Anyone know these devices come with a one year warranty ?
My Network Extender stopped working a month ago, I travel alot for business so I didn't even notice it till i tried to make a call with my phone from my house.
I called up Verizon and they said they would give me a new one at no cost, and the tech tried to place 5 orders in the system to get me this replacement device. All were canceled.
Without notifying me that they were canceled, I had to find out by logging into my account, I was told the reason why was because their device that they sold me that was supposed to fix my issue with using my phone on there network was out of warranty, and I would have to pay 150 dollars more, one year and 2 months after I received their device.
I asked if there was any supervisor that I could plead my case to and I was told that actually it was her supervisor who tried to push through this process and the verizon system would not allow it.
My roommate's have a sprint extender, which was free, and works perfectly.
In having a candid conversation with the tech who was excellent by the way, I discussed that it would be easier to add this device to the punkin chunkin event, or perhaps go to a Verizon store and light in on fire in protest, or that I should buy one on EBAY with no understanding if it works before the purchase.
So what I ask, is firstly why would the verizon team decided that charging me for a device to use their system is a smart business decision ?
Did anyone get notified up front of a one year warranty on a device they force you to buy offering you a phony 75 dollar discount as the device retails foe 225 dollars by no one in their right mind would by one, if it werent for the horrible signal issues.
I mean honestly, does anyone buy a baby seat for their car if they don't have babies ? Which might even be a better question..
I totally understand that verizon isn't expected to work everywhere. The fact that it works at all we should be glad.
Is there any device that you have owned, that comes with a one year warranty, maybe I am asking too much out of a device made by samsung?
The Tech last night also explained to me that there are people on my street that have had to buy this device every year for 3 years. That says to me that their is an issue with the device, and that they shouldn't be charging us for it.
I am looking at the sprint one on my desk right now, it is fully operational and was free.
Do you think its correct that we should be charged for the device ? Considering in most cases, since people don't lock out telephones, everyone could take advantage of it in your neighborhood. so technically, I am allowing them to place a cell tower in my house, using my network connections to make their service better.

A unit replaced under warranty will have the balance of the warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer. No, it does not cover physical damage, such as broken screens.

When I went to the applestore I was told that it was covered for only 90 days. What I read on the website says 1 year. The tech also did not seem to know much about the ipod classic. He was very rude and condescending.
Hey James1964,
Sorry to hear about your experience at the store. You can leave feedback here:
http://www.apple.com/retail/feedback/
To address the issue with the iPod, if you haven't already done them, I'd like to supply you with the recommended troubleshooting steps for when you see that red "X" icon on your iPod:
Restore iPod from Disk Mode
Disconnect iPod from your computer.
Manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
Restore iPod.
Setup Service for iPod
If you cannot force your iPod into disk mode and restore it, then your iPod may need service. Click one of the links below to setup an iPod Service Request online or make a reservation at the Genius Bar before visiting your local Apple Retail Store.

Is my ipod touch 4g 32gb battery covered by my one year warranty?
At first, my ipod touch 4th generation 32gb was awesome. It was fast and it worked well (I bought it in February of 2012). But then I noticed some differences, it started to get a lot slower and just a few days ago something went wrong with the battery. I fully charged it thenI unplugged it before i went to sleep at 8:30 P.M., i woke up at 7:00 A.M. And it was dead. It also takes about 25 minutes now to start up after it dying and plugging it in to charge. By what i've been told every system comes with a 1-year warranty so i'm still covered. Also apps crash constantly every day. Am i able to send it in for a new one?
Have you tried resetting it and if that did not work, restoring it from a backup and finally restoring it to factory settings? If none of these things helped, this is probably a hardware problem. Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished 4G 32gb model under the warranty (unless they determine that the problem was cause by accident damage such as dropping it in water).

Does anyone know how to comunicate with a USB port using labview 6?
Does anyone know how to comunicate with a USB port using labview 6?
Unfortunately, there is no way to communicate directly with a USB port before LabVIEW 7.0 and VISA 3.0. With the new releases, there are functions called "VISA USB Control In" and "VISA USB Control Out" that give you direct access to a USB port.
You can definitely communicate with DAQ, Serial, or GPIB devices that are connected through a USB port, though. This is done seamlessly through the NI-DAQ, NI-Serial, and NI-488.2 drivers.

Does anyone know what's up with the iPhone 4s' battery life? Some days it last a long time and other days it drains extremely fast.
Not to point out the obvious, but battery life depends very much on what is running and how much the device is being used.
If the battery lasts longer on a day you make no phone calls, but lasts less the day you make 5 hour long calls, this is to be expected.
If however the iPhone has the same level of use on both days, with different power consumption, this would infer a background process (or App) is trying to do something (connecting to server or creating a back up etc).
I switched off all thrid party apps from being included in my iCloud backup, which saves a huge amount of space on the cloud and allows the back up to take barely a couple of minutes.
Battery life seems ok so far on my 64GB 4S (Bluetooth on, Wi-Fi on, Location Services on, Push notifications on, Screen set to just under half brightness with Auto Adjust on) -
I have this question mark (?) in the upper left corner of my Finder windows. Anyone know what's up with that, what it might portend, and how to get rid of it?
Are you sure you have a PowerMac? They can't run Mac OS 10.6.8. Maybe a Mac Pro instead?
Can you post a screen shot of that portion of the screeen for us to review? Does the question mark replace the Apple that's at the left end of the menubar? -
Does anyone know why- when I import a one minute video project into Final Cut X from I Movie the resolution that looked alright full screen in I Movie instantly becomes worst on full screen in Final Cut X...but clear again when I stop it to still position?
I'm new to video editing but I think I recall seeing an option in FCPX which lets you choose the video quality for the preview window. I think the window reduces the quality when playing back for performance reasons and so perhaps that is why it seems to have less quality when moved over to FCPX? Just a possibility, I'm sure one of the more experienced users can confirm or deny this theory.

When opening Aperture I get Warning that says "There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Desktop/Feb 12, 2011.aplibrary.” That's it. The program does not open at all. I'm concerned that my pictures may be lost. Does anyone know how to deal with this Warning?
Might just need to rebuild the library...see this link:

Does the one year warranty that comes with my phone cover the charging cord ?
I have an iphone 4S and the charging cord that came with the phone has stopped working. I was wondering if the one year warranty that i have for my phone covers the charging cord ?
if the cable is damaged you will need any way another one, so call Apple and ask for replacement and in case they recieve the Cable and they find out that it's covered they will bill you and then you will see that the deposit is less expensive then to buy new Cable
