Analysis Services Execute DDL Task Internal error

Hi all,
I need help in solving this sporadic problem... the dimension below (blanked out as xxxx) is based on a view. The cube processes fine many times - but fails - abruptly once a week... it's being called from a sql job.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

"ExternalCommandTimeout is a server property that is used to set the number of seconds that SSAS should wait to time out when issuing commands to external data sources, such as relational and other OLAP sources."

What you set it to, it's absolutely up to you... But as I see it in your log, your task failed in 17 and 9 seconds... So I think you can multiply the values by 10, I guess the situation won't change... But it is worth to check it at least.
So... How often your fact table gets new (degenerate) dimension reference values? Is it a process update, or a process full command? I really would like to see it :)

Analysis Services execute ddl task

I want to run the Analysis Services execute ddl task to execute a cube creation via xmla script.
The cube could already exist, so I want to ask if it exists before running the task or else it will fail.
What would be the best way to perform this - if exist question ?

SSAS cube sync between two servers using analysis service execute DDL task in SSIS

hi folks:
I have two AS servers: TOBIDW and TOBIDW2. TOBIDW2 is the production server where users use Excel to connect . TOBIDW has been identified as a backup Cube server in case if TOBIDW2 is not available. My job is to create a SSIS package that syncs
cube db from TOBIDW2 to TOBIDW everyday (one way).
The standard SSIS dev process for us is to develop in the dev environment and deploy to production env. The XMLA script has been extracted using Sync wizard of SSMS on production cube server. Inside this
XMLA, the connectionstring is using integrated security = SSPI.
When deploy to production, what username/password I should use to replace the integrated security?

You don't need to replace Integrated Security=SSPI with other Windows username and password. Integrated Security means it uses the Windows user that launches the process (the dtexec.exe that runs your SSIS package) to connect to the server TOBIDW2 you defined
in your connection string.
Actually for SSAS connection string, you don't normally need to specify user name and password because SSAS only takes Windows Authentication and Integrated Security takes care of it for us automatically using SSPI. The only case when you need to manually
enter user name and password (Windows user) is when you configured a HTTP Pump to sit in front of your SSAS server and use HTTP://servername/ to access your SSAS server. This is because IIS server could be configured to take Basic Authentication which requires
explicitly supply Windows user name and password for authentication. In that case your connection string should look similar to this:
Provider=MSOLAP;Data Source=http://serverName/;Initial Catalog=myDataBase;
User Id=domain\user;Password=myPassword;

Hi,
TOAD 8.0 is quite old, you might want to grab 9.0.1 from www.quest.com (assuming you can arrange the appropriate access). But that shouldn't be causing this error.
In addition, what version of Oracle software are you using with TOAD? ie the Oracle client software version. If this is indeed Oracle 8.0 then you need to upgrade this (and this is probably what's causing the error).

Hi Dsr,
Use transaction code OB58->Highlight the Fin. Stmt. version you want to Change and click on the Display icon.->Next, click on the "Fin.Statement items" icon on the application tool bar. You can then expand and carry out your update as appropriate.
If you do not have the prerequisite authorisations, you wouldn't be able to do this.

Analysis Services Processing Task - Error processing

Hi all,
I have a SSIS package containing an Analysis Services Processing Task. In case it fails, I want to insert the error messages in a table. I have create an SSIS package that fails because of dimension values that are not in the fact table. The package fails and
shows a number of errors in the debug window:
Error: 0xC1000007 at Create Cube, Analysis Services Execute DDL Task: Erreur interne : L'opération n'a pas abouti.
Warning: 0x811F0001 at Create Cube, Analysis Services Execute DDL Task: Erreurs dans le moteur de stockage OLAP :
Clé d'attribut introuvable lors du traitement de : Table : 'dbo_SSIS_DATA', Colonne : 'PRODCODE', Valeur : 'HUME'. L'attribut est 'PRODCODE'.
SSIS package "Step 2 - Create Cube.dtsx" finished: Failure.
However in the error list window there are 0 errors and 0 warnings.
So, why doesn't it show an error message in the error list when the package clearly fails. And how can I get the error messages from the log into a table? Thanks in advance.

Error list does not reflect what is getting to be logged, it is more for package validation.
But the same errors will show up in the status, and the output window.
Furthermore, if your log is table bound (e.g. the sysssiserrorlog) and in the log config you chose to log the OnError events then these will be captured automatically.

