Alert in case of errors in XI tx sm58

Hi,
we discovered that we sometimes (not more often than once a month) have errors in XI tx sm58, e.g. when a target SAP system has been down and idocs have not been delivered.
Is there an easy way to monitor sm58 and send e.g. an email in case of errors?

Hi,
May be you can have a check on "ARFCLOG" table so that you can generate the alert.
for the blocked/Queued IDocs.

In the past I have used a simple app that uses the api to log in then log out of essbase. This was then wrapped up in a batch file, or shell script. If the app returned with anything other than a success retrun code it would send a page to the admins.
I guess you could do the same with a maxl script, write out to a log and parse for errors.

[CS3] Is there a way to stop the modal alert on EVERY SINGLE ERROR during a bulk update?

I've inherited quite a mess I'll admit -- I've got ~ 8000 pages each with different dreamweaver templates with the entire site being in a varying state of disrepair. I need to perform a global change -- I'm thinking the way to go about this is to update the templates (thre are ~40 of them, not nested) and let the process run through. However, I've encountered difficulties.
After about ~2300 files loaded into the site cache, dreamweaver crashes -- there is no error, it's an unhandled exception.... it consistently crashes at this point. I'm not sure if this is a specific page causing the problem, or if it's that I'm trying to load 8K files into the site cache.... So anyway, with it crashing consistently trying to build the site cache, I basically press "stop" whenever it tries, and that seems to abort the building and the 'update pages' screen comes up and tries to update the files.
My next problem is that there are countless errors in each of these pages and templates -- ranging from the 'template not found' when an old or outdated file is referencing a template that has been deleted -- to various mismatched head or body tags. Of course, and this is probably the most annoying thing I've ever encountered, this bulk process that should run over 1000s of files without interaction seems to feel the need to give me a modal alert for every single error. The process stops until I press 'OK'
I'm talking update 5-10 files, error... hit 'return', another 5-10 files are processed, another alert, hit 'return' -- rinse and repeat. Oh, and I made the mistake one time of hitting 'return' one too many times -- oh yes, this will STOP the current update because default focus is on the 'Stop' button, for whatever reason. and if I want to get the rest of the files, I need to run it again -- from the start.
Is there a way to silence these errors? They're already showing up in the log, I wouldn't mind going through it once the entire site has been udpated to clean thing up ... but I'm updating quite literally thousands of pages here, I would wager that 1/3 of them have some form of an error on it... do I really need to press "OK" two thousand times to do a bulk update with this program?
Any tips from the pros?

Updating database table based on BAPI response in case of error

Dear Experts,
My scenario includes pulling records from database stagging table, and push one record at a time to BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE.
I am using sender JDBC adapter(with select query and update query to mark records as processed).
My question is : Once XI selects records, immediately status is updated in stagging table for the selected records as processed. what if BAPI could not create document? In this case I need to update status of that record as "Not processed".
What should I use?
If BPM, then please tell me the steps.
Is this possible without BPM?
What are the chances of failure between XI and BAPI?
Please provide your inputs.

It would be good if you can provide your inputs.
Stagging table records status:
Flag = 0 (XI will poll records)
Flag = 1(XI has polled records and XI will se tthis flag by JDBC adapter)
Flag =2 (should be done based on response from Proxy Tables parameter) Proxy will set tables parameter which will include info on error message and type.
(Now based on new requiremets: for error records status should not be reset to 0 so that XI can poll records again, now stagging table should contain error records(for which proxy can not create notification in SAP) with error message and status flag 2)
Now scenario would be JDBC to Proxy.
Polling interval for JDBC adapter should be 1 minute.
So I think status 0 to 1 will be done by XI after immediately selecting records.
But how about Status 2 that has to be set only for error records only and with error information.
I have to update stagging table records with status 2 and error info based on proxy table response. How this can be done?
This updation will be done in case of error only.
I was thinking this aproach:
We can have two interfaces.
First interface will be jdbc to proxy:
JDBC adapter select and update records with flag =1 and then send to proxy call and create document in SAP. At SAP side if document can not be created then they will store that error info in some table.
Second Interfgace:
Client SAP Proxy will periodically run and send these error records info to XI and XI will update stagging table records accordingly.
Suraj, What is your sugestion in this solution? Do I need to use Responseonewaybean?

