Adobe Pro: Field settings (version 9 and higher)

I am building a fillable form using Adobe Pro 9 (and higher). Within 1 question, I want to set 3 fields, each representing an answer that can only be answered once.
I know about Radio Buttons but, I need to have some text written instead of a checkbox.
How to set a limit onto a field to direct person filling in the form to answer only 1 of the 3 fields within the same question?
Please advise.

Hi there Can you tell us what software you are using? I know you probably believe you did by saying Adobe Pro. But there are lots of Adobe products and several have a "Pro" designation. If you can tell us what product you are using, we can tell you a better place to ask the question where other folks using that particular product hang out and are helpful. Cheers... Rick

    Symptom:
    An end-user cannot play Adobe Access protected content.  The client application returns a persistent 3321 (Individualization Error) or 3322 (Device Binding Failure) error code.
    Root Cause in Chrome Browser:
    Adobe Access DRM must create a unique machine identifier (I.e. "token") to identify the the device.  This token is provided to the Adobe Access license server during a license request to view DRM protected content.  If Chrome Browser disables the ability for Adobe Access DRM to create a unique machine identifier, playback of Protected Content will fail with a 3321 or 3322 error code.  By default, this setting is enabled and available to toggle in Chrome Browser version 30 and higher.  Unchecking this option will prevent Adobe Access DRM from properly functioning. A 3321 or 3322 error that persists after a call to resetDRMVouchers is an indicator that this setting may need to be changed.
    Resolution:
    In your Chrome settings:
    •             Click on "Show advanced settings…"
    •             In the subsequent "Privacy" section, click on "Content settings…"
    •             In the subsequent "Protected Content" section, make sure that the following box is checked "Allow identifiers for protected content (computer restart may be required)".
      We are working with Google to allow better detection of this condition, so that the client will return a 3368 (User cancelled or user settings disallow operation) error code when the box is unchecked.

    my problem is that i use the PDF printer to export CAD drawings as PDF´s.
    As it is now, there are some pre-defined page sizes in the print settings, and i know i can add custom pages manually one at a time.
    What i want is to copy the list of my danish standard page sizes, and use them on my other versions of acrobat.
    Its like 70 different sizes, and i have them made manually on my current computer, but i hope its possible to copy the list to other computers.
    Maby its some script where i can define the sizes, and then copy to another computer. Im just not that much of a computer genius :-)
    Hope i got through this without to many spelling mistakes...

    I previously downloaded a trial version of Adobe Pro and had used it the last 30 days. Today I just clicked on the link from my purchase confirmation and downloaded some type of installer. Once I clicked on the installer and gave it permission to do whatever it needed to do, it just sort of stalled. I am running Mac OS Yosemite. I thought Yosemitie might be part of the problem because it has given me occasional problems with Word and some other programs.

    Thanks a lot. I see ,it's available to download when the software at the time of purchase on the adobe ID.
    But in china ,in fact the company buy the license from the adobe agency.But the agency just give us the licence and the DVD disk copy,They do not let us know the adobe ID.
    And now i cannot find the DVD disk.And the downloading link cannot find for chinese version
    1.Could i use this license in adobe Acroba XI( 11)
    2.Could i use this license in adobe Acroba X (10.0) engish version?

    Check your regional S&T pages for specifics. Generally commercial usage is allowed during school and after graduating, but in some regions extra restrictions may apply if e.g. your software is subsidized by your government or the license owned by the school and you just "loaned" it.

  • What am i doing wrong with Adobe Pro 8 trial version?

    i have tried to down load Adobe Pro trial version from the web site. says down load complete I try to launch and get a question if I trust author I say yes click Run nothing happens I have searched for file when I down load I clicked to put in folder where i could find it on desktop but when it started downloading it said for security reasons it would download to a temporary internet file still could not find there... it was downloaded using adobe's download manager even though it was under 1G. from what i read shouldn't use a download manager to download less than a G how do i stop it from doing that i am using a new Dell with Vista and not all that familiar wiht it yet. tried downloading on another computer with XP but it just kicked me out of hte internet when it went to download from there.. help!!! i really need this trial to see if i can use it before i upgrade and really need to do it today if possible

    Sounds like it might be a new VISTA or IE feature in VISTA. Maybe you could try a different browser in VISTA. Just a guess.

  • Creating a basic list portfolio in Adobe Acrobat Pro X 10.1.2 and higher

    All,
    I am trying to create a basic portfolio in Adobe Acrobate Pro X 10.1.2; however, I only have the following layouts available:
    Click-Through
    Freeform
    Grid
    Linear
    Wave
    None of these layouts seem practical.  I just need a standard list portfolio, similiar to the "list with file preview" layout available in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5.  Is there a similar list portfolio available in later versions of Adobe that I am just not aware about?  I really don't want to have go looking for a custom-portfolio to download.

