Alter "Active Queries" in POWL

Hello,
I am running SRM 7.0 / EP 7.
Is there a way to alter the "Active Queries" in POWL for a page? For example, under "Strategic Purchasing" -> Strategic
Soucing, there are 4 lines of Active Queries, i.e.
RFxs
Auctions
Sourcing Templates
Document Output
Is there a graceful way of removing a line of queries, e.g. removing Auctions?
Thanks,

  • POWL: Hiding query from list of active queries in eRec workcenter dashboard

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP eRecruitment (EHP4) based on web dynpro ABAP. eRecruitment has work overview page (Recruiter role), which has two iviews (Search and Dashboard). Dashboard iview has two sections: Active Queries (Link Matrix) and Requisitions List. This is configured using POWL_UI_COMP. Query categories are: Requisitions, Postings, Applications, My Tasks and TRM.
Requisitions categories has 5 queries: My open Requisitions, Open Team Requisitions, Open Application Groups, My Draft Requisitions, and All Requisitions.
My requirement is to hide 2 of the 5 queries (Open Team Requisitions, Open Application Groups). I have tried activating/deactivating options in POWL_Query(r) transactions. Can you please let me know how to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Shyam

    HI
POWL_QUERYR is the required transaction for deactivating a query
delete the entry for the required transaction there.
and also Run POWL_D01 report for application id you want to hide.

  • Show my custom query under the Active Queries Section

    Hi,
I have created a Power list by implementing the interface IF_POWL_FEEDER and successfully tested the query in stand alone mode.
Now i want to show this query as a link under the Active Queries section of the standard POWL. For example;suppose when you click on Purchasing ->Purchasing Documents link you will first see a list of queries like below (underlined ones are actually the links). I want to show my Query also as a link in this section.
    Active Queries
Purchase Requisitions All Purchase Requisitions from last month (7)
Purchase Orders All Purchase Orders from last month (62)
Outline Agreements All Outline Agreements (108)
Request for Quotations All Request for Quotations (34)
Without Category Assignment Purchase Orders Ready for Release (0)
Could you please advice how to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Kumar.

    hI,
I have created my own Category and linked my Query, application id and the categoy. But still the link is not appearing. If i assign my Z category to one of the standard queries shown above, it is reflecting perfectly. For ex; if i assign my Z category to the last on the above list which has the decription as Without Category assignment, then it is perfectly changing to my description as shown below.
    Active Queries
Purchase Requisitions All Purchase Requisitions from last month (7)
Purchase Orders All Purchase Orders from last month (62)
Outline Agreements All Outline Agreements (108)
Request for Quotations All Request for Quotations (34)
MY DESCRIPTION Purchase Orders Ready for Release (0)
FYI i have added my entry in POWL_QUERYR transaction as below
Application id: OPS-BUYER-POWL-PURDOC-13 (ALL the above standard links are attached to this application id)
    Query id: ZPOWL_MYQUERY
    Category: ZPOWL_MYCATEGORY
    Activate: Checked.
Also could you please advice in which method of the feeder class do i need to write the logic? Do you have any sample code? Not sure if really need to write any logic as all i want is when the user click on the link it should open my Query.
    Regards,
    Kumar.

  • E-recruitment - Role based restrictions on Active Queries - High Priority

Requirement - Do we have an option to restrict the queries in recruiter 'active queries list' (work center) based on roles.
for example: Restricted recriter should not be allowed to view Back ground checks query. and Talent Groups query.
Version - E-rec 604 support pack 5. Webdynpro Interface, seperate front end and back end - candidate Scenerios #3 as per Note 1017866.
Request e-rec Pro's to post the solution, if they have faced this issue in there e-rec implementation exp.

    Hello,
You can check out transaction POWL_QUERYR. Through this you can specify the roles to be assigned to the role. Through transaction POWL_QUERYU you can even specify the roles to be assigned for a specific user. You can copy the specific roles required and assign them to the roles. Any role which is not assigned to specific role will appear to all the roles that have authorization to the workcenter object.

