Adobe Connect Crashes During Adobe Presenter Upload

Windows 7/Adobe Connect 9/Adobe Presenter 7.07 Build 7754/PowerPoint 2007
Adobe Presenter technical support tells me it's an Adobe Connect problem because I can pubish inside Presenter without a problem.
I have uploaded numerous PowerPoint presentations with quizes over the last few years without a problem. The problem seems to have started when I got a new computer with Windows 7 (old was XP Pro). The error I get is either the classic Internet Explorer 'page cannot be found' or the presentation gets to Connect but with the stock Request Not Processed.
Here's what I've done to troubleshoot:
Tried same process using using Firefox and Chrome and still get the errors
Created one single powerPoint page without any formatting - a title slide with 'Text' in both fields and this works
Tried an unformated (text only) full PowerPoint presentation without the quiz and it gets the Request Not Processed error
I did not try quiz only for seemingly obvious reasons
Your thoughts will be duely appreciated!!! TIA!!! The training I develop is essential to our quality standards.

It sounds like a network issue. You say you have connected in different locations, did you connect in a location where others were not having the issue? Could your IT staff work with you to identify why you may be having connectivity issues?
If everyone was experiencing the problem, then I'd be inclined to say it was an issue with your Connect account, but being isolated to you, it seems like the problem may be local. Sometimes wireless routers get overwhelmed in busy environments, and may cause some individuals to see temporarily lost connectivity. Other times it may just be a wireless router going bad. If you are hard wired, then it may be router that is beginning to fail. Be sure that when you test other locations, you are connecting to different hardware.
Since you are running the add-in, I don't believe the browser should make any difference.

  • Web module crashes during export OR upload (Mac OSX 10.5x)

Been happening more and more for some reason. The number seems to not matter, though typically there are 700 to 1400 images to either export or upload - and both crash LR. I'm on a Mac (OSX 1.5x) running LR 3.2. Actually, we're running TWO macs, and I can't upload from either one without at least one crash. Plenty of memory, large drives, files are from a Canon 5DII (dng). I'm starting to wonder if my Wacom drivers are to blame? Or if there's a bad file mixed in?

Anybody have the beta for LR3 before purchasing the final version?  I've had all kinds of issues caused by Adobe's beta programs, both the public ones and private betas for PS CS5 and PSE.  Wondering if that might be contributing, but really i can't figure it out and its so frustrating.
Given that you've had problems with other apps I think you would be best looking at the operating system for the source of your problem. First place to look would be the Console Logs to see what info is contained in the crash logs.

  • Keynote crashes during a presentation every time  ;/

I have a presentation which has about 70 slides. The presentation has been done with Keynote on my mac and I have worked and changed it a bit on keynote on my iPad. The latest updates for keynote have made the app so bad, it crashes so often mostly however, during a normal presentation just playing on my iPad.
Keynote simply crashes and I am back at my desktop / app screen. This programme became with the last updates absolutely useless for me. I can not use it for work anymore.

    Hello oliver007,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like the Keynote app unexpectedly quits. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

  • IPhoto 08 Crashes during Web Gallery upload

I have been having trouble uploading a second Web Gallery to my .Mac website. iLife 08 installed fine and I was able to upload one Web Gallery but I have attempted to upload another and each time I upload the crash occurs.
There is approxmimately 400MB of photos and movies taken with a 7.1 megapixel Sony camera in this Web Gallery (all imported from camera using iPhoto). I don't think that 400MB could be consideredn as being too large that it causes this problem.
The biggest pain is that after the crash the whole 400+MB of photos have to be uploaded again from scratch, nothing is saved on the server. Is it possible to allow it to save uploads as they progress so this doesn't happen?
    TIA

    D2C:
Yes you can. Go to iPhoto's Preferences and in the Web Gallery section you can rename the gallery title.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • IPhoto crashes during print order upload

I can get as far as uploading the photo to the print dtore, but before it starts uploading iphoto crashes 'unexpectedly'.

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. With information, s/he may be able to get your issue resolved sooner.

  • TS3642 Crash during a cloud upload=Lost data?

