Alternate ID and Alternate Email Address

Hi,
I've got an Apple ID from my mobile provider, a me.com alternate Apple ID and an icloud.com alternate Email Address.
Now I'd like to change the alternate ID and the alternate Email because it's not possible to send mails with outlook or Windows Mail in this configuration.
It only works with my alternate ID but not with the alternate Address.
I kept using the alternate Address for years now, but since one or two months it has stopped sending.
Just the me.com is sending, but I don't want to send from this Address.
Is there anything I can do?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

IMovie and iPhoto App Store update has alternate email address for user name. how do I fix this??

The most recent updates to iPhoto and iMovie, that are in the App Store updates, has my alternate email address for my user name. I can't log into the update because I don't know the password. I have changed my user name to reflect the correct email address, but it still prompts as the alternate email address. Any ideas as how to fix??

If I have forgotten my security questions and am not given the option to send them to an alternate email address because I didn't have one set up at the time, how can I get passed this point? I'm sure I'm blocked out at this time from trying.

Somehow my alternate email address was changed and when I try to edit it says that email is being used by another account?

It probably really is being used by another account. That account holder may be you, or it may have been an Apple ID used at one time in the past, which again may have been you. Doesn't matter which. Once it's used, it can no longer be used by anyone, ever again.
By "already in use" it means that email address might be an Apple ID, or an "alternate email address" associated with any Apple ID that has not been deleted from that Apple ID, or a "rescue email address" for an Apple ID that also has not yet been deleted. Therefore if you have another Apple ID go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and using the "Manage your Apple ID" button, check your account for alternate email addresses. If that email address is present, deleting it will make it available to use for an Apple ID.
Rack your brain for any other Apple IDs you may have used in the past.

I've been trying to remember my security questions for ages, and I can't seem to remember them. On my Apple ID I have changed my alternate email address because the previous one was deleted, but when I go on the "Password and Security" page on my Apple ID and there is a link saying "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to ************@*******.com" but it is giving me my old email that does not match my current one on my Apple ID and no longer exists. I have been trying for very long to recover my security questions' answers, but Apple is not coping with me.

Note that the rescue email address is not on the "Name, ID and Email Address" page -- you need to click on "Password and Security" on the left side. Even after you do that, it may or may not be available. Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

Changing the alternate email address

My mother has the same alternate email address as my iCloud account, so I've been trying to change her alternate email address. However, when I go to manage my Apple ID on her account, there is no edit button next to her alternate email address. Also, when I go to mail settings on her iPad the iCloud account information displays my iCloud account as her email. Is there any way I can change this, as it's very annoying.

Forgive me. I mis-spoke. It is the "alternate Apple ID" that I need to delete or change. When my co-worker retired we bought him the iPad2 and in the process of setting it up for him it originally got set up using my email address because basically we didn't know what we were doing at the time. A year later I purchased an ipad for myself using my email. Now under my account name, etc..it shows MY apple id, my email address, and his Apple ID as the alternate Apple ID.

For some ridiculous reason, Apple won't let you use an existing alternate email address.
You have to first delete the alternate email address you want to use, then edit the primary address and enter the address you want. You'll then have to re-verify the address you just deleted and when it asks you to enter your AppleID, you use the new address.
I'm sure there used to be a 'Make primary' link next to your alternate email addresses. I guess that was too easy.
