Adding validations to interactive report contents

Hi
I have a feature by which i can upload a csv file and after uploading, it will be displayed in an interactive report.Is there any way i can provide validations for the data in the interactive report.

When I do so, the column doesn't appear in the interactive report...On the page I have to click on "Actions" then go to "Selected columns" and then display it ! the problem is when I logout and login again
    the column desappear again and I have to do samething again and again...Is there a way to set it appear by defaul always ???

    I have written a below select query on interactive report as

    Please suggest.NO DATA FOUND usually occurs when an i mplicit select does not find anything. It can also occur when referencing a collection element that has not been defined.
    You have 2 collectinons in the code you posted, apex_application.g_f01() and apex_applciation.g_f03. Since you are looping therough the COUNT attribute of g_f01 its reference ("I") is probably okay and the value store in vRow is probably not right. You can check this by using RAISE_APPLICTION_ERROR to see the value something like
    raise_application_error(-20000,'vRow="'||vRo2||'"');Remember that working with checkboxes is tricky. If the box is not checked nothing will be sent. You may need to define a default value when no value is submitted.

  • Catch the onClick event on Interactive Report to access columns content

    I am using Apex 4
    I would like to display some rows into an interactive report. I have define a dynamic action on that report in order to catch the Mouse OnClick Event.
    The Goal is to display the detail of the row in a form region in the sidebar.
    To do this, I would like to get the content of a column of the row clicked and then execute a pl/sql block to get the detail of my row.
    I am stuck to get the content of the column I have clicked within the dynamic action to pass it to execute the pl/sql block.
    Any idee?

  • Newly added column not displayed in Interactive report

    Hello,
    I have a tableA with 3 columns.In the application i am displaying as Form with Report region as Interactive report(Oracle 10g Application Express 3.2).
    I added one column to tableA.Now when i am refreshing the report by adding that column in the select query,the new added column is not displayed in the application.
    How can i do this so that the added column can be displayed.I dont want to delete the whole thing and redo it again.

    Hi Siya,
    The Interactive Report will not show you the newly added columns by default. You have to select those columns from the actions menu and when all the required fields are displayed then save it as the default report.
    Then you will be able to see all the columns.

    I have an Interactive Report with the following query:

    DOWNLOAD:FILES:FILE_CONTENT:ID::FILE_MIME_TYPE:FILE_NAME:FILE_LAST_UPDATE:FILE_CHARACTER_SET:attachment:DownloadWhen I click on the FILE_CONTENT link in the report, depending on the type of file, it opens in a new window or in my report’s window.
    I am trying to set the link to always open the content in a new window. I tried changing the Link Attributes to target="_blank" but it did not work.
    There is an example in the Package Application “Sample File Upload and Download” on apex.oracle.com. Page 1 has a report that allows you to add files. You can add files such as PDF, SQL, or TXT file in order to replicate my situation.

    The problem is solved!
    Apparently the Content Disposition: Attachment in the BLOB Download Format Mask does the trick.
    For some reason I have to logout and login again in the application to see the change.
    I tried changing the Content Disposition to Inline and then back to Attachment, and the file keeps opening in the same window unless I start a new session.
    Is there any explanation why it is working that way?

    Hi,
    there are more validations than you think. Anthony Rayner has prepared a nice summary in a [url http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2010/08/apex-40-enhancements-validating-form.html]blog post.
    You see in that post where and how to disable validations, but also, that you may not disable all of them. The only way to avoid all validations would be to implement the report yourself completely.
    The good news is, you can overwrite those messages. The following documentation tells you how to:

  • Interactive Report uncheck Filter when adding new filter

    Is there any possibliity to uncheck all Filters which are already defined in a interactive report when a new filter will be created?
    My first approach started by adding a dynamic action which is related to the search field:
    event = key_down
    jQuery Selector = #apexir_SEARCH
    event Scope = live
    The Action contains:
    $('input:checkbox').attr('checked', false);
    There are 2 problems at the moment:
    1. When the user hits "go" or "enter" the checkbox are checked again when the result is shown
    2. If a filter is defined where the search field is not used, it doesn't work

    too much hassle I think. You can try to hijack any POST message, analyze it, and if it's about p_widget_action=FILTER you'd stop the action and interfere with an AJAX call to APEX_UTIL.IR_FILTER or IR_RESET. After the AJAX request has returnd (synchronously), you can fire the original POST again which sets the new filter.
    Hmm. Sounds to me like you'd better ask the client if he is willing to pay for that sort of convenience.

