Annotations error

Hey
I am having an odd experience with the Annotation for xy-graphs.
First:
I created a list of annotations, and plots that to my graph.
This worked fine.
Then:
I added a secondary y-scale to the graph, and wanted to create annotation for this scale also.
These annotations on the secondary scale never showed up, but no error appeared.
And then:
I tried back and booth to get it to work, and suddenly the annotations on the primary scale disappeared too.
Frustrations:
I tried even more to track down the bug, and now no annoations are shown at all, but at least the annotation property gives an error.
I have added a very simple example of what I Want to plot.
I hope somebody can help me

Thanks for the reply.
I can se I have made a copy-paste error then i made this example. You are absolutely right, I have swaped the x- and y-axis.
This clears out the error, but it only brings me back to my original problem (which did not create any errors):
I do NOT se any anotations that have been placed on the secondary y-axis.
I have uploaded the corrected code, and screenshots. Can you confirm, that only the anotation on the primary y-axis is shown?

  • "Invalid Annotation Object" error

    I'm using Windows XP Pro (SP3) on a 2.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM computer, and while working in an Adobe Acrobat 9 document, I had just saved the file (CTRL+S) and the document froze and I got a Windows error box that asked if I wanted to send an error report, which I did. When I opened Adobe again, it asked if I wanted to open the last file which didn't save correctly, which I did.
    Then when I proceeded to work in the document and tried to highlight a sentence I was going to delete, I got an Adobe Acrobat popup box that said "Invalid Annotation Object. OK" but no matter how many times I clicked on "OK," the box kept popping up and wouldn't go away. I tried saving a copy of the document, but the same box was in it and wouldn't go away. I couldn't even work in the document to extract pages or anything else. Huge problem!
    Does anyone know what can I do to resolve this problem? (This happened on a Saturday when Adobe phone support is not accessible.)

    On 3/24/2015 same problems, after Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. crashed while I added text boxes.. When I opened Adobe again, Yes to open the last file which didn't save correctly, then "Invalid Annotation Object" errors on my .pdf file of 96 pages

    Here is a technique for identifying all the pages that have invalid annotation objects on them:
    1. Document > Extract Pages ...
    •Select the checkbox for "Extract Pages As Separate Files"
    •Set the destination to a 'dedicated' folder that won't contain any other files -- that way, you can simply delete the folder when this process is done.
    •Click OK.
    2. During the extraction, click OK in all the message boxes that appear.
    3. After the extraction, look in the destination folder to see which pages are missing. Those are the pages that have invalid annotation objects.
    From this point you can try to delete the objects, or simply delete and replace the pages, or implement a different solution. Hope this helps someone.
    - after extract the 96-pages file into individual files into a dedicated folder, only 95 got extracted and page 1 was not/can not be extracted.
    - I then combined the 95 good extracted pages into a new file name .pdf
    - then inserted a good page 1 without error (from the file that was saved previous day, prior to all the changes I made on the corrupted file), re work on page 1
    - delete the bad file.

  • Adobe "Invalid annotation object" error

    We recieve a specific error message on a few PDFs. Some from documents converted from 2007 Word and others out of Outlook 2007 through the PDF print function.  While moving the mouse over certain comments the users has placed on the document in the PDF format, Acrobat 9.9.3 throws this error. We've tried to delete the bad refs and other times have just started a new document, print to PDF while starting over.  Any ideas on why this is happining, what might be causing this and what we can do to reslove this problem.  I cannot seem to duplicate the problem a few see.  Any thoughts or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Brian

  • How do I create an accessible PDF that doesn't generate a "tagged annotations - failed" error on the Accessibility Checker?

    I just reported this as a bug to Adobe, as I think it is.
    ******BUG******
    Concise problem statement: URLs generated from InDesign CC failed on Accessibility Checker (problem also exists in 2014)
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1. Generated URLs using hyperlinks panel in InDesign. When accessibility report is run, they are flagged as "Tagged annotations - Failed," listed as Element 1, 2, etc. The links are live and clickable.
    2. To test, I removed all hyperlinks in Acrobat. It passed the test.
    3. Then I used "Create Links from URLs." The links were re-created. Running the accessibility report brought up the same error message.
    Results: The links created by Acrobat that actually do work fail the "tagged annotations" report. You have provided the tools to check accessibility, but the program itself can't generate URLs that pass the report.
    Expected results: I should be able to easily create an accessible pdf, as your documentation says I can. This, along with the failure of your "articles" panel detailed in another bug report, strike me as a serious problem with InDesign that should be fixed soon, especially given that designers are required more an more to adhere to accessibility guidelines.

    I have call out boxes like this:  All the links work correctly but they are divided with a tag for each line:

  • Acrobat XI annots.api error

    I've been running Acrobat XI Standard for a few months. Just today it started giving me an error on startup of the plug_ins\Annots.api is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.
    How can I fix this please?
    Thanks.

