Adobe / Digital River - scammed my Credit card ???

One week ago, I purchased adobe photoshop CS5 upgrade from CS2 from http://shop.adobe.com/id (I'm from Indonesia)
The listed price is Rp 2,130,336 ( thats around US$ 239 ) and because theres a promotional 20% discount,
the price becomes Rp 1,704,268,8 ( thats around US$ 191 ).
I got the product, got a serial number ( from digital river ), everything was fine until a couple of days ago,
when I try to use my credit card, it got rejected. Contacted my bank, they told me that my last two transaction
with adobe drains my Credit card limit.
It turns out besides the US$ 191, adobe charged me with another transaction which cost Rp 172,131,149 ( thats around US$ 19,340 ).
I contacted adobe customer service but it doesnt help much. The guy from customer service opened a support case but I have no reply
from any adobe representative whatsoever.
Contacted my bank, they told me I need to contact adobe and they need to check with adobe regarding this US$ 19,340 purchase which
I never made. So I have no idea where to report this case to? Adobe? or Digital river? If you're an adobe employee please help ?
I can give you proof of purchase, invoice and everything you need about the purchase that I made, but not the one I didnt made.
This is a nightmare.. I now have a horrible big debt in my credit card bill, all because I shop online @ adobe.com

OK, here's the final update on the situation:
Other than hearing „sorry for the situtation” the chat with the Adobe representative solved nothing for me.
Adobe kicked me out from Creative Cloud for no reason, while my credit card was ready to pay the monthly fee.
To be able to continue my work, I was forced to sign up for a new annual commitment, before I was able to finish my previous subscription arrangement with Adobe.
And Adobe is still blocking minimal sums on my credit card for all of my desperate credit card updates that solved nothing, but were my exact obligations as a Creative Cloud subscriber!
In situations like this saying „sorry” is not enough.
Once again - shame on you Adobe. I was so enthusiastic when Creative Cloud was introduced, now all the worst scenarios you could imagine are actually happening.

    If you have a subscription to a PAID program, removing your credit card information would cause that program to stop working when you stop paying for your subscription

  • Adobe Support cannot update my credit card

    I have a 6 person team on a CC account. We moved our shop to a new location and had to update our billing information. Your support team in India cannot update my Credit Card information.
    I called as soon as I got the message through CC that there was a problem. Here we are almost a month later after multiple attempts to update my CC# information now my "team" is not able to work today. 5 people without the ability to use your product. (my product - because I am a shareholder as well).

  • Adobe won't charge my credit card and shuts down my Cloud today

    Hi,
    I've updated my payment info several times this week, beacuse my Cloud apps give me warnings that I haven't payed and my subscription is about to expire. The card info is there, the card account has enough funds to process the transaction, yet today, in the middle of an important project, Adobe is shutting down my Creative Cloud even If I did everything to pay my subscription.
    Several people reported this issue on the Creative Cloud forums. No response so far. And the saddest thing is, that this is the only way to contact Adobe about this. No contact form. No chat line, although there is a page for it. Nothing. No one from Adobe will respond to resolve my urgent problem.
    I was a vocal supporter of Creative Cloud since day one. First the credit card and user info leaked out, now this issue with payments - you totally killed the experience for me. Shame on you Adobe.
    I know smaller companies that caused less trouble for their clients, and what they did is they offerd everyone months of free subscription.
    You can apologise in a email, but this time the apology won't be accepted. This has gone to far.

  • What to do when Adobe is wrong about a credit card being inaccessible?

    That is the full question.  Adobe says there is something wrong with my credit card for their monthly payment and yet there is nothing wrong at the bank.  But Adobe makes it impossible to just call them and find out why.  They just send to to one of their robot pages where they want you to change to another payment method.  I will not do this unless they tell me what the problem is.  I just need a direct connection with their billing or payment department to find out what they see about this card that they can't use.

  • Adobe CC keep asking for credit card detail despite already have

    I already have my credit card detail on my profile since I purchased CC and used for about a month.
    But now when I launch any app, a window pop up and keep asking for my credit card detail.
    I followed the link and found my credit card detail already exist. I try removing and adding again but this windows still persist and counting down.
    How can I solve this? I have to use Photoshop everyday and can't work if it is disabled.
    FYI, my credit card is valid and have enough balance and is the same one I used to purchased CC.

    I would like to contiunue to use Photoshop, I have only aprrox 20 days left. I need to receive an invoice to the company where I work. I cannot be taken from my credit card. How can I do?