I back up my files to the cloud very often, but now I feel weary about it. I sent a song I created to the cloud and GarageBand crashed in the middle of it. When I reopened the app, I saw the song needed to be downloaded from the cloud (which I thought was strange) but I clicked it anyway, and 10 min later, nothing. I tried to download on my phone, nothing. I checked the cloud storage for GarageBand under settings, and it show it and the file size, but can not be downloaded. I have lost 2 songs this way. I can't download them because they didn't finish uploading and the info is truncated I guess. This is a major flaw! And there's nothing I can do about this? Does anyone know of a way to retrieve this?

    Hi
I have the same problem that occured the same way. Two songs that were recorded with live instruments have been lost.
Was using iCould as a backup mechanism and it's now "lost" the songs.
Really annoying and I haven't found a way round it yet.

  • Crash during Hardcover book upload to print services

    Hi Folks,
After speding a lot of time creating my book the past few days my Mac hung while uploading the book via iPhoto. A complete kernel panic I'd say. Only solutio was to power off and on again. The only key that reacted was the CAPS LOCK. I couldn't bring up the Activity Monitor.
My main issue is my card has been charged €74.00 and the upload didn't complete. A support call is scheduled for tomorrow. I don't have enough funds left in the debit card to try again.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Surely payment should't be taken until the upload is verifed. Never had a problem with Apple products until today.
    Q.

That's a know problem with iWeb, usualluy with XL books.  The workaround is to boot into  Safe Mode and do the ordering from there.
However, before you order the book create a preview PDF of it in the Safe Mode to check for any errors before ordering. This Apple document explains how: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it

  • LR2 Crashes during SFTP / Web Image Upload

Anybody else have LR2 crash during the image upload?
    I'm running 64-bit Lightroom 2 in 64-bit Vista Ultimate.
When uploading using SFTP, LR2 will create the directories, but crashes during the image upload portion.
I went back into the server settings and ONLY changed SFTP to FTP (passive is default) and clicked Upload again and it worked fine.
I have used this server since LR1 and have not made any changes since prior to LR 1.4.1
    Anybody else tried SFTP yet?

I'm running vista ultimate, intel e8500, 8gig ram, evga 8800GTS video. I can't get LR2 to start at all. It crashes every time I try to run it.

  • Can I upload PowerPoint directly into Connect without using Adobe Presenter?

I have a PowerPoint file (.ppt as well as .pptx) and the slides are fairly simple - mostly bullet point lists in Arial or Calibri font (nothing wild and crazy).  When I upload the content directly into the Connect envrionment, the formatting of the slides (in the share pod) is all wacky.  Instead of it sizing the slides to fit the share pod, the bullet points go down past the bottom of the pod and cannot be read.
I was told that the only solution to this is to purchase Adobe Presenter and publish my PowerPoint files (using Presenter) into Adobe Connect.  That is not an option for me at my company.  It seems like uploading a simple PowerPoint should be a basic feature of Connect without having to download/purchase Presenter licenses.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Below are a few images in case this is not making sense.  If anyone has advice, PLEASE let me know.  I cannot possibly using connect for virutal training if slides look the way they do below.  Thanks!
The first image is the PowerPoint slide
Here is what it looks like in the Share Pod:

    Thanks Robert,
I tried to ask Adobe for a short list of supported / unsupported fonts but the tech kept telling me he could not give me that information.  I thought I tried Arial to no avail but I can do so again.  Just reformatted everything in Garamond and it worked fine.
    Thank you again.

  • Adobe Connect will not allow presenter to share their screen

    Hello,,
    I need your help.
I had to cancel a virtual Photoshop users group meeting last week because Adobe Connect had some problems with allowing our presenter to share his screen.  By the way he was using a Mac OS.
We could hear him but Connect crashed every time he tried to share his screen.  We tried on every browser to include Safari. Opera, Firefox and Chrome.  His bandwidth was impeccable for a home user at 63 megs/sec .
Any suggestions and help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for taking the time to assist on this.
    Stephen Burns

    Hi Nikhil Sharma,
We had another Connect meeting today and I need some insight from you on Adobe Connect.  For the last 3 meetings that I conducted using Adobe Connect my presenters audio just drops away in the middle of the guest’s  presentation.  This issue has been consistent for all of my Thursday evening meetings.  By the way, my presenter’s bandwidth surpasses the expected speed that Adobe Connect requires.
I have used Adobe Connect quite a bit and love it but my last 3 User group meetings were frustrating due to the presenters audio just dying .  Once again, all had more than acceptable bandwidth. Most were 30 gbits on up.  One person was 60 and higher and the same thing happened to them.
During the meetings I have myself and one other person as hosts  and our audio is never affected.  It’s only the presenter who is affected.
Are the User group managers being limited to a certain bandwidth?  I have had this consistent issue for the past 3 months.
What do you think is most likely going on?
I hope that you an assist with this.  My cell is 901 494-0553.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Adobe Presenter 8 Video Creator crashes when publishing

