Android problems...

How come AIR doesnt work as expected between Android 2.x 3.x and 4.x,
what i mean is that for ex.
CameraUI does nto work in android 4.1.1 but works well in A2.3 and A3.x
https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3306444
Then in other hand Geolocation does not work as supposed in A2.3.
Also after taking image in A2.3 and returning to application, screen goes sometimes black, but i still get traces in debug panel. To solve that i need to press Home-button and then hold it down again to re-launch last application and everything is visible again...
Or is it my phones that are messed up ?

Thanks SuzyQ for the suggestions.
Its very frustrating to have your device randomly resetting. I would be glad to assist. Did this start after an application was downloaded? Is there any physical or liquid damage to the device? Is the battery swollen or corrosion on the contacts of phone or battery? Please start the incredible in safe mode to rule out an application causing these issues and retest. Please report with your results.
Thank you

  • Serious android problems?

2 days ago my phone froze, after removing the battery the phone kept resetting to the htc screen. I did a factory reset, and for some reason all apps i downloaded were deleted? when i try to reinstall (ie. words with friends) the phone resets and the app is not installed? goggle play market has also been deleted. im really confused on what is going on and wondering if anyone else has similar problems?
    thanks in advance
    PS
I also cannot download pictures sent via text, nor atach any pictures to text messages.

        Hi herberji,
You deserve a working phone at all times!  What model is your HTC device?  Are your other voice and data services like browsing the web and making calls working?  How were you able to access Words with Friends initially without access to the Google Play Store?  In regards to your picture messaging are you getting an error when trying to send or receive the message?  I am eager to continue troubleshooting with you to get this resolved!
    Thank You,

  • IPhone & Android problem

    Hi!
Okay. Well, I've never been an iPhone user but my mom has had an iPhone since the very first one came out. I had an iPod 4g & she used iMessage to text me since my iPod was compatible with recieving iMessage. Well, I had an android galaxy rush, my mom didn't need to turn iMessage off to text me. Instead of her message bubble going to blue, it automatically went to green because I didn't have iMessage. Once I got my new Android Galaxy S3, I can't get her texts if her iMessage is on. Her bubble doesn't turn to green automatically like it did with my first Android, it stays blue. She constantly has to turn iMessage off & on to text me & other iMessage contacts. Why is this happening? What can I do on my end & what can she do on hers? Help!

She needs to send texts to your mobile number and not your email address or other contact info you had registered with iMessage. You can also disable iMessage for your contact info following these instructions.

  • AT&T Email Server Set Up on Samsung Charge Android Problem

Has anyone had this same problem?
Problem: I get "Setup could not finish - Cannot connect to server" error when trying to update AT&T email (sbcglobal.net) server settings.  AT&T changed email server setup on December 11th.  I can get the correct setup and connection via Windows Mail on my Vista desktop pc.  AT&T email server settings can be found here => http://www.att.com/updatesettings.  Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem and spent time on the AT&T help line but they could not help with the Verizon Samsung Droid issue.  I got my Outlook to work on the desktop and the setup is basically the same.  I think the problem is in the Desktop setup in E-Mail Settings on the Advanced Tab there is a check box with a label that says "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) that AT&T requires to be checked.  The email setup form on the Samsung Droid does not have that check box or option, so the server will not let the phone connect.
Did you get your issue resolved?

  • Embedded buttons on Android problem?

I am porting a folio created for iPad to Android (Galaxy Tab), but it seems that buttons embedded in multi-state objects do not work.. Is anybody having the same experience, or am I doing something wrong? On the iPad, buttons embedded onto individual states work flawless, on the Galaxy they do not seem to work at all.. Thank you! diederik

    Hi Bob,
I have the following version in the App Market: 2.3.0.0.37855 dated January 18, 2012. I am based in The Netherlands.
Most likely this is a version that does not support the February changes. How can I get an update, when this is the version the market is showing me?
Will a final build created with Viewer Builder be of a newer kind? If so, we can do a test run and see what happens, yes?
By the way, I have no experience with building for Android yet. Is provisioning comparable to the Apple procedures? Is there documentation on how to build for Android with Viewer Builder?
    Thanks!!!

  • Air for Android problem

    Hi. Hope someone can help!
I've successfully published an interactive childrens book app for the iPad using Air for iOS. I now want to publish the same app using Air for Android. I did a quick test just to see what it will look like and found that the animation is very slow and therefor the voice over is out of sync.
The animations are hand drawn images with very basic tween motions. That's it!
For navigation I used code snippets.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
    M

did you test on an android device or emulator?
if you used the emulator, test on a device.
if you tested on a device make sure you have always have a background bitmap even if its just a stage colored rectangle.

