Adobe Flash Player 9 Windows 2003 Enterprise x64 - Nav Buttons don't do anything

I'm curious if anyone has run into this out there. I'm using
the latest flash player, Windows Server 2k3 x64, and trying to
click some buttons which are characterized by the following:
<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="https://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6, 0,29,0"
height="24" width="140">
<param name="movie" value="*">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<param name="FlashVars" value="*">
<embed src="*" flashvars="*" wmode="transparent"
quality="high"
pluginspage="https://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="24" width="140">
</object>
where * in the script are the url locations. The same buttons
have been verified to work on Windows XP and Windows Vista. I
dropped the IE security feature as well as all security features
down to there lowest possible setting with no luck.
Has anyone else seen this or does anyone out there have any
ideas on how to get 2k3 to function like the rest of the OS's?

As it turns out, another Windows 2003 machine is able to
click through the buttons..so this topic changes to ...does anyone
know what security or privacy feature may be hindering the ability
to click through these buttons?

  • Frequent Fails when installing Adobe Flash Player (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, and Windows 8.1)

    Constantly see the following error message from Adobe Flash Player Installer:
    Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again.
    What in heck does that error message mean?
    This message occurs most of the time when I try to update to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
    It would be one thing if it was only occurring on Windows XP, but it shows up on Windows 7, Windows 8.0, and Windows 8.1 frequently.
    Just for curiousity looked at the Windows 8.1 Event Viewer and NO error message shows up there.
    Would be nice to:
    (1) know what the error really is so that it can be reported to you to get it fixed once and for all.
    (2) have Adobe Flash Installer NOT to delete itself every time that the installer is run.
    (3) have an OFFLINE download installer to download and install Adobe Flash Player without the MacAfee installer.
    (4) have Adobe UNCHECK that the Install MacAfee installer that you have to opt out of each time you do an Adobe Flash Player download. You should make it to OPT IN not OPT OUT! Don't need another program installed without my permission. This causes issues when I have to uninstall MacAfee on computers that others in my family use.
    It seems to takes up to 20 times to download the Adobe installer over a period of many days or weeks to get it to install properly.
    I have written software for over 36 years as a computer programmer and now Senior Software Developer. I have do installers on my own and have to figure out how to solve my own issues on the installers to get them fixed.
    This issue doesn't seem to be tied to any particular version of Windows... Same issue occurs on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, and Windows 8.1! The ONLY commonality seems to be Adobe Flash Player.
    Certainly Adobe should be smart enough to fix this issue once and for all.
    If the issue is that there is a network congestion error that it cannot download the installer, please say so and please please please DO NOT delete the downloaded installer every time that it is run on a PC.
    I'd like to fix the security issues with the Adobe Flash Player AS SOON as there is a patch for it. I don't like having security issues over a long period of time.
    Please address this issue so that I can put this to bed and not have to keep sending you messages that once again the Adobe Flash Player Installer is yet again broken!
    Certainly you have a staff at Adobe that CAN fix this problem quickly!

    more information about errors can be found in the FlashInstall.log file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash (and the SysWOW64 equivalent on 64-bit systems)
    the offline installers (below) do not delete themselves
    you can find the offline installers
    Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
    Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    the offline installers are not bundled with any 3rd-party crapware

  • Flash Player - Windows 2003 Terminal Services

    We have terminal services users that are unable to use the Adobe Flash Player in their web browser. They keep getting the prompt that they need it.  The administrator can view it even in terminal mode.  I have done the user install, Add/Remove Programs option, changed the Registry keys to allow everyone read permissions and even full on the hkey classes root.  It appears that new users that connect can view Flash correctly but existing users that already had profiles can't still.  Any other ideas? Thanks for the help.

    Did you ever get a resolution to your issue?  I have the same issue
    .  I have tried following these steps

    but the registry keys are different for Flash Player 10.  I cannot find the correct key for version 10.

  • I still am not 100% operation from a crash I think due to those ADOBE FLASH PLAYER windows that pop up if I view videos at sites like youtube. How do I eliminate those more permanently? Please help if you are able? Thanks

    I am led to think that those Adobe flash player popup boxes are big trouble? I would like to know how I can eliminate those from my computer, they block my view right in the center of my screen.
    Please help me through? Thanks David Breaux

    Hi, I understand. I think they were an older person not so familiar with computers and I was doing my best trying to get them to start their own thread. They have done that, so you shouldn't have any more posts to yours.

  • I can't download Adobe flash player, and it keeps telling me to. Is there anything else to use besides Adobe flash player.

    I can't download Adobe flash player, and it keeps telling me to, especially to watch videos, is there anything else to use besides Adobe flash player?

