I bought a Sound Blaster Li've! 24-Bit today, hooked the hardware all up exactly as the manual said but when it came time to install the software, "Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Li've! card on your system. Please ensure that your Sound Blaster Li've! hardware is properly installed before running the setup program. Setup will now exit". Double-checked and nope the hardware is properly installed. Then I decided to look on the internet. They were all either way too complicated or suggested I reformat, which is out of the question, I bought this to listen to music not delete it. Besides, I reformatted a few months back. I'm no idiot when it comes to computers, but to be perfectly honest I have no idea what an IRQ or a BIOS is, and I shouldn't have to. Please help, many thanks in advance, sorry for the story format.

Did you uninstall your previous soundcard drivers properly? Did you disable onboard sound in BIOS? If so, then a reformat might be the only solution - sorry

I opened Adobe Acrobate XI Standard to create a form. I then selected From Template, which took me to Adobe FormsCentral Online. However, I think the form is an HTML web form. All I wanted was a regular PDF form that I could email my co-workers for an internal project we're colletively working on. Now I see that FormsCentral is going away and I can't get my doc to save as a PDF without an upgrade? Help
You should be able to log into the online Formscentral Acrobat XI air app and see your doc there. From there you would need to save it out as a PDF without a submit button to have it continue to work past July. If you don't see your online form(s) please let me know the adobeID you use to log into the service as well as the form name that is missing and I will look into it for you.

Can I force the bootcamp wizard to skip looking for the bootcamp drivers? I have already downloaded the latest drivers and loaded them on a FAT usb drive. All I want is for bootcamp to create the partition and allow me to install windows 8 pro.
The bootcamp drivers have been downloaded from apple's website. Filename: BootCamp5.0.5033
I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE: I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.

asdutoitThere is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up -
I have the find my ipod app on my ipod and i lost it somewhere in my home. is there a way to use that find my ipod fature from my computer? i was hoping that the loud noise would help me to look for it.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone
- You can also have to iPod play a sound via iCloud. -

The say that they need to send a message to Apple and they charge them for the device to be unlocked?. Can this be true that that Apple want money for that? No. Apple does not charge. It is entirely up to he carrier to set conditions and fees for unlocking.

All I wanted was a phone for my kid. Now thinking about switching despite ETF.
So after much discussion, I decide to let my son have a smartphone to replace his dumb phone. I was on the fence about leaving him on my Verizon plan, or going prepaid with another carrier. I'd decided to keep him on my plan, for the convenience, and the network is good. June 26, we went to the Verizon store (the kid has been counting the days). They don't have the Samsung S4 mini, and they can't give it to us for the same price as the web site, so the woman there convinces me to try to order the phone over the web for in-store pickup. She really wants a sale, I guess. We try and try, and finally give up. We had to have been in the store an hour. Kid is disappointed, but I figure, I'll just order it from the web site when I get home.
It doesn't work, doesn't work, doesn't work, and FINALLY June 27 (Friday) I am able to get through the order! But no option to pick it up in the store. Too bad, but they promise me they'll ship it overnight, so it's cool. This was getting on towards evening, so I wasn't expecting to get it Saturday, and I didn't. But I didn't get it Monday, either. I checked on the web, and it still says the order is processing. So I call. I wait on hold for quite a long time, finally speak to someone, she's not sure it it's shipped, so I ask if I can pick it up in the store if it hasn't. She puts me on hold for quite a long time, and then comes back and says, it has shipped, via FedEx, so no, you can't pick it up in the store. You'll get it tomorrow.
Today, TUESDAY, I checked the site, and got a "still processing" message, and then finally a message that it's shipped, with a FedEx number that FedEx doesn't recognize. Got home, no phone, no slip from FedEx that they left the package somewhere, FexEx site says the number isn't valid. So I call. I was on hold for at least 40 minutes, because they're experiencing "higher than normal call volume" (yeah, I'll bet), and WHILE I'M ON HOLD I get an email that my order has shipped, via USPS, with another tracking number that isn't valid. Finally I get a human, who takes my info, and puts me on hold for a long time. He comes back and says, your order has shipped, via USPS, and he doesn't know when I'll get it.
So my question is, what the HELL is going on with you guys? I've never really had an issue with you, I have been a customer for about 10 years. But this is ridiculous. Why would someone tell me my order had shipped when it hadn't? What is even the point of that? Why do you say you're going to ship my order overnight and then not do it? Not even process my order for days? Not try to fix it when I call and you realize it's all messed up? I'm so mad, I might go with Ting, they'll give me a credit for your early termination fee. It's the Sprint network, but I've got friends who swear by it. I'm so mad.I was in the exact same situation. I completed the order online, waited five days, and eventually called them back to be told that my order was still processing. I told them to cancel it, and I would retry. I ordered it again the next week, and it all happened again. They offered to escalate it and have it processed manually, but it could take another 48 hours. I told them to forget it.
The next week, I activated a single line on my own account. It worked flawlessly. I ordered around 4:00 PM, and it showed up around 4:00 PM the next day. The difference was that I activated a single line on a new account, as opposed to activating another line on another account.
It was a headache, and believe me, I know how you feel. Verizon representatives are more of a headache than they are actual help. Their hands are always tied, and everything has to be escalated. -

"We" can't send you a passcode as we aren't Apple and Apple do not operate in these forums providing support, rather it's other users of iPad, just like you. As a sidenote, if you have just upgraded to iOS 7 during the mini setup process you are asked to CREATE a passcode as part of the setup process.