    Adobe provides an email version of the invoice. You could ask if that would suffice or a printed copy of that email. If they want the email, then I would think the subscription would have to be in the companies name.

    Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 WILL NOT STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Adobe's system is set up to make it VERY difficult to stop charging your credit card AFTER you cancel, CALLED and CANCELED, call and CANCELED AGAIN
    Our annual accountant caught that the charges were still being charged.  Our book keeper (my spouse) thought that Abobe was one of our systems charges and it did not raise a flag until October 2014.  We canceled at the end of MAY 2013 when our off site designer at their own office said that illustrator was better for him for the work we need and we no longer needed to use PSD .  Month to Month means you can cancel when you want.  The agreement is very clear that we can cancel PRIOR TO THE RENEWAL DATE.  ADOBE PS  is a great program, we love it, we DONT love being charged for 27 extra unauthorized months 29.99 = 809.73 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.  Adobe can see the service has NOT been accessed or has not 1 minuet of use time on any dat for 21 months.  When they did not cancel I had a 1 hour 25 minuet RECORDED conversation to cancel the service in November of 2013.  I was assured this time it was canceled and refunded.  We trusted the manager we spoke and did not see the charges for  Our accountant whom filed our personal taxes first week of October 2014 for Tax Year 2013 discovered the charges were still there.
    We have called in October 2014, November 2014, December 2014, January 2014.  Our company attorney said to dispute all charges from first date of cancelation.
    A friend with the SAME issue of Adobe charging after canceling recommended this forum.  ADOBE ARE YOU READING THIS ???

    1) I ordered ONE Month to Month January 4th 2012, got a confirmation that it was month to month but they said it was for ONE DARN year.  I fought for weeks to over turn that.  We only need the program for a few hours every 7 to 16 months.  We cancel the minuet we are done using it.
    We were over charged 9 MONTHS at 29.99 they reimbursed 2 months.

    18) February 27th 2015 I was given this forum to try to bring attention to ADOBE and the horrible awful practices they have.
         Adobe will see that not one single minuet of time has been used of their online access from our account.

  • A serious complaint about credit cards and Adobe

    I have just upgraded to master collection, and this has not been easy nor has it been clear. various people have been involved and none have been able to clear the matter. I was originally quoted a price which turned out to be connected to an "educational offer". One Adobe staff member took my credit card details yet they didnt send any further communication about the order. I am suspicious about this. I managed to get our IT company to circumvent the process and spent in excess of "the quote". I have not been able to log in to the area they suggest to escalate the problem due to it being"unavailable" since October (screen shots available).
    I feel that there is something not altogether correct or legal about what is happening here, and am currently discussing with UK Police Fraud Investigation about this, as you simply cannot take credit card details and not respond. Apparently the site has been down since October 16 2012, today is November 9. How am i supposed to respond?
    Having been a customer for 2 decades I see how matters are out of control and desperate with Adobe.
    I have given you (Adobe) several hours of my time trying to sort this problem and yet there is no resolve as yet. No one called me back (as promised) - probably due to the fact that my contact number was (and has been for years, even after correcting numerous times) WRONG. Indeed, I gave Ranbir (Adobe agent) my correct number several times, but zero response.
    I have paid you over the odds, I would like an answer. I am glad that I didnt invest in any of your other "schemes"

    Firstly, what a relief to have an understanding mail/response regarding this, thank you.
    OK, the main point lies with the order on 10/16/2012, which was verbally placed (credit card details etc) and we were given the (again verbal) delivery date of "2 days" which wasn't confirmed by email.  It became impossible to have this situation understood, and also worrying that we'd handed over details like that in good faith to Adobe.This phone conversation took place on the morning of the 5th November with a view to completing all the upgrades on the Friday due to work schedules.
    As we could not get a response from anyone within Adobe, I was forced to purchase "on the day" in order that we didn't suffer major interruptions to our work. We contacted the UK distributor (CU), and explained this situation  and they could only agree to selling to us at retail price, which we had to do, thus incurring courier costs as well as the huge amounts of telephone time - unproductive. Repeating time after time the same things, and being promised a "call back".  I established a relationship with one operator who managed to inform me to send in my receipts to consider "some kind of compensation". These i have submitted 3 times now.
    Thats whats happened in a nutshell, and it really hasn't been anything near a good experience, I am sad to say. I now have a fully paid upgrade CS6 Master Collection, but at a considerably higher price (in more ways) than i expected, and the concern over credit card information is a huge worry!
    The addresses and contact information etc problem,  has been a persistent, decade long, "repeating exercise" which, hopefully now will be resolved , as everytime our company has to upgrade, its a real chore - which it shouldn't be. You probably have seen all our Photoshop licenses, and see how far back our history goes.
    I have to say, I felt completely defeated and negative about the whole experience, and seriously welcome a simple discussion/resolve to it

  • How can I add a second authorized user to my installation of Adobe Digital Editions?

