Adobe Suite issues

I have installed the Adobe CS5 suite on my external hard drive ( MAC OS X Liom) to save room on my MacBook Pro. When I start from the external hard drive, I can open all the adobe applications that were installed. When I try to open inDesign CS5.5 from the MacBook Pro (MAC OS X Snow leopard) I get the error message,
Before I changed the hard drive to Lion, I was able to open inDesign without any issues.
I have removed all the Adobe Applications with the cleaner and reinstalled them. I can open Photoshop CS5.1 on the Macbook Pro but not inDesign.
What is the issue? Does it have anything to do with MAC OS X Lion?

Oh. One more thing. I realize I did not deactivate the product on the backup. Could that be the issue?

Adobe Suite: Master Collection CS5 Migration Issues

I just fresh installed OS X Yosemite on my Macbook Pro 2008 model, and then migrated my applications, including an activated Adobe Suite: Master Collection CS5 product. Everything seemed fine, but this morning, whenever I open one of the programs, Adobe complains that the serial number is "not valid" for the product. How do I resolve this issue? Should I revert to my old time machine backup?

Oh. One more thing. I realize I did not deactivate the product on the backup. Could that be the issue?

Adobe Suite CS5 - "Cannot save files" - files are Read Only files

I had a power failure and now have a back up battery installed so I'm set for future outage. But it corrupted my Creative Suite program. I keep getting this error "Cannot save "untitled-1" under a new name. The file "DBT mp542438996529" is damaged (Error code: 0). or "Cannot save "Untitled" under new name.
1. I right click on icon of Photoshop/ Indesign CS5 file and open "Get Info" I can not reset the You can only read under "Sharing & Permission". The Name/Privilege list have Read & Write but I can not open/click on them.
2. Same issues with Photoshop CS5
I have iMac computer
3. If I re-install do I need to "deactivate my Serial number on Adobe Suite?
4. Not a good day for me

Crash of my computer - How do I re-install the Adobe suite cc ?

Hello,
I need your help with the re-installation of the Adobe suite cc on a second computer.
My main computer has been out of service for several weeks. It can't be repaired and returned to service, forcing me to use my second backup computer on which I installed the Adobe suite.
I purchased a new computer that will become my main computer. How do I install the Adobe suite on new computer since it is impossible for me to restart my old computer to disable the Adobe suite?

I have checked your subscription, right now the subscription is active on two machines.
1. Pease launch any CC product from the second computer in which you can acccess the CC, go to help menu & "Deactivate".
2.Next install CC on 3rd computer,activate it.
3.Please log out & log back in of the ccdesktop app in the machine from where you had deactivated, launch any product, click on "license this software" prompt, sign & activate it again.

Adobe Suite CS5 upgrade install not working on my new mac book pro

I'm trying to install my adobe suite software and have received this error just when the program begins to download "Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again." I've tried restarting and this doesn't seem to work.... any ideas?

Adobe Suite Hot Keys Don't Work

Hello Adobe Posse,
I am using Adobe Suite 4 with OS 10.6.2 and I am finding that on my new iMac that somewhere around the first ten to fifteen minutes my shift and alternate hotheys stop working.
I have seen postings on forums regarding this issue without any suggestions for a resolve, and it happens now and it happened on my old G4 running OS 10.4.
I am suspecting, but I am not sure, that some of Adobe's constraining and copying functions that are activated with a shift key or shift + alt, which of course we use all of the time, activate the Apple shortcut keys that override the Adobe Suite hotkeys.
While using these keys, I somehow switch focus from Adobe's hotkeys to Apple's shortcut keys, and I cannot switch them back. To solve for this I sometimes:
1. Close out of Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop
2. Do the above and toss out the preferences as well
3. Cuss uncontrollably and restart the computer
Does anyone out there have a clue as to why this happens, and how, during a session, I can switch hotkey focus back to the Adobe Suite or how I can get the OSX to stop interferring with my Adobe sessions?

May be i said not good, about problem? I will try tell about my trouble. In Windows Vista Home Basic, when i touch "2 arrows" (You can see it, on screenshot, in up-right angel), after that, touchpad Began fluoresce by the blue colour, and after that i push 1 button from 6 buttons on touchpad (they all in red circle) and starts tha application. But no, when i touch "2 arrows", nothing happened. Is it information help to solve problem?

