Additional attributes for TREX

hi,
we want to add additional attributes during the catalog replication. We are running CRM 5.0 and TREX 7.1.
Does any restriction regarding the length of the attribute values exists? As far as I can see, we can only use strings with the length of 64 characters.
Regards
Michael

Hi Michael,
You're right, when you implement additional attributes on the TREX, the value of the attributes is broken into parts, where each part contains not more than 64 characters, which are separated by a special character( in between them.
This can be eliminated by the implementation of an SNote - 1005135 - Replication problems when pcat text exceeds 128 characters.
However, as Sateesh has rightly said, maintaining each additional attribute as an additional text type in the PCAT_ITM or PCAT_HDR text objects is a better solution in terms of data maintenance and consistency. Further, you must plan the introduction of these additional attributes, as each addition would require an initial replication of the product catalog.
Hope this helps.

  • Additional attributes for APO data objects

    Hi,
    In order to provide some be-spoke functionality I have a need to extend some APO data objects with additional attributes. This includes: resource, PPM, Order. For all I have identified that I cannot use exisiting fields, therefore my aim would be to add new attributes (either directly or via reference Z-table).
    I have two questions:
    1. What's the easiest way to extended above objects with additional attributes?
    2. Is there a ways to have those additional fields visible for edition from a standard transactions, eg.: /SAPAPO/SCC03, /SAPAPO/RES01, /SAPAPO/RRP5?
    Note: I'm interfacing with non-SAP ERP therefore CIF is not in use, while I see set of BAdis for master data inbound processing. Is this something I could use?
    Thanks,
    Mrx

    Hi,
    As you mentioned, the add. att. are time dependent, it is good to enhance the
    0EMPLOYEE structure to handle not only the Master data attribs but also the
    time dependent add. attributes..which would be executed along with the Master data chain even after the imp.
    Hope this helps..
    assign points if useful..
    Cheers,

  • Additional attributes for requester and approver

    Hi,
    I have a scenario:
    1.Requester should raise the request to assign the role for beneficiary and requester should select 'Valid from' and 'valid till' (valid from and valid till are additonal attributes)
    2. Approver will reivew the request and should be able to change the 'valid from' and 'valid till' dates ( role active dates )
    I have changed the 'AssignRolesDataset.xml' to display the additionals attributes for approver task by making 'approver-only'.
    Can I add addtionals attributes for requester ? Can the requester additional attributes values will visible to approver to review and change?
    These Additional attributes stores in which table?
    Can any one Please guide me here.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I have created the 'AssignRolesDataset.xml' as below and imported successfully in oim (purged also), but not able to see the additonal attributes when I raise the request from self service and select the 'Assign Roles' , also not able to see the attributes with approver.
    AssignRolesDataset.xml
    <request-data-set xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request" name="AssignRolesDataset" entity="Role" operation="ASSIGN">

    <AttributeReference name="RoleActiveFrom" attr-ref="RoleActiveFrom" type="Date" length="30" widget="date" read-only="true"/>
    <AttributeReference name="RoleActiveTo" attr-ref="RoleActiveTo" type="Date" length="30" widget="date" required="true"/>
    </request-data-set>
    Please correct me here.

  • Need to retrieve additional attributes for roles and users

    Hello
    We need to access some attributes for our application. This information is not accessible through the core API. The attributes we need are as follows
    User Account
         Password locked
                    Date account locked last
              Account locked last by
              Date account last unlocked
              Account last unlocked by
              Reason for last account unlock
    Roles
              Created By
              Person Responsible
              Changed By
    I know we can access this attributes using the IPCDAttribute. What i want to know are the namespaces and the corresponding attribute names. Could anybody point me in right direction? I have seen that IUserAccount API has a method called isPasswordLocked() which should return me the locked information, but i cannot access that method in the java code.
    Any help is very much appreciated.

  • Extending TREX Attributes for ECO 5.0 for ERP Version

    Hi,
    I want to add additional attributes at item level to the product catalog. I followed the steps at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60/helpdata/EN/2a/d2fb3ff778ed28e10000000a1550b0/content.htm.
    I implemented the BADI and my own ISA_REPLICATION_CATALOG class, the BADI is also active.
    I am missing a short example, what I have to do in the methods ATTRIBUTE_NAMES_GET and NODE_GET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES. The SAP note which is mentionend for examples (837119) is not giving any example. Maybe someone can give a short code example.
    kind regards
    Michael

