An control application

Hello to all people,
I'm trying to monitoring a set of rotative machinery. I want to shut down the machine when a monitoring parameter like vibration or rotate velocity overcomes a established limit or level. I was thinking to use a switch to develop this aplication, but I'm not sure about this. I will be very greateful if anyboby can give me some guidelines.

I would agree that certainly a switch of some kind should be employed to control the machine's power. If turning it on and off by either applying or removing current is the only way to control it, then likely the best option would be to use an external relay controlled digitally by either a PC, PXI system, or programmable automation controller (e.g. FieldPoint). When all parameters are within limits, the digital line would remain high, thus closing the relay and allowing current to flow. However, once something goes wrong (rotation or vibration out of limits), the digital line would go low and disconnect the switch.
As far as a choice of platform, do you already have some equipment monitoring the machine -- or are you starting from scratch?

I am installing Unifier 10.1 under weblogic 12c. Everything went fine till deployment and logged in as Site Administrator to install the Project Controls application .While trying to install the application , after a certain period of processing time, I received a popup saying 'upa1 not found in unifier_bp' after which my install button got disabled and nothing was shown under Applications . However , I could see the company administrator was created and most of the BPs and workflows were also created . But I am not sure if everything got installed properly due to this popup received . LIN control application

Hello,
Is there anybody who have experienced and developed LabView LIN control applications. If so, please share a simple example. I am using a Vector CANcardXL and there is no example on their CD.

I also had difficulty using the Vector CANBoardXL with the vxlapi.dll drivers when dealing with LIN and the technical support at Vector was of no help. The LabView drivers they provided were only useful with the older bus independent functional calls (ncd*) and not the latest XL functions (xl*) required for the LIN specific functional calls so I created my own LabView library. I was successful in creating the LabView wrappers to all the functions necessary for my LIN application with the exception of the xlLinSetChannelParameters where I needed to create my own DLL wrapper to handle the XLlinStatPar structure. Let me know if you need more info.

Windows Update and UAC controlled applications not working

Hi I am currently using Windows 8.1 Pro. When I try to open windows update from control panel, the computer just freezes.
I tried to stop and then restart the update service from task manager, but it didn't work. Also, while doing this, I
think I accidentally disabled the Application Experiences Service. Now, any UAC controlled apps are not opening and any task which requires administrator permission is also not working.
PLEASE HELP!

It seems like system components corrupt, is there any error message when these tools doesn't work?
Please check Event Viewer if it identify this problem.
In addition, please try to use SFC /Scannow command to fix system file for test.

Detect recent installed unauthorized remote control applications

One day ago I allowed remote access control to my Mac Book Pro OS10.9.4 to a company pretending to be Apple Authorized Online Services. After discovering this was a scam I need to be sure that they didn't leave or installed any app (hidden or not) and if so, how to delete it to prevent them to access my Mac again.
It would also be helpful if there is a way to find out which information they may have accessed during the mentioned "session".

Can you post the thread dump of the appserver process, which will help to see the state of appserver.
If it is Solaris/Linux you can use jstack (comes with jdk) and get thread dump.

Keyboard entry numerical control application builder

This is a very simple "settings" question but I can's seem to find the answer myself so I thought I would just ask. I have an application that uses numerical controls (to set the time interval between scans for one). Everything works great on systems with LV installed. However, when made into an application using Application Builder and running it on a system that only has the LV runtime engine on it, manual keyboard entry of values into the controls no longer functions. The incremental controls work but is awfully inconvenient if the user wants to change from a scan once per second to once every thirty seconds--those 29 clicks get tiring. Soooo....what setting needs to be set before building the application that will allow keyboard entry (i.e highlight and type) of values to be possible once the VI is an executable.
Sorry this is so simple...but be kind to one who is new at making stand-alone executables.

