Alias name in Adobe Air certificate

How can I find out the alias of mycert.p12, generated by flash cs5?
The usual method, discribed in http://forums.adobe.com/message/3509620#3509620 and http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=CommandLineTools_5.html unfortunately doesn't work ... :-(
I found out the distinguished name of mycert.p12, using command "keytool -list -storetype Windows-MY", but
jarsigner -keystore mycert.p12 -storetype pkcs12 1.apk "CN=Alex,OU=Intergraphics,O=Intergraphics,C=RU"  generates an error "-keystore must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain".
But it must be the answer! Anyway, adt.jar from Flash CS 5 successfully use mycert.p12 to sign the *.apk! How can I find out the alias it use? I need it very much to sign and republish the application at Android Market.

Hi Tony,
I tried your test application out by running it 100 times on a Win 7x64 system.  Unfortunately I could never get it to crash.  I also took a look at your crash logs.  Here's the stack trace against the AIR 3.3 beta:
>
rasapi32.dll!_memset()
rasapi32.dll!_DebugInitEx@12()  + 0x2f bytes
rasapi32.dll!_DebugInit@8()  + 0x15 bytes
rasapi32.dll!_RasApiDebugInit@0()  + 0xc bytes
rasapi32.dll!_RasConnectionNotificationW@12()  + 0xb bytes
wininet.dll!InitRasWorkItem()  + 0x13 bytes
shlwapi.dll!_ExecuteWorkItemThreadProc@4()  + 0xe bytes
ntdll.dll!_RtlpTpWorkCallback@8()  + 0xdf bytes
ntdll.dll!_TppWorkerThread@4()  + 0x5a4 bytes
kernel32.dll!@BaseThreadInitThunk@12()  + 0x12 bytes
ntdll.dll!___RtlUserThreadStart@8()  + 0x27 bytes
ntdll.dll!__RtlUserThreadStart@8()  + 0x1b bytes
You'll notice that neither AIR nor Webkit are in this stack trace, which leads me to believe that you might be having a problem with your network stack.  Have you seen this crash on other systems?

  • Host name on SSL certificate did not match the alias name in the URL addres

    To the XI gurus,
    One of our vendors had problem to send us xml invoices because the url address had our server alias name and the SSL certificate we asked them to install had the server name.
    To resolve this issue, can we install two certificates (one has the alias name and one has the server name) at our XI server or we can only have one SSL certificate installed at any time?
    Thanks!

    Fisher Li,

    To my knowledge we can install  only one certificate.

  • What code signing certificate has to be added for Adobe Air Native Installer?

    Hi,
    I'm developing Adobe Air application. I need to digitally verify the application to add the publisher's name with the product. I did a little research and came to know that Symantec, Thawte, Comodo, Comodo-Tucows, Digicert, Godaddy and couple of others are doing this.
    Yes. I'm talking about the Code Signing Certificate. My question is, What code signing certificate has to be added for Adobe Air Native Installer? The reason is, The native installer will have an extension .exe ( Windows ) and .dmg ( MAC OS X ).
    These guys are providing certificate for Adobe Air. For instance, If the application is exported using Native Installer in Windows, The application will have an .exe extension. For this, Can I use the same Adobe Air code signing certificate or Should I go for Microsoft Autheticode ( for .exe ) certificate?
    Thanks in advance.

    I think comodo code signing certificate is one of the nice option to be added for Adobe Air, as i have seen comodo code signing certificate in other adobe programs. Recently i bought comodo code signing from https://cheapsslsecurity.com/comodo/codesigningcertificate.html, to sign one of my adobe application and it works fine, you can use microsoft authenticode technology with comodo code signing.

  • Adobe AIR app installation issue due to certificate problem on mac 10.9.5

    Im trying to upgrade and then reinstall an Adobe Air application but get the error message failing to install due to a certificate issue.
    The developer says the fix is to uninstall the app and install again but this also fails.
    Checked my machine clock - saved but that didnt work
    The adobe AIR uninstaller simply says I have the latest version? Cant seem to delete and reinstall although other adobe air apps work so I dont think this is the issue
    I have gone through the troubleshooting guide: Troubleshoot AIR installation | Mac OS but still have the issue?
    Any ideas would be great.

    I suspect your Mac OS install was an in place upgrade from an earlier version. This is something I would never even consider with a production machine.