    Thank you for that suggestion. I did not know about the REPAIR option.
    I ended fixing the problem with the latest update. I had to download it manually, even though I had the options set to automatically update and assumed I had the latest update.
    Best regards.

  • Annotation Processing Error - Run vs Debug

    Hello,
    I'm trying to run the Converter Example (Chapter 21 of the Sun's JavaEE 5 Tutorial) with a difference: I've deleted the Enterprise application ("Converter") and I'm using the packages alone: one for the EJB (Converter-ejb) and the second is the App Client (Converter-app-client). No modifications yet. Both use simple (non decorated) annotations @EJB (in the app-client) and @Stateless and @Remote (in the ejb).
    All deployed OK. If you run the Converter-app-client in the Netbeans (version 5.5 - "run main project" command - F6) the
    AppServer (SunJavaSystemAppServer 9.01) issues the folloing exceptions:
    "Class [ Lcom/sun/tutorial/javaee/ejb/ConverterRemote; ] not found. Error while loading [ class com.sun.tutorial.javaee.ejb.ConverterClient ]"
    "Error in annotation processing: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lcom/sun/tutorial/javaee/ejb/ConverterRemote;"
    The "Converter-app-client (run)" tab window shows the following exception:
    "java.lang.NullPointerException"
    If you run with "Debug Main Project (F5)", the server issues the same errors, but runs the program ok and you can see it's
    results in the "Converter-app-client (debug)" tab window.
    So:
    What's the difference? Why it runs with "debug" and not in "run"?
    After reading many articles, forum, etc it seems to me that It shouldn't issue any "Error in annotation processing".I've
    tried to use the annotation's (name="xxx") and (mappedName="xxx") with no success. Tried also using the files "sun-*.xml" as instructed in the Glassfish EJB FAQ's.
    Any help will be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Marcos

    It seem that it's an Netbean 5.5 error.
    This example application (very similar) runs ok (outside Netbeans)
    https://glassfish.dev.java.net/javaee5/ejb/examples/Sless.html
    Comparing the apps, it seems that Netbeans is not packing the AppClient correctly, dropping the remote interfaces of the referred beans.

  • Custom Annotation showing Error: is missing clinit

    Hi!
    I have created some custom annotations for use in my project. Sometimes they show error: is missing <clinit> and sometimes they don't. I'm confused. If I create a jar and use that jar in another project this error appears at compiletime .
    Here is the source of one of my custom annotations....
    import java.lang.annotation.ElementType;
    import java.lang.annotation.Retention;
    import java.lang.annotation.RetentionPolicy;
    import java.lang.annotation.Target;
    * User: yogeshd
    * Date: Mar 30, 2007
    * Time: 10:54:31 AM
    @Constraint
    @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)
    @Target(ElementType.FIELD)
    public @interface ConstraintMaxIntValue {
    public Validator validator = new MaxIntValidator();
    int value() default 0;
    The strange thing is that this error doesnot appears all the time...
    If anyone can explain the reason I will be enlightened. ;) thnx.

    yogeshd,
    It might be that the .class file for the annotation that you are compiling against is the one you have given us the source code for above, but when you run the program, the class file for the annotation is not the same, and is one that was compiled before you added the static field.
    This can happen if your classpath is wrong. (and would explain why the problem only occurs sometimes - because it is only failing when the classpath is wrong).
    If you run the following program with the Fully qualified name of your annotation as the argument, and with the same classpath as you run your program, it can tell you where it is finding the annotation class file. Check that this is the same one that you are compiling to.
    class WhereLoaded {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            Class theClass=null;
            if(args.length > 0) {
                try {
                    theClass=Class.forName(args[0]);
                } catch (Exception e) {
                    e.printStackTrace();
                    theClass=Object.class;
            } else {
                System.out.println(
                    "The first argument should be a fully qualified class name," +
                    " using java.lang.Object instead"
                theClass=Object.class;
            String name=theClass.getName();
            name=name.substring(name.lastIndexOf(".")+1) + ".class";
            System.out.println(name + " loaded from " + theClass.getResource(name));
    }regards

  • "Invalid Annotation Object" error, can't save

    Hi,
    my dad's been working on a 50+ page .pdf document (adding annotations etc.) for several hours. When adding the most recent annotation, it showed a popup window saying "Invalid Annotation Object". No matter how many times we press "OK", the popup shows again. We can't even save the document or close it normally. I know he can always force close Reader, but that won't save the document. There's a .tmp file in AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\AutoSave, would that help me recover the document if I force closed the window? Or is there any way we could save the document?
    The OS is Windows 7. Thanks!

    Make a copy of that file to a different location before closing the application. Then force-close it and re-open, and see if it tries to recover the file. If not then you can use the .tmp file, just rename it first to .pdf ...

