ALBPM - Fuego Time.timeZone variable

I am unable to find much documentation on the impact of using this field. Is this set globally for a process. For example, if I have a split to do some parallel processing that handles different time zones, can I just set the Time.timeZone in each of the lines of execution off the split .. or would they step on/override each other?
I guess this may be based on how the split or for/each works. Does it create different threads, etc?

Sure you've probably figured this out by now - although it seems frightening, the severe message you're getting in the log should not be causing you any harm.
If you wanted to, you could send a notification to the subprocess to abort it before the original instance is released in the Join.
It's just telling you that the instance in the subprocess has nothing to talk back to in the parent process.

Working with TimeZone variables in UCCx script

I'm wondering if you guys could help me to find out the best way to work with TZ variables in UCCx script.
Because of different countries customer has a branches, I need to setup different TimeZones for each country handled by the same centralized UCCx.

My idea is to work with Time Zone variables in the script, so what I did was to create different TZ variables and each one of the them assigned the proper timezone based on the country, so depending of the Trigger involved (DNIS), I can find witch country this call came from and give the right timezone.
The problem I have is that at the time I want to add or subtract two variables of TZ, I got an error because of the syntax. I've been trying different options, but until now, no luck.
Would you mind you guys who had been working on this let me know what is the right syntax to add or subtract TimeZone variables un UCCx?

My approach in the scripts was that basically I allow the department to set their opening hours in the timezone of their choice.
They have a management web page served from CCX that accepts start/end times each day, and a timezone. That all gets stored in XML.
In the script, based on that information I get the current time in whatever timezone is set, and compare that to the XML open/close times.
Similarly for holidays, I get the current date/time in the holiday TZ and compare the holidays to that.

Fixed length time interval variable

Hello experts,
I would like to define a time interval variable between a start date (entered by the user) and end date which is exactly 12 periods after the start date (the system somehow calculates the end date = start date + 12).
The same principle should be used for different periods such as day, week, month. For instance for a calendar day variable it should calculate the end date = start date + 12 days, for a calendar week start date = start date + 12 weeks etc.
How such behaviour with a variable could be achieved ?

Time Capsule variable network reliability

For years we have had an issue with using Time Capsule for backup through Time Machine. It is a variable issue, but has finally become annoying enough that I am trying to figure it out.
We use an older first generation time capsule for small office backup. There is a 2Gb additional hard drive hung off the Time Capsule for additional backup capacity since the Time Capsule is simply not large enough to handle more than one or two computers. I have partitioned the external drive into multiple partitions so that each computer backing up to the external drive has a separate partition. I understand that there are reliability issues with keeping an external drive mounted on the network so won't worry about that for now.
So here is my problem over the last couple of days. Time Capsule frequently, several times per day, drops off the network and is not available for Time Machine to backup. This results in having to manually hard restart Time Capsule repeatedly. I saw a post indicating that this had been a problem with firmware 7.6.2 and 7.6.3 so downgraded the Time Capsule to 7.5.2. This seemed to help, but we are still having problems with it.
In order to monitor the status of Time Capsule for the past two days I have had Time Capsule along with one of the partitions mounted at all times on my computer and have had AirPort Utility running. Several times a day AirPort Utility will show the Time Capsule as having changed to an error status
"Time Capsule was previously part of your network. Check that it is still in range of your network and is plugged into a power outlet. Forgetting this device removes it from this network."
This wouldn't be troubling if it weren't for the fact that both Time Capsule and the external partition are still mounted and can still be accessed from my desktop so I know that it is actually still part of the network. I can enter Time Machine without a problem using the backup that is supposedly not on the network.
I have also had it refuse to back up to the Time Capsule in Time Machine claiming that the backup could not be located. The drive was still mounted on my computer. I deleted Time Capsule as the backup disk in Time Machine preferences and then reselected it and it proceeded to backup to Time Capsule with no problem.
AirPort Utility and Time Machine are recognizing Time Capsule as being present for some purposes, but not others, even though it is properly on the network the entire time. Any ideas as to where this is going wrong would be helpful.

The problem is not unusual.. ever since Lion.. and more so with Mountain Lion the hard disk of the TC has been disappearing even though actual network connection to the internet or local computer is maintained.
There is no fix. There isn't even a work around. The usual method of fix is to reboot the TC.
I can suggest a few things which I think can help but none is a cure.
When it reaches several times per day.. frankly I would be purchasing a new solution.
You may be seeing the belated death of the TC power supply.. yours (if not already repaired) has clung tenaciously to life.. when most of its peers are long dead. It is really too old to be bothered replacing just the power supply.. although that is possible.

