After updating to vr. 3.6.17 Firefox starts grabbing memory, cpu goes to 100%, and it crashes w/o a crash report, 2-3 times a day

I have similar problem only using XPPro/SP3. Once open even if just sitting unused it continues to gobble memory and crashes. It crashed a couple of times a day since the update, has locked the system up a couple of times and crashed a total of 14 times today, the last three while trying to send crash reports. All since the 3.6.17 update. It has become unusable (I'm posting this from Opera 11). From scanning the forum looks like Apple folks are having similar problems with the last update as well.
If I was of a paranoid turn of mind I'd think it was a way to get people to move to FF4.

The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. AFTER UPDATING THE IOS 8 IN MY IPHONE THE PHONE MEMORY REDUCED TO 5.5 GB WHICH IS VERY LOW COMPARED TO 8GB. IWANT DEGRADE IT TO IOS 7.1.2
You must have upgraded the device directly through WIFi, restore your device via ITUNES and thats gonna work, it will reduce the space occupied by the new software installation

After update to O/S 7.1.2 my iPad2 is stuck on Vertical Orientation and will not shift to horizontal as it has in the past. How can I get the flexible orientation back??
I agree with what FoxFifth has said, but I want to add a little to the discussion and put my own twist on the explanation.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen.
If you are running iOS 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to the control center and the lock icon is in the row of icons at the top all the way to the right.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button -
When starting Firefox 3.6.11 the CPU goes to 100%.
After upgrading from 3.6.10 to 3.6.11 I'm unable to start Firefox in a reasonable period of time (3 minutes). The CPU goes to 100% for one of my 4 cores, when left to its own, the Firefox window appears after 18 minutes 43 seconds. My CPU is a Q6700 (Quad 2.66Ghz).
How can I go back to 3.6.10??

How, after updating to version 7.0.1 (Firefox) I can go back to the 6.0 version ?
after updating firefox to 7.0.1 several plug-ins were disconnected a.o. the plug-in I need for the e-print function of my HP printer.
I do not want this to happen and therefore tried by means of systemrestore to go back to the earlier ( probably 7.0.0 ).
For some reason this did not work out good and I am now still on the 7.0.1

The likely problem is use of certain Oracle etc software, the developer Oracle being aware of the problem and working on a fix. Meanwhile there is a registry hack as a potential workaround, or the simpler workaround of downgrading temporarily to firefox 3.6.23.<br> -
In the past, when I tried to bookmark a Web page, I had the option of choosing where I wanted the bookmark stored. If I selected "Choose," I would be presented with a list of all my folders. Not any more! Now, if I select "Choose," I am presented with only three options: "Bookmarks Toolbar," "Bookmarks Menu," and "Unsorted Bookmarks."
Firefox continues to become increasingly difficult to use, and appears to be less stable. I fell that I am being forced to migrate to Google Chrome. What is going on?
BTW, Firefox prevented support.mozilla.org from asking me to install software on my computer, so I was not able to automatically add troubleshooting information.

(philipp)</sub>No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Most of my family has switched to Chrome, and I will be following shortly. Firefox used to be a great program. Not any more. Getting assistance with a problem has also become very difficult.

I just updated to the new version of Firefox, then updated the Adobe flash as suggested by Firefox, but when ever I open Firefox again it says Adobe needs my permission to do something then it says that the GetPlus + (R) has crashed and apparently Adobe never fully updates. Is this a huge problem? If so how do I fix it??

You can just download the direct installer for Flash.
*Save this link to your computer: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
*Close Firefox
*In Control Panel -> Programs and Features, uninstall any Adobe Download Manager, GetPlus, or similar entries.
*Also uninstall Flash.
*Then run the install_flash_player.exe you downloaded earlier.
That should get Flash working again (check that it is listed under Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins)

How do I get my "save and quit" back I do not like having to close all my tabs and loose all that every time I close out of firefox. When I got the latest version of firefox I lost the ability for firefox to save my tabs when I close out of it. I have to go through the process of opening all my tabs and refinding the sites all over again each time I load up firefox. I can not find the place to change the settings to being back the way they were before firefox got the latest version. I want my "save and quit" back.

After updating to ios 8 on my iphone 4s, all my music from iphone disappered. I tried all the suggestions, but I cant see music folder in the settings-general at all. I signed out of icloud as well, but still cannot sync with itune on my macbookpro. Can any one help?

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

After updating to the latest software, my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 are not recognized by iTunes. I have attempted all of the suggusted material on Apple support. I am not satisfied as these items are needed daily.
Connect the device to the computer.
Quit iTunes if it launches.
Click the Start menu, right-click on Computer, and choose Properties.
In the upper-left corner, click Device Manager. The Device Manager window should open.
Click the plus icon (or disclosure triangle () for Windows 7) next to Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand this selection.
Right click on apple mobile device USB Driver and update it to latest version.

Hello ! I just want to share something familiar with that black display or screen occurs for some people. When I watch youtube videos, I used to watch them in html5 720p videos (not flash videos, https://www.youtube.com/html5 ). I upgraded firefox to version 33. No black display when I used it. Randomly and after watching several html5 videos on youtube, aero transparency in my windows 7 turns opaque and firefox display goes all black. Firefox doesn't respond at any command. I need to kill his process in task manager in order to close it. When I open firefox again, normal display goes. To relaunch aero transparency in windows 7, I need to restart the service whose name is, I think, "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager". I use windows 7 in french and the service name is "Gestionnaire de sessions de Gestionnaire de fenetrage".
To solve this, I upgraded my graphic driver but this didn't work. I tried to put "layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled" to false in "about:config" menu. No random black display but some html elements turned black for some seconds or definitely when firefox rendered web pages. I tried to uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" in options menu. No random black display but html5 720p videos didn't play smoothly.
Then, I chose to watch youtube 720p videos again with flash player and no random black display and html5 720p videos played normally.

All my browsers, chrome, IE9, Fox, doesn't even load anime videos. I tried reinstalling 11.5 many times, it have no effect but I use IE9 64-bit to run the videos that couldn't run. I waited 25 min for a JW player to load an episode of anime and I'm sick of it.

Today I got a iPad mini but after updating it my pc and iTunes decided to clear my whole iTunes library including manual downloads as well as purchased items (apps, music etc) it seems iTunes has gone back in time as there are only a few songs on my iTunes which are really old ones of mine. I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.
