ADF messages in locale Catalan

Jdev. 11.1.1.4
Does anyone know if ADF messages are also in "Catalan" language. It is an european local language.
Or anyway to look for it.....
I'm translating an application to his language and have found that some System messages appear in English while I have the local in catalan.
For example, in the validation tooltips, in the upper side appers "Enter a number between 0 and 99", while the downside of the message apperar my bundle message in catalan.

Timo,
It's correct, the catalan locale is ca.
What I'm finding in my application is that custom messages based on resources bundle are correctly appearing in catalan, but system ADF messages are appearing in english.
for example, I have an inputText field with shortDesc:
shortDesc="#{viewcontrollerBundle.GRADO_STANDARD_GRADO_DE_TECNOL}"
and a validation like:
<af:validateLongRange minimum="0" maximum="4"/>
When I click inside this inputText field, a tooltip appears with two messages: in the lower side appears the sortDesc message in Catalan, but in the upperside appears the validation message "Enter a number between 0 and 4" in english !
How is that possible ? Perhaps one locale could be different of the other ? I think that if ADF has its messages translated into Catalan, this message should appear in catalan....

Is there a way to move Messages and Local (not synced with iCloud) notes from old iPhone to new one ?

Yes, it will. You cannot merge information on the phone. If you want the old messages, you will need to restore from a backup of the old phone, which will make the new phone look just like the old phone. If you want to save the messages from the new phone, you will not be able to get the messages from the old phone.

  • ADF Isn't localizing the af:inputDate into French

    Hey Guys,
I've got an <af:inputDate /> and the value is displays on the screen isn't being localized into French. This is quite odd since, the error pop-up when I enter an incorrect date is being localized.
Erreur: Le format de la date est incorrect.
Entrez une date avec le même format que l''exemple suivant : Sunday, November 29, 1998As you can see, the error message is localized but the suggested date isn't.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
You might have a formating-locale set in your trinidad-config.xml that messes it up.

    Hi,

Is the account a POP3 or IMAP account? A POP3 accounts allows you to download messages from the server and select when you want them to be deleted from the server. You can change when in the Advanced settings of the account on your iPod. Never is a common setting if you also want to access the messages from another device. An IMAP account remains synchronized across different devices. If you delete a message from one device it gets deleted from all devices. I suspect your Yahoo is a POP3 account since mine is. If the Advanced setting has a never delete from server it is a POP3.

  • Possible Bug: ADF Message displays behind Applets

If you have an applet on a page form (such as multiple upload control) and send an ADF message (either manually or from the system) it shows behind the applet such that the applet blocks the message.
Please let me know if there's any work around.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
what is an "ADF message" ? Do you mean ADF Faces message? If it appears behind the Applet then this seems to be an issue with the Applet tag rendering such that the DHTML used in ADF Faces is hidden. This is less an issue with ADF Faces RC than with the Applet tag if you ask me

Right my point was this is standard logging and you can control it.
As it happens the only warnings I get are from com.sun.faces.* - You'll have to ask Sun why they are putting out at that level.
I don't know why the Filter errors are coming up - that is not normal and suggests that there is a configuration problem
    The particular message:

  • Replies often go to wrong SMTP when message in local folders

This happens for me when replying to a message, M, in the
    following cases:
    A: M is in a local folder.
B: The To and CC fields do not match the receiving account.
Previously the reply went to the right place, presumably
because the SMTP server was looked up through the
    X-Account-Key field.
I have verified that the X-Account-Key lookup should work.
    In my case, X-Account-Key matched "id3", "id3" matched "smtp3"
and "smtp3" match the expected SMTP server.
However, a different SMTP server was chosen for the reply.
It wasn't even the default server!
I have verified that when the To or CC field matches the
correct account (i.e., in my example, the account for "id3",
the correct SMTP server is chosen.
For mailing lists the To and CC fields seldom match the
    receiver's accounts.
    Thanks for your help,
    David A.

Further to what I said originally. It looks like it's using item #3 in "mail.smtpservers"
    mail.smtpservers; smtp3,smtp2,smtp1,smtp4,smtp5
It should be using smtp3. This happens to be default smtpserver.

