Any DCOM object to query SAP Systems status

Hi All,
I am looking to write a either VBScript or VB application to quickly query status of all the SAP Systems in our environment. I am currently using sapcontrol.exe in a batch file but I am unable to manipulate its output. This is just a temporary solution until we get the solution monitoring up and running.
I did some research on ISAPControl DCOM object but it has to run on the physical server of the SAP System.
Any help is highly appreciated.

I used SAPControl.exe in a windows batch file to query the SAP Systems I want and dumped it to a SQL table. Wrote queries on top of it to summarize and used xp_sendmail to send the results. Worked out pretty good. I understand I can use Solution Manager to do the same. But I wanted something outside of SAP infrastructure.

Problem in moving object from one SAP system to another....

Hi,
I have created a transport request in System A client 800.
I am trying to move the Transport request to System B client 900.
(Note: A and B are different SAP systems)
I first release the object going in system A client 800 using transaction se09.
Now I go to System B client 900 and then to transaction STMS. After this I click on display import queue for System A inside transaction STMS in System B. Then I go to EXTRAS ->Other Requests Add. The import queue name is defaulted by System A and then I add the Transport Request number. Then the system asks me to login in Sytem A client 800. I login successfully. But I get an error message:
"Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247
Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile"
Can someone tell me how to solve this error ? What is the issue ?

How to find out a list of modified objects in an SAP system

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask.
In preparation for an upcoming upgrade of a SAP 4.6c system, I have been asked to generate a list of SAP objects that have been modified over the years.
Is there a table or a report that I can use to find this out? Thanks!

Hi,
You can unlock locked objects in transaction SE03.
Click on Display Repaired objects.
You can see all the objects that are locked.
To unlock you can select the particular object and click on Unlock.
Do reward points if the answer to your question is met.

ECR/ECO Authorization on system statuses - Coding help requested

HI PLM Gurus,
Unfortunately ( or that ,,,Iam not aware of)There is no SAP standard Authorization object to control a user setting a particular system status in ECR/ECO. This means by SAP's standard functionality any user who is authorized with authorization objects ECM_REQ and ECM_ORD in their role and all activities allowed, can set any statuses in ECR /ECO.
But typical business requirment in any change management requires the control status wise and so do we have one.
We knew this can be achieved by a custom authorization object. We have created a manual object but need help with coding to get the current status of the object for matching the authorization (allowed) values .
Any help is appreciated.

Just to clarify ,I knew about the exit and Iam using the same exit, I was trying to get help on the coding part . Identifying Exit is not a problem .( we have used this exit a number of times for different requirements in ECM, like checking the lab/office field for an object before setting a system status , defaulting a new version of document etc)
Update : Got a parameter ( a dynamic field value)which helped us code very easily
,,,,Can share with you .
For system level authorization checks ,one can use Digital signatures and this might be the reason for not having(SAP not providing) a standard authorization object for "system status check "in Standard SAP ECM Authorizations.

Cannot query MSSQL system tables over db link created using DG4MSQL

I am trying to create db link from Oracle 11g to SQL Server 2005 using DG4MSQL gateway. After creating db link I am not able to query MSSQL system views(sys.services or sys.objects) using JDBC driver. But I am able to query all user tables using JDBC driver. But if I use sqlplus, I am able to query all tables including system tables. Since my project is Java project, I am bound to use JDBC driver. One more observation I made is that, if I use DG4ODBC instead of DG4MSQL gateway, then I am able to query all MSSQL tables including system tables uding JDBC driver. Please let me know if there are any ways I can query MSSQL system tables using DG4MSQL and JDBC driver.

There's a bug in the JDBC driver and for 11.2.0.1 a fix is available on my Oracle Support -> look for fix 9496068 - it is a generic platform fix. According to the bug matrix this fix is also included in the 11.2.0.3 JDBC driver. Are you using this JDBC driver version?

System status PIAC is active

Hi All,
While Iam trying to do physical count MI04 system thorwing this error message
{System status PIAC is active (EQU 10000001)
Object EQU 10000001 has system status PIAC (Inventory Active). According to this status, transaction 'Physical inventory' is not allowed.}
This material have activated serial management. In MI04 physical count I had entered Qty. and system will pop up new diallog box enter serial number I had enetred serial no. still system is throwing above error messge.
Please any one can help how to fix this error messge.