Alerts for SXMB_MONI mapping errors, RWB errors

Hi,
We are having solman 7.0 with EHP1/oracle on HP-UX.
I have to configure CCMS alerts for SXMB_MONI mapping errors, RWB errors for PI system(SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.1).
I cant find any MTE related to SXMB_MONI mapping errors or RWB errors under the PI system in my CEN.
So, can anyone please guide me to configure this?

Hello Nanda,
you have to configure ALert Categories in the Alert Framework (ALM) before any MTE are shown in CCMS. And then you would see the MTE in the local CCMS of your PI system.
Configuration steps are descirbed in the PDF "Setup Guide for Interface Monitoring" under http://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information. In thisdocument you can also learn how the CCMS MTEs can be integrated with Business Process Monitoring in SAP Solution Manager. And actually BPMon provides some new monitoring capabilites for the Java part of PI that are not covered via CCMS at all.

In Oracle B2B if there is error while sending outbound or Inbound message, how can we resubmit the messages automatically.
Also is there any way to send the notification in case of error while sending the messages.

As far as Resubmittting is concerned, there are two ways by which you may resubmit a message in 11g -
1. Through UI (http://blogs.oracle.com/oracleb2bgurus/2009/09/what_do_i_like_most_in_11g_-_r.html)
2. Through Resubmit command line utility (http://blogs.oracle.com/oracleb2bgurus/2009/09/b2b_commandline_utilities.html)
Notification is not an in built mechanism in Oracle b2b. You may like to implement the same using BPEL. As Nitesh mentioned, by default exception/error message is enqueued to IP_IN_QUEUE and has the recipient name b2berroruser. You may develope a BPEL process listening for error messages (recipient name=b2berroruser), and perform required notification processing (EMail, SMS, Fax etc.) in that.

Business messages are not pushed back to the aq exception queue in case of errors

Hi,
I have the scenario, where I have configured the business events in ebs and implemented the soa interface which consumes the event message from wf_bpel_q.
SOA interface is able to pickup the messages succesfully and same message will be pushed back to the same queue with the status=READY in case of exceptions as well. Ideally as per default functionality of AQ, in case of errors, messages will be pushed to exception queue.
Please suggest why mesages are not pushed back to exception queue in case of errror scenarios with the status='Errored'. Please let me know what i have been missing here in the setup.

If u r using the standard message and basic type
u can do it in the FM attached to the basic and message type.There u need to write ur own message instead of standard SAP message..chek if there r any userexits available in the FM..where u can overwrite ur own message ..
If u r using the Zmessage and Zbasic type
then u need to declare an internal table of EDIDS structure and then append ur message to the internal table..
idoc_status-docnum = idoc_contrl-docnum.
idoc_status-msgty = <message type>
idoc_status-msgid = message-id.
idoc_status-msgno = message-number.
idoc_status-msgv1 = message-message_v1.
idoc_status-repid = sy-repid.
idoc_status-status = <give the error status>.
APPEND idoc_status.

The Alerts can be raised for Adapter Errors. If the File Adapter goes into any reason then you can raise the Alert.
YOu can configure Alert Rules for the Same.

FCP X version 10.1.1. When Sharing to DVD I get the following alert " There was an error burning your discd. Not enough Disk Space in Target Folder" I have 700GB   free. Where is this target folder located? how can I fix this problem? not space prob

Since starting with FCP X, there has been tons of issues, now that the product actually works with the exception above, makes it impossible to share the production. Has Apple fixed this problem. is there a knowledge base article on this?
On another note, One reason I have not purchased support on FCP X is because you sold a product that never worked for almost an entire year or more.   Now I can finally finish my project, I cannot share it.....Really. This has to be fixed now, I am loosing money as I typed this.

