Additional Predicate for Detail List

Hi,
In an Master/Detail O/R relationship, when fetching the Detail side, I would like the list to be filtered by an additional predicate (condition) that is NOT in the join.
Allow me to clarify my question:
Assume Order has a List of Items based on column order_id. This is the only relationship between the two.
Normally, when I access the Item List, it will contain all rows that satisfy the above relationship.
I'd like the Item List to be filtered by yet another column in the ITEM side (e.g., COLOR).
Questions:
How do I define my annotation so that when accessing the list of Items from an Order object, the list is:
1. ALWAYS filtered by COLOR='Red'?
2. filtered by a Color parameter?
NOTES:
I'm using the version of TopLink included with MyEclipse 8.5:
[TopLink Info]: 2010.07.06 08:53:28.484--ServerSession(31128398)--TopLink, version: Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.0 (Build b40-rc (03/21/2007))

Hello Ramin,
JPA requires that you set both sides of bidirectional relationships so that the cache remains consistent with what is in the database, so it does require that when you create a new child and wish to have it reference a parent, you do need to add it to the parents collection of children. I'm not sure what there is to explain though - object references will only be persisted if they are set, requiring that you make the assocations. Is the problem that the application does not want to read in the parent entities? A Stub (just an unmanaged entity with a primary key) for the parent objects can be used to set the child->Parent relationship, but not for the Parent->Child collections (since changes to the stub are not picked up). So if it is a OneTomany with a ManyToOne back pointer, I believe James was suggesting that if you do not want to maintain the OneToMany collection, you do not need to map it. This will mean that instead of accessing the collection via the parent's getChildren method, you would need to query for them (via the DAO as you suggested). An alternative would be to map it, and instead of maintaining the collection, you refresh the parent entities when changes are made that would affect their collections. Refreshing the entity will cause the collection to be rebuilt from what is in the database, picking up any changes to the children.
Best Regards,
Chris

    HI,
    Based on the SY-LSIND value, you can have a different heading.
    top-of-page at line-selection.
    case sy-lsind.
    when 1.
    write:/ 'Heading for first list'.
    when 2.
    write:/ 'Heading for second list'.
    when 3.

  • One basic list to 2 detail list .

    HI Guru,
    Is it possible to see 2 detail list from one basic list at same time in reports .

    Hi,
    You cannot create 2 interactive lists from a basic list.When you click on an interactive list you can create another interactive list.
    This is because:-
    from http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9f/dba2eb35c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm
    Creating Detail Lists
    Each time the user executes an action on a list, the runtime environment checks whether there is an event block defined that corresponds to the function code. If there is, SY-LSIND is automatically increased by one, and the relevant event block is executed. Any list output arising during this event block places its data into a new list (list level) with the index SY-LSIND. In order to create a new list level, the GUI status of the basic list must allow user actions, and the relevant event blocks must be defined in the program.
    All lists created during an interactive list event are detail lists. Each interactive list event creates a new detail list. With one ABAP program, you can maintain one basic list and up to 20 detail lists. If the user creates a list on the next level (that is, SY-LSIND increases), the system stores the previous list and displays the new one. The user can interact with whichever list is currently displayed.
    The system displays this list after processing the entire processing block of the event keyword or after leaving the processing block due to EXIT or CHECK. By default, the new list overlays the previous list completely. However, you can display a list in a dialog box. If no other dialog status is set in the event block for the detail list, the system uses the status from the previous list level. However, there is no standard page header for detail lists (see below).

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to custom action for context menu in "Site Content and Structure" in SharePoint 2010.
    In "SiteManager.aspx", SharePoint use MenuItemTemplate class which represent a control that creates an item in a drop-down menu.
    For example, to create or delete the ECB menu for a list item in
    "Site Content and Structure", we can follow the steps below:
    To add the “My Like” menu, we can add the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemLike"
    runat="server"
    Text="My Like"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"
    ClientOnClickNavigateUrl="https://www.google.com.hk/"
    />
    To remove the “Delete” menu, we can comment the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemDelete"
    runat="server"
    Text="<%$Resources:cms,SmtDelete%>"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"
    ClientOnClickScript="%SmtObjectDeleteScript%"
    />
    The result is as below:
    More information:
    MenuItemTemplate Class (Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)
    MenuItemTemplate.ClientOnClickScript property (Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)

  • Condition type used for invoice list

    Hello Gurus,
            following condition type used for invoice list, why do they exit in invoice list:
             RL00    MW15.  LR00    RD01

    Hi,
    Please go through the below document
    When you work with invoice lists, you need to be familiar with the following concepts:
    Prerequisites for invoice lists
    Relationship to Pricing
    Structure of an Invoice List
    Changing header and item data
    Integration with financial accounting (FI)
    Prerequisites
    You can only process invoice lists if the following prerequisite data is defined by your system administrator in Customizing for Sales:
    Condition type RL00 (factoring discount) must be maintained and, if required, also the condition type MW15.
    An invoice list type must be assigned to each billing type that you want to process in invoice lists. The standard version of the SAP R/3 System includes two types of invoice lists: LR for invoices and debit memos, LG for credit memos.
    Copying requirements must be defined (for example, the payer, terms of payment and other fields that must be identical in the documents to be included in the invoice list)
    In addition, before you process an invoice list, you must maintain the following master data:
    A customer calendar must be defined, specifying the time intervals or dates on which invoice lists are to be processed.
    The customer calendar must be entered in the Billing Sales Area view of the customer master record.
    Pricing condition records for the condition type RL00 and, if necessary, (e.g. in Germany) the condition type MW15 must be maintained.
    Output condition records for condition types LR00 and RD01 must be created.
    Relationship to Pricing
    The system processes factoring discounts in invoice lists in exactly the same way as other kinds of pricing elements. The data for the factoring discount is stored in condition records. Controlling during document processing is carried out via condition types, pricing procedures and access sequences. This control data is defined in Customizing for Sales by your system administrator.
    For further information, see  Conditions and Pricing.
    Structure of an Invoice List
    An invoice list represents an individual billing document. It consists of a document header and document items. Each item represents a billing document that you have included in the invoice list. The header contains an overview of summary information, such as the net value of all documents in the invoice list, the value of the factoring discount, details of taxes, and so on. It also contains information on partners and output.
    Changing Header and Item Data
    You can change some of the header data - for example, the billing date - when you process the invoice list. You can change an item - either an individual or collective invoice - and display document details. However, you cannot change any data in individual billing documents once they are part of an invoice list.
    It is possible, however, to make certain global changes to output in all items in an invoice list.
    For further information on output, see  Communication in Sales and Distribution Processing.
    Integration With Financial Accounting (FI)
    The documents that you want to combine within an invoice list must already have been billed and forwarded to Financial Accounting. Here the billing documents intended for an invoice list are blocked for normal dunning transactions.
    The dunning block on FI documents is lifted as soon as you create an invoice list and transfer it to FI . The system then calculates the new dunning date for the invoice on the basis of the invoice list date.
    In addition, the system enters invoice list numbers in the FI documents as reference numbers. Invoice list numbers can then be entered for incoming payments.
    When you save the invoice list, the system automatically creates an accounting document for the factoring discount and possible taxes and posts it to the corresponding G/L account in FI.

  • IMPLEMENTING GUI SATUS FOR THE LIST

    HI
    I am a newbie to ABAP and netweaver.
    I am currently studying BC400 and doing exercise 17.
    Unfortunately the whole explanation of how to add or remove functionaly from
    buttons (Save for instance) is very lacking.
    Can someone refer me to a better source/tutorial that explains
    how SET PF-STATUS 'LIST'
    is implemented?
    Thanks
    yuval

    Hi,
    The below one i copied from the web ..
    You set the dialog status for lists in the same way as for normal screens, that is, using the statement
    SET PF-STATUS <stat> [EXCLUDING <f>|<itab>]
                         [OF PROGRAM <prog>]
                         [IMMEDIATELY].
    This statement sets the status <stat> for the current output list. The dialog status <stat> must be defined for the current program, unless you have used the OF PROGRAM addition to set a status from another program <prog>. The status is active for all subsequent list levels until you set another status. The SY-PFKEY system field always contains the status of the current list.
    Using SET PF-STATUS, you can display different user interfaces for different list levels to provide the user with different functions according to the individual requirements. Use SET PF-STATUS SPACE to set the standard list status. This depends on the event blocks in the program, as described above.
    The EXCLUDING option allows you to change the appearance and available functions of a status from within the program. This is useful if the individual user interfaces for a range of list levels are very similar. You can define a single global status, and then just deactivate the functions you do not need using EXCLUDING. Specify <f> to deactivate the function code stored in field <f>. Specify <itab> to deactivate all function codes stored in the internal table <itab>. Field <f> and the lines of table <itab> should be defined with reference to the system field SY-UCOMM.
    The IMMEDIATELY addition is intended specially for list processing. You use it while creating a detail list within an event block to change the status of the list currently displayed (index SY-LISTI). Without this option, the system changes the status of the current secondary list (SY-LSIND) that is displayed only at the end of the processing block.
    Regards
    Sudheer

    Hi Tom,
    Sorry for the delay. We can exclude the media factor since you were able to install it on VM with this media.
    If I understand correctly, Shanky said “Abve message can also appear due to corrupt profile so deleteting old profile and creating new one and using this to install would also help.Make sure you always RK on setup.exe and select run as administrator” which
    means your user account may be corrupted rather than the Virtual account. You can create a new Windows user account and use it to log into the system. Then, re-try the installation.

