ADF Mobile- Jdev 11.1.2.3 Carousel

Hello everyone
I have a datacontrol which returns a List<MyBean> and this MyBean has a List<OtherBean> as an attribute also,
I want to build a carousel in which the size on List,<MyBean> determines the amount of the carousel Items
and the List<OtherBean> is the detail of each of the Items of the carousel like a header-detail way.
the OtherBean have descriptions that I want to show inside one carousel Item
but when I drag the result as you can see in the image (link below) it only shows me the attributes of MyBean, but nothing
for OtherBean, how can I also show the OtherBean attributes in the carousel?
In the images OtherBean is calificacionDetalleList2 (image>> 01.jpg)
01.jpg: shows datacontrol and what shows when I drag it to the page
02.jpg: shows the available attributes (no OtherBean is shown)
03.jpg: shows the code generated : from line 19 to 29
04.jpg: shows the pageDef file that was generated
I hope I provided all of the needed info
Here are the images you need:

Thanks you very much.

I wonder if you can use dot notation to go one level further down in the hierarchy in the EL. Using the EL editor might help you figure out the syntax to get to the lower level.
For the record the basic way to work with the carousel is here: https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/setting_up_a_carousel_component

    I installed JDeveloper 12.1.2.0.0. In order to test the environment, I built a very simple ADF Mobile app, and deploy to the Android emulator (Android 4.4.2 (API 19)). The deployment always failed on "Creating Android preferences XML files...". Anyone knows?

  • ADF Mobile does not show up on the list of extensions in JDev

    I can't find the ADF Mobile template or add it in 12c.
    Am I missing something here?

    Hi,
    ADF Mobile only exists for JDeveloper 11.1.2.4. The 12c version of ADF Mobile will ship with JDeveloper 12.1.3 which has not been released yet

  • ADF Mobile: Dynamic action calls based on a listView item selection

    I've currently got some supporting data that provides the "name", "description", an "image", and a "navigation" per row.  I populate a listView based on this collection and assign the name to the list item text, the image to the list item image, and I am attempting to create some dynamic navigation to the next mobile page based on the value of the "navigation" in the data.
    I attempted to use #{row.navigation} as the action for the listItem, but I am getting an error "Cannot find property row" at run-time when I click on an element.  I know the row data for navigation is correctly there because I can feed the #{row.navigation} into the listItem's text property and it shows up correctly there.  I also made sure that the value in this navigation corresponds to a valid action in the task.
    Is there another way to do this?
    Jdev 11.1.2.3

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Thanks for a quick response.
    I think I'm missing something since it did not populate any value.
    Here is what I did based on the code you provided.
    I've created dynamic action on field Type to execute a javascript code you provided when the value in this filed changes. The output or the items(s) affected is set to Address1 field. I didn't change the code except replacing the the actual value of Type and Label.
    Then I went to Address1 field and on the 'Label' I put the code <span id="dynamic_label"></span>. It returns nothing.
    Am I missing anything? Am I suppose to change something else as well.
    Your help is really appreciated.

  • How to install ADF Mobile extension to JDeveloper on OSX 10.8.2

    Using the info from the following discussion thread it was pretty straightforward to install jdeveloper to OSX 10.8.2.
    Re: Jdeveloper install on os x lion (10.7.5)
    as well as the blog posts
    http://adf4beginners.blogspot.be/2012/10/installing-jdeveloper-on-mac-osx-108.html
    https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/installing_jdeveloper_on_mac_os
    Now the issue is that when I try to install the ADF Mobile extension I run into problems:
    I tried installing both directly from the update centres as well as from local file, but the
    only extension available after restart is the "ADF Mobile Help" (oracle.adf.mobile.doc).
    I can also see from the startup console a lot of warning messages of type as indicated below.