    thank you for your prompt response.
    However, I dont think that is gonna help me. In TREX Admin, when i choose option Load Delta Index, I get the message "The selected indexes do not use delta indexes. Load not possible"  Also when I choose the option Delta Index ON, I get a a error with the GUID portion of the index name. I think what I am looking for is a program in the ABAP side.
    Even if i could enable Delta here, each run of ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION in the ERP system creates a new index with a unique GUID in the name.
    Example: DF59FA0DDA0CEBF1A4D30015C5F7D704
    In my research for Delta Index for ISA, I found that CRM had several delta applications that could be scheduled in the ABAP system such as CRM programs COM_PCAT_IDXSTAT_MODIFY_D or LCOM_PCAT_STAGE_REPL143 etc...
    ERP only has 2 programs, ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION & ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION _DELETE.
    If you search on the Marketplace or SDN, most information falls under application area component: CRM-ISA-CAT Internet Sales Catalog. I need information for component: CRM-ISA-R3 Internet Sales (R/3 Edition)

  • Qualification Catalog Additional Attributes OOQA

    Is there a method to provided additional attributes on a qualification within the catalog? It appears that the text description is our only option.

  • Language attributes for business objects ERC_CDCY

    Hello,
    I need to activate TREX index ERC_CDCY from our e-recruiting system using SES_ADMIN transaction.
    When I activate it, I receive error message UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION (CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB) at the
    relational index level (Relation of candidacy).
    I opened a message with SAPnet and got the following answer:
    Indexes are only created in english compared to others systems that contains indexes in both languages (EN, FR). We could not find any french attributes for business objects ERC_CDCY which is required (at least 7 words) to index it in french language.
    Do you know which transaction or SPRO menu path I could use to maintain de language attributes and the 7 words?
    Thanks for you help
    Hugo

    Hello Huga,
    About maintaining the language in E-Rec  you can have a look at the table
    V_T77RCF_SELANGU, there you can maintain the different language.
    The exception you are getting might be coming from the TREX side. please check the following notes:

  • Additional attributes (such as "xmlns:xsi") in document

    How can I add some additional attributes in in my toplevel element when creating
    a new XML document from scratch using XMLBeans. For example the attributes "xmlns:xsi"
    and "xsi:schemaLocation" in the sample below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <MyDoc xmlns="http://www.xxx.nl/yyy" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.xxx.nl/yyy myXsd.xsd">
    <..../>
    <..../>
    </MyDoc>
    XML does add the "xmlns" attribute itself. How can I add the two other attributes?
    Currently I have a workaround. I read an "empty" XML-file containing these attributes
    using XMLBeans (parse) and then I fill the empty structure. But I feel that there
    has to be a better solution. Unfortunately I cannot find it.
    Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hello Olaf -- You might trying using an XML cursor. So assuming you've
    compiled a schema to generate XMLBeans types, you might do something like
    the following.
    MyDocDocument myDocDoc = MyDocDocument.Factory.newInstance();
    MyDoc myDoc = MyDocDocument.getMyDoc();
    // Create a cursor and move it to where you want to start inserting
    attributes.
    XmlCursor cursor = myDoc.newCursor();
    cursor.toFirstContentToken();
    cursor.toLastAttribute();
    // Insert your attributes.
    cursor.insertAttributeWithValue("schemaLocation","http://www.w3.com/2001/XML
    Schema-instance", "http://www.xxx.nl/yyy myXsd.xsd");
    // ...add other attributes in a similar way...
    // Dispose of the cursor.
    cursor.dispose();
    Without a schema, you'd be working with the XmlObject returned from your
    newInstance or parse method.

  • Looking for a reference manual that actually describes in detail all attributes for a command

    I am using CS5. I am teaching myself Photoshop using their book, "Classroom in a book".
    Thought the lessons, they will suggest specific setting for command attributes without describing exacting what these values mean.. For example, on page 88 they give the student specific settings for the Refine Edge dialog bog under the Quick Selection tool. They say, "To prepare the edge for a drop shadow, set Smooth to 24, Feather to 0.5, Contrast to 12, and Shift Edge to -21". Note: I am calling things like Smooth, Feather, Contrast, etc command attributes.
    My question is not about this specific example, but all these attribute values for all the commands. For example, what does Shift Edge really do when negative or positive. My question is: does a reference, either a book, pdf, or a non-Adobe product (probably a book) exist that actually explains when each attribute actually does for every command? Basically looking for a boring detailed reference guide so when I am using a specific command, I can read about the attributes for the specific command and understand what the values really mean and not guess my trial and error.
    Thanks in Advance,