May be your MM person has posted the physical inventory for adjusting the stock for your material with serial number ,kindly consult with MM person on this.which may forbid the order for issuing the components

System status CLSD is active , Message no. BS013

Hi Experts,
One of our users got below error message when they run Dep. the order is a PM order. PM user has created and due to some reason they have not processed and later it has been closed. This order does not have any actual postings or any settlement rule as well. This error seems to be very illogical and unusual.
User has tried to activate status closed but that function is not active.
System status CLSD is active (ORD XXXXX)
Message no. BS013
Diagnosis
Object ORD XXXXXX has system status CLSD (Closed). According to this status, transaction 'FI: Postings' is not allowed.
Procedure
You can only carry out the requested function if this is allowed according to the status of the object.

Hi Aziz,
It looks like the order was closed - status CLSD active.
You need to revoke status "Closed" before you can post to it.
To revoke CLSD in IW32 in menu:
Order --> Functions -> Complete -> Cancel business completion

Option "SAP system" missing in SAP installer Win 2003 (32 bit)

We have SAP NW 7.0 SR3 & SAP ERP 6.0 SR3
When we are trying to install SAP ERP/ NW using master installer on Win 2003 32 bit (any database) the installation option "SAP Systems" is missing.
The same is available in Win 64 bit installation.
We have copied product.catalog file from 64 bit setup to 32 bit setup and started sapinst.exe again.
It worked fine.
ECC has been installed and we are able to thru SAP GUI (thick client).
Is it OK to do so?
Was this intentional or a bug in setup?

Hi Ruhi,
New installation of ECC6 is for 64 bit only.You can not have 32bit installation any more.
That can be a reason.

Scenario for interface between a non sap system and a SAP erp

Hello,
I need some help in order to elaborate a interface between a SAP ERP and a non-sap system with the help of a XI system.
   - At first regarding the interface from the non sap system and a SAP ERP :
       the non sap system sends a flat file to the XI system. The flat file contains a row with header data and rows with item data. We were thinking when the file arrives to the XI system, to save the data in a header database and in a items database in XI. is it possible ?
And then to have like a job that reads the database and creates idoc and sends them to the SAP erp and updates the xi header and items database with a flag that means that the records have been sent to the SAP erp.
   -   Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system:
       the SAP erp sends idoc to XI. Then the idocs are transformed into flat file.
Is this scenario possible ?
Do we need any adaptator between the non sap system and the XI ?

Hi Bontron,
Idoc doesnot support synchronous call. So you can use either proxy or function module and inturn call the idoc from them and send response back to xi. You need to have two scenarios for your design.
Scenario1:   Source File (file adapter) -- xi -- Dump into database tables (Jdbc Adapter)
Scenrio2: Pickup form Database tables (Jdbc Adapter) -- xi -- RFC Adapter ---> This is synchronous call.
Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system
You can send idoc to xi and from there use File adapter to send to the receiving system.

      I have changed the status "TECO"(the status is "TECO PCNF DLV PRC GMPS MANC SETC"),then I settlement the production order.
     The system still error:
"Debit from actual settlement" not allowed (Sys. status REL, object VB0000000015000010)

The status check for the status object VB0000000015000010 indicated that the procedure "Debit from actual settlement" cannot be performed because Sys. status REL forbids it.
System Response
Procedure "Debit from actual settlement" is not performed.
Procedure
If procedure "Debit from actual settlement" is to be performed, the Sys. status REL of object VB0000000015000010 must be reset.
Other statuses than Sys. status REL can also prevent the procedure. This message does not tell you all statuses which currently prevent procedure "Debit from actual settlement".

SAP NetWeaver 7.1 CE SP05 Trial - SAP System is missing

To all:
I have completed the installation of SAP NetWeaver 7.1 CE SP05 Trial locally to my PC.
When I go into NWDC, I noticed that a SAP instance does not exist in the pulldown Windows -> Preferences - SAP AS Java. When I tried to register my Instance Host and Instance Number it says the sap instance is not currently reachable, check instance name,
So, my question is to everyone, any ideas on why my SAP System is not displayed?
Do I have to have that defined prior to registering the Instance Host and Instance Number?
I have looked at SAP MCC and made sure that for CE1, that my
Instance Host and Instance Number are there.

Dear,
WCRE - Indicates Workcenter Until Release.
Please check the status of you work center CR02 it should not be locked or active for deletion flag also the usage as 009. Also check the setting of OP45.
Go to BS22 transaction for "I0270 - WCRE Work center until release" double click and for release make it allow.