    To be complete on this, first make sure JavaScript is enabled:
    Edit > Preferences, JavaScript category
    Check "Enable Acrobat JavaScript".
    To open the console, you can hit ctrl-J.
    -Or- to use a tool button to open the console, do the following:
    1. If Javascript is not listed in the Tools pane, show the JavaScript panel heading by selecting the following menu item:
        View > Tools > JavaScript
    2. Click the arrow on the JavaScript heading to show the tools beneath it.
    3. Click "JavaScript debugger". to show the JavaScript console/debugger.

  • Adobe Pro 8.1 Problems updating, and more

    I originally installed a new Arobat Pro 8.0, subsequently updated to 8.1.
    1. Recently, when i get notices of an update, i run the update.  It proeeds, finishes then, with no explanation announces that the pdate failed.
    2.  For no reason I can spot, after using thwe program to create a PDF, Adobe leaves a "Creating Adobe PDF "icon" on my task bar.  It can't be deleted.
    3.  If I click Help | About, I get a popup showing links for patents and credits.  Both links work, but otherwise Adobe is frozen.  i have to use th task manager to close it
    Otherwise the program works.
    My questions.
    1.  Any ideas on these problems?
    2.  Does Adobe have a reduced price "Upgrade version" for 9.1, or is it just like starting over?

    AA9.1 would be an update for you (at 9.1.2 currently I think). Issues that come up with the updates can sometimes be avoided by downloading the updates from the adobe.com at the download>update page. You generally have to install all of the relevant updates IN ORDER, no skipping. That may be the issue for you. Also, it is best to be logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus turned off during installation. That is true for many programs, but for various versions of Acrobat it has been a requirement. Don't know if that helps at all. Bill

  • Adobe Pro 8 email conversion aborts and shuts down MS Outlook

    For years I have been using Adobe (currently Pro 8) to convert my emails to pdf on a monthly basis.  Recently it started failing (after apparently starting to convert the emails) and then shuts MS Outlook 2007 down.  It will convert a single email but not more than one at a time.  Any ideas for a fix?

    Try turning on "cached exchange mode" in Outlook account settings.

    My computer is running very slow, and the colored wheel keeps spinning causing pages to load slowly. I recently downloaded adobe flash player. It seems 2 versions loaded. Could this be causing the problem? How can I uninstall these programs? Thank you

    Follow the instructions closely, such as quitting ALL applications first before installing.  Repair permissions and restart your computer after the installation is completed.

  • Adobe Pro X - cutting off bottom and sides of document

    Hi. 
    I had to convert a word doc to a PDF (I managed that)
    I then had to put a video in the PDF - so I installed Acrobat Pro X to do this
    However, since getting Acrobat Pro X, the bottom and sides of the document have been cut off, and there's a white border along the bottom and right hand side.
    I can't uninstall Pro as I need to put videos into the PDF, but I can't submit PDFs with the bottoms and sides cut off either.
    Please please can somebody help me?

    Go back to the original WORD document and convert to PDF using either the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker (Adobe menu item in WORD). If that solves the problem you are fine. If not, then give us details on how you did the conversion.

  • Question on Adobe Acrobat updates for version 9 and 10

    We have a large installed base of Adobe Acrobat 9 and 10 that we need to apply all the updates to. In reviewing the patches we realized we would be sending huge amounts of data across the network and impacting the end user work station. It would be simpler to have a single package that we could verify the user had a valid licensed copy, submit a job to remove the older version and install the latest fully updated version. Is this possible ?

    Possible but it depends upon you needs.
    A Bootstrapper installation will be big but it has the benifit of being able to install any update type (security or quarterly).
    Administrative Installation Point has the benefit of being smaller but if there is a security update you have to uninstall the entire thing and install a new AIP with the security Update built into it.

  • Adobe Pro - Fields do not show saved text

    So I created a few Adobe Acorbat forms for my students, when
    I tried them out they worked perfectly on my PC but after my students completed and
    emailed the forms back to me all I see is an incomplete form.
    When I click on the field it shows the text that was inputted but once I click off the text field the inserted text disappears.
    Do any of you know how to make it so that the inputted text stays showing after saving it.

    Forms > Manage Form Data > Export Data
    Forms > Manage Form Data > Import Data

    That particular script is not the best approach, but if you're only dealing with text fields, it's OK. If you are using check boxes, combo boxes, list boxes, or radio buttons, I can provide an alternate script.
