All Downloaded Applications Are Crashing
Earlier today everything was fine, but suddenly all my downloaded applications crash within 10 seconds of starting.
Has anyone else had this issue? Better yet, has anyone had it and solved it?
I had the same issue today, and it seemed to be DRM related as I just downloaded an update of my app (should work also by downloading a new app) and the AppStore asked me both the email (was blank) and password. Then all the apps worked again.
So it seemed that the iPhone lost the DRM keys to decode the apps... After having downloaded the update, and so reentered the iTunes account infos, it seems that it got back the DRM key(s) and so all the apps were working again.
Connecting the iPhone to your computer with iTunes should also resolve this issue.

Sounds like a corrupted file in system software. Boot into Recovery Mode and run Disk Utility. Most likely it will find a problem and be able to correct it. Read about Recovery mode here:

You may need to reinstall OS X as part of this. I hope you have a Time Machine backup?

Just about everything crashes.
Help...please?How old is this machine? If it's less than 90 days old you have 90 days of Free AppleCare coverage, call them! You will find the phone number in your manual. If it's out of AppleCare or you bought it used take it your local Apple Store or AASP to have it looked at. We don't have enough information to know what the problem might be. You can run some tests such as Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode 2-3x to see if it has any hardware errors. Beyond that it's really tough to say.

i recently upgraded to Lion and i find that my computer is running slow and applications are crashing. For example I have Word 2011 for Mac and it crashes all the time I end up losing my work. It often happens when I'm in class using notebook and when I press record my computer starts thinking and it freezes.
Also, I feel that it overheats often and my battery runs out pretty quickly. I had the macbook (black) and this never happened before. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there is something with my computer.I bought my computer summer 2010, I don't think this should be happening. using the Notebook template, and doing some audio recording simultaneously. About 3 hours into the conference (not consistently recording, but on and off with the sessions) my file wouldn't save anymore, saying something like "File cannot be modified while in use with another program" and "Invalid file name" when I would go back into my folder to look for it). I tried installing some updates from Microsoft, and when I restarted, I was at least able to open my old notes again, and so far it looks like the audio was working. However, today at the conference, the same thing happened again, but I wasn't actively recording any audio (though after I had copy and pasted my second file of notes into the original, I went back to using it after re-naming it).
Does the crash happen to you under similar cirucumstances? The update might help a little, but it is definitely not the solution. Does anyone have any solutions? Lion shouldn't be this buggy... I moved to Mac to get away from the garbage of bugs and compatibility issues... -
Hello, Whenever I try to download Premier Pro CC I get an error message to close (CEPHtmlEngine, CEPHtmlEngine Helper). However, all my applications are closed except for Creative Cloud.
Terminate the processes in task manager/ activity monitor.

All downloaded applications disappeared during Sync
I sync my iPhone to iTunes every day. I have had the phone for a little over a month now with no problems. Today I plugged it in, synced as usual, but when the sync was done, ALL of my downloaded applications are gone, both from my phone and from the Application tab of iTunes.
The Application link under Library in iTunes still shows all of the applications, but when I plug my iPhone in, the Applications tab there is blank.
The apps do still exist in My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications
I have deauthorized my computer, and reauthorized it. I have shut down iTunes and restarted. I turned my phone off and back on. What else can I try to get my applications back?OK, I did an 'Add Folder to Library' and selected the Mobile Applications folder. The applications now show up again in the Device list, I clicked Sync, and the got copied back to my iPhone. Whew.
But now I have TWO of everything in the Applications section of the Library. There is only one physical copy in the Mobile Applications folder. I shut down iTunes again and restarted. The duplicates are still there. I tried Consolidating the library. Nope. Preferences hide the Applications folder, then unhide it. Nope, still there.
I am now going through the applications one by one, double-clicking on them, and doing a right-click Delete of the ones where the associated file can't be found. iTunes definitely lost track of the applications when I moved My Documents. -
Many applications are crashing since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS 8.0.2
Unfortunately my iphone 4s has became unreliable and unstable since I upgraded to iOS 8.0.2. I cannot even go back to earlier iOS 7.1.2.
Phone is now very slow and many applications are crashing. Battery is draining like anything.
I tried options from internet to save battery, but whats the point of having iphone if I have to turn off the features to save battery.
Some of the applications which started crashing since I upgrade also does not exists anymore on store to get the their support.
Apple - when will these issues gets fixed ? or am I suppose to trash this beautiful piece of hardware just because of firmware issues?