After upgrading from 7 to 8 my iPad 3 will freeze using email, safari, games. I never ever had a problem before this upgrade. Have done all the temporary suggestions but nothing is a permanent and will come right back. I am so sorry that I upgraded, can not go back. I really want to thank the IOS guys for screwing everything up. Seems like old times with the Microsoft Tech guys. I have no problem with my iPhone 6 Plus phone.
It seems to be caused by roboform 7.5.1. I upgraded to the latest version of robo and it's working now. Sorry mozilla, not your fault.. very frustrated.

HELP i just could not figure out how to find the answers to my security questions, and i do believe that the questions used to be "who was your first teacher" and "who was your favorite teacher" but now the second one is "where did you and your partner go on there first trip together, so now i'm wondering if i dont even have the answers anymore! why, have you changed the questions, and i really am having trouble following the help pages. i need help, it wont let me buy any songs or apps, so i've been saving the links and names to songs.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them : go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account, then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use. -

I got a new mac last week, then bought creative cloud. I wanted my plug ins from my old mac switched over, but the whole lot migrated over. My computer now has my old CS6 in it, and I want to get creative cloud back. Problem is I have different sign in id's and can't seem to access my creative cloud at all. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I have a older ipod mini which needed a battery, so i also upgraded the drive to a 32 GB flash drive. When i did the upgrade, it saw the itunes fine, but it never loaded anything. When i unplug it it shows the folder with "!" icon, and i can't get my itunes to see it. I have a powerbook 667 mhz g4 with itunes 10.4.11, so i can't upgrade to leopard. All i wanted was a better battery and a bit more song volume. This older 4 GB will fit back in and works fine, but i'm upset i spent $37 to only fail. What am i doing wrong? itunes is 4.7.1 How can i over come this?In Disk Utility, select the iPod (the device) in the sidebar. So, if you see the iPod in the sidbar with a "volume" indented below the iPod, select the "device" (not the volume).
Go to the Erase tab to the right. The choice for Format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Name does not matter, because iTunes will rename it during the Restore. Click Erase.

That may be an issue with the USB connection. As a test, shut down (power off) the Mac. Disconnect other USB devices including USB hub, except for standard USB keyboard and mouse (if normally used). SInce this is a laptop, connect it to its power adapter, so that it's not running on battery power.
Connect the iPod to a direct USB port on the Mac. Note if there is any difference regarding the iPod not maintaining a connection. -
DVD "Play All" Button Only Works for Two Clips
I have Castle Season 1 on my computer and thought it would be nice to create a DVD of all of them. I have a "Play All" button and an "Episodes" Button. Both seem to be registered as a button (Havn't linked the "Episodes" button yet)... I'm hoping to get the "Play All" button to do just that, play all of the episodes in a row, and to do that I have them linked by end action in a row with the last one going to the 'Last Menu'. It works for the first two episodes and then when I click the next chapter button (In the built in DVD 'emulator') after the second episode it goes back to the menu. To see if there was a difference in settings I switch between the first and second episodes to detect any setting changes, and there were none (Except the end action was set to different episodes). I am at a loss on what is wrong.
If screenshots or settings need to be posted just let me know, and I would be happy to post them.

1.) The buttons don't animate when selected. On a DVD player, there would be no way to tell the difference on what I had selected, is there any way to remedy that?
In the Menu Editing Panel>Properties>Motion area, you can check Animate Buttons. This will show the Thumbnails as animations.
For telling the user which Button has been navigated to, one uses Sub-picture Highlights, which are only 2-bit color. Are you using a Library Menu? If so, which one? If it's a Library Menu, the Buttons should have the Sub-picture Highlights Layer in each Buttons Layer Set. If you created the Menu from scratch, did you add a Sub-picture Highlight?
2.) I want to add a video clip that will blend into the main menu, how would I go about doing that?
I do this often. First, I will go into Photoshop, and make a Flattened copy of my Menu, with the Sub-picture Highlight that the user will see (see above), visible. This will then be used in PrPro, as a Freeze Frame. In PrPro, I create the Video file that I want, and at the end, just add that Flattened PSD "Freeze Frame" from the actual Menu. This next part takes just a touch of math, but hang in there with me. We want a seamless transition from that Video to the Menu, so will use a Cross-Dissolve Transition between the Video on the Timeline and the Freeze Frame. We need to set the Duration of that Freeze Frame to just slightly longer than one-half of the Duration of that Cross-Dissolve. All we want is for the full Freeze Frame to be on-screen for a couple of Frames, as the Buttons will be dissolving in, and we do not want the user to begin pressing them yet, as they are NOT real Buttons, but just a graphic of the Buttons. I leave ~ 3 Frames, past the Transition. Remember, when you create that Freeze Frame in Photoshop, you want to make sure that the default Button's Sub-picture Highlight is exactly as the user will see it, when the real Menu comes up.
Export this Video (w/ that Freeze Frame at the end) from PrPro, as say a DV-AVI, and Import it into En as a Timeline. Set that Timeline to First Play, and its End Action to go to your real Menu.
3.) My C:// Drive is very small (60GB) as its just a boot drive SSD.
-3a.) Can I delete the cache without harming my saved encore file? (I only have 1GB left, and my system keeps acting up because of it)
-3b.) Is there a way to set the media cache to a different drive (I have three, and since using After Effects/Encore/Premiere the free space is shrinking at an alarming rate )?
This is a bit tricky. Do you ONLY have the one physical SSD? If so, you will seriously want to look into adding more. You can clear the Media Cache files (do not Delete the folders though), however, En will recreate them, when you begin working on the Project. HDD's are cheap, and for Video editing and authoring HDD real estate is very important. If you have more than the one SSD drive, please give us the full details of your HDD's, and how you are using them.