    thanks,
    you gave me the courage to move along, and I stumbled across some info
    (should have given a link here, but not able to find the most correct one right now)
    As a matter of fact it seems like several postings in blogs and discussion forums touch this area.
    Just wonder if we could smooth this process a bit.
    issuing this command sequence, did the trick:
    sudo mkdir -p /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    sudo ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/classes/classes.jar rt.jar
    Then for jdk location I selected
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Contents/Home

  • Unable to install the ADF Mobile extension inJDeveloper version  11.1.2.3.0

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install the ADF Mobile extension using JDeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0. I have tried following options -:
    1.) Install extension from Official Oracle Extensions and Updates . Help->Check for Updates->select Official Oracle Extensions and Updates->Next ->ADF Mobile ->Next ->Finish->Restart Jdev
    2.) Downloaded ADF Mobile extension zip file and saved it in local drive.Then Help->Check for Updates->Install from Local drive.
    On restarting the Jdeveloper when i tried to verify the installation, i'm unable to see ADF Mobile framework in the Extensions tab. Plus i do not see ADF Mobile option when i go to create a new application.
    I have tried to install the extension atleast 8-9 times still no luck.
    Please advice what could be the reason why installation is getting failed.
    Regards,

    1.)Installed JDeveloper version 11.1.2.3.
    2.)Install extension from Official Oracle Extensions and Updates . Help->Check for Updates->select Official Oracle Extensions and Updates->Next ->ADF Mobile ->Next ->Finish->Restart Jdev
    Still no luck. I'm unable to see the ADF Mobile in extension tab.
    Is there any other method apart from installing from Update center or Install from Local File. Can i directly copy the content of adf-mobile_bundle.zip in the extension folder in Jdev ?
    Please advice as i have been strugling to install ADF Mobile extension.

  • Issues in ADF mobile application using Trinidad components

    I am facing the following issues when developing a mobile application using trinidad components :
    Jdev version : 11.1.1.6
    1) I dont see a date component using trinidad components? The dev guide http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e10140/sup_comp.htm says that tr:inputDate is supported but when i try to drag a data field to jsf page i don't see an option for Trinidad date component. so i went ahead and created an af:inputDate in the page. But the date selection dialog doesnt open up.
    2) i tried using 'Rendered' for conditional rendering of a component but it does not work or refresh immediately, the same problem is solved in my adf application using visible property but looks like there is no 'Visible' property for Trinidad components. any work around?
    3) i wanted to have a 'create insert' call in my task flow before launching the page. Since Task flows are not supported in ADF mobile application, i have added 'ADF Faces' also into my project and created task flow and jsff page as i do for a adf web application the only diff being the usage of trinidad components in my jsff page. is this fine? Also can we mix trinidad components and adf components into the same page?
    4) I have a tr:inputText on a clob input text field which i am updating in ADF page using a clob converter class. Same thing i cannot do for trinidad text as it is resulting in null pointer exception. any solution to update clob fields into database which uses tr:inputText compents.
    Help to solve any one of the above issues (by quoting serial no) would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • ADF Mobile: Deployment Error: MessageDigest SHA-1 implementation not found

    Hi,
    I was trying to create and deploy a test application as outlined in the online tutorial for ADF Mobile:Android
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/MobileTutorial/jdtut_11r2_54_2.html
    After I hit Deploy to emulator, it fails with the following exception:
    trouble writing output:
    [07:01:26 AM] java.lang.RuntimeException: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: MessageDigest SHA-1 implementation not found.
    I have successfully deployed applications developed from Eclipse with Android extension on the same emulator.
    I tried manual cmd line deployment of the generated apk file
    I got [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES] error first.
    I then followed the instructions in the below post to create a keystore, sign the application and again deploy the application
    signing error with abt deployment with ADF Mobile and java 1.7
    I got the following error.
    C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb -e install -r C:\Jwork\TestApp\deploy\ANDROID_MOBILE_NATIVE_archive3/testapp.apk

    Hi,
    At this point, we really have not fully tested out JDK 1.7, and we rely on Android SDK to actually compile the app. Any way you can add JDK 1.6 to your machine, and configure the Android SDK to use JDK 1.6?
    Thanks,

