Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

After updating to iOS 6.1.2, iPhone 5 can't connect to iTunes. When i am trying to connect, then i can connect. After secods, the phone is not connecting with iTunes again. Then Automatically connect to iTunes again by itself.
My sound works with headphones, the alarm works, ringer works but can not listen to any music/videos without headphones plugged in.
Then lock screen bugs; bypass fumble. When I start to open the iPhone and swiping is heavily to do on the slide to unlock. What's the matter with it?firstly thanks for quick reply.

i have many pictures, messages, contacts which are very much important.
so will it be all restore and will be backup again in my iphone if i restore?

After updating to iOS 8.3, my iPhone 5 no longer can connect to cellular service
After updating my iPhone 5 this morning to iOS 8.3, I am no longer able to get service. Upon rebooting the phone, or removing and replacing the SIM, it connects for about 30 seconds, then drops the network connectivity and is constantly 'Searching...', never finding service. I restored from my backup from the previous night before the upgrade, but that doesn't reset it back to iOS 8.2.
I've contacted my service provider, but it doesn't seem to be on their end.
What are my options here?This is strange because my wife's iPhone 5c did the exact same thing. In one day it was 536MB. The other weird thing is that this happened while the iPhone was not being used. She was at work during this time and her iPhone was off and in the back room. I did call AT&T to ask them about it and they didn't know what happened either. The most they did was to put a note on the account that if we go over our data limit that they will credit it back this month. I've been checking every couple of days and it hasn't happened again. I'm glad I'm not the only one but I wish that there was an explanation.

AFTER UPDATING THE IOS 8 IN MY IPHONE THE PHONE MEMORY REDUCED TO 5.5 GB WHICH IS VERY LOW COMPARED TO 8GB. IWANT DEGRADE IT TO IOS 7.1.2
You must have upgraded the device directly through WIFi, restore your device via ITUNES and thats gonna work, it will reduce the space occupied by the new software installation

Second day after updating to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, my contacts have duplicated. Probably not all but many, and my contacts already numbered in the thousands.
Please tell me there is an easy fix to this problem!! I already had to go through contact-by-contact when I bought this phone and added contacts from my Blackberry and MS Outlook on the phone. Many duplicated at that time and Apple said the only fix was to go through each one and decide to keep or delete. I really don't want to do that again!I had this problem while I had iOS 5.1.1 installed for many months. Fortunately I only have about 150 contacts and only about half of them duplicated. I found that my problem was the way thing were set up in Outlook. I removed all of the duplicates and corrected everything in Outlook contacts (ignoring the address book) and have not had the problem since, Hope this helps.

It will restore to all company ajustments, but it will not delete anything at all.
After that, do not Sign In Facebook, I see many people got problems after Sign In Facebook.
In my device, I do not fill last names, I just fill names in "First Name".
Another question: Are you sync your contacts with Outlook or iCloud? I have suggested another one to do not sync with Outlook and, in iTunes:

I have an Iphone 4s factory unlocked. I got At&t again and after updating to iOS 6.0 my iphone its not working propertly. I dont have the carriers option nor Im able to face time using cellular data. Any suggestions!?
Do you have an AT&T carrier file number showing? The only time you can use Facetime on AT&T cellular is if you are using one of their Shared Data plans. While they have not locked your phone, it appears their carrier file is in control of your device when you have the AT&T SIM card in there.

There is no such thing as a "Factory Unlocked iPhone "
They are either locked to a carrier who may at some stage offer unlocking
or sold direct to a user by Apple (from their own Stores or online .)
Those iPhones are NOT locked

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I was having ios 4.3 and decided to upgrade to ios 5 and in doing so I lost all my apps despite I restored from my earlier back up. The itunes I’ve backed up is different from the itunes I have used to upgrade….. I was wondering if I can get back my apps that were purchased using different apple ID (not mine). Since I am in Ethiopia doesn’t even have the chance to buy it again. I have searched it in my computer/c/user/adminstrator….but couldn’t find it. Anyone p/l help
When I updated my iPhone to IOS 5, I did it from my MB Air, when my iPhone's "home" is my work 27" iMac. I figured I could just download the new OS at home where internet is fast and then sync at office and be done.
WRONG!!! So, like others here, all my apps were "gone."
Following some of what I read above, I did the following and now all my apps that I purchased in the past are downloading to my 27".
In iTunes I went to Purchased, under "Store" in left column of iTunes.
Then at the bottom of the Purchased screen was something like Download all apps, borrom right (sorry, cant see it now, its downloading all of them). Once I hit that, I could see all my apps and it looks like they are all coming back.
Now all I have to do is put them all like I had them before, folders, etc. That will be a pain BUT at least I have all of them. -

I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming. So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on. But the ipad is a different story. I have the music and artist but not one playlist I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z. Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac. Which I do talk highly of all the time. But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not. Any ideas?

Verify the Messages notifications are enabled.
Settings > Notifications > Messages > Alert Style > Set to anything other then None, although Banners go away automatically.
Also double check here that the Badge App Icon is enabled, so you'll see that red number with the amount of messages waiting to be viewed. You'll also have an option here to View in Lock Screen. -

Confused.The Apple Support person walked me thru this. If you have the classic 'greyed out' wifi problem with your iPhone 4s. Very easily fixed:
Read all instructions before starting:
1. Try to toggle on/off airplane mode check.
2. Try the old turn on/off trick. Check.
3. Try resetting Network Settings. Settings > General > Reset Network Settings Check.
4. Ensure your phone is backed up to iCloud before proceeding. Very important you do this. Check.
5. Wipe your phone. Settings > General > Reset All Settings. Keep in mind this will wipe your phone but you have that iCloud back up.
6. Check if wifi is working. No, then no prolbem: You have the option to have your 4s fixed which is probably out of warranty. No deal? Ok, you have the option of purchasing a new phone? Still no deal? Proceed to next step if these options are no good and you decide to live without wifi.
7. Restore your phone from the iCloud. Oh, you don't have wifi. Then you can't restore your phone.
This is where i got dropped off the bus.
