Android File Structure/ Opening/ closing files
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can provide help?
I would like to be able to open and read document files such as PDFs. I am building a simple app in Flash Builder 4.5 that can read a variety of files. I am testing on an Android Device that has a PDF reader installed, I also have some code that checks if a reader is available, but am a little weak at the mo on directory structure.
If I copy a PDF to a newly created folder on the device, eg 'MyDocs' in Storage would the path be \storage\MyDocs ?, how would i reference this.
Any help with how to open files on Android and also a guide on file/ folder structure on a Android device. As I am a little lost how to find this out. Any code/ traces I can run to work this one out would be awesome, as would any help ofcourse

These files are encrypted. If your organisation is a partner with Nakisa you can obtain the decrypter from them.
Portal SSO works without any configuration directly in the XML files. If you are getting an error stating that the Portal ticket cannot be interpreted then your configuration is not correct. In your URL iView you need to ensure the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) is used for the application URL. In the Administrator Console you need to ensure you enter the system details (Host, Sys Nr and Client) for the backend system which holds your SSO ticket for that Portal. You need to use FQDN here too.
There is additional security configuration that can be done in the XML files but SSO will still work with just the Administrator Console configuration.

Paste / Move issue in all Android file manager ports
So as everyone here knows a proper file manager is a must for every single OS and the PB doesn't pack one out of the box.
Air Browser seems to be the only free native one but it doesn't allow to browse outside "/accounts/1000/ shared" and the UI could be improved imho (not a fan of how the author split the different operations menu in 3 depending on it involving files, folders or cache... plus it lack multiple folder selection). So as a complement I use Ghost Commander which is available in App World.
Last week I tried to use Ghost commander as my sole file manager only to discover it can't copy / move files in "/accounts/1000/ shared". Then I tried most Android file managers available in App World only to find out they have the same issue!
Here's what I mean:
1- Using any Android ported file manager copy/cut/paste a pdf, doc, xls... form/to a folder inside "/accounts/1000/ shared". Example
2- Aparently the file is moved to the desired folder. Example
3- Now open it... Example
4- Regardless the file type (I tried a pdf here) the associated you will only get an error message stating the path isn't valid... Example
The time I tried this I was moving a folder with docs using Ghost Commander and afterwards it seemed as if I had lost my files (couldn't open them in the device and couldn't see them in my computer when I connected the PB)!
The only way I found I could recover them was:
1- Using any Android file manager copy the files to anywhere inside "/sdcard". Example
2- Using AIr Browser (didn't try any other native file manager since they are paid) go to /misc/android/folder_where_you_copied_the_files_to and copy them to any folder outside "misc". Example
Thanks for the scare RIM! Makes me wonder if any proper testing is done to the apps before these are acepted in BBAW.
Don't know if this is an issue caused by the emulator, the sandboxing process or if it's an issue in the way all the Android apps were coded... But it must be fixed.
As every single bug report I wrote here before I ask any informed user / mod /developer who reads this to send it to the right person and to inform me on how how I can do so correctly the next time.

Android File Transfer not working with MAC OSX 10.9.5
I have a Kurio Extreme for my child, and I have downloaded and used Android File Transfer in the past. Recently two things have changed. My OS, and the Kurio tablet. I attempted to use it today, and the device is not recognized.
I reached out to the Kurio Helpdesk and they state that the issue is either with the OS software or AFT. I have removed AFT, rebooted the computer, downloaded it again, all to no avail.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue?This problem could arise if you have installed Kies. What it does is, it installs drivers which is not compatible with android file transfer app.
Now the solution for this problem is properly uninstall kids from your mac, to do this follow the steps:
1. Check the security and privacy settings in your system preference whether the settings for "Allow apps download from" to "Anywhere" (to set this first click the lock button on the left of your screen by entering your password, this will enable the option to be changed)
2. After you are done with the first step open the kies installation file (file that is used to install kies, if you have deleted the file, download it again) open the file there you will find an option "uninstall". Click and follow the instruction.
3. When you have successfully deleted the app, restart your mac.
4. Install Android file transfer app if you haven't done it yet.
5. Connect your android device
6. BANG! It will work just fine. Hope it helps!! -
appreciate if someone can tell me which is more user friendly, and if AFT is compatible with other android phones, that can only be a plus.

Android File transfer doesn't work on Mavericks either.
I use wi-fi file transfer. Not the worlds best user interface, I'll grant you but it works just fine. -
On Mac - Android File Transfer stopped working. It says Unable to connect after installing the Verizon Software Update Utility from phone.

That's not good! We want your software to work properly. Have you tried uninstalling the Verizon Software Utility from your MAC? Do you receive a specific error message?