  • Error while reading: 'ungültiges Anmerkungsobjekt' (invalid annotation(al object))

    Dear users,
    I am currently reading and taking notes (highlighting and commentary) on a pdf document.
    Since last week, whenever I open it and reach the page where I stopped reading I get an error:
    'ungültiges Anmerkungsobjekt' (=invalid annotation(al object)). When I click on ok it reappears several times.
    As soon as I scroll it starts over. Other pdf documents works properly.
    What can I do?

  • Text annotation icon

    Hi would like to change a text annotation's icon.
    I do the following code in the PDPageDidAddAnnot notification :
    CosDictPutKeyString(cosAnnot,"Name",CosNewNameFromString(cDoc, false, getAnnotStyleFromXML(xmlLayer,annotClass)));
    But is has no effect. I have the same pb if I want to change the filling color of Square and Polygon annot.
    However I can change color for line, and polyline, it works.
    I saw in the pdfReference that if an annotation has an "AP" dict it takes precedance over the "Name" key. So I tryed to remove the AP but it doesn't work too.
    If someone has an idea,

  • Acrobat.exe closed by Windows & "invalid annotation object"

    While I am editing comments with Acrobat 9.3.1, I get a Windows error "acrobat.exe ..... closed by Windows"
    Then when I open the PDF document, I get "invalid annotation object" error, and the file is corrupted and not usable any more.
    Please advise me what steps I need to take to this frequent errors on my computer.  Thanks.

    I too had a Multi Page PDF that had the same "invalid annotation object".
    I was able to open & use the damaged  using Tracker Software - PDF Viewer - PDFXCview (free software - Google it)
    The file opened without error in PDFXCview and I was able to save it, but reopen in Acrobat still had the error.
    I re-opened it in PDFXCview and deleated the comments on the page that Acrobat reported the "invalid annotation object", and was able to save the file, which now opens in Acrobat without the error.

    <!-- profiles
    | This is a list of profiles which can be activated in a variety of ways, and which can modify
    | the build process. Profiles provided in the settings.xml are intended to provide local machine-
    | specific paths and repository locations which allow the build to work in the local environment.
    |
    | For example, if you have an integration testing plugin - like cactus - that needs to know where
    | your Tomcat instance is installed, you can provide a variable here such that the variable is
    | dereferenced during the build process to configure the cactus plugin.
    |
    | As noted above, profiles can be activated in a variety of ways. One way - the activeProfiles
    | section of this document (settings.xml) - will be discussed later. Another way essentially
    | relies on the detection of a system property, either matching a particular value for the property,
    | or merely testing its existence. Profiles can also be activated by JDK version prefix, where a
    | value of '1.4' might activate a profile when the build is executed on a JDK version of '1.4.2_07'.
    | Finally, the list of active profiles can be specified directly from the command line.
    |
    | NOTE: For profiles defined in the settings.xml, you are restricted to specifying only artifact
    | repositories, plugin repositories, and free-form properties to be used as configuration
    | variables for plugins in the POM.
    |
    |-->
    <profiles>
    <!-- profile
    | Specifies a set of introductions to the build process, to be activated using one or more of the
    | mechanisms described above. For inheritance purposes, and to activate profiles via <activatedProfiles/>
    | or the command line, profiles have to have an ID that is unique.
    |
    | An encouraged best practice for profile identification is to use a consistent naming convention
    | for profiles, such as 'env-dev', 'env-test', 'env-production', 'user-jdcasey', 'user-brett', etc.
    | This will make it more intuitive to understand what the set of introduced profiles is attempting
    | to accomplish, particularly when you only have a list of profile id's for debug.
    |
    | This profile example uses the JDK version to trigger activation, and provides a JDK-specific repo.
    <profile>
    <id>jdk-1.4</id>

    <layout>default</layout>
    <snapshotPolicy>always</snapshotPolicy>
    </repository>
    </repositories>
    </profile>
    -->
    <!--
    | Here is another profile, activated by the system property 'target-env' with a value of 'dev',
    | which provides a specific path to the Tomcat instance. To use this, your plugin configuration
    | might hypothetically look like:
    |
    | ...
    | <plugin>
    | <groupId>org.myco.myplugins</groupId>
    | <artifactId>myplugin</artifactId>
    |
    | <configuration>
    | <tomcatLocation>${tomcatPath}</tomcatLocation>
    | </configuration>
    | </plugin>
    | ...

    Please help!