Yes/No/maybe/who knows. You won't find out until you try. Too many things depend on the exact specific of the system configuration. It shouldn't be impossible, but compatibility issues and a lot of head-scratching to get it installed and running should be expected. Things simply have changed and from various new security mechanisms to generic compatibility issues e.g. with printer drivers any number of things come into play here.

Adobe suite downloaded but Acrobat was not downloaded with it

Ok so I know it is a common problem that acrobat X pro doesn't get downloaded properly but i did the acrofix and I got exit code 5. I googled what this is (and there aren't many responses) but when i found someone else asking the question they were told to uninstall it then download it again using their Activation key. That's great and all but i'm a student and got it through school and i know longer have the activation key as it expired after 1 month. I have had the adobe suite for nearly six months and have never really needed to use Acrobat before now (all the other applications work). So does anyone know what exit code 5 is and how I can download Acrobat without the activation code? Or does anyone know how i can get the activation code? Help from Adobe themselves would be great as well.

You may have to wait until someone that is aware of the problem comes around. You might ask in the CS forum for info. Part of the issue is that you apparently have an educational version. I have not heard of the activation code expiring. So that is a new one. You have an installation that is not the norm for us, so you may have to wait. I am not sure if the educational version has a different process than the regular versions.
One additional aspect that may be appropriate is that the installation for Acrobat within CS is different than a stand-alone installation and may actually have a different install file. You might check Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools for downloads, but you will still need an activation code.

I'm guessing that you'r not buying a new edition of the Adobe Suite 5.5.
Apparently Adobe haven't been awake to make sure the 5.5 is 100% compatiable with Lion. However, I do believe it's only a few minor troubles you will experince and Adobe constantly update their software to adjust to Lion.
You should go to Adobe.com and see the list of known issues.

I am about to purchase the ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4 WEB PREMIUM, but have a few questions before I do so to users of Adobe Suite editions.
Are all the different CS4 software in the above package bundled on one disk, or do they each have there own disk?
If they are all one disk can I update individual components within the above software, when they become available, rather than all the components at once?
Using the included Photoshop as an example:
As Photoshop has many add-ons available on the web, can I download them and integrate them into just the Photoshop program?
If Adobe releases a patch for just Photoshop, can I download it?
Which leads me to the question:
If Adobe releases a new version of Photoshop CS4, like 'CS5', can I update only the Photoshop CS4 in the suit, instead of the whole suit?
Also are there any function issues with Adobe suite in Windows XP?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No.

What kind of add-ons are to referring to?
I think the answer is yes. If it's a Photoshop add-on, you can use it.

Yes. Product patches are the same whether for a suite version or a
standalone version.

No. Once you upgrade to a suite, you must upgrade to the next suite or not
at all.
Current upgrade paths are:
Standalone version to standalone version
Standalone version to Suite
Suite to Suite
Suite to Standalone upgrade is not available.
Also, bear in mind the current "three versions back" rule for upgrades. You
can only upgrade from the last 3 versions.
So, as the rules currently stand, Photoshop CS is eligible for upgrade to
Creative Suite CS4.
But, Photoshop 7 (one version prior to CS) is not eligible for upgrade to
CS4.

10.8.2 Update - No memory on Adobe Suite anymore

Hi All,
I am one of these people who are having the major problem with the screen freezing and my late 2009 MBP freezing (cursor still moves) and having to fully switch off from the power button.
Anyway, I updated to 10.8.2 and nothing has changed the above.
I am now having problems with my Adobe Suite (CS5) remembering my preferences. I have removed all preferences on start up from each programme yet it still continues to forget them with each restart of the programme.
Can you tell me if this is something to do with the 10.8.2 update or just a coinsidence? I shall be posting on the Adobe forums too to see if anyone else has had this issues.
As usual, any help is always appreciated.

I dont think it has anything to do with 10.8. I think i used to get this problem sometimes and only had it fixed by uninstalling all of cs5 and putting it back on again, i could have even had to install it on a new user account.

How to get access to indesign after installing full Adobe suite!

I installed the full Adobe suite and can access all programmes except Indesign CS5.5 - I've installed more than once now but it keeps saying that this MAC version is not supported and that the programme should be re-installed. Aperture is Apples version of Lightroom. This has nothing to do with Adobe. Ask on a Apple forum. You won't find many people here using this program.
