Adobe forms which has 3 internal tables

Hi.
I am developing a adobe forms which has 3 internal tables
1 u2013 multiple lines table
2- multiple lines item table
3 u2013 multiple lines item table
I want to pass the above 3 internal table to Adobe forms and print it.
Also the data records can be many in each internal table.
I want to display the contents one after other.
How to do.

Whether one table or more same aproch. Follow this for each table you have. Within a "flowed" subfolder create a table with 1 row (heading, footer if needeed). Bind the entire table at the table level. Bind 'data' fields to the row fields. Make sure you indicate that the table and rows are to repeat for each item in table.

How to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?

Hi guys,
I created an Field Symbol, in a Interface which I use for Adobe Forms. The type of the Field Symbol is STANDARD TABLE, and this field symbol I fill with data from another program.
But the problem is that in adobe forms, this Field Symbol is taken as TEXT FIELD and not as Table... and this shows me a Dump because it can't convert Internal Table to type C (the dump is like that).
What I need, is how to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?
I looked at Adobe Form, and found this:
The Type Category of the Field Symbol is DICTIONARY TYPE and I think I need to change it to Internal Table as shown in the right picture.
Does someone have any idea?

To what i understand your requirement, you need to pass data from Field symbol to internal table in Adobe form.
You have done it correct partially. I have replicated your scenario and steps are below -
1) Create a Z structure
2) Create Z Table Type
3) Create Adobe Interface with Table & Field Symbol. Also do coding as shown to assign the internal table populated in driver program to filed symbol.

How to create a form which has browse option ? Then how to upload the data from the excel file to table in Oracle DB?

I am new to Oracle forms. I have a requirement where user wants a form which can be used to browse a excel file from his/her system. Also after browsing the file the user should be able to load the data from the file to a table in the Oracle DB.

ALV GRID Report is not showing all records which is in internal table

hi all,
have one doubt. please clarify me. ALV Report is working fine since long tiem. But suddenly this report is showing few records only for the given input.   Example:   it_main table have 50 records, but output is showing only 10 records only. (we have not made any modifications in this report).
temporarily i have given excel output file from it_main table. excel file is showing all records.
here it_main have all the records. but output is showing few records only. it is not showing any error. i have tested with REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY function also. but it also showing same results(few records only.)
please give me some idea.

I need to delete the field-symbol (an internal table) record.

Simply do this
TABLES : vbap, ekko, ekpo.
data : it_vbap type table of vbap.
field-symbols : <fs> type standard table,
<fs_wa> like vbap.
SELECT-OPTIONS : s_vbeln FOR vbap-vbeln MODIF ID vbe,
s_posnr FOR vbap-posnr MODIF ID vbe.
select * from vbap into table it_vbap.
assign it_vbap to <fs>.
loop at <fs> assigning <fs_wa>.
delete <fs>.
endloop.
Inside the loop you just need to specify the field symbol that points to the table , so the current line will be deleted. Because while looping, the <fs> points to the content of the current line of table it_vbap.

Need a POP-UP which can display internal table data in ALV format

HI All,
I need to display INTERNAL TABLE values through a POP-UP. Only condition is that the window with the internal table data should be in ALV format and not in TEXT only format.
To clarify, I used FM 'POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY_OK'   and 'POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY', but both display the data in TEXT format and there is no provision to put the FIELD names there. Everthing needs to be put into internal table and it displays it in text format.
So I want a FM where I can display internal tabel data in ALV format( same format that would appear if you creata search help for a filed and output window would have all the ALV features like SORT buttons etc.
Hope there is some FM to achieve this ALV format data thing.

Search help for a field using a selection method which has a text table.

Hello all,
I am trying to create a search help for one of the fields in a structure say RFCDEST. Now for this i am giving the selection method as the DB table where all the RFCDEST are maintained. However there is a text table which is also comes up for this selection method and the description of the filed RFCDEST is in that text table and the description is not stored in the main table which i specified as the selection method.
My query is that on F4 now all the rfc destinations are being shown however the description i am not able to show them because there is no field in the table specified in the selectionmethod which hold s the description but instead it is there in the text table, how can i fetch the description from there and display in the search help.

