After updating to the latest iTunes, NONE of the movies will play on iPod
I purchased Night at the Museum Battle for the Smithsonian, and it included a digital copy, which allows for legally downloading to an iPod. I received a message that I could not put it on my iPod unless I had the latest version of iTunes.
I do not sync my iPod, I always move my files manually; I don't know if this could have anything to do with the problem. However, the movies I had on my iPod that worked previously now do not work. I can see a small graphic in the upper left corner, the title of the movie and hear the soundtrack, but that's it.
I've figured it out for myself; after upgrading, I can no longer have the TV OUT to the ON setting. I did a little hunting on the internet to get the answer.

I just purchased a 120gb iPod classic 6th generation from a friend. I have the latest iTunes installed and the software on the iPod is also current. My problem is whenever I'm syncing the iPod and iTunes freezes between the 250- 300th song... I have to manually reset the iPod for the iTunes to run correctly, but then my music isn't added and iTunes tells me I have to restore the iPod... I've done this numerous times only to no avail... Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
The latest iTunes software wiped out my apps for my 2G iPod Touch by overwriting newer releases of the apps which are not compatible with iOS 4.2.1. I tried to restore the iPod to an earlier version without success. Is there any way to download older versions of my apps which are compatible with my older iPod?
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

TS1416 It seems the latest itunes version does not support sync functions to ipod classic
I have updated my Itunes to version 11.04 but it seems this version does not support syncing with Ipod classic it seems it only supports the Ipod touch. Does anyone have any solutions for this problem?

As the title asks.....Will my iPod 3G be compatible with the latest iTunes (11)?
The reason is I am having problems making my iPod 3G, iTouch 2G and iPhone 3GS all connect to iTunes store etc. I am having an error message of -42408 when launching my present iTunes 10.6.3.We have 2 out of 3 of those and iTunes 11 works great on all of them.
It does take some getting use to from iTunes 10. -
After the latest iTunes update neither of my iPods are recognized by iTunes, so I am unable to sync. When I run diagnostics it says no device connected. My laptop sees my iPod so I know it is connected. I have tried all of the recommended iTunes fixes and none work. I tried deleting and reinstalling both an older version and the newest version. The older version would not reconize my music libray. Any thouhts?

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

Hi, i'm having trouble with syncing my iPod. (after the latest iTunes-update)
It's a classic, but I have no idea what generation... but it was bought in early 08, and have 80gb. Anyway, it has been working fine all the time, but by the latest iTunes-update, it has stopped working. (mac) Every time I try to connect it with my computer, iTunes says that "this iPod appears to be destroyed, try to restore" (I'm having iTunes in Norwegian, so not sure if this is the direct translation, but hopefully you'll get the picture) - and I try to do this, again and again, but nothing seems to work. I have tried to turn off the computer, put iPod in disc-mode, let the battery run out, give it a two-week break, and now I'm out of guesses on what to do. But no matter what I do it allways appear to have zero songs on it after I am done syncing, and I allways get the "try to restore"-message when i connect it again.
It's possible that it's just old age or something, but I really want to try everything first, as it seems to be all right otherways. It also works when I connect it with my friend's PC, but since she has ****** taste of music () it's not an option. I have a MacBook, also from 2008.
And just to clearify. I have an iPad2, and an old iPod nano (2006) and both works with my computer/iTunes.See:

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this? The problem is with version 10.4.1. I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work. The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me. Here was their list of steps:
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
2. Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
a. iTunes
b. QuickTime
c. Apple Software Update
d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
e. Bonjour
f. Apple Appllcation Support
3. Reboot PC
4. Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes. To correct this:
5. Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
6. Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
7. Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
8. Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date. It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
9. Reboot PC -
While attempting to install the latest iTunes update, version 10.5.3, I encountered an issue. I was forced to download this update manually which, after restarting my Windows 7, did not install properly. How do I get it to install this update?
The installer should have gone into your Apple Software Update folder:
C:\USERS\<user name>\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update
Right mouse click the msi file and select INSTALL -
After downloading the latest iTunes update, when I open Outlook on my pc, I am getting an error message that MobileMe has encountered a problem and needs to close. What's up with this?

After updated to the latest iTunes version, it is unable to connect any of my devices.
May someone please help me with this issue? I have many important files for school need to be sync to my iPad. Also songs that I love to hear are needed to be synced to my iPod. Before anyone give me advices, I would like to tell you all what I have done or tried to solve the issue.
When I found out iTunes doesn't recognize my devices anymore, I tried to disconnect the USB from the devices then connected again after rebooting my PC. that method didn't work. Next is to reinstall iTunes. Reboots the PC after installed it. I then connected the devices but still not working. Next attempt was to uninstall the latest iTunes and sola it with the older version of iTunes (or the pervious version). Unfortunately, this method did not work either.
Before I updated to the lasted iTunes, the previous iTunes was working normally. Now I have tried to reinstalled the previous version, it is still not working. Everyone please help me or people with the same issue. I hope Apple takes a glance at these discussions. It is very bothersome. I or we try to have the latest system, but it always encounters a problem. Every problem that I or we have encounters regarding iTunes are not easy to solve. It takes for ever.

* Small reminder: all devices were able to connect to iTunes before updated iTunes.Try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile device service, apple application support. THen redownload and reinstall iTunes.