Suggested settings.
1. Start with a factory reset.. this will not mess up files on the hard disks. Use SMB naming for everything.. ie windows networking which is the most basic of networking.. all names must be short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.. for everything in the TC.

2. Same rules for passwords.. but for wireless you can use more characters. (depending on your level of paranoia.. but it is worth thinking about, is wireless worse than ethernet for computers on the network. ie do computers with ethernet have less dropouts??)
3. Is the TC main router for the network? If so I recommend you reduce the dhcp lease time to 20min.. I think this can help keep things updated.. but also use dhcp reservations on everything you can so IP addresses do not change.

Data services with SQL Server 2008 and Invalid time format variable

Recently we have switched from DI on SQL Server 2005, to DS(Date Services) on SQL Server 2008. However I have faced an odd error on the query that I was running successfully in DI.
I validate my query output using a validation object to fill either Target table (if it passes), or the Target_Fail table (if it fails). Before sending data to the Target_Fail table, I map the columns using a query to the Target_Fail table. As I have a column called 'ETL_Load_Date' in that table, which I should fill it with a global variable called 'Load_Date'. I have set this global variable in the script at the very first beginning of the job. It is a data variable type:
$Load_Date = to_char(sysdate(),'YYYY.MM.DD');
When I assign this global variable to a datetime data type cloumn in my table and run the job using Data Services, I get this error:
error message for operation <SQLExecute>: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid time format>.
However I didn't have this problem when I was running my job on the SQL Server 2005 using Data Integrator. The strange thing is that, when I debug this job, it runs completely successfully!!
Could you please help me to fix this problem?

The ETL_Date is a datetime column and the global variable is date data type. I have to use the to_char() function to be able to get just the date part of the current system datetime. Earlier I had tried date_part function but it returns int, which didn't work for me.
I found what the issue was. I don't know why there were some little squares next to the name of the global variable which I had mapped to the ETL_Date in the query object!!! The format and everything was OK, as I had the same mapping in other tables that had worked successfully.
When I deleted the column in the query object and added it again, my problem solved.

Flex Time with variable tempo not working correctly.

Hey,
Has anyone else noticed that Flex Time doesn't work as intended if you have variable tempo?
To clarify, I recorded a band playing their song and then figured out their various natural tempo changes and adjusted the Global Tempo Track accordingly.
Then, the drummer recorded his part to a click on that track, obviously keeping with the natural tempo changes that the band played to.
Quantization of MIDI works just fine, as in, it matches the increases and decreases in tempo.
However, attempting to quantize an audio track using Flex Time does not work properly.
I was just wondering if there is something that I'm doing wrong or if this is a known bug.

But there are several Problems using a dummy field in an IDOC structure. We have got a naming convension so that we can't create an IDOC-like structure named ORDRSP.ORDERS05.
But perhaps I am thinking to complex and there is an easier way to add a dummy field to an IDOC structure.
Could you perhaps also suggest a solution for that dummy field problem?

BO 3.1 WEBI Time format variable not showing correctly

I apologise in advance. I know this topic has been covered many times in previous forums but I have been through each and I am still encountering an issue.
My requirement is to convert x number of seconds into a HH:MM:SS time format for both positive and negative numbers in WEBI.
I found a formula on a forum here that suggest using the following code:
=FormatNumber(Floor([Column_Name]/3600) ;"0") + ":" + FormatNumber(Floor(Mod([Column_Name];3600)/60);"00") + ":" + FormatNumber(Mod(Mod([Column_Name] ;3600) ;60) ;"00")
I have used this code and when I give the code an input of -720 seconds it outputs in the format -1:-12:00.
It is quite frustrating I cannot get this to the correct format, can anyone suggest what is wrong with this formula?
I am using WEBI for creating the formula on BO 3.1.

This is your formula.

Issue with this formula is only when you have used negative seconds.I have break the formula =FormatNumber(Floor([Column_Name]/3600) ;"0") and found this is giving the wrong result.If you divide -720/3600 you will get 0.2 and nearest integer is 0 but in this case 1 is coming.
Same time it is working properly with 720 and the result will be 0.
In this case i have created one variable which convert the negative values to positive.If you enter -720 then it will convert 720 and you will get the 0 from first part.
=If([Column_Name]<0) Then ([Column_Name]*-1) Else [Column_Name]
Second part is if you entered the negative values then output should be in the negative.but with above condition you will get the positive values.
Again i have created the formula If([Column_Name]<>[Column]) Then "- which compare the object values and see if I have changed anything.
Like i have entered -720 so first variable will convert to 720 then in next formula it will check -720 is not equal to 720 (Which is not) then add - (minus sign) and same calculation else part if is equal then use the same formula which you have put.

Same BI query multiple times, different variable values ...

Hi all, Im having a problem executing a BI query multiple times, passing different parameters. What I did is drag & drop the query multiple times (from the "Find Data" section) and pass different variable values from the signal-in of the nested iview that contains all of them, everyone has its own chart view. The problem is, only the first occurrence of the query is showing (only the first chart). I dont know if there is a restriction, or if I am missing something.

Syntax to export 18 months of data at any given time using variables?

I have written a calculation script for exporting data from an application using DATAEXPORT. I want to get 18 months of data in my exported text files at any point of time. So, I want to specify the range using variables for Period and Year but I am kind of stuck on how should I be writing it in my script.
Please let me know the correct syntax using variables or if you could share some link that would help me know that would be a help.

If I follow what Robb suggested then like you mentioned when 3 years will be involved its going to be difficult I guess. Not sure at this point which way would be the best to get this work.
I agree with CL - 18 months rolling forecast can be annoying seriously.
Can one of you please suggest me a permanent and most efficient solution for this out of all the ideas that would not require manual work and can be automated completely?

Time Zone Variables in CustomSettings.ini

I am trying to automate a Windows Deploy and am having trouble getting the correct time zone set when I have select Time Zone and Computer Name set to OFF in my custom settings.ini.
Currently, I have a section in the customsettings.ini that is something along the lines of:

as we are using the mdt database to pre-stage the computer name based upon the mac address, and the 1st 3 characters designate the office location. Then I have another section afterwards for each possible name:
[XXX]
TimeZone=Eastern Standard Time
TimeZoneName=Eastern Standard Time
As an example. However, I notice that when I have SkipComputerName=YES and SkipTimeZone=YES it defaults to the basic time zone. Is this behavior that anyone else has noticed? If so, how did you overcome it?

Upon further investigation, I notice that the time zone is set properly but the time is not adjusted correctly. Is there perhaps a way to adjust this?

System Time - TimeZones

I have some problem with sys time in JRE:
On server in Romania (Win 2000 Eng, TimeZone Bucharest GMT+2)
The local time that I see near tray is properly !
But All Java applications have logs with time put forward by one hour ! Lets say that now is 12 o'clock but in application we see 13 o'clock.
I wrote some simple application that displays local time and set TimeZone for sure, it compares Romanian time with Polish:

Hi the problem was in bad configuration of the system, somebody changed settings of timeZone and set
Automatic adjust clock for daylight saving changes. to TRUE !!
That was the key.

Performance Analysers for ALBPM Processing Times

Do we have any performance analysers for albpm, which gives us an accurate time taken by each of the automatic activity, for loading of forms, on submission of forms etc? We need to measure the performance of our application on a server, to see where the delay is happening.

For your queries:
If there are several data sources on one query - is the query execute once or as many times as I have data sources? - You have the option to Refresh All - this action will refresh all the queries in your work book with one click.
Is the processing done parallel or sequential - can I influence the processing? - Yes, you can influence the processing in sequence by refreshing only desired query at a time, right click on active cell by placing with in the query region and select Refresh option.

Location Services always ON with Auto Date/Time/Timezone ON

iOS5 lets you see the Location Services (LS) indicator in the Status Bar when system services are using LS in addition to when apps are using LS. I turned this ON (Settings > Location Services > System Services > Status Bar Icon) and immediately saw that "Setting Time Zone" was using LS.
I went into Settings > General > Date & Time and saw that "Set Automatically" was ON. As soon as I turned it OFF the LS indicator disappeared.
Does this mean that LS is always ON when you've got auto Date & Time on? It looks like that to me...
Anyone else seeing this? I wonder whether this is an iOS5 bug or whether it's always behaved like this?

Hi All,
I checked my friend's IPHONE 4S. Date & Time->Set Automatically is set to ON and in Location Services-> Setting Time Zone is set to On but it does not use GPS regularly but my Phone does I have tried everything Setup as new, erase all setting, reset all settings, reset network settings and restore from BACKUP. My Problem is persitent. The Only difference I notice in my mobile and friend's mobile is that he bought from Saudi Arabia and I bought from Australia (though it has been swaped by genious bar). He is using Telstra and I am using Vodafone. both has 9A406.
Hard to figure out what is this?

Iphone Time/Timezone bug.

I have an Iphone that is having some odd time bug. It appears to wind up 15-20 minutes behind, and when I toggle "Set Automatically" in Date & Time it will go five or so hours behind then correct itself to the proper time, then eventually wind up minutes behind again. The person is hesitant to restore their phone because they will lose some content. Any idea what could be causing the issue? The phone is a Iphone 5c with Ios 7.1.1.