  • Grab activity - Queries

    Hi,
I was looking into Grab activity. I have few queries..
    1. Defined Grab - we have both in & out transitions. What value is added by Grab over here? For me it looks simple flow
    2. From all - After each activity in the process, instance will come to Grab but there is only one out transition from Grab. Not able to visualize how it is used in aprocess & how the fow(sequence) is managed
    3. From All-To all - Here actual process flow (as it gets executed) will be based on User choice for "To" from grab. Is it right understanding?
It will be really great if someone could give business example of how Grab can be used in a process.
    Thanks
    Sujata

How wud u do it using Global Interactive.. I mean PAPI code can only be used outside BPM .. I guess?
So where do u write this PAPI code and point it to assign a particular participant to a particular GRAB activity out of a number of participants in the same role i.e. manager?
Do you use a screenflow inside the Global Interactive and then use Prepare - Commit Methods or how do u call the PAPI code from a Global Interactive to assign the participants to a GRAB activity at runtime?

  • How to make Queries in POWL visible and Invisible based on the role

    Hi Experts ,
By default in RFX and Auctions tab in SRM we are having 2 Queries
    Query 1 : EBids
    Query 2 : EAuctions ..
Now my doubt is If the supplier logs in then the Eauction queries should be invisible .
For remaining Users it should be in Visible Mode
Is it possible to do this by using TCODE : POWL_QUERYR
    or
otherwise should we have to do it in Feeder Classs ..
Pls let me know how to do ??????
    Thanks ,
    Sandeep

This add on might make the icons bigger in Firefox, but it will take away any labels: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/iconic-firefox-menu/?src=search]

  • Hiding of queries for perticular roles in POWL in SRM7.0

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to hide the certain queries in POWL for perticular roles. I have maintained the entries for the roles through transaction POWL_QUERYR but we are not able to see the desired results.
Also tried by running the report POWL_D01 but this report will delete the queries based on the users.  Our requirement is to show or hide certain queries to all the users with a perticular role.
    Kindly advice.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vishal

    Hi Lavanya,
    Thanks for the reply.
We are following the below approach for hiding the tabs "Team Shopping Carts", Invoice/Credit Memo" and Confirmation Team Shopping Carts".
    - Defined a new application id Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS.
    - Maintained the entry in POWL_TYPER with the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS and type for confirmation and shopping cart along with the role
    - Maintained the entry in POWL_QUERY with the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS, role and activated the activate check box
    - Assigned the application id to the role authorizations "authorizations for Personal Object Work List (POWL) iViews"
When I run the report POWL_D02, I can see that for the application Z_SAPSRM_E_CHECK_STATUS the queries shopping carts abd confirmations are active.
But when I run the report POWL_D01 with the above application id I get the result that no queries found.
Please let me know if the approach that we are following above is correct. or do we need to maintain some more things to accomplish this.
We are defining are our own application id's because we need to hide queries for many transactions, so in our defined application id we will include the queries that needs to be displayed and will assign those application id in the roles after carrying out the above steps.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vishal

  • Authority check POWL queries

    Hi all,
is possible to hide some queries in POWL depending on the user's roles ?
For example; in tab SRM Administration I want that all users can use the queries; "Suppliers", "Bidders" and "Contact Persons" ... , but i want that only some users can use the queries; "Locations" and "Employees"...
    is it possible?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi RM,
Yes it is possible....you can restrict the POWL query based on roles or users..
Please check the below mentioned SPRO Path
SAP Implementation Guide-->SAP Web Application Server-->Cross-Application Components-->General Application Functions--> Generic SAP Business Suite Functions-->Personal Object Worklist-->Define Query Visibility at Role Level----->Execute
    or transaction POWL_QUERYR  .
Here you can define the quesirs for roles.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to create queries on portal

    Hi,
We have implemented Buyer business package on portal and all the ABAP views are coming up fine. For the POWL views like "My Vendors", My Materials" there is an option to create a new query and then view the results in the table based on the query.
Now this step of creating query is coming up for a particular user. But for certain users the view shows message "No active queries" and there is no option to even create a new query.
Please let me know what authorization do I need to give in ECC so that they can get this option of creating new queries.

That User may not have the authorizations on that InfoArea and MP, so check it. See SAP help on Roles and Authorizations.