Just curious, why would repairing permissions, rebooting ( rebooted 2 times already today) or creating a new user possibly fix this.
I cannot create a new user, that is way too much work. I will repair permissions again, I repaired permissions just a few days ago. Then I will reboot, login and turn off App Nap and rerun the Share DVD.
There must be something seriously wrong with the OS if your are suggesting creating another user.   WOW!

Trying to archive but keeps saying "alert-there was an error while saving"

I have been trying to archive a dvd project in idvd6 but I get an error every time that says "Alert-there was an error while saving" The project never saves. I am trying to save this to an external hard drive. I have checked permissions and all say read and write. Help!!

In ALE/EDI, While maintaining Partner Profile(we20), if in case we want to notify more than one person in case of error, how to maintain it in the Post Processing: Permitted Agent tab? Can anyone guide me navigating through the steps on how to proceed with this?

first it asks for validation from date click it.U will get th einitial screen.
1.Enter the organisation name & description found at the basic data tab and press enter u can see that name will be diaplayed at the top grid.
2.In the tool bar of the grid u can see drop down box in that select staff assignment.
3.Now select createposition icon.
4.Now place the cursor in user field right click & select assign->user in that enter ur user.
Repeat the process to number of users.
Save it.

Configuring WLDF to recieve email Alerts in Case of Out of Memory Errors

I followed the documentation but i am not able to get it right. Do i need to write a seperate mailing program or just need to provide the email address in the console.

Custom Alert is throwing an error in APPS.GMS_INSTALL

1. We have created a custom alert and using Alert Manager we defined this new alert in applications.
2. In order to test this alert we navigated to Request -> Check and gave the Application Name, Alert Name and Start Date and submitted a new request.
3. To view this new alert, we have navigated to Request -> View.
4. The status shows Completed Normal, but when we click on view output, it is throwing the following error:
FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
ORA-06512: at "APPS.GMS_INSTALL", line 31
Did anyone came across this error message? Any input is highly appreciated.

So, you are saying that the method runs successfully in SWO1 but fails when run inside the workflow? If that is the case, then, something is missing in the binding. Make sure your binding is correctly done. There are several levels of bindings:
Method <-> Standard Task, and Standard Task <-> Workflow Template. Make sure the binding in both places is correct. Clicking the check button often times provides hints at what could be wrong. Keep special attention to passing header lines to internal tables and vice versa.
If you are sure the binding is correct, then, set a break point in the method. There are many ways you can do that. First, you can change the standard task to "foreground" instead of "background" and assign yourself as the agent. The task will then show up in your inbox. Executing it will take you to the break point. The second trick is to write an infinite loop in the method as follows:

WHILE l_char1 = '1'.
l_char2 = 'a'.
ENDWHILE.
What will happen is that when the task is executed in background, it will get stuck in this loop. Go to transaction SM50 to find the stuck process. Select that line then select menu option: Program/Session --> Program --> Debugging. This will open the debugger for you. In the debugger change the value of l_char1 to anything other than 1 and you'll exit the loop and be able to debug the rest of the code. If you forget to change the value and click F8, just go to SM50 again.

Promt from user to proceed in case of error in sql script in sqlplus

I am using Oracle 10g on Linux platform. I am executing a control.sql script from sqlplus from where i cam calling three *.sql scripts:

@01_alter_table_scripts.sql
@02_insert_scripts.sql
SELECT 'End of Control File at:'||systimestamp from dual;
SPOOL OFFI want that whenver there is an error in any of the three sql scripts, a prompt should be displayed asking the user if he wants to continue or not(Y/N). If he presses Y, then the remaining script shall be executed, otherwise execution should be stopped there.
Can any body guide me how can i do this?