    I've added two columns to an interactive report.
    When I run the page, the added columns are not visible.
    Then I made them visible through 'Select Columns' option.
    But next time when I log in those two columns are again invisible.
    How can I make the added columns to be visible by default in the interactive report?

    I am ahving a similar issue.After I migrated my classic report to interative report, I have added few columns to the SQL query...I am not anle to see these in the report..I deint understand the solution u gave here..Can you please elaborate..
    Where can I include the "actions" option? and how do I use the Save Action.

  • Adding Every Row From a Filtered Interactive Report to a Collection

    I'm creating an email list maintenance application in Apex 3.1. I have an Interactive Report on an email address table. I want the users to be able to run this IR and then click a button to add all of the resulting email addresses into a selected mailing list table. The interface needs to be as quick and simple for the user as possible, so I don't want to force them to click a checkbox beside hundreds of rows.
    Is there a way to add every resulting row from a custom IR to an apex_collection?
    I know that collections can be created based on a query with the CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY call. But I don't think it's possible to reference the SQL statement which is dynamically generated through an Interactive Report. I'm referring to the SQL created after the user has applied filters. If there were, then I would just create the collection that way. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    I couldn't find a place where the filters are stored either - it would be nice to know.
    It is possible to get to the filters via javascript as they are actually stored in a table with an id of "apexir_CONTROL_PANEL_COMPLETE". Within there, there are rows for each filter and each row has four cells. The second cell contains an A tag that has the filter itself as the text displayed as a hyperlink on screen. The third cell contains the checkbox that enables/disables the filter. Strings and numbers seem to be formatted ok, so you could pick up these values and create your own WHERE clause, populate a hidden field somewhere and then pick that up to generate a full select statement to get to the id's that you need.
    I haven't yet tried this, so this is theory only - but I can't see that it wouldn't work

    For now I have the downloaded to PDF option checked so the user can print an interactive report via the widget.
    I would like to have a print button on the report also.

  • Adding radio button to each row of an interactive report: possible or not?

    First of all let me explain what the point of this application is.
    I'm making an application that allows a user to select something out of a drop-down select list. This list is a list of categories for food. Let's say the user selects "Fruit".
    Then the page refreshes and shows an interactive report with a list of food that belongs to the category of fruit.
    Here's where I want to change things:
    I want the user to see the interactive report, but in this interactive report I want to add a radio button for each row.
    Then, when a certain type of food is selected (let's say "Strawberry") via the radio button, a text field should appear underneath the interactive report. In this textfield, the user can then add the weight of the food item, and then it will calculate how many carbs there are in the strawberry.
    All I really want to know is:*
    How do I add a radio button to each row of the interactive report, and how do I link this radio button to the value of that particular row?*
    Additional information:
    The item "P17_FOOD_CATEGORY" contains the following LOV:

    I tried to change my code to your version, but then I get an error message:
    Error Unable to change Interactive Report query.
    ORA-12899: value too large for column "APEX_040100"."WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS"."DB_COLUMN_NAME" (actual: 32, maximum: 30)
    I don't quite know what this means. After doing a quick search on the internet, I know that this message should mean that the length of the value for the columns named "APEX_040100", "WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS" and "DB_COLUMN_NAME" is too long. But, I don't have these columns. I searched for them in my object browser, and they can't be found in any table related to my application.
    I'm sure your answer is the solution, but do you perhaps have an idea on how to solve this error? I checked the allowed maximum length for any column value that is related to my application, but they all have "50" set as the maximum value...

  • Adding new fields in interactive reports in Opportunity area

         We have implemented SAP CRM 7.0 ( SP8) and we are using the interactive reporting available in the system.  When we try to build a custom report using the manage reporting link (which leads to a wizard), the wizard lets us choose between 34 available fields in opportunity area. The customer wants to include few more fields to this list like Prospect id, Opportunity id, Item descriptions which are standard fields but not available in interactive reporting. So I am trying to find out from where in system those 34 fields are configured and how I can add few extra fields to that list. 
    With EHP1, SAP has provided a interactive reporting enhancement workbench, but we are on SP8. So any help or information is highly appreciated.

  • Adding an alpha picker to your interactive report

    The interactive report is realy a great great feature of Oracle Apex.
    When working with a lot of data like cost centers names, organization names, person names, ect.
    some users have requested if it isn't possible to have a convenience filter, so that they just have to click on a letter and they get filtered all the names that start with that letter (aka alpha picker) that look like this:

    I was fascinated that such a feature is realy easy to implement as smooth integration with the interactive report features.
    Just Create a region of type "PL/SQL" and paste the following into it and you are reday to filter by first letter:
