ADF integration with Ebiz (R12.2.3)

Hi,
    I have to develop a custom ADF application with around 10 pages and integrate it with EBiz 12.2.3.
Since the Oracle apps is on Weblogic, can I make use of the same weblogic server to deploy my custom application? Or do I need a separate Weblogic server to deploy this application?
Please advise.
Thanks,

Hi All,
Please confirm can we use Oracle 12.2.3 weblogic server for custom ADF deployment.
As mentioned above Oracle said we need different weblogic Server for same.
Request you to share :
Oracle link or SR or metalink note where it mentioned.

Sameer

            System.out.println("In AMImpl.. checkEBSSession1");

  • ADF Integration with BPEL

    Hello,
    I am new to BPEL. I am working on a sample .
    I am working on ADF Integration with BPEL process.
    I have an ADF Screen displaying data from an EMPLOYEE table in HR Schema . It has a button called "Update". I need to call a synchronous BPEL process on click of "Update" . This BPEL process will take the selected employee information as an XML input and update the last name to the first name as the response.
    I have some doubts in that :
    1. How to pass an XML Schema as input parameter to a BPEL process ? Can you please let me know some sample applications ?
    2. I am creating a web proxy for the BPEL WSDL (created above) and my "Update" button is binded to a method which is calling the BPEL process.
    How can i pass my XML input as the argument of the method to invoke the BPEL process ?
    Thanks
    Nutan

    When using a web service proxy, you need to pass the data as an object, which' structure is defined in the web service proxy wrapper classes.
    When you've defined a data control for your bpel process, you can just drag and drop the 'initiate'/'execute', your operation and bind this to the update-button.
    When working with the proxy client, you need to populate your java class objects with the employee-object, this can be done in a backing bean or managed bean in your adf faces application.

    ojspCompile.pl compile -s 'LaunchApex.jsp ' retry ---> will not work
    ojspCompile.pl compile -s 'LaunchApex.jsp' retry --> will work
    compile will fail starting at this point of the code:

  • Discoverer integration with EBS R12 !!!

    Hello Sir,
    I need help to install/integrate Discoverer with R12.
    Actually, our clients are using Discoverer 4i in current EBS 11.5.10.2 in production. We have just upgraded EBS in TEST environment from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3.
    I had suggested client that Discoverer 4i is actually de-supported and they need to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 10.1.2.3 or higher to integrate it with R12.1.3.
    Now, client also have requirement for Discoverer to be certified with MS Excel 2010 format. So I have suggested to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 11.1.1.4.
    Latest certified Discoverer version is 11.1.1.7.0 as per note Using Discoverer 11.1.1 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 1074326.1)
    1) Can you please provide your opinion and any documentation which I can follow to install/integrate Discoverer with R12 ?
    2) Do I need to first install separate 10gAS for installing Discoverer 10.1.2.3 or Fusion middleware home for installing Discoverer 11g ? If yes, where can I find doc for this installation ?
    3) Since 10g support has ended July 2013, where can I get media for installing 10gAS ?
    4) Is there any additional licences required for using either Discoverer 10g or Discoverer 11g ?

    1) Can you please provide your opinion and any documentation which I can follow to install/integrate Discoverer with R12 ?
    In addition to the doc you have, please see:

    You can download WebLogic 10.3.6 from WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1), WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.6) and Previous Releases
    4) Is there any additional licences required for using either Discoverer 10g or Discoverer 11g ?

  • Apex Integration with EBS R12 - javax.servlet.ServletException

    Morning,
    We are in the process of upgrading from 11i to R12 and we have found that our method of launching Apex in 11i no longer works in R12. We are trying to follow the following instructions: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf and have created a .jsp file and compiled as per the document. When we try to launch the function from apps though we get:
    An exception occured.
    URL=XXX/OA_HTML/XXFND_LaunchApex.jsp?transactionid=1236782452&language_code=US&CallFromForm='Y'&p_application=112&p_page=101&oas=DScF2XdCwRRnxFePUKHOnQ..

    This load was initiated at oacore.web.html.jsp1603821464:0.0.0 using the loadClass() method.
    The missing class is not available from any code-source or loader in the system.I've XXX'ed out our domain. Has anyone else has this, or can anyone who has successfully integrated apex with EBS R12 let me know what they did?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    If the jsp compiled successfully then you may need to bounce your web server before the jsp can be used. See MOS Note 458338.1 for more details.
    Actually, now that Oracle have updated their FND Gateway for Apex integration there are only a few situations (such as if you want to pass parameters from the form function to Apex) where you need to use a custom jsp to launch Apex. In most cases you can use the Oracle supplied GWY.jsp to launch your Apex Page. To use this jsp you must apply the EBS R12 patch 12316083 (and patch 12726556 if you are launching from the forms navigator). How to use the GWY.jsp is described in "Extending Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 using Oracle Application Express" white paper.

  • OBIA 7.9.6.3 security integration with EBS R12.1.2

    Hi Experts,
    We are implementing OBI Apps 7.9.6.3 with EBS R12.1.2 as source.We need to integrate Active Directory with OBIEE and implement security of BI Apps with EBS R12.1.2. Need help on this.
    How to map EBS Responsibilities into Application Role and Groups? Whether we need to create one Application Role and Group for each responsibility ? Then provide permissions in rpd for each of them? The user should have similar permission in BI as they have in EBS - like people can see only US Finance data in EBS should see only US Finance data in BI also.