    For example, I just happen to have my book open to page 113 and it is showing me (at the bottom of the page) the dialog box for Layer Style.  I was hoping for a reference manual that explains every option in the that dialog box in detail and tells you what each option means and how it effects the image.
    I hope this clarifies what I am looking for.
    Here's a little snippet from the info about Layer Styles in the Adobe manual.
    Layer style options
    To the top
    Altitude For the Bevel and Emboss effect, sets the height of the light source. A setting of 0 is equivalent to ground level, 90 is directly above the layer. Angle Determines the lighting angle at which the effect is applied to the layer. You can drag in the document window to adjust the angle of a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, or Satin effect.
    Anti-alias Blends the edge pixels of a contour or gloss contour. This option is most useful on small shadows with complicated contours. Blend Mode Determines how the layer style blends with the underlying layers, which may or may not include the active layer. For example, an inner shadow blends with the active layer because the effect is drawn on top of that layer, but a drop shadow blends only with the layers beneath the active layer. In most cases, the default mode for each effect produces the best results. See Blending modes. Choke Shrinks the boundaries of the matte of an Inner Shadow or Inner Glow prior to blurring. Color Specifies the color of a shadow, glow, or highlight. You can click the color box and choose a color. Contour With solid-color glows, Contour allows you to create rings of transparency. With gradient-filled glows, Contour allows you to create variations in the repetition of the gradient color and opacity. In beveling and embossing, Contour allows you to sculpt the ridges, valleys, and bumps that are shaded in the embossing process. With shadows, Contour allows you to specify the fade. For more information, see Modify layer effects with contours. Distance Specifies the offset distance for a shadow or satin effect. You can drag in the document window to adjust the offset distance. Depth Specifies the depth of a bevel. It also specifies the depth of a pattern. Use Global Light This setting allows you to set one “master” lighting angle that is then available in all the layer effects that use shading: Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, and Bevel and Emboss. In any of these effects, if Use Global Light is selected and you set a lighting angle, that angle becomes the global lighting angle. Any other effect that has Use Global Light selected automatically inherits the same angle setting. If Use Global Light is deselected, the lighting angle you set is “local” and applies only to that effect. You can also set the global lighting angle by choosing Layer Style > Global Light. Gloss Contour Creates a glossy, metallic appearance. Gloss Contour is applied after shading a bevel or emboss. Gradient Specifies the gradient of a layer effect. Click the gradient to display the Gradient Editor, or click the inverted arrow and choose a gradient from the pop-up panel. You can edit a gradient or create a new gradient using the Gradient Editor. You can edit the color or opacity in the Gradient Overlay panel the same way you edit them in the Gradient Editor. For some effects, you can specify additional gradient options. Reverse flips the orientation of the gradient, Align With Layer uses the bounding box of the layer to calculate the gradient fill, and Scale scales the application of the gradient. You can also move the center of the gradient by clicking and dragging in the image window. Style specifies the shape of the gradient. Highlight or Shadow Mode Specifies the blending mode of a bevel or emboss highlight or shadow. Jitter Varies the application of a gradient’s color and opacity. Layer Knocks Out Drop Shadow Controls the drop shadow’s visibility in a semitransparent layer. Noise Specifies the number of random elements in the opacity of a glow or shadow. Enter a value or drag the slider. Opacity Sets the opacity of the layer effect. Enter a value or drag the slider. Pattern Specifies the pattern of a layer effect. Click the pop-up panel and choose a pattern. Click the New Preset button          to create a new preset pattern based on the current settings. Click Snap To Origin to make the origin of the pattern the same as the origin of the document (when Link With Layer is selected), or to place the origin at the upper-left corner of the layer (if Link With Layer is deselected). Select Link With Layer if you want the pattern to move along with the layer as the layer moves. Drag the Scale slider or enter a value to specify the size of the pattern. Drag a pattern to position it in the layer; reset the position by using the Snap To Origin button. The Pattern option is not available if no patterns are loaded. Position Specifies the position of a stroke effect as Outside, Inside, or Center. Range Controls which portion or range of the glow is targeted for the contour. Size Specifies the radius and size of blur or the size of the shadow. Soften Blurs the results of shading to reduce unwanted artifacts. Source Specifies the source for an inner glow. Choose Center to apply a glow that emanates from the center of the layer’s content, or Edge toapply a glow that emanates from the inside edges of the layer’s content. Spread Expands the boundaries of the matte prior to blurring.
    Style Specifies the style of a bevel: Inner Bevel creates a bevel on the inside edges of the layer contents; Outer Bevel creates a bevel on the outside edges of the layer contents; Emboss simulates the effect of embossing the layer contents against the underlying layers; Pillow Emboss simulates the effect of stamping the edges of the layer contents into the underlying layers; and Stroke Emboss confines embossing to the boundaries of a stroke effect applied to the layer. (The Stroke Emboss effect is not visible if no stroke is applied to the layer.)
    Technique Smooth, Chisel Hard, and Chisel Soft are available for bevel and emboss effects; Softer and Precise apply to Inner Glow and Outer Glow effects.
    Smooth Blurs the edges of a matte slightly and is useful for all types of mattes, whether their edges are soft or hard. It does not preserve detailed features at larger sizes. Chisel Hard Uses a distance measurement technique and is primarily useful on hard-edged mattes from anti-aliased shapes such as type. It preserves detailed features better than the Smooth technique.
    Chisel Soft Uses a modified distance measurement technique and, although not as accurate as Chisel Hard, is more useful on a larger range of mattes. It preserves features better than the Smooth technique. Softer Applies a blur and is useful on all types of mattes, whether their edges are soft or hard. At larger sizes, Softer does not preserve detailed features.
    Precise Uses a distance measurement technique to create a glow and is primarily useful on hard-edged mattes from anti-aliased shapes
    such as type. It preserves features better than the Softer technique. Texture Applies a texture. Use Scale to scale the size of the texture. Select Link With Layer if you want the texture to move along with the layer as the layer moves. Invert inverts the texture. Depth varies the degree and direction (up/down) to which the texturing is applied. Snap To Origin makes the origin of the pattern the same as the origin of the document (if Link With Layer is deselected) or places the origin in the upper-left corner of the layer (if Link With Layer is selected). Drag the texture to position it in the layer.

