Adobe Forms Object Creation in PDF document dynamically

I have the following scenario: I have database of questions and answers, i need to build a webdynpro application that generates a PDF document with the content of this database, but in a dynamically way, for example i have one question like "What is the best color in your opinion?" and four answers like "Yellow, Red, Blue, Gray", i need to take all the questions and the answers from the database and build the PDF form. What are your recommendations for these case? Is there a way to generate a Topic and for these topic 4 checkboxes in a dynamically way?
All these data come from ECC.

Hi Bruno,
You can add or remove subform instances dynamically from your form.
BodyPage1.Subform.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
Create one subform, that has 4 RadioButtons and 4 InputFields, bind the inputfield with the options.

Print Adobe Form AND Save a PDF file

Hi Experts
We have a situation where I need to print the output of an Adobe Form (printing only, it is not dynamic) that is generated during the dispatch process. In this case it is a Picking slip, but the same will apply to other documents. Currently, this works well - the output is produced and sent to the correct printer.
A new requirement by the business is that they need an audit copy of this document. This document needs to be saved in a certain folder on a file server. I know I can do this by using the getPDF setting of SFPOUTPUTPARAMS, and I have done it before for other applications.
However (and this is the question!), it seems that when I set getPDF, the print output does not appear anymore. Can anyone explain to me how to produce BOTH print output and a file copy of the PDF at the same time please?

Problems activating an adobe forms object / lifecycle designer

Hi everybody,
our developers are getting more and more problems when they try to activate an adobe forms object in SAP.
When they click on the activate icon, SAP freezes – and after 3-4 minutes of waiting, SAP displays, that e.g. 105.570 bytes were transferred, but the document remains inactive.
So by now they need about 5 attempts before it finally gets activated…this is very time consuming and frustrating.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem?
Any ideas?

In the TF do like this..
view activity A-------dialog:invokePdf------->view activity B (invokePdf)
Fragment A command button would be

in the action add a return like return "dialog:invokePdf";
Control flow outcome is "dialog:invokePdf". B would be just a empty fragment.

Duplicating form fields from one PDF document to another

Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to select and duplicate all acrobat form fields from one PDF document into a new PDF document. I know I can do so one field at a time but would like to know if there is a way to do so in a wholesale fashion.
Our PDF documents are created in-house each year and are nearly the same as the previous year's document containing 99% of the same form fields in the same locations. These forms contain a lot of form fields, anywhere from 50 to 100 fields.
Rather than start from scratch each year defining the same fields that were present in the previous year's document, I am looking for a way to copy the form fields from an existing PDF document (last year's PDF in our case) and copy the form fields into a new PDF document (that does not yet have any form fields defined) and hopefully maintain all the field attributes and positions from the previous years document.

The PDF template we need to copy the form fields "to" doesn't start out having any form fields. It is the fields that we need copied from a previous year's PDF template.

The "new" PDF template is a complete "paper" form with updated legal text and calendar year referrences but NO form fields. We serve them up to the user in their browser pre-populated with their application data.
So again, our need is to find a way to copy form fields from "last year's" PDF template and copy just the form fields to an fresh "new year's" PDF template that contains no form fields to begin with. What we begin with is just a PDF representation of a paper student loan application.

Try if you can do everything you need with PDF Pack; otherwise keep Acrobat Pro.

Problem with adobe reader while faxing a pdf document

hi all
i am working with a windows application (.net windows service) to fax pdf documents periodically. when i started the service the first time the document was sent and next time onwords it is not at all sending fax . when i restarted the system then a screen appeared and saying like ' adobe reader 7.0 was encountered a problem '.

If you save your form as Static PDF, it works.
But most of the time we need the Dynamic XML form. So, I am also stuggling with this issue.

Inserting objects from one PDF document to another in Acrobat XI

When I copy objects using "Edit Text & Images" and insert it to another document, objects are insert in any place of document, but when document "A" have view "Fit to screen" and document "B" have same view and I copy object from A and insert to B, object in B will insert to same place (exact) how it was in A. It works fine in Acrobat 9, 10. It didn't work in Acrobat XI (11.0.3). Does any know how to fix it?

After installing Adobe Reader 9.1.3, PDF document referenced in an IFRAME won't display

My company writes software that generates PDF files and then displays them in either a FRAME or IFRAME. For one of our customers, for the users that have Adobe Reader 9.1.3 installed, if we programatically set the src of an IFRAME to a PDF, the content of the IFRAME just stays blank. But if they browse elsewhere from within our software and try loading the exact same PDF document in a FRAME, it loads fine. Our customer's users that are experiencing the problem are running on Windows XP SP3 using Internet Explorer 7 with Adobe Reader 9.1.3.
I've installed 9.1.3 on my Windows Server 2003 developer machine and I do not experience the problem. I had the customer send me screen shots of all of the IE settings in the Advanced tab and for the appropriate zone in the Security tab. I changed all of my settings to match and still could not replicate the problem.
I'm not sure what else to have the customer try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In case anyone else runs into this problem, I wanted to make sure that the solution got posted. When comparing all of the Advanced Settings and Security Settings, one thing was missed. Our customer was accessing the site using https while in our attempt to duplicate the problem, we were not. The setting that was causing the problem was the Advanced Setting of "Do not save encrypted pages to disk". If that is checked while browsing to a site using https, the described issue results.

Using "save as" in Adobe Reader to save a PDF document in Alfresco

Is it possible to use the "save as" option in Adobe Reader to save a PDF file directly in Alfresco?

I have a requirement where at the header I am printing the address and below that other contact detials of vendor. I have used standard address element of adobe forms and printing it on the form using a variable.
When my addres contains 3 lines only in that case other contact details which are below address varible should dynamically move up.

How can reduce the above spacing bet two variable. Please help me in getting the solution for this issue.

You can concatenate the 2 variable and display it on that field.
data.Page1.<field>.rawValue = Concat(data.Page1.<field1>.rawValue , "\u000a" , data.Page1.<field2>.rawValue)

Adobe Form - Object property for FormCalc/Javascript

I'm learning to use Adobe Form - FormCalc/Javascript - In some of the examples that I have seen fofar
the codes (FormCalc/Javascript) used a qualified name of an object property for setting value i.e.
In FormCalc:
DateTimeField1.rawValue = num2date(date(), DateFmt(3))
In Javascript:
this.rawValue = xfa.layout.pageCount();
pantsWaist.border.edge.color.value = "255,0,0";
pantsLength.presence = "hidden"
etc..
Could someone please tell me how/where I can get the property list that available for an object ?
(i.e. rawValue, presence, value etc...) I can't see on the Form builder (sorry for such a novice question - but as I said I am very new)

Whenever u press a "." after any oject say $ in FormCalc, or this in Javascript u will find relative properties that u can set at that time for the mentioned object.
try this, place a Text field, select that and go to script editor, select language FormCalc:
write $. and u will find a dropdown that'll show u possible list of properties u can change.
Similarly, if u try this with "this." in JavaScript another dropdown will show u possible list of properties that u can change.
