All Caps on a MessageTextInput Bean

Hi,
I have a requirement to dynamically make all the characters entered in a TextInputBean to be caps. For example if the user type 'a' it should appear as 'A' in the text item. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

I am trying the same, but it doesnt get converted to caps in UI, but it prints in jdev console...
also when I do commit, it doesnt save as upper case in tables either.... Any ideas ?
in PFR - catch the fireaction -
if("checkRevisionNumber".equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
if ((pageContext.getParameter("Revision") != null) && (!("".equals((pageContext.getParameter("Revision")).trim()))))
revNumber = pageContext.getParameter("Revision");
revNumber=revNumber.toUpperCase();
System.out.println("rev number after putting the rev number" + revNumber); --prints upper case
also before commiting the data i convert it to uppercase...
revNumber.toUpperCase();
am.getOADBTransaction().commit();

  • Would like to *not* use all caps

    Is this possible in the iWeb Comic Book template? I've played with different fonts, however, they all come up using all caps.
    Is there a way to change some of the text in the CB template into normal upper and lower case type?
    Thanks again for helping me twice today

    Type your text in a text editor like Bean, set the font type, size and size to the way you want it and then copy and past into the Comic Book template text box replacing all the text there currently. That should change the font to upper and lower case.

  • Drop down menu turning to all caps after clicked in browser

    Problem. drop down menu turning to all caps after clicked in browser, instead of staying upper and lower case.
    Originally, I made the drop downs in fireworks CS3. Then when I work with them in dreameaver CS3.
    It looks perfect UNTIL  ... after clicking on dropdown once, then go back to that page and that particular dropdown menu turns to ALL CAPS instead of what it should look like.
    How can I make it NOT do that?
    I did NOT do any special code that I know of to cahnge anything, I hav not experienced this problem before.
    Here is a link to my website I am designing.

    I need help to fix this problem. Thank You in advance.
    http://greenairenvironmental.com/3/Asset_Property.html
    I have attached the automatically generated .css file from fireworks that might be the  source of the problem.

    Take a look for this selector in your greenair.css  file:
    a:visited {
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-size: 16px;
        font-weight: bold;
        text-transform: uppercase;
        color: #9FCE62;
    and remove the text-transform.

  • How can I get the Cover Flow text to be in all caps

    I've only had one problem with the Cover Flow application for iTunes. All of my track names, artists, and album names are in caps on my library. When I switch to the Cover Flow view some songs are displayed with all caps, while others have the song and album in caps, but the artist is in lower case.
    I've gone through all of my files and all of them have been correctly entered in all caps, yet Cover Flow still does not display them correctly. I've even gone through every album, got info, and made sure everything was in all caps. Still no succcess.
    Any suggestions?
    How about creating an option button to control Cover Flow's functioning on the next iTunes version? That would be nice.

    Thanks, jere7my.
    In other words, I should always make changes to my song text with the Cover Flow view selected.
    I would never have the Cover Flow view selected while importing new albums, tracks, and artwork. I switched back to it after I was done personalizing my stuff. Thats when I started to notice they were still in lower case, even though I had changed them.

    You should be able to change your e-mail address from your provider ... then edit it to meet the Apple requirements.   Unfortunately you've given us no profile details so we can't tell what device you have.

  • Trying to create bookmarks but the text is in all caps

    We need to make bookmarks in a pdf. The previous versions of Acrobat (we upgraded to XI Pro) we could highlight text on a pdf, click bookmarks and the bookmark title would appear. Unfortunately the text is in all caps. If it possible to set it up so text won’t be in all caps?
    The solution is to manually retype each bookmark from all cps to regular text. But if there is a workaround Id love to hear it.
    Thanks.

    Organize Bookmarks was renamed to '''Show All Bookmarks''' back in the Firefox 4.0 version.
    Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks or { Ctrl + Shft + B }
    BTW, you will need to '''restore''' that JSON backup file, import is for HTML bookmarks files that were exported from a web browser.

    Use either Format > Font > Capitalization > All Caps or install the free WordService by Devon Technologies.
    I wish to write that in fact, only the use of WordService gives a correct result.
    Using Format > Font > Capitalization > All Caps doesn't change the characters, it just changes the way they are displayed.
    If you copy a group of characters treated with this menu item then paste into TextEdit, you will get lowercase characters.
    Its exactly the same behavior than the use of a format applied to number cells or date_time ones.
    A cell which display 12:34:56 contains in fact 12 janv. 2008 12:34:56 if it was entered the 12 janv. 2008.
    A cell which contain 123.6789 may be displayed as:
    123.6789
    123.679
    123.68
    123.7
    124
    All these displays are perfect.
    With computer we must always remember that what we see is not exactly was is stored.
    It depends of the applied format.
    Back to Word processor, we may apply "All caps", "Small caps" or "Title". The display will change but the contents remains unchanged.
    It's completely different of what we where accustomed to with AppleWorks which changed the contents itself when we asked it to apply the format "UPPERCASE".

