Dear Experts,
How to created ALV grid in webdynpro Java application(CE 7.1.1 EHP1).
Is their any new UI element in webdynpro Java 7.1 ? I read in SDN this new feature in CE 7.1.1 EHP1.
Is it available in VC or Webdynpro Java ?
Please any one provide some help information about AVL grid.

Here is the solution :

lo_ui = lo_interfacecontroller->get_ui_info( ).

lt_displayed = lo_ui-t_displayed_elements.
check not lt_displayed is initial.
loop at lt_displayed into li_displayed.

ALV in webdynpro Java ??/

Hello All,
I read through the forums but culdnt find any reply for this.Hence am posting it as a new thread.
1) Can we use ALV grid functionality in Web dynpro for Java ?
2) I read thru forums and I found it says - ALV can be used in SAP GUI for Java. What does this imply ?
3) I found an application on our WAS (ABAP + Java) stack, under Web Dynpro applications named - sap.com/bialvsample. (Sample application provided by SAP)
But how do we come to know if its an webdynpro for ABAP for Web Dynpro for Java?

i dont think v can use ALV Grid Control in WDJ.....
ALV Grid Control can b used in the SAP GUI for the Windows Environment or the SAP GUI for the Java Environment. It is also possible to display the ALV Grid Control in the Web.
As a result of using ABAP Objects for Release 4.6A,v can use ALV grid control with WDA .......

Calling smartform and displaying ALV grid in ABAP WEBDYNPRO

Hi all,
I am new to ABAP web dynpro.I ahve few custom reports which are simple ALV list reports which I now need to convert to ABAP web dynpro application .
For one particular report,based on the selection screen input,I need to display the ALV list and when I select the records from the ALV list,I need to call a smartform on clik of a push button.
My questions:
1. Im using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' FM to display the o/p in my report.Is there any similar FM in webdynpro ABAP which will display my list in ALV GRID in my web dynpro application??/
2. How to call a smartfrm in ALV grid in web dynpro??

SAPGUI for JAVA 7.00 rev 5 - ALV grid problem

Hello all,
I've created simple program using editable ALV grid to edit custom database table in the dictionary.
After upgrading to rev 5 I can't delete any row from the grid. After clicking the minus sign on the grid toolbar nothing happens. In the release note for the rev. 5 is written that protected rows can be no longer deleted. But I haven't written any code to protect any row in the grid.
When run on SAPGUI 7.00 rev 4 or SAPGUI for windows 7.10 it works.

both in "BCALV_GRID_EDIT" and in "BCALV_GRID_VERIFY" which we use as testreports for editable ALV grid, I can select a line and delete it using the the "delete line" icon in the grid's toolbar running SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 5.
Can you somehow reproduce the issue with the mentioned reports (playing with the options)?
Otherwise we would need access to your custom program. Then it would be helpful if you could <a href="http://service.sap.com/message">create a message</a> on component BC-FES-JAV and make your system available to us.

Focus to a webdynpro alv grid column after report_element_t100_message

Hi All,
I have an alv grid on my view. When I click a button, I'm making some checks for editable cells and if necessary giving a message to the user by using report_element_t100_message method. After the message, I'm setting focus to the alv grid cell . If I don't give a message, my set_focus code works fine, but I must give a message , so how can I achive this? Isn't it possible setting to a cell after a message?

