pages as well when I export directly to Dropbox. The only fix I can come up with so far is that I delete the .zip extension when the dialogue box comes up to choose the destination folder within Dropbox. That leaves only the .pages extension, and then the document opens as Pages in Dropbox after it is saved.
I wonder if there is a hidden default setting that causes all files to be zipped from Numbers and Pages? I can't seem to find it.

Hi Carol,
It depends on whether you want the numbers to move with the rows if and when you sort, or if you always want the rows numbered top to bottom.
There's a function that returns the row number: ROW(). Placing that in a cell always displays the number of the row. If you want to number once and then let the numnbers follow the data around, you can Fill with a sequence by typing "1" in the first row and "2" in the second row. Then select both cells and drag the Fill handle down the table to extend the series. The fill handle is the little open circle in the lower right corner of the selection.

Problems printing duplex, page 1 on sheet 1 but pages 2 and 3 on sheet 2

When I am printing documents in duplex form page 1 ends up on sheet 1, but pages 2 and 3 are on sheet 2. Why does it always skip one page? Please help me, I am out of options...

Figure numbering AND paragraph numbering in the same document

Hi everyone,
I have a document with both figure numbering and paragraph numbering. So let say I am in section 4, then the first paragraph would be "4.1. Introduction" and the first picture would be "Figure 4.1: Cool pics".
I created two different lists, one for the figure and another one for the text so that figure numbers and paragraph number don't conflict. However I cannot add the section number in the figure numbering since it's on the other list... I tried to have the figure numbering and paragraph numbering in the same list, but then the numbers conflict (e.g it gives 4.1 Introduction and Figure 4.2: Cool pics).
Can anyone help me, doing what I want (which is "4.1. Introduction" and "Figure 4.1: Cool pics")? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your answer Jump_Over, but my project is already divided into chapters (themselves divided in sections) in a book.
I found a way around by having the figure numbering in the same list as the paragraph numbering, the twist : while I use level 1 to 4 in paragraph numbering, I use level 5 for figure numbering with a numbering definition like ^1.^#, so no more conflict between numbers.
It's working fine so far...

[JS CS3] Page side when adding pages

Hello all,
I am using a script to remove oversets by adding pages with linked text frames to the end of the document. When I am done removing the oversets, I check to make sure the document ends on a left page; if not, I am using the code below to add an extra page. However, the page ends up as a second right hand page right next to the previous one. How do I ensure that the page I add is a left-hand page. Thanks in advance.

Adding pages to pages

I used a template and modified it it's 2 pages. I can't add a third page. I found no documentation re adding a page so I assumed that if text flowed beyond the second page a third page would be added. I even pushed a picture into the non-existent third page and it disappeared. Any suggestions?
PS. The original flyer called FLYER is flawed. I called Apple Support because when I tried to email my revised FLYER template, onlyvone page would be as an image even though I chose PDF. Other templates emailed OK. So adding pages may be flawed also n

Yeah, I love how it's so much easier than the old OS9 days of having to put the fonts there yourself. More info for those looking at fonts, I've found that when given the option to download the Windows or the Macintosh font, downloading the Mac gives you a .sit file a lot of times. Instead, I download the Windows version (almost always a .zip file) and that works fine.
Given the option between TTF and OTF, always go with the OTF one