I've been running a package for 6 months without any issues that pulls data from a cube via MDX and moves it to a database.
We've recently moved to a new server x64 and the connections all succeed but at runtime (in 64 = T&F) I get the following error:

Hi Vijay,
I think HRRCF_START is not executable alone, because somehow called internally from other services.
The default.htm seams to be SAP standard, if there is not other start page defined as "inital BSP" in the BSP application properties.
So, if you start HRRCF_START_INT, it should normally work.
When I open HRRCF_START_INT via http://SERVER:PORT/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/, the system requests a user and password.
Another idea is to check your customizing for SAP eRecruiting.
Open SPRO and navigate to SAP E-Recruiting.
Under Technical Settings -> User Interface you can customize your start pages, which is necessary for HRRCF_START_*.
In the SPRO you may also find some guideline for eRecruitment implementation. Or just have a look [service.sap.com|http://service.sap.com] and search for eRecruitment HRRCF_START or something like this. There may be some hints for all steps you have to do, before SAP eRecruiting runs properly.

It is not currently supported. You might be able to create a linked server in SQL to be a proxy for the connection and enable scheduled refresh if you are desperate.

Can't login BPM workspace - Internal error in Verification Service

I've gone through "Building Your First Process with Oracle BPM 11g" in JDeveloper and was able to deploy "Hello World" successfully. My problem is that when I tried to sign in bpm workspace, I get "Invalid username and password" error. This is what I found in the soa log,

I can't sign in workspace with anyone - weblogic, jcooper, etc. For weblogic user, I don't have any problem of login other applications. I find jcooper and bpm access in system-jazn-data.xml under $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig directory.
I'm running out of options to try. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Well, I'm not total sure on whether we are using LDAP or not since I'm a new to weblogic. Perhaps you can tell me. We installed webLogic 10.3.4. My understanding is that this has embedded LDAP. All I did was to install demo users and groups. So currently we have defaultAuthenticator under myrealm. so are we using LDAP in this case?
What's the exact path of Admin server?
weblogic, soa_server1, bam_server1, osb_server1 are running on one linux box.

Hi,
If you want to include text in the smart form you can create a standard text in SO10.
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create and enter the Required Information and save.
To include the Standard text in SmartForm.
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.
If tthe include text has to be read from any document, you can accordingly give the attributes like
Text Name - Document number
Text Object - header or item object type
Text ID - ID of the text (you can get these details in your document)
Language EN.

I just installed SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and SP1 and SP2. I cannot start Analysis Services. The message box states: The SQL Server Analysis Services (MSSQLSERVER) service on Local Computer started and then stopped.     I looked in the log files located at: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Log and found these entries:

During installation I did get an unhandled exception (I don't know what component caused the exception). I have found this in the SQLDUMPER_ERRORLOG.log file:

Any ideas how to get this service started?

Does anyone have any idea on this problem? My installation of SQL Server Analysis Services worked fine. I now have the same error as Lucy. This happened after no upgrading of SQLSERVER. It must have issues with security patches on the OS, or maybe service packs for Visual Studio (2005). And no reinstallation of the patch is not the answer (or rebooting).
The service times out and tells me to check the logs. The msmdsrv.log file indicates any unhandled exception -

I have tried reinstalling, changed users for the service, changes instance names. The logging tells me nothing, except there is a big problem.
I even installed the SQL Server SP2 hoping to fix whatever the problem was. Now I also have SSIS throwing an exception and wanting to attach a debugger to it on top of my original problem. After reading about all of the problems with SQL Server SP2, I think I created a bigger monster. Uninstalling leaves around all kind of files, registry entries, and program numbers.

Failed to create an IDataAdapter object. This provider may not be fully supported with the Execute SQL Task

I executed a simple query inside an execute SQL task -
SELECT col1, col2
from thetable
where code = ?
order by id asc
Exec sql task - ADO.NET connection
parameter "code" is an int32 in SSIS and int32 in parameter mapping of exec sql task.
It works fine in SQL server, but in SSIS it causes the error -
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "SELECT col1, col2
from thet..." failed with the following error: "Failed to create an IDataAdapter object. This provider may not be fully supported with the Execute SQL Task. Error message 'Incorrect syntax near '?'.'.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with
the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
How do I fix this error ?

Thanks. I think it was sqlclient. I changed it to OLEDB to avoid that issue. Btw, what is this "provider" ?

I had a problem on a server when trying to implement a project analysis services and I get the
error:
"Failed to encrypt sensitive information. Perhaps the encryption key is inaccessible due to incorrect change the service account"
I have no idea how to solve this problem and where to get it.

The package was probably created with the
default protection level "EncryptSesntitiveWithusrKey" by somebody else than who logged in to the machine to install.
If you deploy it by importing to MSDB/SSISDB then it needs to be set to "ServerStorage".
