After installing CC. Acrobat is missing.

I've installed the creative Cloud on my office machine and tried to log in and access the programs from home. Everything except Acrobat loaded. Acrobat failed and now my old Acrobat is missing and I an asked to enter a serial number when I try to open any PDF file. There was no serial number given when I purchased the Creative Cloud.
How do I fix this. I need acrobat to do my work?

Please navigate to Control Panel and uninstall Acrobat and install it again.
Follow the kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/ccm-prompt-serial-number.html in case of subscription asking for serial key.

Do a backup.
Take notes of all account information or take screen shots. You may need to set the accounts up again. Quit Mail.
Copy the line below.
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Select Go/Go To Folder from the Finder menu bar. Paste the line into the window. You won’t see it.
Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Unable to Print After Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader Upgrades.

I deleted the Adobe software upgrades and my HP PhotoSmart Plus printer began to operate. I contacted HP technical support and was told there is no compatibility issues between Adobe Acrobat Reader and HP All-in-One Products. It might be a problem with the specific Adobe software upgrades. HP requested that I contact Adobe support for problem resolution. Has this problem ever happened to you? Any problem resolutions would be appreciated.

Have you tested hardware functionality (made copies)?
Have you tried printing from different programs?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
What Firewalls and Anti-virus software are installed?
Have you tried disabling or uninstalling them?

PDFMaker in Excel 2010 does not appear after installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard

I installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard for a user here at work on her computer with Windows XP and Office 2010 installed. She wanted the feature and/or plug-in that allows her to "Save as Adobe PDF" in Excel 2010 and then able to add/remove pages from a spreadsheet in Excel 2010 like this:

We saw this feature with someone who has Acrobat X Standard. Is this feature available in Acrobat 9? If so, how do we enable it? We updated Acrobat 9 and nothing showed up.

The PDFMaker function of Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Office 2010: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html
You can use Acrobat 9 to create PDF files though by choosing File > Print within Excel and selecting the Adobe PDF printer.

Winword.exe process starts at startup after installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard

I installed Adobe Acrobat X Standard on a Dell Latitude D610 running Windows XP Service Pack 3. Every time the machine is started up, Winword.exe appears in the Processes tab of task manager using up to 100% of the CPU. Word itself does not open. If I cancel the Winword.exe process, CPU usage drops to more usual levels. Starting Word also pushes CPU usage up to 100%. This did not occur before Acrobat X was installed. I used System restore to restore to a point before Acrobat was installed and the problems with Word did not occur. Re-installed Acrobat X and the problems re-appeared. System restore back to a previous point and the problems disappeared. I am using Word 2000.
Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

I don't believe Acrobat X supports Word 2000. There could be some strange incompatibility. Since you have a bright and shiny Acrobat X, maybe its time to update Word and Windows, if for no other reason that the more modern versions are much more secure.

After install of Acrobat 9.0 - Where do I find the serial number?

When I installed my Acrobat 9.0 - it appeared to install correctly and I registered it. However, I wanted to find my serial number from the software itself...just to see if I was running the correct version. I can find the version, but I do not see my serial number anywhere on the 'about' AA software. I was used to this on my PC which was handy in case I ever misplaced the box/number...is this available somewhere I am not looking - or did I install something wrong?

If you registered the software you can find the serial number on your Adobe account.

After installing Adobe Acrobat XI, PDMaker does not appear in Lotus Notes 9

We have installed Lotus Notes 9 onto our PC (Multi User Installed) followed by Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
We are unable to get the PDFMaker on the Lotus Notes toolbar anymore.
We are running Windows 7 Pro 64 bits
Our system have got 8GB of Ram.
Onboard Graphic etc
Did anyone have got this similar experienced? If you got a solution, may I know how you go about resolving it?

Firefox 4.01 will not open in windows 7 after installing. Reports Profile missing

I have asked this before. I installed 4.01 on windows 7. Everytime I attempt to open it the system reports a missing profile and will not open. Have we identified what is happening?

After install of Acrobat X get error: 1

What is cause of this error. It occurs immediately after opening any PDF document

1.       OS – Windows 7 -   I uninstalled Acrobat X & reinstalled it. I was getting the “Error 1” msg.
2.       Office Laptop
3.       Screen shots
When the user opens Acrobat, this is the 1st screen that comes up ( user rights only)

Then it gives “Application has failed” & closes the application.
4.       I booted up under my Admin ID & got same errors. I then reopened the app & ran the repair.
It was then able to open documents OK.   When user logged back in she got the errors above.

After Installing iCloud 4 folder missing

I install iCloud 4.0 for windows.
Everytime when i activate the cloud drive check, nothing happened.
No cloud drive folder in windows explorer to see, only the cloud pictures folder is there.
After reopening iCloud 4.0 controlapp, the check is gone.
Any Solution?

Anyone else having problems creating autotext entries in Word 2003 after installing Acrobat 10 pro?

After installing Adobe Acrobat 10 Professional I can no longer create Autotext entries in Word 2003.
It seems to specifically be a problem with the Acrobat PDFMaker plugin for Microsoft Office as if I dont install that option Autotext does work however I need that functionality.
I've tried version 10.0.0 and 10.1.3.
Is anyone else having this problem?

It looks like Acrobat v7 had a similar issue preventing Microsoft Word from saving changes to the Normal.dot template which was later resloved in the 7.0.5 patch.

The "File Edit View Window Help" menu disappears after opening Adobe Acrobat X Standard

After installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard, when I run the program the "File Edit View Window Help" menu is visible for only a brief second then disappears. I tried to press F11 or other functions keys to bring it back. I also installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro which I also have a license for and it would do the exact same thing. Reinstalling the programs did not seem to resolve the problem. Is there an issue inside the registry?

When I press F9, the menu bar appears but the words "File Edit View Window Help" are still missing.
When I press F9 again the menu bar will close.
This is a screen capture before the words "File Edit View Window Help" disappear. After only about a second they are gone.

Cannot print to HP LaserJet 1020 after installing Reader XI 11.0.03

After installing the Acrobat Reader 11.0.3 update, I cannot print to my old, reliable HP LaserJet 1020 from Acrobat Reader and many other applications at all. Am using Win 7 64-bit. Also have Acrobat 7 Standard and PDF-Xchange 4.0, both of which have become semi-broken after installing the Acrobat Reader 11.0.3 update as well.

One of the things I have experienced in the past with printing PDFs is that it would hang in the print queue. There is a manual method of deleting the print documents in the print queue. But the issue is printing PDF documents that are scanned in and has maybe highlighted text or handwritten notes on the PDF. The printer driver can render it correctly if printing the PDF as a text document. What you have to do is change it so that it prints as a PDF image instead.
To print as an image, open the PDF then click File then click Print. Click the Advanced button on the following window that pops up and select the check box "Print as image".
Now to clear your print queue will be key prior to doing this if the print job is hung in the print queue.

Unable to install Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 after CS4 install

I have no idea why this could be, but I have recently installed Adobe CS4 Web Standard without Dreamweaver, then Dreamweaver CS5 edition on a clean install and as I was about to install Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 from an installation CD I got this message:
"Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
Thing is... I never installed Adobe Acrobat on this machine after the rebuilt, and I can't see it in the listing of my installed programs, so why do I get this message?
I would like to know, what can I do that Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 continues with the install.
Are there applications in CS4 that send this false alarm of Acrobat already being on the machine?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the add/remove programs list to be sure there is no part of Acrobat there? You might use a registry cleaner (MS or CC typically) to clean out any related issues for Acrobat. I agree with you conclusion if AA has never been installed, but CS4 may have been the culprit in the installation process.
