    Help Needed
    Hi,
Can someone help me in adding multiple email address/mailing list in the email subscription for interactive reports in Apex 4.
pls mail me at [email protected]
    Regards,
    Sunny

The doc does not mention a separator for the email addresses because we only support one email address per subscription. I have logged a task for our next release to look at expanding it and allowing multiple.

  • Integration with muse created forms and business catalyst mailing lists

I have just spent a long time on a chat session with support after spending most of a day trying to sort out how to have the people who fill in our contact us page to be automatically added to a mailing list to keep in contact with them, but it seems there isnt a strong link with muse to do this easily.
When you create a form in muse, it has an option to send the completed forms to a selected email adress. It would be great if you there was also an option to add that contact to a selected mailing list group already created in Business Catalys
I would have also like the full integration of form central to be inside muse with all its functions. So I could create gift voucher orders forms  and receive payments by paypal or other options.
It has been a frustrating day trying to figure it out as the forums didnt seem to help with the info i needed.
It seems to use Business Catalyst webforms requires html coding knowledge which I dont have. you can created a basic form in there easily, but if you want to make it two collumns wide or other changes, it is very difficult to use with coding
A decent wysiwig editor in Business Catalyst would be great
    thanks for listening.
Overall I think Muse is excellent so I am surprised, this part of the software doesnt work as I expected.

  • Emails from another list are automatically deferred from Mailing list

I have several mailing lists setup on on a server. Most emails go through the listhost without any problems. Posts should be configured to automatically go through for all posters.
Some of these mailing lists are part of other mailing lists. If one sends an email to a mailing list, of which the server's mailing list is a member, the email will be deferred. The reason cited for deferring the email is "message has implicit destination." I have tried adding the original posters to automatically post all messages from this poster but that does not fix the problem.
I would prefer not to have any delays or waits for approval of such messages. How does one change this setting?
    Thanks!

Check the city LOV with hardcoded value first.
    Ex : select city_name from cities where country_name = 'India';
    Go with below query
    select city_name from cities where country_name = ':P_COUNTRY';
Also select refersh on other parameter selection in the parameter.

  • Option if I want an e mail address added to the recipents list.

    Hi
I do not want to stop the auto fill in mail I just want an option if I want an e mail address added to the recipents list.
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi,
Thanks for answering but thats not what I need
    Let me explain more fully.
Every time I send an e mail the address gets added to the recent recipents list automaticaly.
Thats what I want to stop happening.
I want a recent recipents list of just the addresses I choose that I actually need Yes I know that I can edit the list but I have to keep doing it and thats just pain.
So when I send an e mail to a new addres is there an app to give the option message :-
"Hi would you like me to add this new address to your list of addresses?"  Yes    No
    Can that be done?
    Thanks

  • Mailing list problem. Users added in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster cant send email

    Hi,
I have problem with making some new mailing list and updating some old ones.
I made a list named [email protected] and i wanted only specific senders to be able to send to the list so i added them in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster attribute in the Directory Server.
When i sent email from my pc (my email adress included in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster) with a mail client to the list i got
    Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed
Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
    Recipient address: [email protected]
Reason: you are not allowed to use this list: [email protected]
If i use webmail (Messanger express) the message gets normaly delivered to all the members of the list.
The webmail is on the same machine with the Messaging Server that has the mailboxes so its a local delivery.
I have 3 mail servers in my configuration. Outgoing mail server with sendmail (out.mydoman.com) , an spam/antivirus box (spam.mydomain.com) and the messaging server (pop.mydomain.com).
The delivery failure for the list was always sent by the messaging server.
I tried contacting each of my servers with telnet on port 25 and send an email to the list.
If i contacted the outgoing mail server the message was not delivered to the list and i got the same error as with the mail client on my PC.
(email goes to outgoing --> spam box --> messaging server)
If i contacted the spam/antivirus box then the message was delivered normaly to the recipients in the list
If i contacted the Message store box then its was normaly delivered.
I added a gmail account to the mgrpAllowedBroadcaster and when i sent email from it the message was delivered normaly to the list.
I get no error when i try
./imsimta test -rewrite [email protected] [email protected]

  • Group address (from mail list) is added to subject line

Just this week-without changing any settings-emails that are sent to a mailing list show the addressee in the subject line as well as the address, but in brackets, i.e. address [email protected] / subject -[[email protected]] great news!

