Adobe Acrobat Reader via OLE, Problems to understand...
Hi,
i have a little problem to understand how the OLE API works...
Here is what I mean:
1. Load a Document (No view)
2. Findo out the page size
3. Close the document
I can start via:
$OLE$AcroExch.Document.11
But i did not become an object to load the document...
What is the right way for that?
The API reference is not a help for me on this point...
Best Regards
Bernd
Here is an easy? Problem?
What is wrong?
The problem is: "Acrobat.AcroAVDocClass..."
I will only open a PDF File in C#...

Integration of SAP with MS Office & Adobe Acrobat Reader using OLE
Hi Friends,
I have to integrate MS Office 2003 and ADOBE Acrobat reader with SAP very much like that demonstrated in SAPRDEMODOCUMENTCONTAINER program given in the control examples by SAP. But the problem is, the code I am developing and even in the one given by SAP has some problems in them. They are:
(1) When a MS Word or any application is opened, many of its attributes are
disabled like CTRL+ N for opening new document and CTRL+ O for opening
an existing file and many others.
(2) When I try to open an existing file using the recently used list, it is opening in
a new window but my requirement is to open it in the same window in which
the application frame is displayed over SAP screen.
(3) I am following the same procedure that is used in the above said example and
unable to understand the way methods of the inner most interface are implem-
ented like method CONTAINER_CONTROL->CREATE_DOCUMENT that is
called from within I_OI_DOCUMENT_PROXY~CREATE_DOCUMENT method. I
am clueless how it is working.
Please guide me how to solve the problem along with some good reference material that you can suggest me to study.
Thanks & Regards
Aditya P. SrivastavaHi Adiya,
You need to pass the parameter 'open in place' to word file in same window.
CALL METHOD DOCUMENT->OPEN_DOCUMENT
EXPORTING OPEN_INPLACE = 'X'

Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 printing problems.
I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 with the following information ,and I have problems printing in system configurations (I have an old Brother HL-1060 Laser printer)....
When I use the following defaultprinting preferences, the pages come out blank when printing riffmci.pdf (That can be found on the net):
- Resolution 600dpi
- 1200x600dpi Support: Off.
When I set the resolution to 1200dpi and 1200x600dpi Support to on the printing completes successfully. Is this a known issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader printing engine??

Can't print via Adobe acrobat reader!
I can not print via Adobe Acrobat reader even though all other application work well with the printer and there is no hardware or connection problem involved.
the printer is: HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fn Color Multifunction Printer
The same thing happened to my outlook but I fixed it by reinstalling the printer software,
I think reinstallation is not the way of fixing it, does anyone have the same problem or can help me?Hello
I understand you can print from all other programs except Adobe acrobat reader.
I have included a document to troubleshoot this issue for not being able to print pdfs.
Check your version and select the appropriate one to proceed.

How does one fix error message "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
If it is running, please exit and try again. (6:6)http://www.essexinfo.net/queens-road-residents-association/assets/documents/village-voices is one example but a whole lot of the material which has been uploaded as pdf files over the last four years is now unviewable - if you click on the link you just get a black page. The main site url is http://www.essexinfo.net and our site is the Queens Road Residents Association. I have just gone through every link on the site and a number of links when clicked on will not bring up the material. I tried going into Adobe 10 on my computer and disenabling protected mode as was suggested on your forum and at first when I went back into the essex info site it seemed to have worked when I clicked on a link that had only produced a black page. However when I went back to test all the other links I found that the problem was still re-occuring. This is really weird as the site and my connections to it which I sometimes make by directly accessing the site and sometime via a link from our QRRA blog have always worked perfectly with no problems up to now. I downloaded adobe 10.1 on 8 March 2011.
I contacted essexinfo separately but they said everything seemed to be OK at their end working from within the system.
If you can help I would appreciate it.

There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
I have XP professional, IE 8, and Adobe Reader 9.3. When I try to open any pdf files from a web page I see the following error: "These is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again. "
Although, the web pdf rendering returns an error, I'm able to open pdf files locally.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
MikeI had similar problems with Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Reader 9.3 and I uninstalled AR 9.3 and went to:

We are getting the following error "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)" and a gray screen appears (Image not viewable) with multiple users. We are using Adobe Reader XI (11.0.05) and (11.0.06). The current workaround is to log off the website and log back in. Once the user logs back in, the pdf will appear. However it occurs anywhere from 2-8 times in a day. Anyone else having this issue or know of another workaround? Any suggestion with how to fix? Please help!!
Hi Valerie,
Please let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader & operating system installed on your computer?
Also, try this:-
Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
From the menu, choose Edit -> preferences -> General
Uncheck the option for "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
Restart the Adobe Reader and web browser.

Hi
I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
What can I do?
thank you a lot. There is no product called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. There is
- Adobe Acrobat Pro ($$)
- Adobe Reader (free)
Which do you have? And are you a programmer? -
Acrobat plug-in.
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.See if you can find a NPPDF32.DLL files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)
You can see the installed plugins on the about:plugins page.
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/about%3Aplugins
You can set the pref plugin.expose_full_path to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.
It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
You can open about:plugins and about:config via the location bar, like you open a website (about: is a special protocol to access some build-in pages).
If you get a warning when opening the about:config page then you can confirm that you want to continue.
See Manually uninstalling a plugin:

I got the following pop-up when I tried to open an online PDF file:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.
I tried many time, and it really doesn't work.
The plug-in I have is Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280After I upgraded to Firefox 5, I had the same problem and I did a work around temporarily. I went the tools menu, then Add-ons, then clicked the "Plugins" on the left side (4th one down). I "disabled" both Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.536 using the disable buttons on the right side. PDF files now open again. However they are outside the actual browser.
My guess is that Adobe didn't catch up yet with a new update to work with Firefox or vice versa.
Hope that helps!

MartinI don't know what this means. All I can suggest that you try updating your old Reader version to the latest (10.1.9 or 11.0.6).