After capturing a video and demonstration using Presenter Video Creator, I am able to edit the video, choose whether I show talking head, demo, or both.  The program seems to record everything as I would expect.  However, when I attempt to publish, it goes to 5% and then gives me this error: "Application encountered an internal error."  It does not matter if I try to publish to my computer, adobe connect, or anything else.  I see so many great possibilities for this product, but if I can't publish, then it is completely useless to me.  Does anyone have a fix for this?
Adobe Presenter Video Creator version: 8.0.1.260, 64-bit
    Thanks,
    JJ

Are you getting the internal error during publishing? or is there any other issue with the Video creator.
Can you explain the whole process at which you are getting the internal error?
The latest graphics driver provided by Intel is of version (6.14.10.5437) dated 2/13/2013.
Did you downloaded and installed the driver by traversing through this link http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm
Did it throw any error while installing the driver?
Please mention your system name and identification number, i'll check whether your system manufacturer is providing any new updates for your graphics driver.
Also mention the name of the camera you used for recording.
Please make sure you are following the below checklist for recording any new video.
This is a general checklist that should be followed before using Video Creator.
Are your video card driver is up to date? Please check whether you have the latest driver from the manufacturer’s site.
    Are all unnecessary applications closed?
Do you have sufficient free space on your hard disk? At least 5 GB is needed, but around 15 GB is recommended.
Are your webcam drivers up to date? It is recommended to install the webcam driver from the webcam cd or the webcam company’s site.
Are you capturing your video in a well-lit environment? Most webcams perform poorly in bad lighting.

  • IE8 crashes during print to Adobe PDF (Acrobat 9 Pro)

IE8 and MS Paint both crash during print to Adobe PDF.  Neither an update to latest version of Acrobat 9 Pro (9.5.3) nor running repair installation will fix this issue.  Operating system is Windows 7 SP1.
Installed third party PDF Printer so that these two apps can print to pdf.
    Any ideas?

The reinstall is typically the last ditch effort to do. The first step is Help>Repair and Help>Updates. As far as Office 2013, the PDF Maker of AA X is not compatible and you can only print. In your list of errors it showed a problem with AcroTray.exe. As a first step, go to the print and select print-to-file. The file will be a PS file (maybe with a PRN extension). Once the printer if finished, open the file in Distiller to complete the process. If that is successful, then the problem is with AcroTray. Check your running tasks to be sure AcroTray is indeed running. If not, that is likely the problem. If it is, then restart it (it is located in the Acrobat folder). AcroTray provides the interface between the PS creation and Distiller to automate the process of creating the PDF.

  • Synchronising video to slides in adobe presenter/ adobe connect

    HI All,
We use Adobe connect for live webinars.  Our client now has prerecorded video of the presenter and wishes us to synchronise the powerpoint slides to play along side the video.  This is usually done as a live event with us using a live video feed and the presenter forwarding the slides within Adobe.   They wish to recreate this using pre recorded footage.
If we do this manually, (i.e. load up the slide deck and video to the room and manually forward the slides whilst playing the video in a video pod) synchronisation is an issue due to buffering at the viewers end.  The Slide deck slowly gets further and further behind or in front of the video until it no longer makes any sense.
If we put the video and powerpoint in to a single video slide we loose resolution of the powerpoint.
What we would like is to use Adobe presenter, thus keeping the resolution of what are quite busy slides and having the talking head clearly present.
Any ideas?    It seems synchronising with audio is standard but not with video.  Ideal would be to replace the photo id image with the video.
Sorry but any replies that suggest not having the video or making the slides less busy are not helpful ;-)
    Thanks in advance

The two suggestions I would put out there are:
    - Reach out to Adobe Support about the recording sync issue. They may be able to resolve it. Adobe Connect Help | Adobe Connect Support
    - Look at Captivate. It does a much better job of handling the addition of video to a presentation and allowing you an easier path for syncing video and the presentation. This is a monumentally dificult task in Presenter.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.
    Thanks!
    Dana

Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?
