Any more configureation needed for RFC -File Syncronous scenario?

HI Experts,
I am working on File to RFC syncronous scenario.
I imported RFC which has Mess, Res and Excep
I have ED which has only Mess
Now I need to send file using File Adaptor to ECC using RFC and ECC has to send resp back to File using File Adaptor.
I created:
MI
MI_File_Meg_os (File Message Output Syncronous) ---> Mess ED
> MT_Res -
> DT_Res
MI_RFC_Meg_is (Input RFC Message ) ---> Mess
> Resp
I cretaed MM for (Message and Response), IM (mapped for both mess and respose) and activated.
I created 3 Communicaiton Channel (File_Sender, File_Receiver and RFC_Receiver), Rec Determination, Sender Aggrement and Receiver Aggrement.
Do I need to create any more objects or configure ?

Urgent.... Help Needed for Storing file in Application Server

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I have to save a file in Application Server.
File is of 141 Character Length, so there can be spaces left at the end.
When I am downloading the file into Application Sever and then downloading the same file from Application Server to Presentation into a notepad then the spaces at the end are truncating.
I want that the file that is generated should be of 141 character though if there may be spaces at the end.
It will be great if you can help me out in this.

when downloading to App server, you need to specify the LENGTH option on your TRANSFER ststement to keep fixed length. You must also use a STRING type variable in your transfer.
From Documentation on Transfer command:
<b>If the file was opened as a text file or a legacy text file, the trailing blank characters are deleted for all data objects, except for those of data type string. The line end marker defined when the file was opened is then added to the remaining content of the data object or to the result of the conversion, and the final result is written byte-by-byte to the file.</b>
There also used to be a problem with WS_DOWNLOAD - you had to do the following:
Maintaining Trailing spaces when downloading to PC
Before calling DOWNLOAD or WS_DOWNLOAD, do a perform SET_TRAIL_BLANKS(saplgrap) using 'X'
To set the length of each record including your blanks add this code: perform SET_FIXLEN(saplgrap) using '0' '100'
Don't think this is needed any more.

Any maintenance work needed to decrease file size / speed up initialization

As we find that the initialization performance of the dashboard is not good, my teammate tried to cut down some data and formula in the Xcelsius file
She keep track on the file size and found that the file size is not decreased even she removed a lot of contents. I'm thinking if there is any tools or function for to re-index or recompile the XLF file?
Besides, any good tips to speed up initiation performance is highly appreciable!
Note: we are working very hard in reducing the using of sumif, countif, vlookup and hlookup already but these cannot be totally avoided based on our requirements~

As you already mentioned, the loading performance of the swf-file mainly depends on the amount of data included into the spreadsheet and the number and complexity of the excel-formulas you used.
Also the number of the components placed on the the dashboard has an influence on the performance.
To speed up the initialization the first approach would be to reduce the embedded data and formulas.
This can be achieved through dynamically loading the data at runtime via a data connection.
Another approach is to split the dashboard into several XLF-/SWF-Files which are also dynamically loaded on demand at runtime.
This can be achieved via the slide-show or swf-loader component in Xcelsius.
The last, but not recommended, approach is to embedded the swf into a html-file and to do some calculations and navigation-logic in java-script via the external interface connection (EIC).

I just read that apple is providing updated printer driver packages sometimes (they just released packages for samsung, canon, gestedner etc.) so it seems they do take care about these issues.

Yes, if you are planning to install new system(BW 7.3). No need for migration or use oracle DB.
BW 7.3 on HANA, where HANA will work as DB for your BW 7.3.

"Broken" MD5 and SHA-1: Any measures available/needed for JCA/JCE/JSSE ?

As security reports emerge saying MD5 and SHA-1 algos being broken I d'like to know what this means to us as longterm users of Sun's JCA/JCE/JSSE implementations within 1.3.1, 1.4.2 and 1.6 JRE / JDK.
Main area of our usage:
- Key and certificate generation by keytool and/or openssl
- TLS communications with above material from jks keystores and SunPksc11 along with smartcards used with java client and servers, webbrowsers and servers.
A common recommendation I've got regarding SHA-1 is to upgrade to SHA-256, 384 or even 512.
Is this feasible / needed for above applications?
What about MD5?

It may be worth asking Apple via Express Lane, but I suspect it may mean you doing your journals again. I was just trying to determine whether the files you see in 'manage' are all your journals or just those you created after expanding your space. If they are all your journals, you may want to delete them before you create to many more, if you need to delete them later to free up space, you may well lose all your journals.

We have a requirement to test the SAP ECC6.0 connectivity with SAP PI7.1 system with a scenario.
We need to use a RFC in ECC6.0, import the function module in PI and build the scenario.
For this we have created a
1. Logical system in ECC6.0
2. Port in ECC6.0
3. RFC destination in ECC6.0 with a registered program id, type T, gateway host of ECC
4. Partner Profile in ECC6.0
5.Technical System using logical system of ECC6.0(as created in 1) in PI7.1
6. Associated Business system
Somehow our scenario is not working, can anyone suggest with the correct settings.

Microphone needed for WAV file creation

I need a Microphone for my iMac G5 to record a wav file. The source of the sound I want to record is a Verizon cell phone message. I want to record the message and save it as a WAV file, but I don't currently have a device like a Microphone to record sound on my iMac.
My old G3 Beige Mic doesn't work on the G5. What product do I need?

Depending on the model you might have a built-in microphone on your iMac.
If you decide to use it make sure the room is very quiet. I had to turn off TV and chase my wonderful but very loud children into another room.
Check and see.
On mine if I go to System Preferences-Sound-Input look and see if it says anything about Internal Microphone. If so you are in luck.

No more than 8Mbps for writing files with TC !

I just buy a brand new TC 3To. Internet bandwith is great (more than 80Mbps), but no more than 8 Mbps for writing a file between my mac and the Time Capsule.
How can you explain that ?

Test it with ethernet not wireless if you are on wireless.
What computer are you copying the files to the TC with? What OS and how are you copying?
Is it one large file or a bunch of small files.. the later can be really slow due to time it takes to write allocation table info, cf the actual copy.. the best test is one very large file.. 2GB or so that you copy.. Make sure you do not copy files to the sparsebundle that TM made.. Make sure TM is not running when the files are being copied.

How much disk space is needed for scratch files?

I hope I am allowed one dumb question. If so, I would like to know how much disk space should I allow when setting scratch files, if my MTS file is 16GB? I am using Premiere Pro CS5 on a PC with Windows 7 Pro-64 bit.