    I'm going to try and bring this thread back from the dead.  Buckle up, long post ahead.
    Did you ever determine for sure that the issue was a system board?  I'm having a very similar issue with a machine.
    I am trying to apply an image to a customer machine using ImageX, but keep running into error 1392.  This error would flag a different file every time, but always at 45-49% completion.
    The image was provided by the customer in a PE image which was ghosted to multiple flash drives.  We have successfully applied the image to over 400 machines by first using disk part to clean the disk and create one ntfs partition.  We then run "Imagex.exe
    /apply path_to_customer_image.wim 1 C:"
    That is where this machine would find its hangup and spit out an imagex error 1392.
    My initial reaction was to replace the HDD, so I did.  The issue was not resolved, so I tested the ram and CPU with no change.  I replaced the system board with a brand new one, and the issue persists!!  This is basically a new machine by now,
    so I've pretty much ruled out hardware related possibilities.
    Curious as to the customer's specification on creating just one partition in preparation for imaging, I experimented a little.  I shredded the HDD in Parted Magic and used its partition editor to ensure there were no existing partitions.
    Using Disk Part from X: on the imaging flash drive, I cleaned the HDD (why not?) and created an initial ntfs partition of 100mb.  I labeled it "system" and assigned it letter S.  I then created a second ntfs partition of the remaining space,
    labeled it "windows," and assigned it letter C.  This partition I marked as active.
    I then ran chkdsk to scan for any possible drive errors.
    This time, running Imagex, the process made it to 77% before failing with error 1392 (again, a seemingly random file).  Seeing as how the failures were previously consistently between 45% and 49%, I figured I was on to something.  I repeated all of
    the disk prep steps above, making the "system" partition 500mb this time.
    ImageX was a success!!  100% of the WIM was applied and I received no errors.  Fantastic.
    I went to boot the machine and received an error that the boot files were missing.
    I booted back into the PE drive and tried running bcdboot to pull boot files and apply to my active OS partition at C:, but I received another error stating that there was a failure attempting to transfer the boot files.  I ran again in verbose and received
    an error code.  I cannot remember the error code for certain (I am currently cleaning the HDD), but according to my Google history, it was 0xc1.
    Any ideas??  The machine is an HP EliteBook 8470p.
    Update:  Parted Magic just crashed twice attempting to wipe the hard disk.  Once running from RAM, the second time running live from the USB.  This is new....

  • Intermedia annotator

    When trying to play mp3 file I receive:
    java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: QuickTimePlayer D:\Oracle\Ora81\ord\Annotator\media_data\annotator.mp3 error=2
    null

    In order to play video and audio clips in Annotator, you need to specify the location of the appropriate player program.
    In Annotator, go to Edit -> Preferences, and then click the Mime-Types tab. You should see a list of MimeTypes. You can double-click each row and specify the location of the player. For example, for mp3, my setting is "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimePlayer.exe".

  • EJB 3.0 Web Service

    Hi!
    I tried to create a Web Service (through wizard) from existing EJB 3.0 Session Bean. Basicly, the wizard just added @WebService annotation to my existing code...
    Now, the problem is that simple methods like:
    @WebMethod
    public String helloWorld() {
      return "Hello World!";
    }works fine. Expect that if I use Local Interface for this Session Bean, the WSDL shows two helloWorld methods (and one is with exclamation icon showing some kind of problem with multiple methods with same name - but it is not true, I have one and the other one is just interface).
    But, when I want to expose my real business service methods like:
    @WebMethod
    public List<Employee> getEmployees() {
      return (List<Employee>)q.getResultList();
    }it doesn't work (the Web Service create wizard finishes ok but service doesn't work)! When I try "Test Web Service" (from Session Bean context-menu) or "Show WSDL for Web Service annotations" the error is thrown (Null pointer exception in WSDL).
    Basically, it looks to me that Web Service cannot use EJB Entities as parameters or results. Is this correct? I saw some examples on EJB 3.0 web services and there are entities routinely used as both input and output parameters.
    Can someone, please, explain me what I'm doing wrong here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pedja
    P.S. In Web Service wizard, only SOAP 1.1 is enabled. How can I choose SOAP 1.2? And what EJB 3.0 bindings are in same context (SOAP 1.2 or EJB 3.0 bindings?)?

    Hi Frank,
    Most of those problems are resolved (NPE was due to Timestamp field, and two methods with the same name in WSDL because of not choosing to generate SEI in wizard, so the generated WSDL had one method from the Session bean and the other from it's Local interface). But, the errors should DEFINITELY be more descriptive.
    Does the wizard work correctly? I noticed plenty of "bug like" details. For example, if I choose to create asynchronous web service, later when I go to Properties the "Asynchronous Web Service" checkbox isn't checked. Also, the @WebMethod annotations are sometimes generated and sometimes not (even if the method is checked to be exposed).
    I am also getting these exceptions when I create a proxy for the asynchronous web service (I selected "Generate asynchronous methods for all operations"), could be I'm doing something wrong:
    WARNING: The parameter/return type "java.util.concurrent.Future" in the method