    I have initially installed with one user.  I have purchased a digital book using my credit card and id from Barnes & Noble.  I can't open the content without proper ADE authorization.  How can I add another user authorization to ADE?

    Paul, if you used one ID to install ADE, you cannot download an ebook from
    a site into ADE if you used a different ID.  That's the way the Digital
    Millenium Copyright Act of 2000 was implemented to prevent unauthorized
    copying of ematerials.  ADE tells you that in its HELP section.  You can't
    add a second ID to ADE either, for the same reason.
    What you CAN do is to change users, and authorize ADE with the same ID you
    used when you downloaded the ebook.  You do this by bringing ADE up, then
    using the CNTLSHIFTD key combination, you will deauthorize ADE.  Close
    ADE and reopen it, and ADE should ask you to authorize it.  At this point,
    you can enter the second ID, and ADE will take off from there.  BUT, keep
    in mind that any other ebooks you downloaded into ADE with the first ID
    will not be accessible until you go through the same process again and
    revert to the first ID.

  • Trying to update my credit card for Creative Cloud account but chat support is always repeating the same thing?

    I'm just trying to update my credit card info for my Creative Cloud account, it's been 6 times I've contacted chat support.
    Every time they repeat the same questions & answers over & over.
    "What's the name on the card?"
    -I give it to them.
    "It will take 4 to 5 hours to update."
    -I wait a day, same problem, then contact them again, same question & same answer. They don't give me a reason or any indication why my card didn't get charged.
    I re-phrase my questions, always same answer:
    "Your payment details are updated, your account will be activated in 4-5 hours."
    Are they robots?
    Is there actually somebody on the end of the chat, is it possible to talk to a supervisor or someone that could help me give you money so my account doesn't expire?

    Well, today my tools are going to be deactivated because my account is expiring.
    Still no solution or feedback on the status of the issue relating to the fact that my valid credit card is stuck in a processing limbo in their payment system.
    The biggest lesson learned is that subscription software & cloud based services are too risky for a professional production pipeline.
    Imagine if I had employees and a huge deadline this week, I would have to explain to my clients that the reason I can't deliver is because Adobe can't process my credit card for whatever reason, and they deactivated my tools.
    Now, I probably won't be able to work today but at least this situation as forced me to re-evaluate how I'm going to build my new workflows and those of my clients.
    I was actually planning to convert my video production pipeline to Adobe Premiere but now, it's guaranteed I'm staying with Final Cut.
    Same thing for my photo retouching & motion workflows, I'm stripping out every Adobe Cloud tool from it.

    Login to store/site to update credit card.
    No link or page on which to update credit card.
    How do I update credit card if there is nowhere to do it?

    1.- http://www.adobe.com
    2.- Click on 'My Adobe' (upper right corner underneath the search box)
    3.- Once you are in 'My Adobe' look under My Products and services and click on 'My subscriptions and services'
    4.- Find Creative Cloud membership and click on Active on the right side
    5.- A new pop-up window will come up and you can edit away just click on EDIT BILLING.
    or you can call Adobe's horrible customer service and hope they understand the reason you call about and all of this in the hope that you got thru after waiting for hours at a time, their number is 1-800-833-6687

  • Credit card problems?

    It seems that Adobe still cannot master its credit card processing system for subscriptions given the number of complaints in the Forums  but still will not offer a Direct Debit system except in Germany. 
    Direct Debits are would be easier to manage for Adobe and more secure for the subscriber. Remember that recurring payment agreements on credit card are difficult to either cancel and/or retrieve payments claimed in error by the trader (confirmed to me by Visa last week).  So I will not subscribe to CC until the risk of Adobe's credit card system go away, until a time limit can be put of credit card contracts or until Adobe offers its Direct Debit system more widely.
    (I also note that it seems that Adobe restricts comments made on credit card problems to its own staff.)

    I solved that with a pay pall account.
    you can make there a account with your credit card and pay then for that app.
    But dont forget to check your credit card bill. they can charge you for trying to buy the app.
    I have buy 3 times for one app without receiving it.
    The solution that i did with paypall worked perfect!