  • JBO-27122 error in ADF mobile client application for blackberry

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a simple ADF mobile client application for blackberry. Currently, working only with Blackberry 9700 simulator. I am using the following for development:
    - Jdev 11.1.1.3
    - Oracle database lite 10.3.3
    I have done all the steps as given in the oracle demo. But when I try to run the application in blackberry simulator, the page shows the following error:
    ERROR: failed to change page
    oracle.jbo.server.DBTransactionImpl.createPreparedStatement: JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation. Statement: select po_header_id from po_headers_all where po_header_id=1

    Please suggest what could have been wrong while developing or deploying the application.
    P.S. : The view object (header) shows data successfully when run in the application module. Also, a .db file gets created in the SD card folder. The synchronisation is a success when mSync.exe file is run in the <Oracle_Home>/Mobile/Server/Sdk/bin.

    Sorry my content got repeated.
    you can go through this thread FOD mobile db sync with base adf server db not working

  • ADF Mobile: WebService data control method call with array

    JDev 11.1.2.3
    ADF Mobile deployed to Android emulator
    Hello All,
    I am trying to invoke a method in my Web Service data control and get the following exception
    Caused by: ERROR [oracle.adfmf.framework.exception.AdfInvocationRuntimeException] - Cannot serialize: [I@1dbae822

    <element name="acceptTask">

                <element maxOccurs="unbounded" minOccurs="0" name="taskID" type="decimal"/>
         </sequence>
       </complexType>
    </element>For the input to my binding, I have tried int[], Integer[] and List<Integer>. All of these result in similar errors.
    I have also tried invoking this through a regular ADF application and that works fine with an int[]. It looks like something specific to the ADF Mobile SOAP layer.
    Is this a bug or a restriction in the framework? Any workarounds that has worked for anyone?

    No luck. A WS DC method call with a simple parameter (java.lang.String or java.lang.Integer) works fine but I can't get it to work when there is an array input.
    I have tried WS methods with int arrays and simple string arrays without any luck. All of them result in a cannot serialize error.
    I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Are there any working WS Datacontrol samples with array inputs?

  • ADF mobile Data sync and sql lite usage

    Hi,
    We are working on ADF mobile POC.(Jdev version 11.1.2.3.0)
    Following Oracle mobile developer guide we generated "Webservice data control" which creates process(object) method to work with Webservice. We created the data-controls and used them in our Java code and are able to get the Webservice response also.
    However we want to implement the offline mode feature and for this we are not able to get any document reference for implementation.
    With offline mode support is it the application's responsibility to store the data locally using SQL Lite and do the data sync (using Web Service) OR will the framework would do the data sync automatically. Can someone please provide the implementation hint on how to do the Offline mode support in the mobile application using ADF.
    Thanks
    Pavan

    Hi,

    This is all you. In this version of ADF Mobile there is no automatic data synchronization between local data and the server side. The sample that come with the ADF Mobile extension have a SQLLIte example as well, which is in the HR application. Look for the "DBConnectionFactory" file
    package application;
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import oracle.adfmf.framework.api.AdfmfJavaUtilities;
    public class DBConnectionFactory {

        public static Connection getConnection() throws Exception {
            if (conn == null) {
                try {
                    // create a database connection
                    String Dir = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getDirectoryPathRoot(AdfmfJavaUtilities.ApplicationDirectory);
                    String connStr = "jdbc:sqlite:" + Dir + "/HR.db";
                    conn = new SQLite.JDBCDataSource(connStr).getConnection();
                } catch (SQLException e) {

                    // it probably means no database file is found
                    System.err.println(e.getMessage());
            return conn;
    }The LifeCycleListenerImpl class in the same demo shows how to use this SQL Lite connection
    package application;

    import java.io.InputStreamReader;
    import java.sql.Connection;

  • ADF mobile: Reuse taskflows for different device models (resolutions) ?