Can anyone help? It is a problem in annoyance only, altho it interferes with searching.

That is very unusual. You might want to check with the mailing list administrator and see if anything has changed there. Is there anything unusual about the way you create and send these messages?
I checked with my ISP who hosts our mail and they

Hmph, obviously they haven't got the slightest clue what they're talking about. This might be true with a Windows machine, but there is no such virus on Macs. You can safely set this worry aside.

  • Mailing list set-up in OS X Server.

    Dear members:
I have been looking at different options for setting up a few mailing list groups. One of the best options I have found in terms of functionality and features is Listserv software but it is very expensive and is only available in a Unix version (no OS X available) which would require me to install it using terminal.
Two other options are DirectMail and OS X Server. According to the info page on Apple's web site setting up a mailing list in OS X Snow Leopard Server is a fairly simple thing to do. At least that is what they say.
According to your experiences how simple is it to set up a few mailing lists in OS X ? Please consider that I am an advanced user but without any advanced training in networking or programming.
    Thank you in advance,
    JRC

    ~ Joseph ~
i have now resolved all my issues with the mail list functions on SL... and i am pretty confused as to why it is done like it is now. done... BUT... there are now TWO ways of creating lists in SL 10.6
1, the mailman way, which is a proper mail list server and can be relied on and has sensible mail handling and bounce control and aparantly no longer linked to workgroup manager or OD
2, the apple-wiki tool which uses a postfix alias populated with a group membership on creation.
SO... if you need a group that is linked to a OD group and you do not mind the complete lack of management and the fact that the mailing list will be called [email protected] then use mailing lists linked to wiki...
    OR
Use mailman... 10.6 has now removed the link between groups and mailman lists.. and you will soon loose the workgroup manager control (that no longer works) for integration with mailman lists... if you use mailman you have an industrial strength mailing list tool that you can sync with various other DB sources (inc LDAP) and has sensible bounce and mail handling...
it took me a while yesterday to finally realise what has really changed and what i need to do to work as normal.
My plan is to create a group in workgroup manager called "Mailing Lists" and then with a perl script interrogate OD for groups that are in my "Master mailing list group" and then sync the OD group user list emails with the list of the same name (as any group in the OD group "mailing lists") in MailMan.... which will give me OD managed group mailing lists again and also give me [email protected] for my list name...
i object to have to call a mailing list with a "-wiki" extension to the name, and i would like to automatically have people added to mailing lists when they are put in groups...
i am still working on all of this and i hope my findings are of some help.

  • Delete Ghost Mailing List User (Mailman Config Bug)

I recently did something stupid. On the up side, I recognized that it was stupid right after I did it, but unfortunately my effort to undo what I did wasn't fast enough to correct the following issue. First, here's what I did:
I added a new group with the same name as an existing user.
Immediately after thinking about it and determining that this was probably a really bad idea, I deleted the group.
I thought everything was working fine until I realized that email was not coming in to the email address of the aforementioned user (the user that I had created a group of the same name)
Fortunately, I figured out the problem and a temporary fix. The purpose of this post is two fold: first, to submit what I believe is a bug, and secondly to figure out a way to permanently fix this issue on my system.
I have determined what happened on my system is this:
a mailing list group of the same name as my existing user was created thus diverting mail from that user to a now non-existant mailing list user. That results in the List Server Log reading the following when an email is sent to the user in question:
    list_server_post[16378] <Error>: missing list GUID
Here's what I believe is a BUG: OS X Server 4.0 did not delete the mailing list group when I deleted the group. Now that's probably understandable because it's probably a protection against also deleting my user of the same name as a precaution, but it's not the expected behavior nonetheless.
Here's where I need help: In searching through various config files, I've determined that there entries located in /Library/Server/Mail/config/listserver/prefs which correspond to various lists (including my ghost list). I've also determined that /Library/Server/Mail/Data/listserver/aliases contains the references to the list that postfix uses to handle delivery. Unfortunately, according to the contents of /Library/Server/Mail/Data/listserver/aliases/list_server_virtual these files are generated "automatically" so deleting them does not rectify the problem. My assumption is that these files are generated from Open Directory, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what entry. In any case, I need assistance deleting the entry which should no longer be present. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
In the meantime, I have successfully worked around this problem by issuing:
    sudo  /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin/serverctl disable  service=com.apple.list_server_mgr
which, of course, disables the list server (which I don't need), but I'm afraid it will be re-enabled if I restart (maybe I'm wrong about that, but I'd prefer to get to the root of the problem so it doesn't pop back up and bite me in the future).
    Thanks in advance!