Do you know that this is an Arch problem?  I suspect it is an Android problem, in all likeliness, a problem deliberately created by your phone carrier.
Be that as it may, does tether work on other OSes?  Also, to get my Android to tether (both USB and wireless), I had to change the iptables on the phone to allow it to route correctly from the wlan to the 3g network:
    # uname -a
    Linux localhost 2.6.37.6-cyanogenmod+ #6 PREEMPT Mon Jan 23 23:31:52 PST 2012 armv7l GNU/Linux
    # cat /data/local/userinit.sh
    echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
    iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
    iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o rmnet0 -j MASQUERADE
Make a file like that, reboot, and check your iptables config.  [In case it is not obvious, I am talking of the phone itself]

    Dear experts,

Is there other DLLs to copy in this step?

  • Error installing on Android device

    Hi guys
My mobile project launches fine on the desktop AIR debugger/mobile emulator but when I export the release build to my device I get the following error...
The package(s) were successfully created but the application could not be installed on one or more devices:
Device ID S58302adc8c14 (Google Android): Problem occurred while installing Adobe AIR.
Device ID S58302adc8c14 (Google Android): Problem occurred while installing the application.

There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both availabe in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • LOADS of problems with 5.1.1 Update on IPhone 4!

Gonna try and keep it fairly simple...
Checked my phone, found out there was an update, so I plugged it into the wall, downloaded the newest iTunes on my laptop(mine was a few upgrades behind) then downloaded the Software Update for my iPhone.
-First, I apparently didnt have enough battery, so I left it plugged in for half an hour before trying again.
-All went pretty smoothly... Got the new iTunes. etc.
-Check my phone an hour or so later and it tells me to plug into iTunes, so I do.
-Im then told to upgrade iTunes again, so I do, this time with the phone plugged in.
-Im then told my phone is in 'Recovery Mode' and that I must restore all the settings and cant do anything with it until I do so.
-Obviously, I do this. I last backed up a month ago, so yeah I'll loose some files, but I couldnt access them on my phone to back up - leaving me with no choice.
-Once this has run, I've now got a screen on the iPhone saying 'IPhone' with the 'Slide to Set Up' option.
-When I slide, I 'Enable Location Services' > Connect to my home Wi-Fi > Im then given the option to 'Set up as new IPhone', 'Restore from iCloud' or 'Restore from iTunes'.
-I select 'Restore from ITunes' and end up with the 'Connect to iTunes picture-thing.
-On my laptop through iTunes I restored it, dragged all of my music in, re-arranged all of my apps, and prepared to sync all my photos back onto my phone.
-I click 'Sync' and it seems to run okay, then Im told it couldnt complete the sync.
    PLEASE HELP!
I only want my phone to work as it should!

Again, there are plenty of people giving bogus information ie. BMG Big Mouth Guy, ( Fitting )if you read the problem and understood the issue, then you wouldnt be posting android problems in the iphone forum.
Chris... Your just an idiot... plain and simple..  you have NEVER seen me post a single thing about Androids unless someone asked about it, and I told them how horrible of a phone they are... You want to talk about reading the problem and understanding the issue??  REALLY?!?!  if your so **** smart, why are you giving bogus information??  There's a thread with over 1200 replies on the issue, and your trying to tell ppl to trouble shoot something that can't be fixed... And in case you havent noticed, there have been DOZENS of ppl who have told you that your wrong, and EVEN MORE that have commented back and said your solution didnt work...

  • When I open firefox android, my wifi and mobile data switch off on HTC one M7

I cannot surf the net with firefox on my HTC one M7 as of this week.
Every time I open the browser, it closes my wifi and mobile data, meaning I get the error 'server not found'
i tried removing it and all its add ons, then re-installing...
    Just the same.
    Anyone help please?

    Hi RichyRiches
    # I have an HTC One M7 running Firefox for Android 35 with Android 4.4.3. Is that what you are using?
    # "Every time I open the browser, it closes my wifi and mobile data, meaning I get the error 'server not found' " - Strange I have no such issue. Any websites in particular? Or is all of them? Do other web browers work?
    # I don't think this is a Firefox for Android problem. In the past problems like that have been because of WiFi issues caused by firewalls. Please check with your ISP and check your firewall.
    Cheers!