  • Messages from local folders get corrupted when the folders are moved to different location

    Hello,
I have several local folders with thousand of messages. Normally I store them on a mapped network driver so my local folder configuration in Thunderbird is like Z:\emails.
I needed to move the local folders to my computer and what I did was copy the whole folder "emails" from my network location and reconfigured Thunderbird local folder config to C:\emails - basically same as before but on a local drive. Restarted Thunderbird as requested by the application.
(I should mention that I've done this exact procedure before(but not recently) and it was working fine. )
Anyway, when I did that I could see all my local folders however when I attempted to access any of the folders Thunderbird would perform "rebuilding index..." automatically which ends up in that all the messages in my local folder are marked as "unread" and they have no header - no subject or sender or people in cc, no attachments. If I attempt to see any of the emails I can see the content of the email(the written part anyway) and instead of the normal header I see the technical information of the header that looks like:
    X-Mozilla-Status: 0001
    X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000
    X-Mozilla-Keys:
followed by "Send - (for example "muder [(unix socket)])", "Received", "Scanned" "Certificate", authentication and other technical information.
Currently running Thunderbird 31.0 on W7 Pro x64. As I already mentioned I've done the above procedure several times before but not recently and since then I've updated Thinderbird at least a couple of times so I assume the problem is caused by something in the newer versions.
    Any help would be appreciated.

wdseml files are provided for the sole purpose of allowing windows limited search to search mail. They form no part of your mail store in Thunderbird really and constitute a total waste of disk space unless you are in the practice of using windows search to search your mail. Something I simply do not understand as Thunderbirds search is superior in my view.

  • No messages in Local Sent folder

I have setup Mail to NOT store sent messages on the server. According to the help file when using an IMAP setup, as I am, I should be able to have a local copy on my computer of items that are sent:
To save sent messages for IMAP accounts:

To store copies of messages you send on the mail server, choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, and select an account. Click Mailbox Behaviors and select “Store sent messages on the server.” _*If this option is not selected, sent messages are stored on your computer and you won’t be able to see them if you check your mail from another computer._*
Yet if I disable the save sent messages on the server I can find NO sent messages in any folder in Mail on the local computer. If I ENABLE save sent messages on the server a copy of all sent messages is correctly saved on the server.
Thunderbird correctly stores sent messages locally on my computer with the same exact IMAP settings and account, so I know that saving sent messages locally works with my IMAP configuration.
Obviously, I could do an automatic CC on all sent messages, and see if I can create a rule to automatically move those messages to my local sent folder, but that sure seems like using a sledge hammer to swat a fly approach.
Does Mail not really do what I want, or do I have something messed up?

I just enabled the "store messages on server" selection on my mac mail for the same issue. I wanted my sent items viewable on all computers as I had before. I think it must have changed during the "mobile me" switchover.
Now that I have made that selection, all my "sent" mail disappeared immediately, but I found it all further down in my Left Column folder area, in a section called " On My Mac" I found another sent messages folder. They all went there from my .mac account, when I selected "store a copy on server" . I have now sent off my first new message from my .mac account, and it shows up as the only "sent" message, on all computers with my account. All the other messages are in the other folder, described above.
Definitely something changed with the "mobileme" migration and it's not quite right. It's light starting over again.
But in my case the messages are there, just in a different location.

  • ADF Messages and background color

I'm using the ADF components and I need to know how to change the background color the the af:messages component.
It's currently tied to the accent background color in the xss file, but I would like to make it something else. Anyone know what style to change in the xss file?
    Thanks.
    - Jeff

Yeah, that skin selector will apply to all buttons with those classes. If you need to limit the styling based on EL, I would do something like this
    styleClass="#{condition ? 'trueClass' : 'falseClass'}"
and in the skin this should be specific enough
    af|commandButton.trueClass {}
If not, you would have to do something like this, but not 100% sure if that dot shouldn't have a space before it or be a colon possibly off the top of my head
    af|commandButton:text-only.trueClass

