Any tools for converting java class to xml schema ?

Hi,
Are there any tools out there that can convert my java class to xml schema. How such tools take care of java collections like HashTable, ArrayList etc. in my class structure. I am not interested in writing any configuration files(like jaxb configuration files, jibx binding xml files etc.) for serving this purpose and the can be able to give me xml schema from the java classes. Please suggest ...
I am not sure even JAXB 2.0 allows me to do this without writing any jaxb configuration files or annotations in my java class which is not there in JDK 1.4.2

You can convert the EDI file to XML in any of the ways
1) Using third party seeburger adapters
2) Conversion agent
3) Stylus studio.
I think using java code it will be very difficult.

Solved my own problem and forgot to post the answer: the "xsd:import" is also considered as a targetNamespace, so each xsd:import needs a package specified as well when using oracg. It would be helpful if the Oracle documentation had stated that, but it does not point this out.

Errors generating Java classes from XML schema

I received the following errors when generating Java classes from the schema located at: http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_qti_rootv1p1.xsd and http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_xml.xsd
XML Spy v4 claims that the schema is well-formed and valid. Could this be a problem with the class generators, or is XML Spy not telling the truth?

Thanks for having a look at the problem. I am using the 9.0.2.0B version with Java 2 Standard Edition Build 1.3.1-b24. The classgen -version option returns 9.0.2.0b-beta - and xmlparserv2.jar and xschema.jar are from the same distribution. Running the corresponding DTD from the same source work fine - I'm just havinf this problem with the XSD. Anything else I should look at?

Tools for Comparing Java Class Files

Are there any tools out there that can compare two .class files to see if they are the same ?? Please help.

In Windows there's the FC command that compares two files to see if they are identical. In Unix there is no doubt a similar command. Or you could write a small bit of Java code that reads the two class files and compares them byte by byte.

Generation of java classes from XML Schema.

I am working with JWSDP-2.0 but got stucked.:
To generate Java classes from an XML Schema with the JAXB ,I need to have following jar file in thils location with this JWSDP-2.0

<JWSDP>/jwsdp-shared/lib/jax-qname.jar
<JWSDP>/jwsdp-shared/lib/relaxngDatatype.jar
And here I m not finding as jaxb-libs.jar,namespace.jar and jax-qname.jar on respective location.
If I m putting these left jar file from another place it is not generating all the classes as at least in number it should be 45 but it is generating merely 5 classes.
Can any one help me regarding this.

These JAXB JAR files are for JAXB 1.0.
For JAXB 2.0 the following JAR files are required.

Any workarounds for not supported features of XML Schema

We are trying to generate JAVA source code by providing a xsd.
This XML Schema file has all sorts of Identity constraints & attribute wildcards.
Due to the above reasons I am unable to generate the code.
Are there any workarounds? If so Please share those.

About generating Java classes from XSD Schema ???

I need a powerfull tool to generate Java classes from XML Schema. I want that generated classes to have the option to validate XML(to be JAXP1.2 compliant).
I used XML Spy 5.4 but the generated classes can't validate an XML file.
Can you help me with other tools that:
- generate Java classes from XSD
- generate sample XML from XSD
- are JAXP1.2 compliant(validate a XML file with a schema)

You can also use Castor: http://www.castor.org
It generates classes from XML Schemas and enables data
binding without writing any line of a fuckin SAX
parser :-)I evaluated Castor and JAXB and while JAXB isn't perfect, it's got some things over Castor. Castor almost looks abandonded when I go to the site. The documentation just sort of trails off.

first i ve made the jar file of this class
jar cvf chatServer.jar chatServer.classafter getting the jar chatServer.jar. I ve opened the .net dos prompt and
type this command which ll make dll file automatically....

I cant get the problem origin from where it is comming, when i tried to convert it into .dll file it shown an error that, it did not recongnized the method in first class
public static void chatServerReadThread.start() method
is not recognized by .net dos prompt commnad. But when i omit this method it gets created the .dll file. This start method is basically the default method of thread class that run the thread from the same class..
By vewing the code u can visulize the thing,, i ve marked the code from where the error is comming.
Plz do it as soon as possible, i ll waiting for ur reply......

Your chatServer is an application that can be started from the commandline.
A dll is a library to be used in com, com+, other executables or ....

JAXB will create classes from an XML schema, SAX is a parser library and JAXP is a library of XML a bunch of XML tools.
I don't care for JAXB too much. I would skip it and go right to the JAX-RPC spec (WebServices).

With this component it was my intention to make a more "terse" version of the LabVIEW Flatten to XML VI that was also supported on RT and that gave the user more flexbility regarding the structure of the parsing type definition. I think you are right that the XML parser is not compliant to section 2.11 of the XML spec. The parser does specifically looking for a #D#A and this appears to be an oversight on my part. Please confirm for me, the specifcation is saying that the XML parser should be able to recognize three possibilities as an "end of line" character: #D#A, #D, or #A. Am I reading this right?There are more efficient (and in some cases much more efficient) ways of sharing data between LabVIEW and LabVIEW: some examples are flattened binary strings and the datalog binary format. XML is slower than these optons but the upside is that it is human readable. Furthermore XML is inherently hierarchical which is convenient for complex data structures like clusters of arrays of clusters, etc. If you don't care about human readability then you are correct XML doesn't make as much sense.I will return to the GXML source code and try to fix this in the near future but I would hope that instead of creating yet another custom VI from scratch that you could reuse what I have provided for you. I included enough documentation in the source code so that users could make some modificiations themselves. The target application for this reference library was LabVIEW to LabVIEW communication. As such I documented the schema on the dev zone document from a LabVIEW perspective. It includes all the supported datatypes and all the supported data structures (cluters, arrays, multidimensional arrays, clusters of multidimensional arrays, etc.) I do see some value in making a more conventional XML spec but the time investment required didn't really line up with my intended use case. Ignore some fields while saving a Java class into XML

I've seen in this forum that there is an easy way of saving Java classes to XML files using Castor. I want to save some Java classes into XML, but not all the fields of the class. For example, I want to ignore all lists. Is there any easy way to do something like this:

You can add a managed bean by:
- manually adding a definition in the faces config source tab.
- creating a bean in the overview tab of the faces-config editor.
So yes, you can edit the faces-config manually.