  • Set up of ADFS - integrating with Domino

    Hi
    I'm trying to enable ADFS to support Single Sign on to iNotes using SAML
    I've installed ADFS 2.0, I've created a self signed SSL Certificate and I've defined the Relying Party.
    After creating the Relying party you're supposed to be able to browse to:
    https://<fqdn of ADFS Server>/FederationMetadata/2007-06/federationmetadata.xml
    I get nothing, just an error that says internet explorer cannot display the webpage
    or a page not found if I use Chrome
    I did notice in IIS that the default web site was not started, so I tried to start it, but the bindings conflicted with another site (which can only be ADFS) If I change the port bindings in the default site, I can start the site.
    I can then get to the default site, but this is not ADFS
    Once I've got the metadata.xml file I can import this into Domino on the SP side of the equation.
    Must have missed something but cannot figure out what it could be

  • ADF Integration with Webcenter Spaces

    We are developing an ADF application. We have to Integrate it in WebCenter Spaces.
    In the ADF application we will be using taskflows to implement our functionality.
    We Can Integrate it in Spaces in 3 ways.
    1. Add it as an Omni Portlet
    2. Add it as a WSRP provider
    3. Add taskflows as Shared Library.
    We dont have to concentrate more on Personalization. We do have to implement Security for the taskflows(jazn-data.xml).
    Could you please let us know which of the following would be a best approach for our us, and also the scenarios where each of them can be used.

    You should forget about option 1 and 2.
    WebCenter Spaces is build as an ADF application so the natural thing to do is integrate it as a library.
    You should only use omniPortlet to integrate external content and even then you should go for the pagelet producer which is the newer component.
    Using WSRP portlets for ADF in your own application is something you should avoid due to performance and stability.
    You should only use WSRP for regular JSP based portlets. But not for using it with the ADF Portlet Bridge.

  • Apex 4.2 Integration with EBS R12.1.1

    Hi Guys,
    We followed the document "Oracle Applications Express The Fast Way to Extend the Oracle E-Business Suite By Rod West, Cabot Consulting [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf]
    After doing all the steps, when we try to navigate from EBS application to Apex application by clicking on the EBS menu link it ends up with below error
    "404 Not Found
    Resource /OA_HTML/null/pls/apex/f not found on this server"
    My url showing like this [http://<hostname>:<Apex port>/OA_HTML/null/pls/apex/f?p=101:1::APPS::::]
    Can anyone can help me in this.
    Brgds,
    Max.

    Hi Rod,
    Me too, have the same problem. I have tried like you said that is i replaced the below line in LaunchApex.jsp file instead of the line
    response.sendRedirect(l_launcher);
    in the jsp file and also i have recompiled using the following command in the bin directory
    ojspCompile.pl compile -s 'LaunchApex.jsp' retry
    Now my current jsp file has the following contents
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" %><%--
    /* LaunchApex.jsp */
    --%><%@ page
    import="java.io.*"
    import="java.net.*"

    if (ctx==null) {

    String cookieName = ctx.getSessionCookieName();
    boolean validSession = ctx.validateSession(cookieName);
    WebRequestUtil.setClientEncoding(response, ctx);
    %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Launch Apex</title>

    String p_application = request.getParameter("application");

    p_item_values = ( p_item_values==null ? "" : p_item_values);
    AppsEnvironmentStore m_env = (AppsEnvironmentStore) ctx.getEnvStore();
    try {
    String l_launcher = ctx.getProfileStore().getProfile("OAE_LAUNCHER");
    l_launcher = l_launcher + "/pls/apex/f?p=" + p_application + ":" + p_page;
    l_launcher = l_launcher + "::APPS:::" + p_item_names + ":" + p_item_values;
    if (ctx!=null) ctx.freeWebAppsContext();
    out.println("Apex Launch URL : <a href=\"" + l_launcher + "\" target=\"_blank\">" + l_launcher + "</a><br/>");
    } //try
    catch (Exception e) {
    out.println("Exception found : <pre>");
    e.printStackTrace(new PrintWriter(out));
    out.println("</pre>");
    } //catch
    %>
    </body>

  • B2B integration with EBiz for a custom positional flat file

    I have installed SOA 11g with the latest patch. I am confused with my setup since I could not find any good example for my use case. I get a positional flat file from my trading partner (VDA4905). I have done the following so far:
    Created Document Definition : Custom, version 1.0, type PO with identification type as "flat". I have given the first 3 characters of the file to contain "511" as the identification value.
    I have created trading partners, host listening channel (folder as /tmp/b2b) and agreement. Validated and deployed the agreement.
    I created a dummy file with first 3 characters as 511 and put it in the /tmp/b2b. The file is not getting consumed and I see the pretty standard error "Agreement not found from TP is null".
    My questions are:
    1. When I created the document definition, do I need to specify any xsd or ecs file? Since I am using positional flat file, is this mandatory?
    2. I changed the name of the dummy file in the "FROM TP_HOST_seq.txt", still see the same issue.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Shanthi

    When I changed the file name, it gets consumed. Regarding the file name, I have the following question:
    I get the files from different plants and the file names are different for each plant, however, the processing is the same. If I need to have file name in %From TP%_%SEQ%.txt this format, do I need to create multiple TPs such that the file name maps to TP name? Can I use the same agreement for all these dummy TPs that I create?
    Is there anything I can do, to consume all messages in a specific directory irrespective of the file name?
    Thanks
    Shanthi
