AMDP call to Procedure: "SQLScript message: insufficient privilege: Not authorized"
Hi!
the syntax check in SE24 reports an error in line 1 in method MY_HANA_PROCEDURE (pls see first screenshot below). If I remove the call to procedure ZTEST in line 247 the syntax check is successfull. Development in SE24 is performed by user ABAPDEVELOPER whilst the procedure ZTEST has been created by user HANADEVELOPER which has been assigned the schema (the procedure is not in schema HANADEVELOPER) to which the procedure belongs the procedure being called (ZTEST) to the 'Object Privileges' (pls see second screenshot below).
Any ideas out there?

please check if all necessary authorizations have been granted to SAP<SID> using report RS_AMDP_SICK.
Is the procedure you want to execute in the catalog, i.e. "_SYS_BIC" schema? Otherwise, you will have to grant the necessary authorizations to SAPHANAABAP (the DB user) for the schema.

Firstly it is **not** recommended to use SYSTEM for anything other than management tasks.
My Assumptions
* the procedure ART_PROC was not created by the SYSTEM user
Solution : you need to give EXECUTE privileges on the procedure to SYSTEM
How: Only the user who created the procedure or who has been give grant privilege can give the EXECUTE privilege. SYSTEM cannot give itself this privilege
For the Grant command check out sec 1.8.6.17 of the http://help.sap.com/hana/SAP_HANA_SQL_Script_Reference_en.pdf
OR
in the HANA Studio
in the System tab expand the system with the log in user as the owner/grantor of the privilege
here you will see a node called Security.
Right-click and choose 'Find User/Role'
Type System in the search dialog that opens - double click on SYSTEM user displayed below
System user opens up - Navigate to Object Privileges tab
here using the green '+' button search for ART_PROC and then on the right side tick the 'Execute' checkbox
click on save.

I am currently trying to create a table (TOPIC) and a sequence (SEQ_TOPIC_ID) in HCP, and a XSJS service on top of it to insert a entry to the table.
In my XS project, I placed a TOPIC.hdbtable and SEQ_TOPIC_ID.hdbsequence in it. Both table and sequence are generated correctly in my trial account schema in the hana db.
Then,in order to grant the access to the table and sequence , I also placed a file model_access.hdbrole in the project folder.
The content looks like follow:

The issue is, when I call the XSJS service from the web url, I will facing below error:

the role has been granted to my account, and I am able to insert to the table TOPIC without sequence with above role setting, but If I try to read the SEQ_TOPIC_ID, an insufficient privilege will shown up.
My question is: Is following line correct to grant the privilege to a role for sequence ? It does not seem to work for sequence !

Thanks a lot for your help, my problem has been resolved.
let me once again explain you what was the problem and how it got resolved.
Problem: when user was running tcode vn01, he use to enter the very first screen of vn01 but with pop up that u are not authorized to use this function.
although he was having the authorization for this tcode.
Solution: i gave sap_all to the user and after giving sap_all his problem got resolved, so it become confirmed that its only authorization problem
then i removed sap_all, checked related object of vn01 i.e s_number and its calling snum, i gave the authorization for snum and rnro but still he was facing the same problem
Then i created new role with only vn01 and assigned to my user id it was working fine, so i assigned the same role to that user but again his problem didn't resolved, then i created the copy of user and started removing roles one by one, other and for the role having vn01 authorization, by doing this problem got resolved and the role which was blocking vn01 to run come into picture, so i thought some tcode might be blocking this but it was not the case the role itself was blocking that tcode because i created the copy of the same role which was blocking vn01 and assinged to user then it was working fine and problem got resolved.
so what it concluded that might me the profile of that role was not created properly or may be it got corrupted or might be bug in ecc6.0

Hello Raj,
It seems that this user does not have proper authorization to perform Data Migration.
You need to go to the WorkCenter View Assignment for this user under his access rights & need to assign him the workcenter "Business Configuration" & under it, also assign him relevant access to Data Migration.
This shall fix the issue & the user shall not get this error while trying to perform Data Migration.
Steps:
1. Go to Workcneter: "Application and User Management => Business Users => Seerach for the suer who gets this error => Edit-> Access Rights => Click on Workcenter view Assignment tab & assign the above mentioned worokcenter access and save."

When I try to connect to db with sqlplus and not indicating SID it connets OK.

You didn't specify SID, you specified the TNS connection. A SYS (SYSDBA) connection via TNS is a REMOTE_LOGIN that requires additional configuration -- viz REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE.
Please lookup the documentation.

Error message -42408--computer not authorized
I upgraded my iphone software and now when i connect my ipod, the computer is no longer authorized. when i try and authorize i get message "We could not copmoete your itunes store request. an unknown error occured (-42408). There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later."
I have tried for 2 days, including "fixes" offered by itunes support to no avail.I'm having the same problem with iTunes 9.0.3 and my 2nd Gen Nano (running 1.1.3).
The problem is with the few (5) protected tracks that I have left in my library (m4p files that have not been offerred as iTunes Plus upgrades). I do not know exactly when the problem started; my Nano syncs to a smart playlist that rotates its contents on the basis of what has not played recently; it may have started anytime within the last 2-6 weeks, and I first noticed the problem one week ago.
The problem started once these files were rotated onto the Nano: after they had been moved onto the Nano originally, upon each subsequent sync, when the Nano and iTunes connect to each other, iTunes tells me, even though my computer is authorized, that
"This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPod. Would you like to authorize this computer for items puchased from the iTunes store?"
I click the "Authorize" button and, for the most part (at least for the first few days), iTunes would allow me to enter my password and then tell me that the computer was already authorized. Then, today, I too began getting the special -42408 message that loops me back to the original prompt.
I have no problems playing the m4p files on the Nano or on iTunes. So long as I can get it out of the 42408 loop that sends me back to the "Authorize" or not menu, the Nano will sync fine. Moreover, the same files will sync and play without any problems whatsoever to my iPhone 3G (3.1.3).

iTunes Store Customer Support advised me to deauthorize iTunes, delete iTunes Helper, delete iTunes, reinstall, and go, but this did nothing.
I did deauthorize and reauthorize iTunes about two weeks ago for an unrelated reason, and I do wonder if that could have triggered something. Again, I can't be certain, but this problem seems to have started after 9.0.3. -

You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.

Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads

The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). I made an insurance claim and had to get a new iPhone. I have the 5, not the newest 5s or 5c, the previous 5. When I am NOT plugged into my MacBook I cannot access "my library" of songs that are on my macbook. I can play them through my new phone if the phone is plugged into my macbok but not if I unplug the phone and try to play the songs while I'm away from home. Help!!! I do not see my new phone in the "managed devices". I've restarted the phone and macbook and upgraded to OS7. Nothing is working.

Import data from local file: insufficient privilege
As part of a project I'm working on, I have to load data (only a few thousand records) into a HANA Development instance on HCP. Last week I did this several times with no problem using File > Import from HANA Studio and choosing Data From Local File. Yesterday and today I get this message (most of the time, but not all the time): SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Not authorized.
Does anybody know why this might be and what do to about it?
Are there batch alternatives? I have not found any. The INPUT INTO statement also gives authorization problems.Thanks for Your replies.

Mahesh - I tried to changed cells' format in excel, but file is saved without changes (as csv).
Pandey - I read about DTW but I can't find it anywhere. Is there a site where it could be downloaded from?
Finally I solved this problem. After saving file as xls I could changed cells' format and save with changes. It helped - data '1-10-103' is imported correctly.
