Agent permissions to edit phone book
I have built a new phone book in the work flow node in work flow administrator and wish to have the agents manage it. When agents launch the phone book the Edit button is grayed out. How do I grant the agents permission to edit their phone book?

You can not Do that, the global phone books can be managed by only system administrator(CAD Admin)
You may take help of the feature called personal phonebook, which are specific to agent only and are managed by agents.

Permissions needed to use VCS as Phone Book Source

I would like to use our parent company's VCS (ip reachable) as a phone book source in our TMS. It would appear that I first have to add the VCS to our systems list in TMS.To add it to our systems list I apparently need some credentials on their VCS.
Question:
What is the best way to set up their VCS so I will have the minimum privileges necessary to pull phone book info? Should they create a read-only Administrator account?

The goal is to get all TMS endpoints into CUCM as a user so that they will show in the directory. Now you have two options. 1 if your MAIL ID is what you use for your URIs then all you need to do is import the CR users from AD (if CRs have AD accounts). You will then have a directory as long as all your URIS are right. Thats fine and relatively scale able. For those of us that do not have this done like this you will need to Export all of your video devices from TMS into an excel sheet. You will need to work the sheet a bit so that the columns can line up to DISPLAY NAME (name of endpoint) and MAIL ID (URI). You can import this into CUCM to create the CR users and they will then show in the directory. This is not long term scale-able and when you want to change a room you now have to edit a manual CUCM user. This will only work if you run 8.5 or higher. -
Hello, I have a question on "quest".????? I have someone getting into my computer. I have shut of the quest... and yet yesterday all of my files were stolen. Please Help me MorgiegalData rate DOES make a difference, but I'd say your real problem has more to do with the fact that you're working on a Powerbook. Motion's real time capabilities derive from the capability of the video card. Not the processor. Some cards do better than others, but laptops are not even recommended for running Motion.
To improve your workflow on a laptop will be limited, but there are a few things that you can try.
Make sure that thumbnails and previews are turned off.
Make sure that you are operating in Draft Mode.
Lower the display resolution to half, or quarter.
Don't expect to be getting real time playback. Treat it more like After Effects.
Compressing your clips into smaller Animations does help because it lowers the data rate, but you're still dealing with the animation codec which is a high data rate codec. Unfortunately, it sounds necessary in your case because you're dealing with alpha channels.
The data rate comes into play with your setup trying to play through your USB drive. USB drives are never recommended for editing or Motion work. Their throughput is not consistent enough for video work. a small FW drive would be better, though your real problem as I said is the Powerbook.
If you must work on the powerbook, then don't expect real-time playback. Instead, build your animation, step through it, and do RAM previews to view sections in real time.

I have an original iPhone running version 2.2.1. I wish to get rid of the phone, but before discarding it I want to remove the email records, phone book information, and photos. I would like to leave the other apps in place. Any suggestions?
Delete you mail account on the phone and disable to sync your mail account in the info pane in iTunes with your phone connected, same for contacts. Also deselect photo syncing in the photo pane. After the following sync, your mail, contact and photos should be gone.
Photos inside the camera roll have to be deleted on the phone.
Remember, that apps only can be used with the account they were bought with. If the phone will be set up with a different iTunes account, all of your apps will be removed.

Our President still likes to have a printed copy of our customer contacts, addresses and phone numbers. Without printing an excel spreadsheet or creating a Crystal Report does anyone have some ideas? We used to maintain an ACT database that would print a decent looking phone book but we've stopped maintaining it. Thanks

Create a query in SAP Business One, save it in a Query Manager Category and close. Then go to the query manager, expand the category, select the query and click on Create Report. Choose the Base Template and select OK. Now you can go to Tools > Queries > Query Print Layout and double click on the name of the report to edit the layout. This is the standard PLD and will allow you to add borders, change fonts, etc. to make it look nice. To print the report, go to Tools > Queries > Query Print Layout and click only once on the name of the report, then select Print or Print Preview.