How do I get Android File Transfer for OSX 10.9
I have a new Motorola Moto G, and my iMac is not recognizing it. I need something called Android File Transfer, but can't seem to get it to work. I know, admitting I have an Android phone is blasphemous around here, but my iPhone died and I can't justify spending another $700 on a phone. I needed a more affordable alternative. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Paul, thanks for the advice, but I've already tried that solution and it didn't work. The software on that webpage is for Motorola Device Manager, and it's only for OSX Leopard to Mountain Lion. I have Mavericks - that's the catch. There doesn't seem to be any driver for Mavericks that will allow my iMac to speak with the phone.

Know a fix?I suppose it's possible that there are Android devices that require it but I've never heard of or used one. See how it goes. Let me know if you have a problem and I'll try to help. We just won't tell anyone over in the iPhone forum.

EBS Importing Opening / Closing Balances
I am Importing EBS via transation FF.5 (APACS EBS), the file is importing all details except the Opening Balance and Closing Balance. I have checked Algorithm and they are set up. Using 4.7 Enterprise. Has anyone got any suggestions.

There are various t. code to check line items for vendor like: S_ALR_87012103 but Any table is not helping to check opening/closeing balance for vendor.
Table BSIK and BSAK are having are records for open items and close items for vendor and system calculate the balance by using these tables.

Right now I have a program written to automate an AOP pilot with a few inputs and outputs (3 valves, ozone generator, UV lamp, TOC meter, ozone meter in liquid and gas phase, and a UV-VIS detector). The valves are controlled with digital outputs, the rest are analog in- an outputs going into a USB-6009. The one exception is the UV-VIS detector (S::CAN Spectro::lyser). We read in about 200 Abs/m values with their corresponding wavelengths. The software of this tool is ran on the same computer and it writes down these values in an Excel file (.fp). My VI needs to select this excel file while running, and grabs the corresponding data from the Excel file. I made a finetuner to select the latest data from the excel file. Now, even though this works, it's not practical for many reasons. It closes all other excel files while running for example, and opens and closes Excel twice in 30 seconds.
I found out the software of the UV-VIS detector is written in LabView too, but the company doesn't seem to care much about sharing the original VI's or making it complementary with other LabView VI's. Now I was wondering if there's an easier solution than opening/closing Excel. Are global variables an option for this problem? I'm far from an expect in LabView, so I just want to know if I should put in the time to learn about global variables or not

Spry Panel State - open/closed ?
Hello Guys/Gals,
I don't want to re-invent the wheel here if at all possible...
Has anyone ever included the Spry Collapsible Panel in menu by PHP Includes?
Here is what I need to accomplish, the spry panels are in 1 file which is included throughout the entire site with php includes.
I need the open/closed state to be remembered - so if you open panel #2 and click a link, you end up on that page with only panel #2 open.
If the user closes that panel, then the panel is closed on any page visited.
Tracking user with cookies or what?
Can someone point me to any example code for this?

T61 Opening/Closing Lid Changes Display on Windows 7
Hello!
I have T61 laptop running Win 7 which I have installed the Latest BIOS (version 2.27) & Display Drivers (Nvidia) and the external LCD-monitor to the analog VGA-port. I make to FN+F7 "projector only" for view to the external LCD-monitor. But when i close and re-open the lid the automatically changes on the laptop display ("computer only" to FN+F7 menu). It's not handy very.

Can some one help me witht the program / main select Query that gives me the complete list of all the inquiresy (Open/Closed) unlike "VA15" gives only the details for open Inquires irrespective of the customer entered .If we need All inquires in "Va15" it ask for the customer code.I want all the inquires from certain period for all customer .I treid with Tcode "VA15N" but it doesnt show the inquiry description and the customer name .Its confusing for the users.Do some one have a "Z report for the same?
Please helpVA15N calls the function module SD_SELECT_SALES_DOCUMENTS to extract the data. Internal table structure T_VBMTV of this function module stores the extracted data (which include customer name etc.). Put an external break point on this function module & execute VA15N to see how the input parameters are passed to the FM.

but some of the rows are missing from the result. e.g. row with the same value of debit/credit ( same TransId and BaseRef) will come out once only in the result.

You have to make use of many tables for this purpose.
1. You have to claculate the previuos period and finscal year for the given date..
2. You have to calculate the G/L balances for this period for the given G/L account from table GLT0.(You can use some of the standard function modules for the same)
3. You have get the line items from the various tables like BSIS,BSAS,BSIK, BASK, BSID and BSAD for the dates from the begining of the month to the given date-1. sum upthis amount with the amount retrieved from step 2 .This will be the opening balance for the given date.
4.retrieve the data from he same tables like step 3 for the given date. This will the transactions of the given date.
5. sum up the amounts from step 4 with step 3. this will be the closing balance for that date.