    Hi,
    ADf 11.1.2.3.0 + mobile extension.
    What's best practice to create the same mobile app for different device models (= different screen resolutions = different layout)?
    I mean an app on a smartphone may use different gui components and layout than on a tablet device.
    In adfmf-feature.xml the content of a feature can be either a amx page or a task flow.
    Here I can add a constraint to determine e.g. the device.model and use different amx pages depending on the device model.
    But how to reuse the task flow (assumtion: the taskflow is independent from the device model) and just create specific amx page per device model?
    regards
    Peter

    Replying to an old thread.
    With ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.0, to display different content views for different devices,  it is recommended that we use following property as a constraint on the content of the feature.
    Property
    Operator
    Value
    hardware.screen.diagonalSize
    more
    6
    It applies this constraint on the devices which have screen size more than 6 inches. Which is applicable for the tablets.
    For more details, look at the HR sample found at the following location in your JDev after installing the ADF Mobile Extension

  • ADF Mobile Client : Error while trying to import javax.microedition.*

    Hi,
    JDev throws errors at compile time when I try to deploy a sample ADF Mobile Client application.
    These errors are related to javax.microedition.io.* imports.
    Error(11,29): package javax.microedition.io does not exist
    Error(12,29): package javax.microedition.io does not exist
    Error(180,9): cannot find class HttpConnection

    Error(191,42): cannot find variable Connector
    Error(250,49): inconvertible types
    Error(303,40): cannot find variable HttpConnection
    Any pointers as to how these errors could be resolved?
    Is there a JDev Wireless extension that should be installed to resolve these J2ME related errors?
    For JDev 10g, I could locate one such extension called JWE here : http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/iaswe/archive/developer/index.html
    I could not find any similar extension for JDeveloper 11.1.3.

    Hi, just want to make sure - did you install the ADF MObile Client extension yet? Please go to JDev-Help-Check for Updates-Official Oracle Extensions and Updates, and find Oracle ADF MObile Client Extension in the list. Check it, download it, and then restart JDev. Sounds like the extension was not installed, so it's not able to load any J2ME libraries.
    If you have downloaded the extension already, please go to project properties-libraries and classpath, and then see if the sample app is referencing some third party libraries, for example something from RIM. If so, please double check the path to the library.
    Once you installed the extension, you can also access the ADF Mobile Client developer guide - it contains all the documentation around what you need to install first. Please take a look and see what you need to install - at a minimum, you need to install BlackBerry JDE if you want to deploy to BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile Emulator if you want to test the app on Windows Mobile. Lastly, if you need to synchronize data, then you also need Oracle Database Lite MObile Server installation.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

  • ADF Mobile sample - palm simulator and jar problem

    Hello.
    I got a few problems with ADF mobile tutorial. (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/tutorials/wireless/mobile2.html)
    1.     Palm Simulator has no web browser.
    As per description under ‘Prerequisites’ I downloaded the newest Palm Simulator (and some older version too). My Palm Simulator has no web browser. I found nothing how to add or enable web browser. In tutorial screenshots the Palm Simulator has always a browser.
    Where can I get a Palm Simulator with web browser or where can I get a free PPC Simulator for testing my application?
    2.     Incompatible jar-files.
    I’m using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4.3673. I think this is the newest version. Mobile.zip contains adf-faces-impl.jar and jsf-impl.jar. Both files have version 10.1.3.0.5. JDeveloper contains this files too. But version is 10.1.3.0.4! On starting oc4j I got an error with information about this version conflict.
    What is wrong on my environment? Did I miss important files? I found no newer ADF files at oracle web site. My solution is to replace the files in Mobile.zip with the older files from JDeveloper.
    With best regards
    C. Schmülling

    Hello Christian,
    The Palm simulator doesn't include a Web browser by default, You have to install it> Here is the URL where you can download the software: http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/webbrowser/
    Concerning the jar-files it shouldn't be a problem. Just use the jar versions delivered with the Mobile.zip and it should run.
    Regards