Thanks for your help. Sorry to be so long in responding but our the day after I submitted my question our client had the machine in question removed for an update by the Information Services guys for an upgrade from W2k to XP. The machine just came back today and I reinstalled LV runtime and the application and the keypad entry works perfectly. So I'm afraid that the true nature of the my origninal difficulty will never be known. I appreciate your suggestion on the NUM LOCK key as I was 10 or 15 minutes into my own troubleshooting before I thought to check it myself, so I just as easily might have forgotten to check it--so no ducking is required (it should have been the first thing I checked).

How does Grid Control Application Management Pack (AMP) discover targets?

I have Grid Control 10.2.0.4 install and am trying to discover Oracle 11i applications. I have applied the patches required to the OMS and the agents and can see the Application Management tab at the top of the targets page. I am able to discover the individual components of the application (i.e. Apache, listeners, database, agents, hosts, forms, etc) but when I go under the Application Management tab and try to discover the Oracle applications I get the following error message:

I have the white paper explaining how Grid Control discovers databases, listeners, application servers, etc. But I am not able to find a paper that tells how the Application Manager discovers the Oracle applications. Does anyone know of such a paper or which perl scripts are run?

One of the biggest problems I have run into when doing these discoveries is that the agent and iAS and/or Oracle are owned by different users and the agent does not have permissions to read the configuration files.
You situation may be a bit different.
If the host is real busy, it sometimes takes a long time to load the gathered information into the repository. From looking at your log file, this may be your issue.
How busy is the server(s) and database for you OMS and OEM database?

Mission Control: Application Does Not Switch To Assigned Desktop Once Open

I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 assigned to DESKTOP 2 in Mission Control. If Photoshop is closed, and I launch it from the dock or Launchpad, Lion switches to DESKTOP 2 to launch Photoshop. This is what I want.
However, if Photoshop is already open and I click on an image file in Adobe Bridge, or Finder, Lion does not switch to DESKTOP 2. Photoshop will launch on whatever desktop I am on, in front of Finder or Adobe Bridge.
I have experienced this when I have "Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use" and "When switching to an application, switch to a desktop with open windows for this application" on or off. Both settings seem to have the same problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions? I used this feature extensively with Spaces, and Lion is killing my workflow unless I can get this figured out.

Mission control - Application Windows

When I uses the Application Windows function on Mission Control (default is F10) it would show me previous documents I've opened at the bottom. Is there a way to turn that off?

No, actually i was referring to the Mission control - App Expose (F4), when i'm inside an app (eg Chrome) and hit either F4 or cursor into a corner, i get the windows arranged in tiles, but they're so small that i can barely see the tabs inside them. Having the windows arranged in cascade mode and bigger would allow me to go straight to the target window. Hope this makes sense.
As for your answer, this could be a solution workaround. I personally would have to get used to that, as i'm generally keeping my windows maximised.

Desktop 1 Mission Control Application Windows

I recently upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion. The upgrade went perfect on my MacBook Pro. Here are my system specs:
15-inch, 2.53GHz, Mid 2009
Processor 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
I noticed a strange behavior with Desktop 1 when I go to Mission Control. No matter if I open Mission Control *from* Desktop 1, or I move to Desktop 1 from another Desktop in Mission Control, the Application Windows that are open on Desktop 1 do not display.
Notice that the App Icons are displayed, but no Windows.
NO OTHER DESKTOP displays this behavior. Any ideas? Is there a cache I can delete to reset the Desktop/Mission Control?

Note that this issue occured right after an OSX update, but was fixed after a reboot.

Where do the files go when we deploy a user control, application page and event receiver?

I have read that the files go into the HIVE\TEMPLATES\CONTROL TEMPLATES or \FEATURES once deployed..
I have also read that we can right click on project and choose add mapped folder and select whether we want to put the page/user control under CONTROL TEMPLATES or FEATURES, etc?
Which method is to be followed?

The files in mapped folder created using Visual studio is copied to the appropriate folder in 14/15 hive on WSP deployment. Refer to the following articles for more information