DX80... Using TMS as phone book source

I know there are nurmerous threads about this on the forums however I am unable to find the answer from all the discussions and documentations..
We have a DX80 registered on our CUCM 10.5.1..
As described in the guides, these CUCM registered TP devices use the UDS server to populate the phone book.. So presently, our DX80 is seeing all end users from a LDAP sync..
It's been mentioned that CUCM registered TP devices can now use TMS as a directory source but Im unable to find the setting within CUCM to tell to it to use TMS as the source.. ?..

Frustration when editing a book
When editing a book in split view, if I double click a photo to have a closer look then double click again to return to the split view, the position in the photo selection pain at the bottom is lost and the page view on the left returns to the top of the book!
Furthermore when I double click to go back to the book editing the colour wheel goes round and round for 2/3 mins before I can continue!

What is your Aperture Version? With my version AP 3.2.3 I see something different, but still annoying:
The position in the photo selection film strip at the bottom is kept, but the "Pages" panel on the left returns to the top of the book!
I simply use a different method to get a closer look: I select the image I want to view in the film strip and enter "F" for full screen view (or hit the full screen button in the upper right corner of the Aperture window), then returrn with "esc". Both, the position in the film strip and the selected page, are preserved this way.
I suspect, you have a corrupted image in your Aperture library or a permissions problem to cause this strange behaviour - also some preference files may be corrupted. Have you tried any of the "Aperture Library First Aid Tools" described here?

If not, then try if repairing the permissions, and if necessary, repairing the Aperture Library will take care of the spinning beachball. See the section "Use the Aperture Library First Aid tools" in the above support article on how to do this.
To fix the jumping back to the first page it may be necessary to trash the preferences - but that will reset your Aperture Preferences to the default values - you will have to reset them afterwards. Thhis is also described in the Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics.
To check what Aperture is doing during the 2/3 minutes - or to check if something is wrong - activate the Activity Window while you are working with Aperture (from the main Aperture Application window): Window -> Show Activity
Also you may want to launch the Console Application (from Apllications -> Utilities -> Console), here all diagnostics and error logs are registered and you can see, if any errors or crashes relating to Aperture are occuring, while the beachball is spinning.

Ive updated the instructions
This what I did to completely wipe my BB. I wrote this before starting and printed it off.
If your device is functioning, perform a backup now if you haven't already done so saving the file to a place and in a name that you can easily locate on computer.
I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer thus removing the OS for the BB from the computer in order to ensure that the version I would reinstall would be a brand new downloaded version.
Get the latest Desk Top Software (DTS)
http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?CPID=OTC-DSKTPSW&cp=OTC-DSKTPSW
and install it on the computer.
Get the correct latest version of the OS
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
and save it to computer.
To erase all the data on your BlackBerry device, complete the following steps.
1) Download JL_Cmder from http://www.4shared.com/get/oqP9V-2Q/JL_Cmder_v19.html
2) Install JL_Cmder to computer.
3) Double check you have already backed-up the BB. If you DO NOT, you will lose ALL data.
4) Make sure the DTS is closed and plug in the BB to computer via USB
5) Go to the JL_Cmder on your computer and double click it to start. Now,this may take a few tries to connect, so keep trying until it does.
6) On the first screen, Press any key to continue.
7) Now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N"
8) Press 4 to initiate the WIPE
9) Press "Y" to continue
10) Now type "blackberry" to continue
11) On the BB you will see a white screen with a'507' Error. Don't worry, this is what you want! You are now ready to install the OS.
Launch the new Desk Top Software on the computer
1). On the home screen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Device > Update my device.
2). Click View Other Versions. Click the version of the new OS you previously downloaded.
3). Click Install. The DTM will install the OS and then provide you with a list of applications to install. If you have had difficulties with an app, do not install it.
Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is completed and the device has rebooted.
After 10 minutes reboot again by removing the battery whilst powered-on and leave it out for a couple of minutes.
Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functioning BB!