  • ALL CAPS IN NAME APPEARS IN E-MAIL SENDER ADDRESS -

    I am trying to get rid of my name that displays in all caps in my G-Mail sender name along with my e-mail address.  Have deleted my full name everywhere I have found it and think it may be in my Apple and not in G-Mail.  HELP!

    Good work.
    Created new account (would not let me duplicate without deleting existing info)
    This is the field that has to be unique, everything else can be identical...

  • All caps display pattern

    Can I make a text field display in "all caps" regardless of how the user entered the text?

    In your script editor, at the top left hand corner, there is a drop-down which allows you to associate scripts with events for a particular field. So, if you have a text field, select it in your form and associate a change event script with it.
    Hope this helps.

  • ALL CAPS spell-check?

    Is there a way to spell-check ALL CAPS text in an Acrobat document as one can in Word?

    Here's what I am trying to do.  I have a form that I created using Adobe Livecycle Designer.  The end user will fill in the form fields in the dynamic PDF form.  One of the form fields allows users to type in free text such as a description etc.  As they are typing in mixed upper-lower case sentences the spell-checker highlights any misspelled words.  If the end user types everything in CAPS the spell checker will not work.  Microsoft Word has the ability/option to spell check all caps.  Acrobat apparently does not.

  • PSE 11 - all caps

    I use Adobe Lightroom but am new to PSE.  When I use the text mode all of my letters are in caps. Caps lock is not on. I did reset preferences on next launch and that didn't work.  Any help out there?  Thanks.

    It's possible that the font your using is all caps.
    Did you try a different font?
    What operating system are you using?
    You might try resetting the type tool by clicking on the area highlighted below and clicking on Reset Tool.

  • Text Field All Caps?

    I'm making an application form and prefer some of the fields to appear in all caps when a user types in information. Is there any way to make text fields font all caps? I looked under the font options but can only change the font, make things bold, italicized, underlined and a different size. Thanks!

    There are two methods to convert a field to UpperCase. Both are used on the Exit event, and JavaScript language should be selected.
    this.rawValue = this.rawValue.toUpperCase();
    or,
    var uc = TextField1.rawValue;
    TextField1.rawValue = uc.toUpperCase();
    I hope this helps.

  • Text Entry Field All Caps?

    Is there a way to make the text entry field show all caps as an end user types?
    Thank you,
    cgoebel

    Hi Lilybiri,
    When you say "after submitting", what does that mean? I need the text to show as all caps as the end user is typing...and can then retain it if the lesson requires using the Retain Text property.
    And since this may be possible via JavaScript, anyone have the script to share?
    Thank you,

  • Php/mysql all caps

    I have a php mysql insert record application built in
    dreamweaver. Is there a way to force or convert all inputted text
    to all caps? I tried a style sheet text transform, but that doesn't
    make the actual entry into the database all caps. Thanks.

    Admittedly though, that's pretty easy too.

  • Change small caps to all caps (was: Scripting help)

    Hi All
    I am working with an ID script in CS3 and I am trying to write some script (to add to an exsiting scipt that I am using) that will change small caps to all caps for some ID documents I am converting.
    Sorry it's probably very easy to do but I'm fiarly new to using scipts!
    Thanks for any help with this.

    Hi All
    Sorry as I said I'm new to using and writing scripts!
    The script (Java script) I am using was supplied to me by someone else and I am mainly just tweaking it.
    The script is being used to mainly find character and paragraph styles and change them from one style to another.
    As I have a lot of files with quite a few different styles to change the script is saving heaps of time.
    The small caps that I am trying to change are in a character style and I need to if possible change them to normal caps that isn't a character style in most circumstances although there are places where they need to be a certain bold or italic character style.
    The script is mainly using GREP search to find and change the various character and paragraph styles and the script I have tried so far is:
    grep
    {appliedCharacterStyle:"Chapter Small Caps (A+B)"}
    {appliedStyle:"All Caps"}
    {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false}
    Apply body Text Indent para Style to all.
    The small caps need to be changed in several different character styles.
    I hope this makes it a bit clearer what I'm trying to do