Larissa,
Did you drag the Table element from standard library and used the first option of Create Simple Table? This should make the table static and you cannot add a row. Select the second option while creating a table and choose "Body Rows vary depending on data".
Now drag-drop a button element from the standard library and in the click event make sure you have following code in JavaScript:-

How do I add a form which has a scroll bar in PDF?

I would like a form to be added into PDF, however, the form is too long to be put in one page. There are also other stuff in the right hand side, so I wish the form has a scroll bar for the user to drag and browse, just like a web page scroll bar. Is it possible that Acrobat 3D8 support such function?

Adobe Forms page break inside a table

Hi,
I have a 50 columns table and I need to print the first 25 columns on a page and the next 25 columns on the following page. Beside this if the number of lines in the table is big enough to flow on a new page I would like to print them like that:
First n lines (where n is the maximum of lines that can enter in one page)
Page 1
Coumn1 ........ Column25
Page 2
Column26..... Column50
Next n lines
Page 3
Coumn1 ........ Column25
Page 4
Column26..... Column50
and so on, until the lines in the table are all printed.

Hello Ana,
You can only add a maximum of 20 columns and 50 rows in a single page, the solution would be to conditionally divide the main table as 20xN, 20xN, and 10xN. And regarding the flow on a new page:
1. If you use the subform for line items, then make the subform type 'Flowed'.
2. If you use only table in body page then check for Allow page-breaks within content.

How do I add a form which has a scroll bar?

I got trouble when I try to insert an Excel form into PDF. The excel form is quite long,I would like to make a scroll bar for it so that I don't have to roll all way down to the bottom of the page. How can I achieve this function in LiveCycle Designer or Acrobat?

From Tools>Advanced edit, select either the Combo box or the List box. One provides a drop down list that can be scanned and the other provides a scroll list. I suspect that Designer is similar, but I use Acroforms. For Designer, you would need to check that forum unless you have folks here that use it.

Importance of the subform in adobe forms

   Since i am new to this adobe forms, can any one tell me the importance of the subform and difference between Body page & Main page of the layout.
   I was trying to use the adobe forms to print the internal table data, but at the end of the internal table data i need to 'write some text' and need to do some calculations based on internal table data.
   here i have used the subform at the end but the problem is subform is overwriting in all the pages. It should be displayed in only in the last page and after all the internal table records printed. Thanks in advance.

Let say example: in my output i am displaying header information..... make all the fileds into one subform, it indicates as header subform.
Suppose if the subform properties are position contents it does not flowed...
Suppose if the subform is flow content and top to bottom, it should flow to subsequent pages....
In adobe forms we have two types of pages which are
Master page
Body page
Master page: Basically we will design the logo,address and fotter will be designed in the master page.
it has to reflect to the subsequent pages. Master page is excluded from the content area
Body page: we will design the Table Data. it should included in the content area.
if you want to display some thing into the last page you can write the scripting based on the condions....
Adobe forms support the scripting .....
We have evnets like if you are wirting the conditions on
Master page ---> Select the event as layout ready
Body page    ---> Form Ready event in the layout

Adobe form as a webdynpto component

Hi all,
I am working on cprojects.
The requirement is to add a new tab in the cproject screen, which has been done.
when we press the new tab, one layout should be displayed in Pdf format, where some fields should be editable to enter values by the user. All the data entered by the user should be stored in a ztable.
For which, I've created a layout using Adobe form, which has to be attached in that tab page. How to attach the form interface as webdynpro component in cproject.

Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.

To get an overview idea about Adobe forms ,
Using SFP , first you need to create a interface . in interface you can declare the import and export parameters and also the declaration part, coding etc : This is nothing but similar to Function module interface.
And now we have to create the Form which is interactive. Create the form and enter the interface name which you have created in first step, so that the parameters , declarations of fields etc : will be copied and available in the form layout. So that you can drag and drop these declared fields ( dclared fields of interface ) to the layout.
Create the context and layout in the form.
The layout generated can be previewed and saved as PDF output.
Now we need to integrate the driver program and the PDF form to get the final output as per the requirement.
On activating and executing the form you will get a function module name just similar to smartforms.
The driver program needs to call this FM.