Most applications are crashing after startup!
Using 10.5.7 on a Mac Mini purchased last December (so not current generation, last generation).
Suddenly last night, most applications are crashing right after they go through their startup process.
-Cocktail
-Firefox (reinstalled latest version last night)
-iChat
-Safari is working but has crashed after being used for a little while.
-Disk Utility is working (and I've checked disc permissions and repaired them)
-Time Machine stalls on "preparing backup" but does not crash.
I tried deleting preferences for Firefox and iChat - didn't help. Reinstalled Firefox. Didn't help.
Tried the 10.5.7 combo update. Didn't help.
Haven't tried anything else cause I'm getting tired of all the crashing!Try the steps outlined in the following post. Although it was written for Mac OS X 10.4, it's still valid for 10.5...

I just used a firewire connection to transfer files from a PowerBook G4 to a MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro has lost all that was on it, and all the applications are opening like they have never been used before and asking for Rosetta. How do I find all my files on the MacBook Pro, or undo what I have done???
IGNORE the last post: he thought you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
Since you are using Snow Leopard, you need to install Rosetta. It can be found on your Snow Leopard Install DVD in the Options section.
Once installed all should be well again.
Also, if your computer is connected to the internet when the Dialog Box about PowerPC applications comes up, it MIGHT allow you to download Rosetta from the internet. There has been some discussion that Apple has discontined internet download of Rosetta into Snow Leopard.
Someone else will have to address your lost files problem. -
I cleaned up my mac and now all my applications are gone. I try to open them and it has a question mark on the app icon. Everything from System prefrences, Everything in itunes, iphoto, preview and mail? Please help
These question marks are on your dock? And you can't open applications from your dock?
If so, try this: Open a new finder window and navigate to the Applications folder in your hard disk. The applications in question should still be in there (the Applications folder). So drag each of the application icons that you want to be available on your dock from the Applications folder onto your dock, one by one. Take each of your question mark icons that are on the dock and drag them off the dock to get rid of them. See if that fixes you up.
Now, if your hard disk no longer has an Applications folder in it, or the Applications folder is empty, you are going to have to reinstall OS 10.6 then do a software update to bring you back up to OS 10.6.8. You may be able to just go to the "optional installs" folder on the installer DVD and maybe all the stock applications are there -- I don't remember and I don't have an installer DVD handy to look. That would be way easier than doing a full blown OS reinstall. Also, as I recall, if OS 10.6 was on the computer when you bought it from the store, I think there should be an "extras" DVD that has a handful of applications that could be reinstalled from it, too. -

All iwork application are slow to open and crash

I have just bought the latest iMac together with iWork09 (in the dvd box)
I did not encounter any problem with installation of iWork but
when I open either keynote, numbers or pages, it takes ages before the application opens.
In fact the imac goes into endless loop. I see the circle coloured pointer for minutes and i have to force the exit
I have also tried to delete the iwork09 folder and installed it again.
I have the same problem.
What shall I do?

tomAs Badunit said, your system likely isn't updated even though it is brand new. There are two things to do that solve a lot of problems with the iWork ’08 &/or ’09 apps in Snow Leopard.
First, use the Mac OS 10.6.4 combo updater. This fixes a problem with fonts that is not fixed using the delta update (10.6.1 > 10.6.2). You can apply the combo update even though your system is already on 10.6.4.
Second, make sure your iWork applications are updated. For iWork '08 that is Pages 3.0.3 & Numbers 1.0.3. For iWork '09 it's Pages 4.0.4 & Numbers 2.0.4. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '08 or iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08 or iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '08 or '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
Also, deleting the program's preference list is the #1 trouble-shooting step with any misbehaving application. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist, empty the Trash & then restart Pages. Repeat with Numbers & Keynote. This needs to be done for each user. -

you can download the mac os x recovery hd and run the setup to a flash drive using another mac computer running os x 10.7,(so that while installation the os x setup can varify your computer's serial no. and provide you the installation setup through internet)
or the time machine backup(if you have)
Now boot through the flash drive and follow the steps to install mac os x

Some applications are "crashing"
This just started today, but some app's on my iPhone are "crashing". The just quit and return to the home page.
App's that have quit include iPod, Google Maps, and Safari.
At least it does this gracefully. I will try restarting and see how that works for a day or two...I too, have had similar crashing problems, seemingly when a lot of info is flowing: maps downloading, YouTube downloading, Safari searching. Occassionally it coincides with email or text coming in, but not always, and maybe not ever. It's just that when I get forced back to the home screen I notice an indication that I have unread messages. I thought it might have to do with motion (obviously there's a sensor to detect when you have the phone vertically or horizontally) but yesterday I was holding it stock still and it returned to the home page. Arg. Will try the reset. Still in honeymoon phase of ownership and am overlooking these little "idiosyncracies".