Editable ALV Grid column behavior under ITS standalone

Hello experts,
I have a straight forward implementation of an ALV Grid with 3 columns. Two columns are display only and the third is editable. My question only involves the editable column and its behavior in a web browser served by a standalone ITS server. The underlying data type is CURR. The enterable amounts are restricted to a format of 9.99. Even so, a web user can accidentally enter a non-numeric value such as 1.x0 . We have coded a data changed event handler to check the input value for expected amounts. The event handler logic readily identifies the non-numeric value and handles the exception. Although we have full control of the internal table value, there are two problems encountered within the web browser interface:
1) We cannot return the cursor to the problem cell to prevent the user from continuing before correcting the problem.
2) We cannot reset/change to displayed value to the original internal table value (it will only refresh after a save or refresh action). So the user has no visual cue that they've entered a bad value unless they pay close attention.
Running the transaction in SAPGUI, we can force the cursor back to the erroneously cell using "CALL METHOD alv_grid->set_scroll_info_via_id" . This technique does not appear to affect the cursor within the web browser.
After searching SDN forums and SAP documentation it appears that there is no way to programmatically control the ALV Grid active cell within the web browser interface. I'm wondering if the experts can confirm this issue? If that is the way it works within the browser interface could members please suggest "user friendly" approaches to notifying the user of a data entry problem? For example, is POPUP_TO_INFORM to only option? Perhaps there is a JavaScript routine that can enforce the edit format? Please keep in mind that the standard ALV Grid techniques that work in SAPGUI don't necessarily behave the same way in the web browser. I'm most interested in advice regarding the web browser using standalone ITS as it will be another year before we can leverage WebDynPro in this scenario.

ALV GRID Problem with reading contents

Hi there! I'm quite new with ABAP and I have some problems with the syntax of it. Maybe I should first describe my aim and then I'll show you my code.
1. I read contents from two database tables, called 'zbc_dan_registry' and 'zbc_dan_category'.
'zbc_dan_registry' has 2 columns: name, value.
zbc_dan_category' has 1 column: category.
Now I want to have an ALV Grid, that displays the contents of 'zbc_dan_registry' and one additional column with dropdown fields, where the user can select a category for each row. This is, what my code already does.
Now I want to save the contents of the whole table in a new table 'zbc_dan_registrz' (you see: 'registrz', not 'registry'!) with 3 columns:
name, category, value.
My problem is, how can I read the contents of the ALV Grid, with the user selected category for each row, and save them in an internal table? I've tried to adapt the code of "BCALV_EDIT_04", but I don't get it running.
Some detailled help would be great, you know, I'm really working hard to understand ABAP, but it's really hard for me. Thanks for your support and help!!

I need to include standard ALV functionality on a table in WD Java. I have to be able to change and save layouts, Sort, Filter table, calculate totals on integer columns etc.