  • Doubts in POWL Feeder Class

    Hi Gurus,
We are building an application by integrating the POWL and custom Webdynpro.
As we all know there is a Feeder Class which helps in achieving our requirement.
I have few specific queries regarding POWL Query which are listed below. Can somebody please clarify these.
    1. Should we delete and create the query again every time we modify the Query Parameters in IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_SEL_CRITERIA.
Even clearing POWL cache in the report  POWL_D01 didnt alter the Query Parameters.
    2. Should we refresh C_SELCRIT_DEFS before populating our selection criteria. I have observed that when we run for the first time, Values added in the
C_SELCRIT_DEFS does not reflect in the application.
    3. Whatever value we set in C_DEFAULT_VALUES will be available in the first run itself in the method IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_OBJECTS or not.
    4. We have added a drop down type field on the query. An empty entry appear always. How to remove this and set one of our drop down value as default always.
    5. Can someone explain POWL Cache overview. When to refresh this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vinay Mutt

I also hope I can know how to do .
Pleae tell me if you have solved the problem .

    4. Purchase Requisitions to be assigned
    5. Purchase orders on hold.
I do not want to show "Purchase orders on hole" active query on portal. How can I remove this active query ?

  • POWL with workflows

    Hi all Gurus,
I have seen a lot of threads regarding POWL with workflows and I have also seen on SAP wiki that u201CPOWLs are most suited to assignments that are not a part of a workflowu201D. Does this mean that it is possible to use POWLs with work flows?
Or does this mean that POWL has distanced itself from workflows? Does POWL only fit to plain examples where the employee has one manager to send his / hers approvals to? At our customer there are sometimes scenarios where the employee creates five different travel expenses and send it to five different managers for approval. To use the POWL for this scenario we have to add the user to all 5 managers or we have to change the approval process for the managers so only one of the managers can approve the travel expenses. We would like to avoid changing the approval process so in worst case we will probalby go back to UWL but isnu2019t there another way to get it to work with POWL? As it is now we canu2019t see how we should replace the UWL with POWL as a work list for approval of working time, absence and traveling.
I am looking for a solution or just inputs on this.
    Best regards
    Daniel Jadeholt

    Hi Daniel,
in my company, we are just about to implement travel management and had the same discussion ( also with consultants ). We also discussed different technical approaches... and when it comes down to the scenario you mentioned, i.e. five different managers for five different travel requests/expense sheets then POWL does not suffice; there was one particular K.O-criterion. Example:
Employee A creates a travel request for January which needs to be approved by manager B.
Employee A creates a travel request for February which needs to be approved by Manager C.
Both requests are posed at the same day. Date-restriction in POWL can't prevent both, the manager X to see what he's not supposed to see (and able to approve to boot) or at the otherhand Manager Y can't see the request he needs to see due to date restriction.
For the approval scenarios we now use the workflows and subsequently UWL because you can differentiate much, MUCH better for complex approval hierarchies etc.
In my opinion, POWL isn't suitable for approval scenarios in bigger companies... the concept is interesting but too loose. On top the option for POWL users to alter their queries/lists etc is scarcely applicable in my opinion.. But it is nice for simple selections like in FITV_POWL_TRIPS and the reusability concept is great too..
I'll see if I find my old thread where I discussed this already..
    EDIT: Found it: http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2079902&tstart=0

    Hi,
Run your Query in RSRT in debug mode( Select SQL Query ). Try to analyze where it's getting failed. You can even analyze the dump in ST22.
Check the definition of your Infoset joins.

  • Windows ... preventing activation, 0xc004d302, trusted data store ... rearmed

    Dear all
We're using a Windows Server 2012 R2 (DC of a Domain) and WDS (Windows Deployment Services) to deploy a Windows 8.1 edition with a MAK (Multiple activation key).
Deployment works by PXE booting and deploying the original install.wim (from the .iso) from the WDS Server.
If we try to activate the deployed Windows on the client PC we experience the following:
    1. Activation in the GUI ends with error "Windows has detected a change to the system files that is preventing activation."
    2. Command line, slmgr /dli ends with "Error: 0xc004d302 on a Computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run slui.exe 0x2a 0xc004d302 to display the error text"
    3. Command line slui.exe 0x2a 0xc004d302 ends with the error "The security processor has reported that the trusted data store was rearmed.
    Hence we cannot activate Windows.
Our Windows copy and our licenses (MAK key) were purchased thru official channels.
We urgently need this to work.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Dominique, Zurich, Switzerland.

    Hello,
Are we running slmgr /rearm?  You may see this error if slmgr /rearm was run and the machine was not rebooted after that and then activation queries or attempts were made.
Also check the permissions on the \Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
    cacls %systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
    post the results.