  • Adobe Air Apps for OS X: Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer. // Code Signing on OS X 10.10 Yosemite

    Hi,
    I created several OS X Apps using Adobe Air. That worked quite well before. Now I have do update my OS X Apps - therefore I also needed update my certificates. [ I'm using Flash CC 2014 on OS X Yosemite 10.10 ]. But whatever I do it doesn’t work anymore. I always get this Message saying:
    Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer.
    I googled a lot and the only "guide" I found is this post (from April 2013) about code singing - http://scottgaertner.com/code_signing/
    I’m not used to deal with this kind of stuff (CA etc.) - so it's quite confusing to me.
    Would anybody please be so kind and tell me what I have to do?
    Is there any instruction from Adobe? (I didn't find one yet)
    A step by step instruction for absolute dummies would be great!
    Best regards and thank you in advance

    Hi Mukesh,

  • Adobe AIR 3 Performance Issues and Code Signing Certificate Problem

    I recently updated to Adobe AIR 3.0 SDK (and runtime) doing HTML/Javascript development using Dreamweaver CS5.5 in a Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit).
    The AIR app I'm developing runs well from within Dreamweaver. But when I create/package the AIR app and install it on my machine:
    1. The app literally CRAWLS running it in my Windows 7 12G RAM machine (especially when I use the mouse to mouse over a 19-by-21 set of hyperlinks on a grid) --- IT IS THAT SLOOOOWWWW...
    2. The app runs fine in my Mac OS X 10.6.8 with 4G RAM, also using the Adobe AIR 3 runtime.
    About the Code Signing Certificate problem:
    When I try to package the AIR app with ADT using AIR's temporary certificate feature, I get the error message "Could not generate timestamp: handshake alert: unrecognized_name".
    I found some discussions on this problem in an Adobe AIR Google Groups forum, but no one has yet offered any resolution to the issue. Someone said Adobe is using the Geotrust timestamping service --- located at https://timestamp.geotrust.com/tsa --- but going to this page produces a "404 --- Page not found" error.
    The Google Groups Adobe AIR page is here:

    Any ideas about these issues?

  • Testing adobe air applications with fake apple certificate in iOS simulator running in a hackintosh

    I can compile an Adobe Air application on windows with a fake apple certificate. Can I test this application in iOS Simulator running on a hackintosh? Or is the simulator blocking testing of IPA outside from XCode ie: it's not a standalone simulator for IPA files. Are there any affordable web service for testing IPA with a true emulator or real device? I'm asking this because Flash Builder doesn't provide a true simulator, it lacks essential API functions such as NativeWindow.

    Hello,
    thanksk so far. I can now create an ANE, hopefully it is correct...
    Now, while trying to use it in my mobile application, calling the Constructor of my SWC interface > call initNativeExtension() I get an:
    Type Error #1009 cannot access a property or method of a null object reference
    It seems that my code cannot load the ANE because I cannot instatiate the extension object.
    Can you help me ?
    THX

    Adobe Air SDK for IOS, I'm searching for a week  to get the certificate and provisioning files!!
    Please help me to get the certificate and provisioning files and I should pay to have these files.

    Apple doesn't provide support for third-party development tools.
    You need to post in the Adobe forums.
    You need a paid developer account to install apps on an iOS device.

  • TC Publisher ID for Adobe AIR - easier signing certificate?

    I'm was about to go through the burning hoop that is the
    signing certificate, when I found a link to Chosen Security's
    TC Publisher ID for Adobe AIR. I'm having a hard time finding
    any info on it other than their press release though.
    Has anyone obtained one of these? Its it easier than a thawte
    signing certificate?
    What documents are required?

    I just purchased a TC Publisher ID certificate and am a little stumped in getting AIR to publish with it.
    The TrustCenter marketing site's only instructional material for this product, as far as I can tell, is a link to the Adobe docs on using certificates: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappsflex/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ff0. html
    There's a little more info in this dev article, but not much: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/signing_air_applications_03.html
    Both these resources focus on Thawte certificates as a use case, and don't mention what to do if you're using OS X and a TC Publisher ID.
    In my own experience, I downloaded the cert directly to my downloads folder from the TrustCenter site. The certificate was instantly picked up by the OS X keychain. I used the Keychain Access app to  export a .p12 certificate file from the keychain for use in publishing the AIR app, but I get an "Error creating AIR file: unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer" when trying to publish with Flex Builder. Without any docs to turn to, I'm stumped.
    For people more experienced with keys and certificates this operation might be a no-brainer, but for somebody who is just getting into this there's not much support for the purchase-to-publish process.