    You would download Flash from here http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH however if your running an old version of Mac OS X say 10.5.8 or earlier then you cannot run the current version of Flash which is 11.3
    Remember you not only have to download Flash but you have to run the installer.
    Some websites that use Flash might tell your computer the site needs a specific minimum version of Flash and as above if your running too old a version of Mac OS X then you will not be able to run a new enough version of Flash.

    Hi
    Flash Player may fail to install if the Windows system
    registry is damaged or if you do not have the correct permissions.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11 not working on Internet Explorer

    Hello, I know this has been a question most people asked but it's not that simple for me
    My computer is a Samsung Series 5 Laptop, with Windows 7 Home Premium K 64Bits.
    The computer specs are as shown below:
    DualCore Processor 2.2Ghz each with a 8 GB RAM. I put up a screenshot of it in the attachments (Sorry it's in Korean)
    The problem is the fact that despite having successfully installed Adobe Flash Player, Korean websites do not show the areas where the Flash Players are involved!
    I checked where most people look at first: I enabled shockplayer on the addon (Shockwave Flash Object), not to mention disabling Direct X Filtering
    THe problems persisted... I checed my Java and it was up to date, not to mention working fine. THe interesting thing is some flash objects are working. THe places where
    adobe flash player is involved in www.naver.com or uic.yonsei.ac.kr  shows up BLANK!
    It works fine in Google Chrome. It even works fine for some websites in IE 9 such as http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/new-fantasyland/ (I just tried this one, it's not a website I go to)
    But somehow websites such as http://www.adobe.com/kr/products/flashplayer.html itself doesn't show flash player linked images/videos!
    Here's proof of that (note that I right clicked on the blank spot to prove that the space is not meant for blank but for adobe flash as shown in the last option)
    If there are more things I should elaborate on, please comment below!
    I'm looking forward to a solution to my problems as well as hoping to talk to some really good Computer-Know-Alls
    I really need to understand my computer better to avoid such problems T.T

    Oh and just to show how things look like with the problem, it's like this:
    And this is what it's supposed to look like:
    So yeah, the whole space just turns empty - I can still click on blank spaces and it leads me to the appropriate links (though I have no clue what links I am actually clicking on in IE9, it only shows up for google chrome
    I'm looking forward to constructive replies~ Hopefully someone would see this soon

  • I'm having trouble with installing Adobe Flash Player

    everything I using on the web tells me I need the update for Adobe Flash Player-birthday cad sites and such... So I install it but instead of just finishing step 3 - install complete - I get an advertisement for an additional application for $9.99 a month - which I have no need for so I just close that tab window.... I've tried restart, shut down, and a few other things but to no avail.... go to the site I want to send from and I get the same update message - but no viewing of the card or product I 'm looking for....  anyone know what I need to do?
    I've search it out through Finder and it is in there in applications all of them (apps) from 2007 to 2015 - something isn't right.... right?
    can you guys help?  thanks, ohyes

    The big Step 1 button that says Install doesn't install anything. It downloads the installer to your Mac. Note that Step 2 tells you what to do next:
    To proceed, open your download folder and locate the Adobe Flash Player Installer file, named like "AdobeFlashPlayer[xxx]_install.dmg”.
    The file you'll find there should be named:
    AdobeFlashPlayer_17_ta_install.dmg
    Double click the .dmg file to open it. You'll see this:
    Click the "Install Adobe Flash Player" package. When the installation is done, you can close this window and dismount the .dmg file by putting the "drive" icon that appeared on the desktop in the trash. You can then delete the .dmg file as you no longer need it.
    The Step 3 Adobe shows is completely pointless.

  • Downloaded latest version Adobe Flash Player, Won't run.

    D/L adobe flash player, windows 7, 32 bit, but computer won't run it.  Checked add-ons, registry, etc.  Any ideas???

    Flash Player is a built-in component of Google Chrome, so there's nothing separate to download or manage.  It might be an easier option.
    http://www.google.com/chrome/
    Otherwise, what browser are we talking about?  Do you have any add-ons like AdBlock Pro or Ghostery that might interfere with how Flash operates?

  • Help Adobe Flash Player

    Have tried numerous times to download Adobe FlashPlayer and keeps asking me for password which I changed and still says it is wrong, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

    You may also want to try the UNinstaller before trying to install again:

    then after you're done cleaning up try

  • Adobe Flash Player for MacG5 (10.5.8)

    Where can I find Adobe Flash Player software to install on a MacG5 (10.5.8) PC Processor? (I was told by a rep that I could purchase CS5.5 with my OS version, and of course, it doesn't work. They didn't mention the "processor" requirements!)

    You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
    Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
    Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!
    Or I put up the smaller ones here...

    The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a later version installed.