ABAP List Viewer
The common features of report are column alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
This helps us to implement all the features mentioned very effectively.
Using ALV, We can have three types of reports:
1. Simple Report
2. Block Report
3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
There are some function modules which will enable to produce the above reports without much effort.
All the definitions of internal tables, structures and constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
1. SIMPLE REPORT.
The important function modules are
a. Reuse_alv_list_display
b. Reuse_alv_fieldcatalog_merge
c. Reuse_alv_events_get
d. Reuse_alv_commentary_write
e. Reuse_alv_grid_display
A. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY : This is the function module which prints the data.
The important parameters are :
I. Export :
i. I_callback_program : report id
ii. I_callback_pf_status_set : routine where a user can set his own pf status or change the functionality of the existing pf status
iii. I_callback_user_command : routine where the function codes are handled
iv. I_structure name : name of the dictionary table
v. Is_layout : structure to set the layout of the report
vi. It_fieldcat : internal table with the list of all fields and their attributes which are to be printed (this table can be populated automatically by the function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
vii. It_events : internal table with a list of all possible events of ALV and their corresponding form names.
II. Tables :
i. t_outtab : internal table with the data to be output
B. REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE : This function module is used to populate a fieldcatalog which is essential to display the data in ALV. If the output data is from a single dictionary table and all the columns are selected, then we need not exclusively create the field catalog. Its enough to mention the table name as a parameter(I_structure name) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. But in other cases we need to create it.
The Important Parameters are :
I. Export :
i. I_program_name : report id
ii. I_internal_tabname : the internal output table
iii. I_inclname : include or the report name where all the dynamic forms are handled.
II Changing
ct_fieldcat : an internal table with the type SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV which is
declared in the type pool SLIS.
C. REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET : Returns table of possible events for a list type
Parameters :
I. Import :
Et_Events : The event table is returned with all possible CALLBACK events
for the specified list type (column 'NAME'). For events to be processed by Callback, their 'FORM' field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field 'FORM' filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SALV.
II. Export :
I_List_type :
0 = simple list REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
1 = hierarchcal-sequential list REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
2 = simple block list REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
3 = hierarchical-sequential block list
REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
D. REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE : This is used in the Top-of-page event to print the headings and other comments for the list.
Parameters :
I. it_list_commentary : internal table with the headings of the type slis_t_listheader.
This internal table has three fields :
Typ : H header, S selection , A - action
Key : only when typ is S.
Info : the text to be printed
E. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY : A new function in 4.6 version, to display the results in grid rather than as a preview.
Parameters : same as reuse_alv_list_display
This is an example for simple list.
2. BLOCK REPORT
This is used to have multiple lists continuously.
The important functions used in this report are:
A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
Parameters:
I. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
II. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
III. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND
This function module is used to set the default gui status etc.
B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
Parameters :
Export :
I. is_layout : layout settings for block
II. it_fieldcat : field catalog
III. i_tabname : internal table name with output data
IV. it_events : internal table with all possible events
Tables :
i. t_outtab : internal table with output data.
This function module adds the data to the block.
Repeat this function for all the different blocks to be displayed one after the other.
C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
This function module is used for hierarchical sequential blocks.
D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
Parameters : All the parameters are optional.
This function module display the list with data appended by the above function.
Here the functions REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE, REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET, REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE can be used.
3. Hierarchical reports :
Hierarchical sequential list output.
The function module is
A. REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
Parameters:
I. Export:
i. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
ii. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
iii. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND
iv. IS_LAYOUT
v. IT_FIELDCAT
vi. IT_EVENTS
vii. i_tabname_header : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the highest hierarchy level.
viii. i_tabname_item : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the lowest hierarchy level.
ix. is_keyinfo : This structure contains the header and item table field
names which link the two tables (shared key).
II. Tables
i. t_outtab_header : Header table with data to be output
ii. t_outtab_item : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the lowest hierarchy level.
slis_t_fieldcat_alv : This internal table contains the field attributes. This internal table can be populated automatically by using REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE.

1->go to Screen Painter, choose the column which you need to make as drop down.
2->Click F2 to go tothe properties screen.
3->Select Listbox or Listbox with Key for the DROPDOWN field (3rd field in properties tab)
4->give value for the FCODE field also, to track the actions in SY_UCOMM when the user selects the value.
5->in the ABAP code, you need to include the logic to populate values for this drop down. You can use the function module VRM_SET_VALUES to populate the listbox in each line of the table control. The fucntion module has to be called in the PBO module, which is defined inside the loop...endloop statement in the flow logic.
6->for changing the values based on user selection, you can include the code in the PAI module, checking SY_UCOMM or OK_CODE.

Vendor open items wise ALV Grid Display (FBL1N) report to Excel Sheet

Hi All,
I need vendor wise open items and cleared items in ALV Grid format in excel sheet.
I'm Trying that in T Code FBL1N, After the execution. I had select ALV Grid format like this From the menu bar->Settings-> Switch list.
After that i get ALV Grid format, Then i'm doing export the data to excel sheet. like this From the Menu bar->List->Export->Spread sheet.
That time i'm getting Error Message no. 0K064, Filter criteria, sorting, totals and subtotals are not taken into account.
I want vendor wise sorting totals and subtotals,
How can i over come this Error please let me now.

How to create a calender view in webdynpro java EP 7.0

Hi ,
I want to create a calender view in webdynpro,
Requirments are
1. it should be current month view
2. Below each day i want to show office in-time and out-time in two cloumns(these values will be coming tru RFCs).
ie

10am | 4pm
Is this possible in webdynpro java EP 7.0 ?

Hi Kumar,
If you are using EP7.0, there is no calendar UI element in webdynpro development. There is only date navigator UI element. This is demonstrated in the below article.

First check is Java stack is running ?
make sure J2EE_ADMIN user not locked.
Ans please check password in secure area. check password in secure store should be correct.