By what method do you transfer the phone book in laptop?
These two most of the time works; by doing a one-way synch(phonebook of old phone) to outlook, making the phone dominant in resolving conflict. Then doing the reversed(in new phone) making outlook dominant in resolving conflict.
The other way is just doing a backup & restore with latest pcsuites that supports both phones. Not only phonebook is restore but almost all items in memory of old.
Check which one suits you!

Phone Book Entries Mixed Up on Audi Handsfree !
Does anyone know how to keep the phone book entries (contacts) showing in the right order when conected, via bluetooth on my Audi A4 ? The A4 is the latest model (2009) and the iPhone is brand new (Dec' 09). The problem is , that if an entry is :- Mike Mobile it will be Mobile Mike on the car display !! This is a massive problem as i'm sure you can imagine. Please Help, Thanks Cotters.
This is a problem with the Audi system that can only sort name lists in the order of the last name. I'm having the same problem on my A6 (2009 model). I'm afraid, there is nothing you can do about, other than editing your contacts in a way, that the mobile phone number goes into a special field of your contact "Mike". The Audi will than give you a selection, which number you want to call (i.e. mobile, home, or office). I know this is painful, but at the end it also helps you when dealing with a large number of contacts in the iPhone.
Sorting by the last name is a common thing in name lists in Germany unfortunately, so I won't be too optimistic about Audi changing this. -

TMS - Manage Phone Book Sources - Cannot display the group into TP endpoints

I just deployed the TMS to make the provision function and manage the TP endpoints.
Actually, one contact assigned for one TP enpoint, e.g. SX20, which have the different call methods, e.g. SIP:[email protected]; H323:192.168.10.20; H323 ID:3899
After pushed the contact to TP endpoint, but we just saw the 1st address (SIP:[email protected]) call click to call on Directory.
Only can show the [SIP:[email protected]] on the TP Directory ... Cannot have a group on TP directory show?What is the default call protocol the SX20 is using? I'd amuse it would be SIP, because you only saw the SIP address in the directory.
If you want all phone book entries to show regardless of the endpoint's default call protocol, you can set "Route Phone Book entries" to No in Administrative Tools > Configuration > General Settings.
Yes is the default setting, which means that endpoints will only display addresses that they are capable of dialling. For example, on an H.323-only endpoint, ISDN numbers and SIP addresses will not be displayed.
No means that the endpoints will display all addresses and numbers in the phone book regardless of their dialling capabilities.
Make sure that each endpoint is allowed to dial out using H323 and SIP under Navigator > Systems > Edit Settings.
Also, instead of a manual phone book source, why don't you have the phone book pull from the list of endpoints in a folder using the "Cisco TMS Endpoints" as a phone book source. It will pull contain all the calling methods for the endpoints in whatever folder you specify. Would be easier to manage than manual phone book sources. -
Phone Book not working on UHP bluetooth system

I want to use my iPhone 2G with the UHP bluetooth system in my Opel Astra H. The pairing works fine, I can do and accept phone calls, but when I select the phone book the display (in the car, not the iPhone) says "loading contacts..." but it never finishes. The last called contact are almost instantly synchronized and can be used for calls.
How can I get the contact list/phonebook working via bluetooth to be able to call all of my contacts and not only the most recently ones?I have just got a Nokia 2760 and BlueSoleil BT with a USB dongle. Same diagnosis, I can perform certain functions including:
- adding contacts using Phone Browser
- seeing and adding files using the BlueSolei SW, but I cannot see (and edit) the contacts folder.
Same diagnosis from PC Suite, that connection to the phone cannot be established, but it is obvious that it is connected!
Very annoying fault!

Trying to automate planning application refresh in a new environment. We are running this with no problem in current environment. My attempt to run the command results in run-time error '429'. Is there something that's not setup in my new environment