Where would the error be sent? If you send it back to the originator, you
disclose membership of the list. You can, however, configure the list
to have an address to which DSNs and NDNs are directed so that the
list maintainer (or whomever) can be alerted to these issues. This
is done with the mgrpErrorsTo LDAP attribute associated with the list
description. (I myself do not know how to set that via iDA.)
FWIW, there's a public mailing list for iMS issues. That mailing list is
read and responded to by many of the iMS engineers. It's
[email protected] Anyone can post to it; it's an unmoderated
list. You can subscribe by sending a message to [email protected] In the message place the single line
    SUBSCRIBE

  • Mailing lists - Unsubcribes and bounces

When exporting mailing lists from Business Catalyst, are unsubscribes automatically tagged in some way, or removed?  And are email addresses that have bounced also indicated in some way?  If not, do these two processes need to be undertaken manually?

    Finally solved it...
The whole POSTFIXSTYLE_VIRTUALDOMAINS line was not necessary and was the wrench in the works for this particular configuration. Here is the winning combination I used to get a mailing list to accept mail from a virtual domain:
The main mail domain on this machine is mail.domainPrime.com; the virtual mail domains are mail.virt1.com and mail.virt2.com
Create the list using the Mailman web interface. Once created, I went to it's url (http://mail.domainPrime.com/mailman/admin/list) and changed its preferred hostname from mail.domainPrime.com to virt1.com and saved.
in /etc/postfix/virtual I added the following to the bottom:
    [email protected] [email protected]
    [email protected] [email protected]
in /etc/postfix/main.cf I added the following to the bottom:
    mynetworks = 127.0.0.1/32,172.16.1.0/24
    virtualaliasmaps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual
I then used the following commands:
    postmap /etc/postfix/virtual
    postfix reload
After performing these additions, I was able to send mail to the lists of the virtual domains. I can't attest that this is best-practice, but it is working for me. Hope this helps anyone else looking to do the same, and if you have any suggestions to improve my setup, let me know since I am not too skilled in Postfix and Mailman.

  • Changing the Reply-To header from a Mailing List

    Hi All,
I'm running JES 2004Q4, and I'm trying to set up a mailing list. The two ways I have done it so far, was to create a user and forward the mail from that user to the mailing list users using the forwarding options in the web mail gui, and the other way was to create a group and foward the mail to users that exist in the LDAP directory.
My question is, as you can guess from the topic subject.... Can I get the Reply-To address added to the mail envelope when mail is forwared from either the user or group??
This is so when people reply to a mail sent via the list, they will reply to the list and not the person who sent it.
I'm hoping I won't have to use program delivery and write a script to do it. :-)
    Cheers and thanks,
    Stuart.

One thing you need to understand is the difference between a "group" and a "list". Mails sent to a "list" automatically get the list name as "reply-to". Groups don't.
The difference is an ldap attribute. Please see the "provisioning guide", specifically the chapter on provisioning mailing lists:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6018-10/groups.htm#1000867
(I know this is the 5.2 provisioning guide, but this piece hasn't changed at all)

  • I have created a Mail List (25 adds) and it works fine, when I open Thunderbird later the list is gone and I have to create a new one. How do I save lists?

I have been trying to work out how to use email address lists in the past few months.
I recently managed to import all my contacts from Windows Mail on the old PC. They are now in "Address Book", there were a few in "Personal Address Book" but most were in collected Addresses.
When I went into collected addresses and clicked New List it allowed me to create a list of the 25 or so emails required. Then I could send out the email.
The next day I opened Thunderbird to send another email to the same list and it had disappeared.
I have since surmised that you cannot save a list created from Collected addresses in your Personal Address book unless the addresses in the list are in your Personal Address Book.
I will try again now I have completed the import and see if that helps.
Any other ideas would be most welcome.

You really should keep your contacts in your Personal Address Book.
You can drag and drop contacts between address books.
When sending a message, and the recipient isn't in your address book yet, Thunderbird automatically adds the recipients email address to Collected Addresses. You can turn that off though.