  • ADF UIX 2.2.20 + ADF BC: russian locales problem

    Hi all,
We are using Oracle 9.2, ADF UIX 2.2.20, ADF BC on JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0
Tables of business entities have secondary field "Author". This field contains the name of a user, who has changed data in the table. After authorisation the name of user is stored in httpSession, and put into table using uix code:
    <set target="${bindings.Author}" property="attributeValue"
    value="${sessionScope.loginName}"/>
Some of users have russian letters in their names. Sometimes (about 1200 of 70000 rows) during commit russian letters are "lost" and replaced by "?" sign in Oracle table.
This problem happens on Oracle iAS 10g and TomCat 5.5.12 application servers, and on HP-UX and Linux RH.
    I found topic
Re: Form Auth and Russian Language
and message from Jonas there, but link doesn't work//
Could anyone give an idea of how to solve this problem?
    thanks,
    Renat

    Dear Sir...
i faced a similar problem with the arabic charactors. What you should check is two things:
1- The database charactor set should support russian.
2- The encoding of the pages in JDeveloper should support russian.
if you open any uix page and look at the source you probably will find the encoding equal to windows-1252. you should change it to russian encoding (which i do not know what it is).
you should install the russian language in windows, reinstall jdeveloper, then change the encoding of jdeveloper to support russian.
    i hope this helps.

  • Exchange Mailbox is full but can't archive messages from local machine...

This is a very complicated problem with many issues & confusions. When archiving my Exchange account locally on my Mac, the server keeps syncing the messages back to my Mac! Ideally I would like my MacBook Pro to 'lead' the sync rather than 'combine'. I have tried many options including setting up a 'rule' which didn't move a single message! Also I tried copying all the messages, placing them in a local file & then deleting them from the inbox. But anything over around 10 messages, it just doesn't work! I have around 3000 messages I need to archive & cannot do it ten at a time. Also if I try using the web account on a browser it only allows me to move around ten at a time...! I am running 10.9.4 using Mac Mail.

Hello Csound1 & thanks for your speedy reply! I have tried your idea before, & also again just now. I did exactly as you described. Even though when you 'paste' there is no indication apart from the EDIT button on the menu bar flashing! I then deleted locally, (not on the exchange web browser) & they flipping came back again! I am now trying a smaller amount of emails (half of August 2013, instead of whole of August) Also my Mac Mail crashed three times so I guess I was just trying to do too many at once? Do you know if there is a limit? If the only way is to do a small amount at a time I will have to set myself a two weekly reminder & do it manually - what a pain!
Also is there an explanation why the 'rules' don't work with Exchange accounts? I set it all up perfectly with anything older that 168 days, anything with me cc'd or in the 'to' field etc. But not one message moved!!
Really appreciate you taking the time to look at this it has my boss & IT manager stumped! They're trying to make me use Outlook which I hate :-(
I hope my description makes sense?

  • Can't login to messages on local network

I can still log into messages (through bonjour) on wifi , but when i try to do it via computer to computer network with people in the same room - it says there was a connection issue with bonjour and gives the little tilde looking symbol. messages over computer-to-computer  worked fine with mountain lion. i have seen a lot of comments about issues with messages on mavericks - but nothing with this specific error. Any thoughts?

    HI,
In a Finder window's side bar do you show the Bonjour computers ?
These are in the Share section when the Finder Menu > Preferences > Side Bar has th Bonjour Computers item ticked.
This will tell you whether the computers involved can "See" each other in the first place.
The Bonjour account in Messages (or iChat) makes use of the same connections on port 5353 to start the process.
This will add the "Buddy" to your Bonjour Buddy List.
The Bonjour part of Messages then uses other ports to send text, files or do A/V connections to those "Buddies".
I would check System Preferences> Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab to make sure at least one DNS server appears. (ones from your ISP should appear greyed out - although some routers list themselves with 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x)
Try adding a Public DNS server if nothing is showing.
The appearance of the other computers in the Finder's Side bar should indicate the router is allowing Local Data Traffic  (you only have to open or allow ports to the Internet).