  • Add Additional Attributes/Metadata to a Question to Enable Deeper Segmentation Analysis?

    In Captivate, is it possible to add additional attributes/metadata to a quiz question, to allow for more flexible and effective reporting?  For example, I want to categorize questions in two different buckets: Difficulty (Easy, Medium and Difficult) and Concept/Subject (Math, Verbal and Science etc..).
    That way, I can analyze a students performance by not only their aggregate score, but also where their strenghts and weaknesses lie - if I see that a student is struggling with all Easy Math questions, I'll know what to focus on during our next lesson?
    Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
    We can create Question Pools with Questions of different difficulty level called directly to the slides.
    But this would not give the advantage on LMS end, this would simply filter questions and would present them in the order you like, attaching meta data to a specific question would not be possible from Captivate, neither would you be able to call it on LMS report directly. You can assign a unique Interaction ID to each question item though capture the questions corresponding to the ids. If you LMS can refine the resuklts based upon the pre-assigned id, that should be great.
    Meanwhile, this would be in a different line, but have you checked the pre-test quiz, can that fit somehow, in you requirements?

  • Internet Sales Order - Additional attributes

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to enable Certification Requirements for products being sold.  Process goes like this -
    Customer places a Sales Order on Internet via Internet Sales Solution.  While placing the order, customer would select the types of certifications required for the product for example: certificate on country of origin, Quality certificate etc.  User should be able to select multiple such certificates as required, while creating the Sales Order.  Is there any way I can achieve this?  I am thinking about using additional attributes (via Set Types and attributes) assigned to the product master.  But, by assigning these to the product master, can I see the same attirbutes in the Sales Order in Internet Sales?  Secondly, can these attributes (with values) be transferred back to R/3 Sales Order? Any suggestions will be appreciated and properly rewarded for good answers.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Gopala,
    Yes. You can use additional products attributes to display the required certification parameters.
    But these attributes can't be transfered onto the sales order by default. You need to some java development / abap development to extend the sales order.
    If you want to transfer the same attributes to R/3 order then you have enhance the BAPIMATICS strucuture so that the middleware transfers them.
    Also you need to extend R/3 sales order to hold these attributes. This is a complex scenario and you need to design a good functional specification document before even attempting the design

  • Additional Attributes in AS2 Header using Seeburger Adapter

    Hello,
    our business partner required that we include some additional attributes in the AS2 mime header that are used for internal routing purposes (in addition to the AS2 ID).
    Attributes for example include a submissionType etc. Is it somehow possible to add this attributes? According to the documentation I can only add dynamicAttributes for standard fields, such as content type etc.
    Thank you for your support.

    Hi,
    I think you can.. but not recommended to modify standard Adapters.
    Check the below blog.

    Why dont you use Message subject or Content type ?
    Thanks

  • WF item attributes for new workflow versions

    Hi All,
    I have a query regarding Item Attributes for a particular workflow.
    Assuming that for a particular version there are say 100 Item_Attributes for a particular Workflow.
    In case a new version is loaded and if the new version is having say 102 Item_Attributes then
    2 additional attributes appear in WF_Item_Attributes table for that Item_Type.
    What if in the new version the number of attributes gets reduced to say 95.
    Will the number of attibutes for that particular Item_Type in WF_Item_Attributes will be 95???

    workflow creates versions for the new workflows you create(for most of the activities though not all)