    Thanks.

  • Views for list web parts. Is there a way to allow users to change the view for a list web part without being redirected?

    Hi,
    I added a list view web part into a SharePoint 2013 page and it  is working as expected, except for one thing.
    I have enabled the option for the user to change the view for the web part. However when the user changes it, the user is redirected away from the page containing the web part, to the URL of the list itself.
    Is there a way to circumvent this issue so when the user selects a different view it updates the listing in the web part itself, rather than the user being redirected?
    Thanks in advance for the help.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi,
    Please understand that one page can only display one view. You could find it out by observing the Address in browser when switching among different views for a list.
    If you would like to change the view of a list web part, you could go to web part propertites > Select view and configure it.
    In addition, here is a thread with similar requirement that might help:

  • Start a workflow for a list item that was created by someone else

    What settings do I need to change so that I can start a workflow for a list item created by another user?
    I have a SharePoint 2013 workflow (let's call it LSR Status Workflow) that is associated with a list (called
    LSR List). When a user creates an item in the LSR List, it automatically starts the
    LSR Status Workflow. That is what I wanted, but sometimes I make changes to the workflow (via SharePoint designer) and then I would want to terminate the existing workflows that are running and restart them.
    When I try to start a workflow for anyone other than a list item that I created, I get the following error:
    Retrying last request. Next attempt scheduled in less than one minute. Details of last request: HTTP NotFound to https://publishing.web.company.com/sites/mysite/_vti_bin/client.svc/web/lists/getbyid(guid'1f844b8f-19aa-4587-bcc2-dfb7085f36b5')/Items(31)

    Then when the workflow is finally suspended after it keeps retrying, it reports the following error:
    RequestorId: 8efc5304-f0a3-90f6-0000-000000000000. Details: An unhandled

    If I created the list item, I can stop it and restart it without any problems, but this is not the case for list items created by someone else.
    What settings do I need to change so that I can start a workflow for a list item created by another user? I am the owner of the SharePoint site and am able to make changes to permissions if needed.

    You don't need to re-do the fields. If you create a new version of the PDF
    file just open the old one and use the Replace Pages command to insert the
    pages from the new version over the old ones. This will give you a new
    version of the file, with the existing form fields still in tact. Of
    course, you might need to adjust their location and/or size, but at least
    you won't have to start all over again...

  • BPM - Alert Inbox - Detail List - Single Sign on

    Hi
    I have some issues with single signon and the detail list in the alert inbox.
    When I click the details list, it should open the list on the managed system, but for some reason it only takes me to the login screen of the managed system. I would like to get straight into the list in the managed system, since trusted RFC and SSO has allready been setup.
    I have seen it working with the SSO.
    Has anyone experienced this and/or know of a Solution? Maybe just a hint into what could be missing.
    Kindly Regards

    hi,
    sso configuration taken over by solman_setup.
    hence make sure managed system configuration -> step 'single sign on setup' successfully completed or not.
    Thanks

  • CreateInsert for Detail Iterator INSIDE popup possible?

    ADF 11gR1
    Table Structure: MASTER >1:n> DETAIL >1:n> SUBDETAIL
    I have button that performs a create for MASTERIterator then opens a popup with an edittable form. In that form, I have af:iterator for DETAILIterator's attributes, as well as a table for SUBDETAILIterator. There are also createinsert pushbuttons for DETAILIterator and SUBDETAILIterator.
    I have the popup set to lazyUncached.
    When clicking on the createinsert for the DETAILIterator, the popup immediately closes.
    If this form is moved out of a popup to a standard page, it works fine. I assume because createInsert for a af:iterator tag would need to render additional HTML, perhaps this isn't possible in a single popup? I rather not perform this functionality as a "popup w/ a nested popup."
    Don't know if this is even possible, but I'm looking for insight.
    Thanks,
    -R

    for now i deleted the grandchild table (SUBDETAIL), so in the pop-up I only have
    MASTER (as a form)
    DETAIL (as a form inside an af:iterator tag).
    For example (don't have access to the machine at this moment, so excuse the pseudo-code)
    Master.attribute1
    Master.attribute2
    Master.attribute3
    <create-insert pushbutton for DETAIL>
    <af:iterator>
    row.DETAIL.attribute1
    row.DETAIL.attribute2
    </af:iterator>
    The af:iterator tag does not have a PartialTrigger attribute.
